Does anyone else think that Rush may be the son of THUNDER. Height and weight, not too bad and he uses the Tempest. Regardless I see great things down the road for this Aethran.

Nice thought, but seeing how Rush has been around since 2119-2120, I think if he were Thunder's son we would have found out by now. I am surprised, though, there hasn't been any representation of an Aethran bloodline at this point in time. I guess Tom has that in his back pocket for a storyline in the future.

Rush and Thunder could always be cousins or brothers as well.

Actually Purple Steve, Rush is a rookie, I think you are referring to Rage. I agree that Rush could be the son of Thunder, but don't really think he will be. Would be awesome though

Rush is a rookie--technically. A special edition card was released in 2005. It was drawn by the creator Neal Nelson who I believe is a friend of one of Tom's sons. The character has been around a few years. If you view his card on COTG Online, you will see that Neal Nelson is credited as being the creator, not Tom.

I don't believe Rush was created with the idea in mind that he's related to Thunder. The finisher is probably just his homage to a legendary Gladiator and not meant to indicate a relation. Most Gladiators have used the Gladiator Piledriver and Decapitator, so there is a history established of newer Gladiators using the signature moves of those who have come before.

Malice using Spike's moves, to give another example.
