So, I've been using some LOTF guys in my LWF fed to promote the new indy-ish fed I'll be ramping up in a couple of months. One tag-team that's been jumping all over my rankings has been The Heartbreak Express (Fabulous Phil & Superstar Sean Davis). As luck would have it, the dice love and hate these guys. One month they'll barely be hanging on to their spot on the roster. Samu & Alofa, another LOTF tag team, has already been eliminated from the roster (better luck in the LOTF guys!). But some months, The Heartbreak Express has done surprisingly well. Even making it up to the #1 Contender spot once or twice. Which is where we were for last night's PPV. And the Heartbreak Express beat the Fantastics (Cory & Tim's bootlegs) for the LWF World Tag Team Championship, joining the ranks of Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff, The Valiants and other great LOW tag-teams. Go figure. It's hard to imagine they'll hold the belts long. But, man, what a ride.

That's amazing as The Heartbreak Express cannot buy a win in my fed!

Heartbreak Express have done pretty well for me. Held the developmental tag gold for a good run and always making life miserable for the Naptown Dragons.

The Heartbreak Express had a surprisingly good feud with DiBiase and Williams in the Fed Mike M and I did. Was suppossed to be a one time squash, but the dice decided otherwise.

Those darn dice, they can drive you crazy sometimes. Then again, it can lead to suprisingly fun and exciting rivalries.

As a team they get squashed in my feds, but as singles they hold there own! Kinda nuts huh?

The Heart Break Express in my TRW Mid-South defeated Cowboy Bob Orton and Frank Gotch for my Mid-South Tag Team Belts but to lose them on thier first title defense against the same team they won them from, it was a suprise to see them win the belts even if it was a short reign.

The Heartbreak Express just own my Underground promotion. They won the initial gauntlet for the Underground Tag Team Titles and then proceeded to run with the belts for 6 months. They successfully defended against the Samoan Island Tribe, Naptown Dragons, Backseat Boyz and two defenses against Mike Quackenbush and Delirious.
Eventually they lost the belts to the Kings of Wrestling. But since then have been on a pair and have been the only team to actually get a win over the Young Bucks. During their post championship run they've got wins over the Young Bucks, Naptown Dragons, the Samoan Island Tribe and the Backseat Boyz.
I think maybe in the past year with a weekly show they've suffered maybe 4 or 5 defeats and maybe 2 of those matches were a clean loss to another team.
In Underground Championship Wrestling they are the elite of the division.

It's amazing the amount of variation between how the Heartbreak Express are doing in different feds.
Looking at the cards, I'd have to say Sean and Phil Davis are okay. Definitely not great.
But man, those dice do throw a wrench in the works. Don't they?
We'll be seeing soon if the Heartbreak Express can retain in a rematch against the Fantastics. Not to mention their list of contenders reads like a who's who of some all time greats: The Valiants, Black Gordman & Great Goliath, The High Flyers, Skull Murphy & Killer Kowalski, Jimmy Snuka & Andre the Giant and the latest entrants into the tag team race, Diamond Dallas Page & Precious Paul Ellering.
If Phil & Sean can hold the title against that list, well, they deserve it. That's for sure.
