I-CON: An Iowa COTG Con

WHAT: I-CON

WHEN: SATURDAY APRIL 24, 2010

WHERE: MAYHEM COMICS- DES MOINES, IA

TIME: NOON - 7 PM

TOURNAMENTS: 1st Blood, Heavy Metal (Spin Wheel, Make Deal for match choice), GWF, GWFZ, LOW, LOTF, aCe and either a POW (MMA) or an Open tournament.

STAKES: Winner of each tournament gets a spot in the exclusive ICONOCLASM Tournament, where Scramble rules (most pins) are used to determine who walks out with the I-CON title!

*Rules TBA at the con
*Each person will draw for their wrestler in each tournament
*If a person wins more than one tournament, the runner up in that tournament may qualify to make it more even.
*A special edition card will be given out to all participants as well.

The interstate battle between the Hawkeyes and Cyclones is nothing compared to what is now an intergalactic battle between good and evil. In April, the stage will be set, the stakes couldn't be higher and the pitch is beyond fever...A rising force in the galaxy is nearing...behold I-CON, a Hawkeye State powered COTG convention like no other....It's an event that brings more pride, more prestige and more excitement this side of Jamestown that you have to witness for yourself...only 2 words can describe it: BE THERE!

This is the first year for doing this event and I am hoping that being in the spring that it doesn't cut into Galacticon, G-Corn and OhioCon. I had it in Des Moines to make it a more central location hoping that maybe people from Ohio, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Missouri, Michigan and more could make it. It's right off I-80 making it even more convenient.
Hopefully people will make plans now as I look to make this an exciting event with the unique tournaments and rules I have in place. Not only that, but the winner will possess a real title belt that is made by myself as seen at G-Con and other events in the COTGverse.

well, it's about 10 hours maybe 10 1/2 for me, and that doesn't stop me! I travel that long to go to Corn every year!

I would love to come out for it, but it doesn't seem to be too likely. Kind of ashame, as it would be fun to actually go to one of these things!
