Card 7; Las Vegas, NV:
1.) Mistico vs. Konnan [Rey de Reyes qualifying] 2.) Chuck Taylor vs. Mike Quackenbush, Eddie Kingston, Brent Albright [last chance, Rey de Reyes qualifying] 3.) Alexis Laree, Tyler Black vs. Sara Del Rey, Jimmy Jacobs [LLUSA MIXED TAG] 4.) Claudio Castagnoli vs. Electroshock [Rey de Reyes qualifying] 5.) Abismo Negro, Sabu, Cibernetico vs. El Mesias, Chessman, Necro Butcher 6.) KENTA, Naomichi Marufuji vs. Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson 7.) Blue Demon, Shingo Takagi, CIMA vs. Dr. Wagner Jr, Jushin Liger, Mil Mascaras
[/font] I'm still trying to wrap my mind around Mil losing his mask. I can't imagine what the reaction to this would be in Mexico. Shocking. The only thing worse would be Blue Demon losing his mask. Oh wait, look at that lineup for the next show! It could happen. Was contemplating just making it a career match, suppose it's too late now. Eh, you live and learn.

Card 7; Las Vegas, NV:
1.) Mistico DCO Konnan. [Rey de Reyes qualifying] - So by the rules of the qualifiers, both guys are in due to a double count-out. Pretty short match, they didn't really have much time before the finish. Mistico did manage to lock in a LA MISTICA, but Konnan escaped it with ease.
Konnan attacked Mistico post-match, laying him out and locking in the TEQUILA SUNRISE.
LLUSA Commissioner Ted DiBiase is in his office. He announces that the winner of the Rey de Reyes tournament will get a Mega Heavyweight title shot at Guerra de Titanes (Card #15) in a stipulation match of their choice.
2.) Chuck Taylor L Mike Quackenbush, Eddie Kingston, Brent Albright when Taylor submitted to a CROWBAR from Albright. [last chance, Rey de Reyes qualifying] - So as announced before the match, the survivors of this would be entered into Rey de Reyes. Chuck Taylor was pretty much the favorite to lose the match, and lose he did. Quack spent a good part of the match trying to keep Taylor out of harm's way, often times putting himself right in the crossfire from Kingston and Albright. A really long match here, as well.
We're taken to the back, where Claudio Castagnoli wishes Alexis Laree good luck in her Mixed Tag Title defense later tonight. Tyler Black approaches Claudio and tells him that he knows what Claudio's doing, and Alexis won't fall for it. The two are face to face as Alexis reminds Tyler that they have a match up next, and the Mixed Tag Champions head to the ring.
3.) Sara Del Rey, Jimmy Jacobs b. Alexis Laree, Tyler Black when Jacobs used the END TIME on Laree. [LLUSA MIXED TAG] - Alexis basically had to fight this one on her own, as Black wouldn't tag in, and actually just left the ringside area pretty early in the match. As you can imagine, she didn't last long before Jacobs put her out with the END TIME to give us the first title change in LLUSA.
Electroshock is standing backstage with Abismo Negro and Sabu. Electroshock says that tonight he gains entrance into Rey de Reyes, and that Abismo and Sabu will make quick work of their opponents and ultimately win the Tag Titles.
4.) Claudio Castagnoli NC Electroshock [Rey de Reyes qualifying] - Bout was ruled a No Contest when Tyler Black made a run-in and attacked both guys. The match had barely started, and Claudio was on the offensive when Black ran in and hit him with the God's Last Gift. He did the same to Electroshock, and left the ring.
5.) El Mesias, Chessman, Necro Butcher b. Abismo Negro, Sabu, Cibernetico when Mesias used the STRAIGHT TO HELL on Sabu. - Score one for the Tag Champs (and Necro). Mesias and Abismo were the captains of each team, not that it mattered here because it wasn't Captain Fall rules. Abismo planted Chessman with a MARTINETE, but Chessman kicked out. Sabu came in, and continued to beat on Chessman until Mesias came in, and almost instantaneously dropped Sabu with the STRAIGHT TO HELL to score the win.
Tyler Black is shown leaving the arena when he's approached by Alexis Laree. She asks him what his problem is, and Black says that she didn't take their partnership seriously, and they lost the belts as a direct result of her behavior. She says none of what Black said makes sense, and he just leaves the arena. Real stand up guy, that Tyler Black.
6.) KENTA, Naomichi Marufuji b. Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson when KENTA used the GO 2 SLEEP on Matt Jackson. - Very fast match, in both pace and length. KENTA dominated both of the Young Bucks, quickly dropping Matt with the GO 2 SLEEP. If this is any indication of how the Atomicos championship match will go, then we're in for a pretty short night.
7.) Dr. Wagner Jr, Jushin Liger, Mil Mascaras b. Blue Demon, Shingo Takagi, CIMA when Wagner used the WAGNER DRIVER on CIMA. - And if THIS is any indication of how the Atomicos championship match will go, we're in for a pretty incredible bout. Demon and Mascaras didn't really have any interaction here except at the beginning where Demon quickly tagged out to Shingo. The announcers reasoned that this was to conserve his energy for Rey de Reyes. Apparently Mascaras didn't get the memo, as he took the fight right to Shingo and CIMA. Takagi hit the LOST FALCONRY on Mascaras, sending him to the outside, and following a dive by CIMA, Takagi was put in the WAGNER LOCK, but CIMA made the save. This proved to be not the brightest move, because CIMA soon after fell victim to the WAGNER DRIVER, giving the tecnios the win.
The tecnicos celebrated to end the show.
I'll be first to admit this wasn't exactly the greatest 'go home' show ever, but it could have been worse.
Current Lineup for Card #8; "Rey de Reyes", Los Angeles, CA: 1.) Dragon Kid vs. Ultramantis Black, Tyler Black, Susumu Yokusuka [Rey de Reyes, semifinal] 2.) Tiger Mask vs. Necro Butcher, Delirious, Hayabusa [Rey de Reyes, semifinal] 3.) Claudio Castagnoli vs. Konnan, Cibernetico, Eddie Kingston [Rey de Reyes, semifinal] 4.) Mistico vs. Mike Quackenbush, Brent Albright, Electroshock [Rey de Reyes, semifinal] 5.) Abismo Negro, Sabu vs. Chessman, El Mesias [LLUSA TAG] 6.) Shingo Takagi, KENTA, Naomichi Marufuji, CIMA vs. Jushin Liger, Dr. Wagner Jr, Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson [NAT. ATOMICOS] 7.) ? vs. ?, ?, ? [Rey de Reyes FINAL] 8.) Mil Mascaras vs. Blue Demon [career, mask]

For what it's worth, I haven't had much time to comment on many feds lately- but I really wanted to comment on this one!
IMO this is an awesome fed written by an author with an obviously passionate and excellent/skilled knowledge of lucha libre!
I'm looking forward to the LA card where I want my favorite tag team the Young Bucks with Jushin Liger as part of their 8 man tag match to win and I also hope Mascaras wins the main event over Blue Demon!

Thanks for the kind words, Vegas. It actually means a lot that you commented on my fed. And now, without further ado, Rey de Reyes. Card #8; "Rey de Reyes", Los Angeles, CA:
The show opens with a hype video with each of the sixteen Rey de Reyes participants saying that they're going to win the tournament. We're then taken to the commentators, who explain the rules of Rey de Reyes: - Each semifinal match is a four-man elimination match. - Elimination can occur only by pinfall, submission, count out, or disqualification. - The winners of each match will advance to the finals, with the winner getting a title shot at Guerra de Titanes!
1.) Tyler Black b. Dragon Kid Ultramantis Black, Susumu Yokosuka [Rey de Reyes, semifinal] - Black wasn't accompanied by Alexis Laree tonight, but that was to be expected. Dragon Kid was first to go via PRAYING MANTIS BOMB. UMB was eliminated shortly thereafter when Yokusuka used the Yokosuka Cutter. Black and Yokosuka battled for several minutes thereafter, with Black emerging victorious after the God's Last Gift was given to Yokosuka.
2.) Tiger Mask b. Hayabusa, Necro Butcher, Delirious [Rey de Reyes, semifinal] - A relatively quick match. Necro eliminated Hayabusa with the TIGER DRIVER very quickly, and then was eliminated by Delirious via the Shadows Over Hell. Tiger Mask then entered and commenced bringing the pain, beating Delirious with the TIGER SUPLEX to advance to the finals.
3.) Claudio Castagnoli b. Konnan, Cibernetico, Eddie Kingston [Rey de Reyes, semifinal] - Well, it looks like we get a showdown between Black and Castagnoli in the finals of Rey de Reyes. Konnan eliminated Kingston first with the TEQUILA SUNRISE. Cibernetico was next to go following a RICOLA BOMB from Claudio. Konnan was eliminated almost immediately after via a RICOLA BOMB. To put it mildly, Claudio dominated this match once he got in the ring.
4.) Brent Albright b. Mike Quackenbush, Mistico, Electroshock [Rey de Reyes, semifinal] - Mistico surprisingly went first when Albright made him submit to the CROWBAR. Electroshock was disqualified for using his taser on Quackenbush, which left the two rudos to duke it out. Albright and Electroshock battled all over the ringside area, both nearly being counted out. Albright finally won via the half-nelson suplex.
Abismo Negro and Sabu cut a team promo, saying that Chessman and Mesias are going to lose the Tag Titles tonight. Abismo starts up the flamethrower, and we go back to the arena.
5.) Chessman, El Mesias b. Abismo Negro, Sabu when Chessman used the RUNNING SPEAR on Abismo. [LLUSA TAG] - Well, it looks like Abismo was wrong...again. Chessman and Mesias made quick work of their challengers, like they pretty much have of everyone they've faced. Sabu was only in the ring long enough to get hit with (and kick out of) the STRAIGHT TO HELL from Mesias. Really short match.
Shingo cuts a promo for his team, saying that tonight, the tecnicos would lose the Atomicos championship, and that he is going to send Liger back to Japan.
6.) Shingo Takagi, KENTA, Naomichi Marufuji, CIMA b. Jushin Liger, Dr. Wagner Jr, Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson when Shingo used the LOST FALCONRY on Wagner. [NAT. ATOMICOS] - Really good back-and-forth match. The Young Bucks took it right to KENTAFuji from the second the bell started, hitting KENTA with the MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK right away, but that pin attempt was broken up. Wagner hit CIMA with a WAGNER DRIVER for two, and Shingo entered the ring and took on Wagner, ultimately winning with the LOST FALCONRY.
Alexis Laree attempts to wish Tyler Black good luck in the finals of Rey de Reyes, and he tells her simply to save her breath, he doesn't need her support.
7.) Brent Albright b. Tiger Mask, Tyler Black, Claudio Castagnoli [Rey de Reyes, final] - Black and Claudio were both counted out early on, and brawled to the back. This left us with a very good one-on-one match with Albright and Tiger Mask. Tiger Mask hit a TIGER SUPLEX, but Alright managed to get his foot on the rope, and take over from there, beating Tiger Mask with the CROWBAR to win Rey de Reyes, and subsequently, a Mega Heavyweight Championship Match.
The announcers hype the upcoming career vs. mask match between Mascaras and Blue Demon. They show clips from Lucha Mania, and the two following cards. The crowd is 100% behind Mascaras as we go into the main event.
8.) Mil Mascaras b. Blue Demon with the FLYING BODYPRESS. [career, mask] - A very short main event, almost depressingly so. Mascaras took offense very early on and didn't let up on his former tag partner, beating him quickly with a FLYING BODYPRESS.
As per the stipulations of the match, Demon had to unmask, and he did. As with Mascaras at Lucha Mania, we never caught a glimpse of his face as the show went off the air, but Mascaras did parade around the ring, holding the mask up as the fans cheered their hero.

Card 9; Las Vegas, NV:
The show opens with a video recapping the Rey de Reyes tournament, won by Brent Albright. The announcers put over that he will challenge Dr. Wagner for the title at Guerra de Titanes in his choice of match.
1.) Eddie Kingston b. Konnan with a Backfist to the Future. [hardcore] - They didn't really make use of any weaponry, just brawled around the ringside area. Kingston hit a LARIAT, Konnan kicked out, ate the backfist. End of story.
Tyler Black and Alexis Laree are shown in their locker room. Black apologizes for what's transpired between the two lately, Laree accepts the apology, and they get ready for their match...next!
2.) Jimmy Jacobs, Sara Del Rey b. Tyler Black, Alexis Laree when Del Rey used the ROYAL BUTTERFLY LOCK on Laree. - This is the first time between these two pairs that the match has been largely tecnico offense when the women were in the ring, and rudo domination with the men. Jacobs nearly made Black submit to the END TIME, but Black managed to escape. Del Rey came in, prompting Laree to enter for whatever reason, and shortly thereafter, Del Rey won the match.
After the match, Black stood over Laree with a frustrated look on his face, so as if to say, "I tried to make things right, and this is what I get?" He picked Laree up, and set her up for the God's Last Gift, but Claudio Castagnoli made the save, running off Black. Claudio challenged Black to a one-on-one match, but Black simply walked through the curtain. Chris Hero made his way to the ring, and we went to commercial.
3.) Claudio Castagnoli, Chris Hero b. Mike Quackenbush, Chuck Taylor when Hero used the HERO'S WELCOME on Taylor. -- Very short match, Taylor didn't stand a chance in the ring with Hero and Claudio. Quackenbush didn't spend any time in the ring, and his pin save attempts were both blocked by his opponents.
4.) Chessman, El Mesias b. Cibernetico, Abismo Negro when Mesias used the STRAIGHT TO HELL on Cibernetico. [LLUSA TAG] -- Of all partners Abismo could have picked, Cibernetico seemed like the winner. Irony of ironies, he was the loser of the match. Abismo dominated Chessman and Mesias, but when Cibernetico came in, it was more of the same, and it slowly went downhill from there. Mesias ended up putting Cibernetico down with the STRAIGHT TO HELL to give the champs their third title defense.
5.) Electroshock, Delirious, Shingo Takagi, CIMA b. Jushin Liger, Mistico, Dragon Kid, Tiger Mask when CIMA used the MAD SPLASH on Dragon Kid. -- A very, very long match. (I started at around 3:30, the match ended at 4:04) Both teams got in a lot of offense, and it looked as though it could go either way. Electroshock tased Liger in this match, but it went undetected by the referee. Takagi hit the LOST FALCONRY on Mistico, but Mistico kicked out almost right away. CIMA hit a MAD SPLASH on Dragon Kid to score the victory for the rudos.
After the match, LLUSA Commissioner Ted DiBiase made his way to the ring to make an announcement regarding Guerra de Titanes, but Konnan interrupted the interview, saying that DiBiase was nothing but an old man who didn't deserve to be in power in a Lucha Libre promotion. DiBiase tells Konnan to leave ringside immediately. Konnan tells DiBiase to make him. By this point, the two are face-to-face. DiBiase said Konnan has no right to question his authority, and Konnan tells DiBiase to do something about it. DiBiase takes his jacket off, but is knocked down by Electroshock, Takagi, KENTA, Marufuji, and CIMA. Konnan slaps DiBiase, who is being held by the other guys. Konnan says that LLUSA is his, not DiBiase's. Konnan makes the comment that if anyone in LLUSA wants to come out and defend the commissioner, they should come out and do it now. Dr. Wagner and The Young Bucks ran in, leading to...
6.) Dr. Wagner Jr, Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson b. Brent Albright, KENTA, Naomichi Marufuji when Wagner used the WAGNER DRIVER on Marufuji. -- The tecnicos made VERY short work of the rudos right here. Like, not even two minutes of wrestling and Marufuji was finished.
Wagner and friends celebrated until Albright hit Wagner with a half-nelson suplex, and KENTAFuji brawled with The Young Bucks. Albright says that he's going to destroy Wagner at Guerra de Titanes, but did not mention the stipulation. This ended the show.
Current Lineup for Card #15; "Guerra de Titanes"; Los Angeles, CA: 1.) Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. Brent Albright [stipulation tba, LLUSA HEAVY]
