I know it's a little early, but we were doing some research into general prices if we got up there for next year's Galacticon. Is Galacticon genrally in the same place every year with the same hotels nearby? Is there a bus station nearby (in case driving becomes out of the question)?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Neil. Although we just looked at prices for busses, and driving may be better.

Driving is probably the best unless you can hook up with another promoter. (I did that by goign with Kevin Wible from Pittsburgh) You can also fly, but that's probably too expensive. Book your hotel early. They will fill up.

How early?
Other than Zerocool, I don't know any promoters that may live anywhere near Florida so it'd probably just be us.

I book Hotel rooms in January for Galacticon
You could always cancel the room if you don't go without a cost but if you go your all set
So if there is a chance you will be there book early

If you book it far enough in advance and live in one of the cities it services, you could potentially take the megabus to Buffalo for a dollar. www.megabus.com/us/

I can tell you though that Jamestown is my hometown and I frequent often to see family, and hotels are rarely always booked. you usually can get one in the vicinity though the megabus is a great deal.

Yeah, we just picked a bad weekend for Galacticon this year. Next year we'll keep an eye out for other events and plan around that so folks have an easier time getting hotel rooms.

I'd love to attend a Galacticon, but being up in Nova Scotia Canada its an expensive trip to try and make. Driving is easiest, but also the most time consuming. flying is quick yet expensive. grrr
