My top 20 (in no special order) 1. Having the honor of my Money in the Bank match being played by a group at the Saturday AM Pre-con. 2. What Swarm didn't mention... Monolith missed his finisher THREE TIMES in the Galacticon championship match before beating Endgame... Rob was priceless! 3. The buildup to the revealing of the identity of Iron Hand 4. Playing POW/MMA. great fun 5. Getting the new LOW set with RVD, Danielson, One Man Gang, and so on. 6. Having a good run in the LOW tournament with John Pesek! 7. Almost beating Aethrean Overlord in the GWF tournament with Retribution. Had him up to 8 tokens, but he kept kicking out. Broc finally won that match and went on to win the GWF tournament with Overlord. 8. LOWF announcement of Austin Aries' signing. GREAT WORK GUYS! 9. Watching the UFC Pay-per-view with about 30 guys packed into the conference room at the Hampton. 10. Cameos by Louden, Grant, Ashby, and Chuck Carter 11. The grand screw-up by Avarice on the trip home We were all waiting for him to get back into Eliath's SUV when he opened the door and tried to climb into the WRONG SUV next to ours. Luckily, the very nice lady with the two young kids handled it well and didn't mace the poor sap. 12. Since I'm telling stories on Avarice... memory #12 will be the stop off at Eliath's pad, where the three-year-old repeatedly called me 'Grampa'. 13. Old friends, too many to name, but travelling with Eliath and Jmello makes the trip 1000X more fun, and I look forward to seeing the whole gang from year to year. 14. New friends, Eric (Avarice), Kirk from PA, and the chance to get to know some of the old faces better. 15. Losing tournament after tournament... 16. The PASSION that all these guys have for the game! Everyone has a different style and a different emphasis- some love the game play, some love the story lines, some love the art work, but everybody is really amped up about this game and it is a great atmosphere! 17. Breakfast at Bob Evans before the Con, and the flirty waitress giving jmello a child's book to keep him occupied during the wait 18. Three uninterrupted days of guy time... enjoying my passion for wrestling without feeling like a dork! 19. The tributes to Galacticon #20 and to Bob Hoffa 20. The man himself, Tom Filsinger, whose combination of creativity to produce the game, and humility to allow the promoters so much leeway into its development, make this a fabulous hobby. Tom pours himself into the hobby all year long, and goes all out for Galacticon weekend to bring people together. Still, he manages to connect with each attendee on an individual level and make everyone feel welcome. He accomplishes all of this while being a great family man- his wife and kids come to Galacticon and interact with the players too. Heck, I could do a "top 20" list of the things I admire and respect about Tom himself!

Next year you better believe Daimyo Ball is gonna be serious! If anything I can promise its going to wild when Rush, Payback, and Godsend team up!
In all seriousness however G- Con was great this year, I got to reconnect with the gaming community and get back into the swing of things playing the game and all.
Thanks to all who attended and supported Rush over the years, It truly means a lot.

*As posted on the GBITG
Thanks for the kind words fellas. This was a huge learning experience for me, as I've never ran tournaments with this many people in such a wide space, with multiple rooms. Next year it'll run even smoother, as a few ideas we implement are sure to ease the process.
A few memories of mine:
1. The revealing of Iron Hand as Sly Drury and hearing a cricket chirp. No seriously, there were crickets chirping. I was thinking...Sly Drury just beat Monolith for the title in my fed, what am I going to do with this?
2. Seeing Butcher and then not seeing Butcher. The guy didn't stick around and is the ultimate escape artist.
3. Playing a Royal Rumble Fridat Night with Eliath, that way he could see how I run my Rumbles using the randomizer.
4. Eating at Bob Evan's, sitting at a table by myself in "time out" as the 8 other people there mocked me. The waitress giving me a Dr. Seuss A,B,C book to read, until John and Ryan came in and saved me from my loneliness.
5. Playing in the first ever MITB ladder match, pre Galacticon. It was an exciting match thank to Dave and Eliath.
6. Winning a tournament pre Galacticon to qualify for the Interplanetary Title. Sabetour was never a favorite of mine, but winning with him gave me a new found respect for him.
7. Winning a tournament for the first time at Galacticon. The GWFZ was kind to me as Narcotik took me to a victory.
8. Winning the color card set from Kevin Knipe, as some of the color cards have eluded me in the past.
9. Watching the UFC PPV at the Hampton Inn, while drinking a smooth Sleeman's No. 20 beer. Having everyone gather there and watching each match come to an outcome that I wanted.
10. Watching Throwing Toasters on the overhead projection and prank calling Grant's agent, reenacting his "Leslie" or "April" song.
11. Kyle (Grumpy's stepson) being hungry and getting caught taking donuts from the breakfast area at 3 AM.
12. The sign at the Sheldon House that says "please remove your boots and rubber."
13. Playing against Grant in a Reptillo vs. Duplos match and beating him with his own Z character.
14. Beating Osk's Avarice in the Galacticup tournament, using Shylock (OhioCon Legend), only to be trounced by Swarm's Monolith in a minute.
15. Watching Swarm vs. Jim in the Galacticup Finals and seeing Swarm miss 3 THE END OF ALL THINGS. I didn't even know that was possible.
16. Visiting with everyone; Eliath, Dave, Avarice, Reno, Mike Fortune, Nitro, Werner, Grant, Osk, Jeff G., Grumpy, John, Ryan, Mike M., Kevin M., Loudon Noxious, the D-town crew, etc. The people from Galacticon are some of the nicest people in the Galaxy and I look forward to seeing all of you each year.
17. Eric getting in the wrong car on the way home. "Whoops, wrong car." Still laughing about that one.
18. Complaining about the new set and how it is going to effect my fed very shortly. I can't wait to play out 2124!
Sorry, I only have 18 listed, but really there is too many to count. I, also, wanted to take a second and thank Eliath, Dave, TM, Jim Steele and anyone else that helped me out. This was an amazing event and I think each year it'll continue getting better. You guys are amazing people who I really enjoy seeing once a year. Thanks for another great weekend and another great year!

Ok here's my 20: (also in no particular order)
20) Getting to Tom's at 6:15pm to help him set up, thinking we were gonna be the 1st ones there and realizing 10 other people beat us to the punch!
19) Playing Daimyo ball as Tom watched from the deck. Next year Tom said he wants in to play with us....can't wait.
18) The lack of crowd reaction to the revealing of Iron Hand's identity. I think it was a combination of Tom superimposing Drury's face onto the Iron Hand card and nobody could believe that Drury was I.H.
17) Alex and Neal's surprise appearance! Those two guys are like brothers from different mothers to the D-town crew!
16) Tom adding a new G-con quote: "I laugh because I'm polite." Then laughing at this line when someone else would say it.
15) Getting the 2nd ever Dana Filsinger art in the auction. Tom may not need to look outside the family for a game artist in the future!
14) J-Mello's super kick ass job of running all the tournaments.
13) Having Overmaster twice in the tournaments and losing in the 1st round each time. (1 was to Endgame so no shame in that)
12) Biscuits and Gravy at Bob Evans. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
11) Seeing the 2 youngest attendees - Ryan N. and Jarron "Fire" M. playing in the tourneys! Nice to see the next generation of COTG gamers have 2 strong players!
10) Smoke falling asleep on the couch and not caring at all and actually leading the laughing when we busted his balls about it. Smoke is awesome!
9) Winning the aCe tourney and being one of the Final 3 in the Trivia Rumble.
8) Chuck's iPHONE idea for COTG. I REALLY hope this becomes reality someday.
7) Watching the UFC card and seeing Henderson KO Bisping and Brock Lesnar DESTROY Frank Mir! Props to Eliath and J-Mello for letting all of us join them to watch it.
6) Getting creamed in the Canada Cup. I had Executioner, what do you expect?
5) Seeing one of the best GCON matches ever when Swarm took on Jim Steel in the finals of the GalactiCup tourney! Swarm (as Monolith) rolling an "11" on 3 consecutive End of All Things and everyone going, "Ohhhhhhhhhh!" Super intense!
4) Meeting Chuck and seeing his new alien character appear before our eyes in about 20 minutes and his amazing drawing of PRIDE!
3) My best buddy in the galaxy Rob win Trivia, Canada Cup, and GalactiCup! What a year for the D-town crew!
2) The drive home and the conversations we always have about GCON. The drive is half the fun!
1) Seeing Tom, Leslie, Alex, Neal, the Filsinger girls, Osk, Jeff G., Smoke, Chewey (finally!), Mike and Kevin M., J-Mello, Mark, and everyone else at GCON.
What a great gathering of the best game fans anywhere! It's always great to see everyone and especially to hang out with Tom and and talk with him about the game and and pretty much anything else! GCON is the Woodstock of the COTGverse! Can't wait to see you all there next year!

It is my favorite convention to attend, bar none. It has the energy and variety of a large convention, and at the same time, it has the relaxing feel of spending an afternoon with your friends on a summer afternoon. Best of both worlds!

In no order....
Troy and IB (and the people behind them) graciously letting me cut in front of them to get a drawing by Chuck Carter because I had to leave. I REALLY do TRULEY appreciate that kind gesture.
Meeting Louden Noxious and seeing his just amazingly impressive COTG collection. Man, I thought I had a decent collection. That table may have been the most impressive thing I've scene and I spent a lot of time there. SImply Amazing. Louden's a hilarious guy and I can't wait to see him at Comic-Con.
Meeting Nitro face to face.
Nitro's Sunday Morning comment "Has Bananas In Pajamas Come Down Stairs?" I about wet myself. The funniest thing I heard all con.
Catching TNA with Tom, Kris & Jeff. Then going to a bar. And another bar. And then a bar with some people actually there! The TNA show was horrible. The company was awesome.
Meeting Monolith.
Getting challenges left and right for my Benjamin Paige card. So much fun playing the game with actual people.
The two Who's Galaxy Is It Anyway? sketches I was in!
Being an annoying houseguest and showing up at 5PM Friday at Tom's and then just sitting around doing nothing.
Getting a Lil' Champions Plethador drawing (or three) from Werner.
Watching my first UFC Championship, Mystery Science Theater 3000 style and playing "1 through 10" with Werner, Chuck, Tom, Kris and Nitro.
Getting my J. Melz CD signed by Jmello.
Tweeting the entire con to try and let those who weren't there experience the Con and Tom ordering me to Tweet certain messages to the fans.
The unmasking of Iron Hand *crickets crickets* (Then when we read the handbook we went, "Ooooooooh.")
Returning to Jim at the beginning of every tournament to ask for a card. And dice. And charts. Jim you're awesome.
Threatening to order as "The Collector" (Ed Wynn) at McDonald's with the Melesky's.
Meeting Chuck Carter. Great guy, awesome artist.
Thos amazing BBQ pulled pork sammiches. Yum. I had two. You heard me right, two!
Kevin W. graciously giving me three promoters I needed for my collection.
Kevin Butcher giving me a Colored Thantos card for my collection.
Entering the Trivia Battle royal and the only question I get right was the softball intended for Nitro.
Recording more voices for COTG Online! Mark is a pleasure to work with in the booth and he does a lot more for this project than just hitting record.
Chatting with Kris at TNA and UFC and all the time. Great guy and so passionate about everything Filsinger Games.
and Todd....thank you for making it all run so smoothly!
That's about all I can think of right now. I'm sure I've forgotten several people/things, but it's not out of rudeness. It's due to just TOO MUCH good stuff!
I'm making plans now for 2010!

I'll let someone explain it but it's much easier to watch than to explain.
