Hey gang - I've just had my first card in GWF 2098, and Colossus has made the single most impressive debut ever.
He was originally slated to wrestle a match against Quasar on the undercard, which he won. But the drama occured when GWF Galaxian Champion Alpha Force refused to appear for a scheduled title defense against the #1 Contender, Spike. (Remember, in card year 2098, Alpha Force would not wrestle on a roll of a "6")
So with Spike there and Alpha Force absent, Commissioner Carter had no choice but to strip Alpha Force of the GWF Galaxian Championship. Spike went over to grab the title belt when Commissioner Carter laid down the law. He said that the GWF Galaxian Championship is a belt to be earned, not given away. To that end, he said that Spike would face a wrestler whose name was going to be selected at random, and the winner of that match would earn the title.
The name selected on the GalactiTron... COLOSSUS!!!
In only his second match and in his first ever GWF appearance, he and Spike had an amazing match that saw nine combined falls before Colossus used the CYBORG DEATHBLOW to defeat Spike.
Colossus has done the impossible, and has shocked the galaxy. He entered the GWF tonight as a rookie looking to get some attention and experience working an underneath match. But no one could have expected that at the end of the night, he would become the GWF Galaxian Champion!
This ever happen in any of your feds? Did Colossus ever do anything like that? How about any other title upsets?

Damn that's awesome Jimmyface! In my fed (2101)Colossus is in a heated rivalry vs. Heracles. The only huge ever shock I ever played card wise. Amazing Mann beat Disaster for the GWF title. It was only suppose to be tune up match but won the belt. and he made 13 successful defences before leaving for aCe.

Sort of ... since my titles are weight divisions it produced some interesting feuds. One of which saw an unstoppable Chaos cross paths with the Draconian Sheik. When I first booked this match I was like this will be one and done but sure enough Sheik held his own and nearly won the title if not for Chaos being counted out. This feud lasted almost three years and contained all three of the Sheiks heavyweight title runs!

that's a great storyline. Did you really just "pick him at random"? Or did you just use that angle for a story line to give Colossus an early shot to see how he fared? What are the odds of that happening to get drawn at random and win the title all in one night. That's fantastic!
I've never done that in my play, but Colossus did hold his own in my play. He's not a bad wrestler and was even better when teamed with Hercales!

For real, Justin! I made a list of all the wrestlers who won their undercard matches (Death's Head, Splatter, Colossus, Darkos & Grunge), and I drew Colossus' name. On paper, he was not supposed to stop Spike, who was coming into this match as a #1 Contender and a 3-Time GWF Galaxian Champion. And the match was a close one up until he won it. No rookie has ever won a title in their first GWF card, and no one ever saw a wrestler winning the most pretigious title in sports on their first night on the job. Can you imagine if WWE/TNA/ROH had a rookie win their world title on their first night with the company?

that is incredible! All the planets must have been in alignment that night! I can't imagine a rookie in the WWE/TNA/ROH winning a title in the first night. IF they ever did that, I'm sure he wouldn't hold the title very long, maybe the next card he'd lose it!? But that of course would only be done to give him a big push as the superstar of the future, like an example, "The Next Big Thing" Brock Lesnar?! Not even Lesnar got the title in his rookie year! This will be really fun to see just how Colossus does now in the coming weeks and if he's able to hold on to that title, this could be the ground breaker of things to come in your fed history! Outstanding!

Well Carlito did win the US title in his first match on Smackdown! if I remember right. I know he won the IC title in his first match on Raw after he got drafted a few years back.

yeah, but that wasn't the Main Heavyweight title. I don't remember anyone that has won a Major title on their first night, in their rookie year. What Colossus did is unheard of and could shatter any record in any fed's history!

That is true. I have to say that is quite a way for the dice to roll. That's what's so great about this game!

What else would you expect from someone trained by THE MAN, Torin Caelum?
Sounds like a fun card to play out Jimmyface. I bet you were going nuts when Colossus won. Keep us posted on how long he holds onto the strap!
