I am in a bad batch now. Lost my teaching position due to budget cuts. Feeling rather sad and desolate. However, when I get those dice and cards out--- COTG always lifts me. How has it done this for all of you? It's MORE than a game to me. Your input, kids?

well, it always keeps me busy. In an unofficial way. Always finding characters to draw, do stats for, printing, set up. No other hobby I've ever had fills up my free time like this game has. Sometimes it's both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because I'm never bored, a curse because I should probably be doing other more important things that always get put on the side to do this. haha. But at least I'm not getting into trouble. As they say, "Idle Hands Are The Devil's Playground!"

COTG is the longest running game I've constantly played (11 years I believe). If not playing it, I am always thinking of how to lay out my next card, think of feuds and other stuff. I chat on IM with others about the game. I own all my stuff, there's no giving it back or subscriptions, so I can always have it and not pay a thing until I get the next edition. I went thru a messy divorce early on in 2002 and I didn't have much after that, but I had COTG. It was an avenue to let out my feelings and to just let go of reality and submerse myself into fantasy. It does so many wonderful things, thank Vallah for COTG

No matter what in life, the Filsinger Game has been a source of entertainment and joy and it's been that way for me since 1988 and so when I feel a need to roll the dice to get out of a funk it helps for sure...
