Just a suggestion Mark, and see if you agree. I see that, on your modified finisher, it takes into account the opponent's power rating.
JMO, it would seem like an opponent's agility rating would be more appropriate.
I may be off on the thinking, but would like to here what you'd say. Thanks.
And please, that drawing is good (the original). Well, most of your stuff is...w/Street being the best.

Double A,
The idea of the mechanics of the BANZAI DROP finisher is that a more powerful or bigger guy like Hacksaw or Bundy would have a better chance of not getting flattened and being strong enough to push Yoko off of his chest than a guy like Koko who would get squashed. If it were a "hit/miss" finisher like Rotunda's in the GWF, then agility would be the better factor to use. The power rating here just effects the potency of the move.

The choice move on level 3 offense has been changed from ch F to ch D after it was pointed out by Nightmare-X that D would be more correct. When I did most of these cards I honestly didn't even use the choice moves so I never bothered to pay attention to whether I had them slotted right or not. Yes, after over 20 years of playing this game I've only started regularly using the choice moves within the past year! I guess I just wasn't playing right for all of these years!

YOKOZUNA YOKOZUNA | 6'4"; 589 lbs; Samoa | Level 1 Offense | Level 1 Defense | 1. shove - 1 2. chop - 1 3. overhand smash - 2 (ag) 4. body slam - 2 5. bear hug - 2 (pw) 6. head butt - 2 (ch B) | 1. dazed - 1 (tag) 2. YOKOZUNA - 1 3. YOKOZUNA - 2 4. YOKOZUNA - 2 5. YOKOZUNA - 1 6. hurt - 2 | Level 2 Offense | Level 2 Defense | 1. neck twister - 2 2. throat chop -2 3. trapezes grip - 2 4. into the ropes (c) 5. Samoan Drop - 3 6. belly to belly suplex - 3 | 1. YOKOZUNA - 1 2. hurt - 2 (tag) 3. hurt - 2 4. YOKOZUNA - 2 5. down - 3 6. YOKOZUNA - 1 | Level 3 Offense | Level 3 Defense | 1. standing side kick - 3 (ch D) 2. out of the ring (c) 3. out of the ring 4. crushing leg drop - 3 5. running turnbuckle splash - 3 6. BANZAI DROP (+5) - opp. pw | 1. PIN 6 (3) 2. down - 3 3. hurt - 2 4. hurt - 2 5. hurt - 2 6. down - 3 (lv) | Ropes - C Turnbuckle - C Ring - B Deathjump - B Disqualification - 5 | Agility +3 Power -4 Cage 3 |
*NOTE: opp. power must be -3 or greater to throw Yoko into ropes or turnbuckle. Otherwise, Yoko takes over on lv. 2 offense. BANZAI DROP is a +5 finisher, minus opponents pw rating. For example, the move would be (+2) versus a wrestler with -3 power, +1 for a wrestler with -4 pw, ect.
I originally did this card some time ago and had it as part of my website. However, I really disliked the drawing I did and the other night I decided to sketch out a new one. I'm going to fix the scan and modify it though, since it came out kind of light and washed out (or at least it looks that way on my monitor). I also tweaked the stats a little to make the finisher work a little differently. He does not follow the "official character creation guidlines" in that there is no way for him to use a deathjump. I think you can see why, for the sake of realism, I opted not to follow that "rule".

I just reposted this because I somehow managed to delete both this one and the Bobby Duncum Sr. I did some time ago when I went in and tried to replace the drawings I had with clearer scans. Fortunately I'd posted Yokozuna elsewhere, but Duncum Sr. stats may be lost because I didn't save a copy anywhere online or on my computer, though.
