I had my 2088 Young Lion's Cup Trophy last night. Splatter made it through the round robin portion of the tournament undefeated at 4-0. He easily won his tournament block and looked pretty unstoppable in the process. I thought he was going to sail through and win the whole thing.
The semi-finals come around and he's matched up against Adam Blast. On paper Splatter should probably get the win. The match starts off, Splatter misses a charge into the turnbuckle and Adam Blast rolls him up and snake eyes and Splatter is pinned, the crowd erupts and the unlikely Adam Blast is in the final.
I just love how the dice give you those great memorable moments. A lot of times I couldn't even book something that good on my own.

Yeah, those are great, but many's the time the dice have really messed up my plans, too!

That's exactly why I love this game, too!
Anyone can win, anything can happen!

I like the excitement of not knowing. It's great getting to play the game, but feel like a spectator at a match.

I like the excitement of not knowing. It's great getting to play the game, but feel like a spectator at a match. This is how I feel too. You set the stage but the dice take on the role of a mystery writer and you never quite know what turns are going to take place (but you know there are going to be turns)! jolt

The Betrayer recently benefitted from friendly dice; he managed to beat Endgame to advance in a tournament, creating an interesting match-up between (Betrayer) and Encubus, but ruining the much hyped Endgame (current GWF Intergalactic Champion) versus Encubus (current GWF Universal Champion).
What makes stuff like this so cool is that Betrsyer went from a virtual unknonw to an important figure in my fed, and his win over Endgame is serving as a great storyline to put him in line for an I-G title shot.

Payback got a push in my fed for a little while by being the first guy to beat Monolith mainly because he did so handily. Nobody had even contested the guy up to that point, and Payback wiped the mat with him. But Payback's pretty erratic, so he didn't do much with the push I gave him as a result.
