Anybody use any modified POW/ MMA rules?
I: 1) Separate KO and SUB, so when a guy is struck hard and could be KOed, his KO only goes up. If he is put in an armlock, only his SUB raises.
2). Champs must roll KO/ SUB twice to lose their belts. Only roll this does not impact is a roll of snake eyes.
3). I use Curt Ligot's cut chart, modified by me to include damage for moderate and major injuries. These injuries impact the fight
4) I have made a few trainer cards, which will impact a fighter's performance in a match, mostly positively, but occasionally negatiively. I have not used them yet in the POFC.
Any one else?

I use sort of a modified champion's advantage rule.
If a champion fails a KO/SUB roll, he/she may re-roll that particular roll. But, the champion may only do this once per fight.
I figure it's sort of like the champion's experience with big fights and extra determination can save them from what could be a flash KO or silly mistake, but if they are just getting battered, nothing in the world is going to save them.
I also use the seperate KO and SUB accumulations. It just doesnt make sense that a guy who's been rolling out of arm bars all match could get hit with one strike and possibly go down.

I changed up the injury rules a bit. When you roll a TKO (automatic injury) roll one die:
1-3 = 1 card injury 4-5 = 2 card injury 6 = 3 card injury
Then you add any increases to whichever rating was being used when the TKO came up.
So if Shylock's KO rating has gone up by 1 and his SUB rating has gone up by 2, and he winds up losing by ref stoppage in an arm bar (SUB roll), roll the die, consult the chart above, and add two. So, if you rolled a 4, it would become a four-card injury.
It's a lot more complex in the explanation than in the execution.
I'm a big fan of Turkish's trainer cards, and I've made a couple of my own, as well. I can't wait to see what he and Mark come up with for the next set. How much longer, guys?

November, I'd suppose. As far as I know, the current schedule of releases hasn't changed.
Nice rule tweaks, by the way.

Here's a very vague one that you probably could've guessed anyway:
Saboteur's not done messing with Shylock.

Well...
I've suggested in other forums that the Saboteur currently competing isn't the *real* Saboteur, and that the real Saboteur is off somewhere training in dim mak or something. Then again, if he's capable of jumping from body to body, who knows if we'll ever see the real, physical Saboteur again, or whose body he might jump into next--maybe Splatter's
For that matter--how can we even be sure he's REALLY out of Rhiannon's body? If there was one friendly consciousness in there, there could have been two. Anybody could be anyone.

But now I've gone and derailed this nice thread.
By way of apology I'll stop pestering Mark, and will post one of the Trainer cards I use in OMEGA.
Brainstorm, OMEGA Trainer
As a trainer, Brainstorm brings his encyclopedic knowledge of human anatomy, martial arts tradition, and 1980's pop culture to the table, helping his fighters hone their attacks. He's not above encouraging his trainees to take a cheap shot or two if it helps them win their fights.
Choose one of the following options and roll two dice to determine the outcome.
OPTION 1: "If a man can't see..." Brainstorm has shown you how vulnerable a fighter's eyes can be. You've been training extra hard to target an opponent's face with punches and kicks, and Brainstorm has also shown you how to lead with your thumb, subtly gouging the eye when the referee isn't watching closely. Add 1 to your Striking Offense Rating. Works on rolls of 2-7. If you roll a 12, you have injured your hand in training. Increase your SUB rating by 1.
OPTION 2: "If a man can't breathe..." Brainstorm has trained you to put the squeeze on an opponent when you have him tied up. He's also shown you how to screen the referee's vision with your own body, so you can throw a quick jab to the throat when you have the opponent in a clinch. Add 1 to your Clinch Offense Rating. Works on rolls of 2-7. If you roll a 12, you have overtrained working the clinch and neglected the rest of your offense. Subtract 1 from your Striking and Grappling Offense Ratings.
OPTION 3: "If a man can't stand..." Brainstorm has been going over the ground game with you, reminding you that a fighter with a bad leg can't punch, kick, or defend himself effectively. He's taught you a number of leg sweeps, as well as a couple illegal joint locks designed to pop an ankle or break a toe. Add 1 to your Grappling Offense Rating. Works on rolls of 2-7. If you roll a 12, you have spent too much time focusing on an opponent's legs, and are less likely to watch for his hands. Increase your KO Rating by 1.
As a general rule, you must be uninjured for at least one fight card prior to your match to roll on any trainer's card, and a trainer can only benefit one fighter per card (it requires too much indepth-training to work with more than one person).

I have a ton of house rules. Will post when I am not too lazy. So with this thread in mind Turk mentioned players had commented on a lack of choices (did I hear that right, Greg?). Would anyone be interested in (ch) on POW cards?

actually the (ch) moves were the first thing Mark and I agreed upon to not include.
