Anyone else running an MMA only league? My setup:

I'm starting up the OFL (Outlaw Fighting League) in 2122 and sanctioning 3 titles, some notes:

OFL Galaxian
OFL Light Heavyweight
OFL Cruiserweight


-I don't like the term Superheavyweight, so I just shifted the weight classes over and created a Light Heavyweight division.

-anyone can fight up in weight class (i.e. Euritar can compete for any of the 3 titles, but obviously Gordo can't fight for the Cruiserweight strap)

-my first 3 cards will be held every other month in March, May and July of 2122. I'm spacing them out because each will have a tournament for one of the vacant titles, and I want to give the guys fighting on the undercards or who are competing up in class to have time to rest and not be penalized. After that I will run a card a month until 2123, when I will run 2 a month.

-I'm penalizing after a 50 pound difference instead of 40.

-I'm going to figure out a way to keep track of rounds and I will have judges decisions (in order to set up potential re-matches and spice up feuds)

-I'm going to have some out of the ring stuff but I see this as sort of a combination of UFC and ROH so it will mostly be kept in the ring.

I am thinking about using a timer and keep real time and maybe do 3-5 three minute rounds.

I thought maybe to keep track of sucessful offensive moves (takedowns and such) on a score sheet and maybe make a separate chart for scoring by 3 judges. I will post whatever I come up with as well.
