The GWF Champion in my fed was just inured for 5 cards. This period of time includes a PPV.
I've read that a few people take injured wrestlers and dump them at the bottom of their rankings list. What would you do if the injured wrestler currently holds the most important belt in your fed?

Couple scenarios you could do here...
1. Strip the champ of the title and determine a new champ at the PPV (top 2 contenders match, Triple Threat, battle royal, tournament, etc.)
2. Have the injured champ defend the title at the PPV. If he wins, he gains major respect from the fans and becomes an even bigger star. If he loses, he has an excuse for losing and gains sympathy from the fans, therefore, he still looks good. It's a win win. I guess this depends on the injury he sustained though.

You could also go the UFC route and have the top two contenders fight for an Interim Championship and when your current champion comes back have him battle the Interim Champion to have an Undisputed Champion.

I kind of just had (about 15 minutes ago) something similar happen, my TV champ (Sabu) was just suspended 11 cards and will miss 2 PPV's (King of the Ring and Great American Bash)
I think the winner of the King of the Ring may become the new TV champ
