Saw this on the Wrestling Observer site. Interesting bit of wrestling history. Jim Londos' first world title win over Dick Shikat from 1930 is at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWiQU_KczKA
You can make a very strong argument for Londos as the single greatest drawing card in pro wrestling history. He was more dominant a drawing card for a longer period than any wrestler in history. There are a few other Londos clips as well.

Have guys like Gotch, Hack, Londos, Lewis, etc, real vintage guys as lightweights. I tend to treat these guys as heavyweights since they were more along the heavyweight lines during their time, but thought it made for interesting discussion on those who did have them in the lightweight division

I haven't used them as lightweights. They should easily dominate in that division.

If a wrestler is 220lbs or less, he is a junior heavyweight in my fed no matter what.

I use several of the Vintage guys as lightweights with surprisingly positive results. Gotch vs. Tiger Mask has been quite possibly my longest running rivalry filled with numerous 5 star matches. The results have been about dead even. Londos and Hack have aslo done well in LH action too, but my experience has been that the Vintage guys have been competitive, they have hardly dominated in the way others have feared.

See when I restarted I sat down and looked at all the guys I had and set up three weight divisions. This takes away from some possible feuds Inoki vs Andre but at the same time it produces some really cool feuds I would never have done. Rude vs Henning has been awesome. Londos/Hodge is another barn burner and anyone could win that match at any time.

I use them in both divisions........they are, by definition, lightweights in my world (under 229 lbs.).... but anyone can compete in the heayweight division anyway........so wrestlers like Gotch and Lewis have so far, found heavyweight success.....it does not mean that they will not eventually compete for the lightweight belt.....
