Blondage v. The Crew is always a fun match.
Gomez v. Londos looked like a classic and it always good to see Andre dishing out a beating. Clothesline off the top...the Convention Hall is probably still shaking!

Thanks for the comments Bookerbill, now on to Oklahoma City!
LOW Southern Wrestling Alliance - Myriad Convention Center - Oklahoma City, OK (Card #574)
1) J.D. Michaels defeated Lash Leroux: A solid opening contest between two top junior heavyweight contenders saw the popular "Rajin Cajun" Lash Leroux take on former "Rat Pack" member J.D. Michaels. The brash Michaels out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, most recently scored a disqualification win over former LOW Junior Heavyweight champion Jushin Liger so a win here would move him another step closer to a title match. The same could be said for Leroux and he did a great job keeping Michaels on the defensive including hitting the Bourbon Street Blues. Michaels, perhaps out of desperation, fired Leroux out of the ring taking the chance to recover. Leroux returned barely beating the ten count and Michaels went to work hitting a flying elbow smash and a stinging right hand. Leroux made a fiery comeback but Michaels cut him off with a stun gun followed up by a Flying Bodypress off the top rope to score the pin.
2) Colt Cabana defeated Johnny Rodz: The popular Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana took on "The Unpredictable" Johnny Rodz of LOW All-Star Wrestling in this second bout. Rodz impressed in a recent televised appearance against Lou Thesz and was hoping to score a victory here. Hr controlled the early action before Cabana caught him with the Cabanarama for a near fall. Rodz stubbornly battled back from another pin attempt before Cabana caught him with a folding Thesz Press and hit the Colt .45, a double underhook backbreaker drop, to score the pin.
3) Necro Butcher defeated Cousin Luke: The dangerous and hardcore Necro Butcher showed why he is a feared opponent here by taking apart Cousin Luke with brutal precision. Luke, who is part of a popular tag team with his cousin Hillbilly Jim, has had limited success in individual competition in the SWA. That continued here as Butcher battered him with multiple headbutts, a brutal beatdown in the corner, and the Asiatic Spike Submission hold. Luke attempted a comeback but Necro cut him off and delivered the Tiger Driver to score the pin.
4) Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. Bob & Brad Armstrong was a No-Contest: What was expected to be a highly anticipated scientific contest between Paul London & Brian Kendrick and Bob & Brad Armstrong barely got underway when all hell broke loose. Ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta stated before the match that both teams are in line for a shot at the LOW World tag team titles and the winner would be considered as the next challengers representing the SWA. All four men shook hands and the bell sounded but moments after that Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) raced down to ringside. Cornette struck Brad Armstrong in the leg with his tennis racquet while Condrey and Eaton jumped London and "Bullet" Bob in the ring. Kendrick jumped in to assist London but was blindsided by Cornette who hit him across the back with his choice of weapon. The Express then tossed Armstrong out of the ring and double-teamed London. Condrey held him in position as Eaton came off the top rope with the Alabama Jam. LOW officials then raced into the ring as Cornette and the Express bailed out ending the brief bout in a no-contest decision. Cornette then grabbed the mic and said that "Beautiful" Bobby is back and that London & Kendrick and the Armstrong's have no right to fight for top contender status when his men are the three-time LOW World tag team champions. He said that the Express have sent a clear message and that there will be "hell to pay!" for anyone that gets in their way.
5) Bob Roop & Jimmy Jacobs defeated One Man Gang & Don Muraco: Accompanied by their cult-like leader Kevin Sullivan, Bob Roop & Jimmy Jacobs scored a huge win here over the makeshift team of the One Man Gang & Don Muraco but it was not without controversy. OMG and Muraco, who is the last remaining member of the House of Humperdink, had trouble getting along from the opening bell and Roop, Jacobs, and Sullivan were able to take advantage of that. The closing moments of the match saw a double-team by OMG and Muraco backfire leading to Roop catching the 495-pound OMG with his Shoulder Breaker, an amazing feat of strength, to score the pin. As Roop, Jacobs, and Sullivan headed to the back, Muraco tended to a dazed OMG on the mat. He helped the big man back up to his feet but then was shocked to see his manager, Sir Oliver Humperdink, entering the ring. Humperdink has been awol from the SWA since Bob Orton, Sr., a now former member of the House of Humperdink, had his leg broken by Buddy Rogers. Roop left the fold to join Sullivan in Humperdink's absence leaving Muraco as the lone remaining member of the stable. Muraco went to confront Humperdink but was then suddenly hit from behind by OMG! The massive man from Halstead St. in Chicago proceeded to deliver the 747 Splash and then assaulted him with his trademark chain. Muraco was then unceremoniously tossed out of the ring as Humperdink went and shook hands with OMG. It was a shocking situation and Muraco was left bloody and beaten as OMG and Humperdink left ringside together.
6) Buddy Rogers, Bobby Shane, & Evan Lewis defeated Lou Thesz, Ed Lewis, & Magnum T.A. by DQ: A six-man tag team grudge match was featured as the popular team of Lou Thesz, Ed "Strangler" Lewis, & Magnum T.A. took on "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers, "King of Wrestling" Bobby Shane, and their "Mystery Partner" Evan "Strangler" Lewis. Manager "Elegant" Eddie Fyne, sidelined with a broken wrist courtesy of Thesz, brought in the freelance Evan Lewis to team with Rogers and Shane. That no doubt set off Ed "Strangler" Lewis who looked to get his hands on his namesake. The battle broke out before the bell as Evan Lewis taunted Ed Lewis with the $10,000 Strangler's Challenge check that has been a focal point of his appearances on LOW All-Star Wrestling. Thesz got the jump on Rogers during the altercation and dumped him over the top rope to the floor with an airplane spin. That set the stage for a wild battle which saw Fyne's men get the heat on Ed Lewis for an extended stretch. Shane looked very impressive as he rolled up the "Strangler" with a rolling reverse cradle for a near fall. After a hot tag it was Magnum T.A. exploding into action and he nearly scored a submission on Evan Lewis with a sleeper hold. Things broke down after that, however, as out on the floor it was Thesz sending Shane head first into the ring post resulting in the disqualification. It seemed as if Rogers and company once again got the better of Thesz as the normally level headed star lost his cool resulting in the technical loss for his team.
7) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match: Hillbilly Jim defeated Kevin Sullivan: The popular Hillbilly Jim, who made it to the finals of the tournament at WrestleCade IV in New Orleans losing to the Iron Sheik, qualified for the fourth annual tournament by scoring a stunning victor over Kevin Sullivan. Big Jim almost won it in the opening moments scoring a near fall after a big boot to the face. Sullivan was on the defensive until hitting a counter elbow out of the corner and jabbing a sharp object into Jim's throat. The demonic star launched a brutal assault on Jim after that but once the Hillbilly countered both Bob Roop and Jimmy Jacobs showed up at ringside. They provided a distraction saving Sullivan from certain defeat but then were ejected from ringside by the referee and LOW officials. As the battle continued it was Sullivan knocking Jim out of the ring with a running forearm. He then went for an attack on the floor but Jim turned the tables and ran Sullivan back first into the ring post. Back inside it was Jim catching Sullivan in his powerful finisher, the Bearhug, resulting in a submission victory. The crowd exploded in cheers as Jim was joined by Cousin Luke in celebrating the win. Sullivan, meanwhile, glared angrily at the Hillbilly cousins before leaving the ring.
8) LOW World Heavyweight title: Rick Rude defeated Fred Blassie© by DQ: If this match was any indication it is going to be difficult to unseat the "King of Men" Fred Blassie as the LOW World Heavyweight champion as he showed against freelance star "Ravishing" Rick Rude. Normally jeered by the fans, Rude had their full support in this one as he set out to dethrone Blassie. The well chiseled star out of Robbinsdale, MN, survived an early assault by Blassie and struck with a clothesline for a near fall. He followed with a top rope kneedrop and that resulted in Blassie bailing out of the ring. Rude followed him out and that proved to be a big mistake as Blassie quickly got the upper hand. He delivered a bodyslam on the concrete floor and laid in a barrage of kicks as the referee attempted to get both men back into the ring. Rude began battling back and that led to Blassie catching him with a low blow before running him head first into the ring post. He followed by grabbing a chair and slamming it across the back of Rude resulting in the disqualification decision. The crowd jeered the decision and Blassie wasn't finished there as he choked out Rude with the mic cord before grabbing the title belt and returning to the locker room. Rude refused assistance from LOW officials at ringside and grabbed the mic vowing to get another shoot at Blassie.
(Notes: SWA promoters put together a huge main event with Fred Blassie making his first defense of the LOW World Heavyweight title against freelance star "Ravishing" Rick Rude. It was a violent battle with Blassie losing via disqualification allowing him to retain the championship. He spoke to local reporters backstage and said that he would be the greatest world heavyweight "champeen" in the history of LOW. Rude, meanwhile, was obviously frustrated with the outcome and said that he will press LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox for a rematch...A strange turn of events saw the return of manager Sir Oliver Humperdink who turned on the last remaining member of the House of Humperdink, "The Magnificent" Don Muraco, and aligned himself with the One Man Gang. It was OMG and Muraco teaming up in a loss to Bob Roop & Jimmy Jacobs that led to the strange turn of events. Humperdink was unavailable for comment afterward but a visibly upset Muraco tore into his now former manager even going so far as accusing him of still having ties to Roop and Kevin Sullivan. There is no indication of that but the fact remains that Humperdink turned on the one man that had stayed loyal to him in Muraco and with OMG now under his guidance things are really going to get interesting...Hillbilly Jim qualified for the fourth annual PWI Invitational Cup Tournament by beating Kevin Sullivan in what many are calling an upset. Big Jim nearly won the tournament at WrestleCade IV and will get another chance at glory as he competes in the tournament during WrestleCade VI weekend...Midnight Express member "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton returned from his concussion injury joining "Loverboy" Dennis Condrey and manager Jim Cornette in a brutal assault on Paul London & Brian Kendrick and Bob & Brad Armstrong ruining what promised to be a great scientific contest. Cornette boasted to local reporters backstage that the attack was planned and that it was a farce that London & Kendrick and the Armstrong's were being billed as the top contending teams in the SWA. He said that London & Kendrick "signed their death warrant" when they injured Eaton and that soon he would be laying down an "ultimate challenge". The reporters pressed him on that statement but he refused to give details. Bob Armstrong, meanwhile, was livid over the actions of Cornette and his men and said that he and Brad would be coming after them. As for London and Kendrick, London was not seriously injured in the attack but neither team member was available for comment. SWA promoters, meanwhile, have signed the Midnight Express to face Bob & Brad Armstrong on the next card in Hampton, VA (Card #580), a card that will also feature defenses of both the LOW International Heavyweight and LOW Junior Heavyweight titles along with Colt Cabana facing Bobby Shane in a PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match.)

Five star play by play in relaying the action. From a fan perspective, I'd love to see a rematch with rules put in place that would foster a more conclusive outcome (ie. no DQ, elimination rules). Great stuff!

LOW American Wrestling Enterprise - Cow Palace - San Francisco, CA (Card #575)
1) John Tolos defeated S.D. Jones: The "Golden Greek" John Tolos squared off against S.D. Jones of LOW All-Star Wrestling in this opening bout. Tolos, who regularly teams with his brother Chris as the Hamilton Wrecking Crew, was at his vicious best here. He punished Jones with knee drops, choke holds, and punches. Jones mounted a brief comeback hitting a suplex and flying dropkick but was never able to get in a sustained offensive. Tolos ended this one by delivering a backbreaker and his trademark Flying Knee Drop to score the pin.
2) Tina Moretti & Sumie Sakai defeated Joyce Grable & Simply Luscious: Women's tag team action was featured next as Tina Moretti & Sumie Sakai took on Joyce Grable & Simply Luscious. All four women have had experience facing each other recently so this made for an interesting pairing. The crowd threw their support behind Moretti and Sakai in this one and the popular stars rode that to a nice victory. Both teams looked good, though, and Grable and Luscious came close to victory a few times. This one came down to Moretti catching Grable with her finisher, the Jumping Facebuster, to score the pin as Sakai cut off an interfering Luscious.
3) Chris Tolos defeated Dan Severn by DQ: Former LOW International Heavyweight champion Dan "The Beast" Severn is known for his calm demeanor and great technical skill but in this match against Chris Tolos he seemed to snap in scary fashion. Severn dominated most of the early action connecting with the fireman's carry slam and locking on the Choke Sleeper for a submission chance. He also used the German Suplex and heel hook before Tolos took him down with a counter shoulder tackle. Tolos used that opportunity to rough up Severn using the eye gouge and face rake with his elbow pad. He also connected with a clothesline off the ropes before Severn bailed out of the ring. Tolos followed him out and the battle continued with Severn exploding in anger. He tossed Tolos into the guard rail and then sent him head first into the ring post drawing a snake eyes disqualification. Severn then locked on his finisher, the Wakigatame, and refused to release it until John Tolos raced down to ringside to save his brother from potential injury. Severn released the hold and then stood toe-to-toe in a stare down with the "Golden Greek" before LOW officials intervened preventing a brawl.
4) LOW Junior Heavyweight title: Red Bastien© defeated Stan Lane by DQ to retain the title: A second straight snake eyes decision took place as LOW Junior Heavyweight champion Red Bastien, accompanied by Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. leader "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe, defended the belt against the popular "Sweet" Stan Lane. It has been a rough go for Lane as a singles wrestler in the AWE, particularly after his great tag team runs with the Midnight Express and the Fabulous Ones in LOW, but this opportunity was one that could put him back on the map. Lane controlled most of the early action and caught Bastien with the Midnight Lariat for a near fall. Bastien battled back and caught Lane with a flying head scissors into a cradle hold for a near fall. He then went up top and dove off at Lane but he moved out of the way. Lane followed up with the Superkick for what looked to be a sure pin but Sharpe placed Bastien's leg over the bottom rope breaking up the three count. Lane was furious and as the battle continued he took Bastien out to the floor. Sharpe again tried to interfere but Lane ran both of their heads together. He then sent Bastien head first into the ring post drawing the disqualification. It was a tough loss for Lane and Bastien retained the title thanks to a timely assist from his manager.
5) George Hackenschmidt defeated William Muldoon: This battle of former LOW World Heavyweight champions could literally be a main event in any arena as "The Solid Man" William Muldoon took on the "Russian Lion" George Hackenschmidt. It was all Muldoon in the early going as he countered a corner charge with a roll-up for a near fall and then executed a devastating suplex. Hackenschmidt was reeling until he bailed out of the ring pulling Muldoon out and running him back first into the ring post. Back on the inside it was Hackenschmidt applying his trademark Russian Bearhug going for the submission but Muldoon was able to fight out of it. Muldoon battled back locking on his own bearhug and had control until missing with a standing dropkick (ch) allowing Hackenschmidt an opening. The "Russian Lion" proceeded to deliver a backbreaker on Muldoon and, after a brief counter attack, he caught Muldoon in a painful Twisting Heel Hook resulting in a snake eyes submission victory. It was an impressive victory for Hackenschmidt who no doubt wants another crack at the LOW World Heavyweight title. As for Muldoon, his recent brutal rivalry with The Terrible Turk may have taken its toll on him as he dropped an important bout to Hackenschmidt.
6) Nick Bockwinkel defeated John Pesek: A grudge challenge match here as SSU member Nick Bockwinkel, accompanied by Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, took on AOV bodyguard John Pesek who was accompanied by faction leader Iron Mike Dibiase. Pesek controlled the early action and had Bockwinkel in trouble using both the double bar hammerlock and his finisher, the Double Wristlock, for submission chances. Heenan provided a distraction allowing Bockwinkel to escape the latter and he came back locking on the Bockwinkel Sleeper for a submission chance of his own. Pesek went on another solid offensive using both the waistlock slam and headbutt to great effect. He had Bockwinkel reeling until the former two-time LOW World Heavyweight champion caught him with a back suplex. Bockwinkel had the momentum until missing with a corner charge and falling out of the ring. Pesek followed him out but that proved to be a mistake as Bockwinkel got the upper hand. Back on the inside it was Bockwinkel locking on the Bockwinkel Sleeper for a second time. Dibiase jumped up on the ring apron but was caught with a low blow from Heenan. With Dibiase out of the picture, Bockwinkel cinched on the hold and was awarded a popular submission victory over the enforcer of the AOV.
7) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match: Chris Candido defeated Roderick Strong: The "Suicide Blonde" Chris Candido, accompanied by the beautiful Sunny, became the latest man to qualify for the tournament as he defeated popular former LOW Junior Heavyweight champion Roderick Strong in a great bout. Early action saw Strong catch Candido with the power bomb backbreaker, a part of his Messiah of the Backbreaker attack, attempting to set up for his Stronghold finisher. Candido launched an impressive counter attack delivering a superplex and a vertical suplex into a press for a near fall. After a battle on the outside it was Strong hitting his finisher, the Gibson Driver, for what could have been the end but Sunny distracted the referee preventing a pin. Strong battled on blasting Candido with a Yakuza Kick and hit another power bomb backbreaker. He had Candido in trouble but again Sunny got involved as the two were battling outside the ring. Her distraction gave Candido an opening and a short time later he connected with his finisher, the Blonde Bomb, to score the pin. Sunny was ecstatic bouncing around at ringside as her man scored a huge victory sending him into the tournament being held during WrestleCade VI weekend.
8) Masked Superstar & King Kong Bundy defeated The Crusher & Ray Stevens by DQ: It was the Strong Style Union vs. Axis of Violence in the main event as SSU members The Crusher and San Francisco's own Ray "The Crippler" Stevens, accompanied by Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, took on the Iron Mike Dibiase led AOV team of the Masked Superstar & King Kong Bundy. With tension building on both sides heading into War Games at WrestleCade VI, particularly with the recent injuries suffered by SSU member Bryan Danielson and AOV member Curt Henning, this promised to be an explosive encounter and it was. The Superstar and Bundy got the heat on The Crusher for an extended stretch. They dropped him with a double clothesline and Superstar locked on a sleeper hold going for the submission. Bundy then used the devastating running power slam and power drop on The Crusher who was taking quite a beating. Finally it was The Crusher, still wearing a cast on his right hand which was broken by John Pesek, battling back with some stiff blows. Stevens got the tag and the crowd exploded as the hometown hero went into action. He battled both members of the AOV including the gargantuan Bundy who had previously injured him. Unfortunately it was a battle on the outside that saw the SSU team lose their cool getting disqualified as they blasted Superstar and Bundy with chair shots. Both men, along with Dibiase, fled down the aisle as The Crusher, Stevens, and Heenan dared them to return to the ring.
(Notes: With War Games looming at WrestleCade VI, members of the Strong Style Union and the Axis of Violence are looking to gain an advantage and on this night it was a draw as the two sides went 1-1 in their respective matches. SSU member Nick Bockwinkel, with a timely assist from his manager Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, scored an important win over AOV enforcer John Pesek who doubles as the bodyguard for faction member Larry Zbyszko. The self proclaimed "Living Legend" was not on hand so AOV faction leader Iron Mike Dibiase worked the corner for Pesek in a losing effort. PWI Editor Bill Apter was also on hand and he caught up with Dibiase post-match. An irate Dibiase had some harsh words for Heenan and said that the manager is "hiding behind" the SSU and his own enforcer Abraham Lincoln. When word got back to Heenan he dared Dibiase to accept a one-on-one match with him and that will indeed take place on the next AWE card in San Diego, CA (Card #582), with a stipulation barring all members of the SSU and AOV from ringside. As for the main event, San Francisco's own Ray "The Crippler" Stevens teamed with fellow SSU member The Crusher dropping a disqualification decision to the AOV team of the Masked Superstar and King Kong Bundy. Stevens was disappointed in losing on his home turf but was ultimately satisfied that he and The Crusher delivered a strong message to the AOV...Chris Candido, with some assistance from his beautiful manager Sunny, became the latest man to qualify for the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament with his victory over Roderick Strong. Sunny was ecstatic backstage as she spoke with Apter saying that her man was going to "go all the way" and win the tournament at WrestleCade VI...Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. member Red Bastien retained the LOW Junior Heavyweight title beating Stan Lane by DQ on the undercard. Bastien was fortunate to escape with the belt and afterward credited Lane with giving him a strong challenge...William Muldoon is slated to face his rival The Terrible Turk in a PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match (Card #582 in San Diego) but will go in with no momentum following a tough loss to the "Russian Lion" George Hackenschmidt. Muldoon has been sidetracked in his feud with The Turk and will look to beat him in the all-important match...Also in San Diego it will be Dan "The Beast" Severn going one-on-one with the "Golden Greek" John Tolos in a grudge match coming off Severn's treatment of his brother Chris Tolos in their match in San Francisco. That should be an explosive encounter.)

LOW Global Wrestling Association - Maple Leaf Gardens - Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Card #576)
1) Danny Hodge & Johnny Saint defeated The Mountie & Finlay: Exciting tag team action opened things up as Danny Hodge & Johnny Saint took on The Mountie & Finlay. Hodge was out for revenge after dropping a decision to The Mountie on the previous GWA card and The Mountie was sure to incite the Ontario crowd pre-match by saying how Quebec is the greatest province in all of Canada. Early action saw some great holds and counter holds being exchanged by all four men involved in the match. There were also a great series of near falls and submission chances including when Finlay hit Hodge with the Shillelagh. Saint chalked up a nice near fall when he trapped The Mountie in the Johnny Saint Special with Finlay making the save. Hodge also caught Finlay in the Indian Deathlock for a submission chance with the "Belfast Bruiser" punching his way out of the hold. The Mountie nearly won it for his team when he caught Hodge with a piledriver but Saint made the save. The action reached a wild finish as Hodge battled Finlay in one corner while Saint trapped The Mountie in the Three In One, a variation of the Octopus Hold, in center ring resulting in a submission victory.
2) George Steele defeated Savage-T: A wild bout followed up the opener as George "The Animal" Steele took on Savage-T of LOW All-Star Wrestling. KJ Hill, the valet of Savage-T, distracted Steele during the introductions resulting in Savage-T hitting a superkick for a quick near fall. Steele stormed back applying the Flying Hammerlock but Hill distracted him saving her man. The action continued at a fast and furious pace with each man trading blows back and forth. Savage-T came very close to winning at one point gaining a near fall off a running reverse neckbreaker. Steele fought back in his inimitable style using a foreign object to soften up Savage-T before again trapping him in the Flying Hammerlock for a submission victory.
3) LOW Women's title: Sherri Martel© defeated MsChif to retain the title: An interesting development took place prior to this championship match as Playboy Buddy Rose of the Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc., dressed in a fine suit, took a seat at ringside. Six-time LOW Women's champion Sherri Martel, who questioned the appearance of Rose, took on former champion MsChif in this highly anticipated bout. Martel scored early hitting her trademark Top Rope Splash but MsChif kicked out with authority. The "Goth-banshee" fought back hard hitting both the Code Green and Gateway to Annihilation. She scored a pair of near falls on the champion using the former and a standing moonsault. She also battered Martel with a vicious series of headbutts. Martel made a comeback and tried a pin using the ropes but was caught by the referee. The two also brawled out to the floor a few times with Martel more than holding her own against her hardcore opponent. This one ended in technical fashion as Martel executed a leapfrog before rebounding off the opposite ropes with a Sunset Flip pinning MsChif's shoulders to the mat for a three count. MsChif pounded the mat in disgust post-match and got even angrier when Rose entered the ring. He went to offer MsChif a business card but she responded by spraying green mist in his face! A blinded Rose, his blonde hair and suit covered in green, was helped up by Martel afterward and the two returned to the back together.
4) Hell's Angels defeated Killer Bees: Miss Linda continued a parade of female stars coming to ringside as she led the Hell's Angels (Exotic Adrian Street & Nigel McGuinness) into battle against the popular Killer Bees (Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell). These two teams have had quite a rivalry going and the action in this match lived up to that. The Bees got the heat on Street throughout the early going preventing him from making a tag. They also surprised the "Exotic One" when they performed Masked Confusion with Brunzell switching places with Blair. Miss Linda argued with the referee as a masked Brunzell took Street down with a flying head scissors and running elbow smash. The tide turned when Street avoided a corner charge by Brunzell causing him to fall out of the ring. McGuinness tagged in and roughed up Brunzell including locking him in a cross armbreaker. Brunzell finally caught a break and made the hot tag to Blair resulting in some more furious action. It was McGuinness, however, who got the last laugh over the masked Blair when he rebounded off the ropes with the Jawbreaker Lariat to score the pin.
5) Killer Kowalski defeated Giant Baba: Chalk up a big win for the Axis of Violence as the feared Killer Kowalski defeated Strong Style Union member Shohei "Giant" Baba in a wild battle. Baba, a former two-time LOW World Heavyweight champion, dominated the early action delivering the 16-Mon Kick (boot to the face) and Baba Chop. Kowalski battled back with the backbreaker and bombs away knee drop before locking on the Kowalski Claw. He had the painful hold locked on Baba's midsection but the giant from Japan fought out of it with a series of chops to the head. Baba regained control and executed a piledriver before Kowalski took the action to the outside. Kowalski wound up running Baba hard into the ring post, narrowly avoiding a disqualification, and back on the inside caught Baba with a Jumping Elbow Smash to score the pin. It was a huge win for Kowalski and helped serve notice that the AOV is poised and ready for the final showdown with the SSU in War Games at WrestleCade VI.
6) Don Leo Jonathan & Angelo Mosca defeated The Sheepherders: The imposing team of Don Leo Jonathan 6'9" and 320-pounds) and hometown favorite Angelo "King Kong" Mosca (6'1" and 319-pounds) took on freelance stars The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) in this feature tag team bout. The Sheepherders are known for their vicious attacks and double-team assaults and that had to have Jonathan and Mosca a little wary going into this one. Early action saw Jonathan survive a blistering attack by both Sheepherders before catching Butch with a counter sunset flip and rolling back splash for near falls. Mosca, who has qualified for the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament, showed the ability that brought him there by turning the tables on Butch and Luke. This one ended when, with Jonathan battling Butch, Mosca caught Luke with a big clothesline and locked on the Sleeper Hold resulting in a submission victory. The Sheepherders tried to execute a post-match attack but were driven out of the ring by the "Mormon Giant" and "King Kong".
7) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match: David Taylor defeated Super Crazy: David Taylor out of Queensbury, Yorkshire, England, became the eighth man to qualify for the tournament as he defeated the "Insane Luchadore" Super Crazy in a spirited match. The crowd was fully in support of Crazy from the opening bell and he survived an early onslaught from Taylor hitting a swinging-up snap mare, a low dropkick, and a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for a near fall. The blistering pace of Crazy's attack had Taylor on the defensive but came back after running him into the ring post and following with a vertical suplex back into the ring. The referee failed to call for a disqualification on the ring post attack and Taylor took advantage of it catching Crazy with the British Suplex, a double underhook suplex into a float over, to score the pin.
8) Ted Dibiase, Steve Williams, & Terry Gordy defeated Road Warriors & Harley Race by Count Out: A loaded main event saw the Axis of Violence trio of Ted Dibiase, Steve "Dr. Death" Williams, & Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy take on the Strong Style Union represented by six-time LOW World tag team champions the Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) and two-time LOW World Heavyweight champion Harley Race. It should be noted that Dibiase and Williams are two-time LOW World tag team champions as well. This one was all action from bell to bell with both teams battling in and out of the ring. Animal had Dibiase on the defensive at one point and laid him out with an overhead bodyslam, or gorilla press. Dibiase impressively battled back and caught Animal with a spinning neckbreaker for the only near fall of the match. It seemed as if both teams were intent on putting a hurting on each other and that victory wasn't nearly the priority it should have been. This one ended up on the outside with all six men battling it out but it was Animal and Williams that were the legal men in the match. That led to a wild sequence that saw Gordy catch Animal with a chair shot to the back which was missed by the referee. Williams then delivered a vicious German Suplex to Animal and rolled back into the ring giving the AOV a count out victory. The battle continued post-match with LOW officials and other GWA wrestlers having to head down to the ring to break it up.
(Notes: It was a wild night of action in Toronto that saw the Axis of Violence come away with a 2-0 decision over the Strong Style Union in their head-to-head matches. With War Games coming at WrestleCade VI it is important for both sides to deliver a message and on this night it was Ted Dibiase and the AOV that did just that. Dibiase was joined by Steve Williams & Terry Gordy in beating the SSU team of the Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) and Harley Race in a star studded main event. It was a count out decision in favor of the AOV but Dibiase cared little about how his team won as he bragged to local reporters backstage that it was "just a taste" of what was to come at War Games. Killer Kowalski gave the AOV their other big win as he defeated Giant Baba in a tremendous battle on the undercard. Many favored Baba going into that one but Kowalski, a former LOW World tag team and International Heavyweight champion, is not one to be underestimated and he scored a rare pinfall win over the Japanese giant...David Taylor became the eighth man to qualify for the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament as he defeated Super Crazy in their qualifying match. Taylor will now have a chance to go to the finals being held at WrestleCade VI...Sherri Martel retained the LOW Women's title beating former champion MsChif in a hard fought battle but it was the appearance of Playboy Buddy Rose at ringside that is fueling rumors. Rose, a member of Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc., had his trademark blonde mane and a nice suit covered in green mist when he tried to recruit MsChif following the match. Martel then surprised many when she escorted a green colored Rose to the back while clutching her championship belt. The two were later seen cavorting and one has to wonder if Rose, representing "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe, will have success in recruiting the LOW Women's champion into the fold...Next up for the GWA is a return to Manchester, England (Card #583), featuring Danny Hodge vs. Don Leo Jonathan in a PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match.)

LOW Memphis Championship Wrestling - Mid-South Coliseum - Memphis, TN (Card #577)
1) Brutus Beefcake & Rhett Titus defeated Matt & Nick Jackson: The popular Young Bucks ("Mr. Action Replay" Matt Jackson & "Slick" Nick Jackson) of LOW All-Star Wrestling took on Brutus Beefcake & Rhett Titus in an entertaining opening match. The Bucks displayed the blazing speed and nice teamwork they are known for and almost came away with a big win. Beefcake and Titus got the heat on Nick for an extended stretch including Beefcake hitting the Flying Knee Smash for a near fall. The Bucks struck back with the double backflip dropkicks and nearly pinned Titus with More Bang For Your Buck but Beefcake made a timely save. The finish saw Titus counter a superkick by Nick and follow up with the Thrust Buster to score the pin. Beefcake and Titus confronted MCW Commissioner Lance Russell at ringside post-match demanding an opportunity at the Southern tag team titles. Russell said that he would "take it under consideration" which didn't please Beefcake and Titus.
2) Nora Greenwald defeated Sara Del Ray by Count Out: With a match upcoming against fellow BDK member Tursas in CHIKARA, Sara Del Ray went into this match with Nora Greenwald with a big distraction. Greenwald took advantage of that and dominated Del Ray through most of the early going including hitting the snap suplex and rolling neck snap multiple times. Del Ray battled back with a slingshot out of the corner into a Samoan Drop in a nice sequence. She also applied the Royal Butterfly Lock but Greenwald was able to escape. This one ended up out on the floor where Del Ray controlled until missing with a running big boot and crashing into the ring post. Greenwald took advantage of that and rolled back inside getting an important count out victory over the highly ranked Del Ray.
3) Dr. Cube & Genghis Khan defeated D-Lo Brown & Kenny King: A grudge tag team battle saw former ant-CHIKARA faction members Dr. Cube & Genghis Khan joining forces to face the popular team of D-Lo Brown & Kenny King. It was all Brown and King early as the got the heat on the box-headed Cube using a blend of speed and power. King caught him with a spinning leg lariat and then teamed with Brown on a double-team neckbreaker. Cube battled back and blew the controversial poison mist in Brown's face setting up a standing karate kick by Khan for a near fall. Khan was very impressive during his time in roughing up both Brown and King. This one came to a finish when Cube caught King with a low blow and scored a snake eyes pin off of a Scalpel Kick. An irate King jumped Cube post-match before Khan was able to pull the "doctor" out of the ring.
4) Harker Dirge defeated Ricky Landell: This rematch from the last MCW card saw independent star "Bloody" Harker Dirge, appearing via the MCW Open Door Policy, score a nice win over the popular Ricky Landell. This was a very evenly fought bout with both men having nice stretches of offense. Dirge cut off an offensive by Landell with a nice counter cradle hold off the ropes for a near fall. Landell struck back with the hip toss neckbreaker and sent Dirge out of the ring. That proved to be a mistake as Dirge pulled him out and sent him hard into the ring post. Dirge followed up back inside with a jumping knee drop, a legdrop over the ropes, and an Abdominal Stretch and Sweep to score the pin. It was an impressive victory by Dirge who was likely looking to impress MCW Commissioner Lance Russell with his performance.
5) Tyler Black defeated Adam Pearce: The sensational Tyler Black has picked up a big fan following in MCW since his partner Jimmy Jacobs bolted for the SWA along with their mentor Kevin Sullivan. The fans have really taken to Black who here was matched up against the struggling "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce. It has been a rough go for Pearce, a former heavyweight champion on the independent circuit, who has won just one match in MCW. He laid it all on the table here busting Black open and using the whip with strap, a spinebuster slam, and his trademark Jumping Piledriver for big near falls. He argued with the referee after Black kicked out of the Jumping Piledriver but it was to no avail. Black, bloodied and near defeat, made a huge comeback delivering the superkick, turnbuckle power bomb, and the enzuigiri. He picked up a few near falls before catching Pearce with God's Last Gift followed up quickly by the Fireman's Carry Gutbuster to score the pin. The crowd erupted in cheers as Black had his hand raised in victory while Pearce angrily pounded on the mat in frustration.
6) MCW Southern tag team titles: The French Angel & Yukon Eric© vs. Brent Albright & Kevin Steen was a DDQ: A jubilant "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart led First Family members "The Shooter" Brent Albright & "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen into battle against MCW Southern tag team champions The French Angel & Yukon Eric. Hart grabbed the mic prior to the ring introductions and proudly stated that his men drove Jerry "The King" Lawler and B.G. James out of Memphis. He also said that "Superstar" Bill Dundee was "afraid to show up without his cronies" and then vowed that his men would become the new tag team champions. The Angel and Eric had a lot to say about that, however, and they dominated early on sheer brute strength alone. The Angel blasted Albright with a fearsome head butt for a near fall and Eric likewise gained on "The Shooter" after a bodyblock into the turnbuckle. Steen was able to rally his team taking down Eric with a power bomb and a moonsault for a near fall. He also used the Sharpshooter on The Angel for a submission chance. Albright followed up hitting the half nelson suplex on Eric and locking on the Crowbar for a submission chance. This one ended up on the floor, though, with all four men battling it out resulting in a double disqualification. That decision allowed The Angel and Eric to retain the titles and caused Hart to go crazy at ringside. He threatened MCW Commissioner Lance Russell with a "lawsuit" if his men don't get a rematch. Russell said that they could have their rematch but with things so out of control he needed a special referee - Bill Dundee! Hart, Albright, and Steen went ballistic as the crowd cheered the controversial decision.
7) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match: Austin Aries defeated Chris Hero: An important match-up here between Chris Hero and First Family member "A Double" Austin Aries with a spot in the tournament at stake. Both men are despised by the crowd in MCW but they threw their support behind Hero who is considered the lesser of two evils. Hero poured it on early hitting the Hero Stomp and a moonsault for a near fall. He then locked on the cravate keeping Aries on the defensive. Aries came back with some nice offense, including hitting the Heat-Seeking Missile, and then nailed Hero with a brainbuster. That seemed to turn the tide of the match and, after a brief comeback by Hero, Aries locked on the Last Chancery getting the win via submission. Aries qualified for the tournament and will face reigning LOW Tex-Arkana Television champion "War King" Eddie Kingston in the opening round. A cackling Jimmy Hart got on the mic post-match and said that Aries will go to WrestleCade VI and bring the cup back to the First Family!
8) MCW Southern Heavyweight title: Davey Richards© defeated Cowboy Bob Orton to retain the title: A big main event as four-time MCW Southern Heavyweight champion Davey Richards defended the belt against a potent challenge in the form of "The Ace" Cowboy Bob Orton. Having recently earned a contract to join MCW, Orton brings a lot to the table as a respected veteran with a long history in LOW. He has yet to taste championship gold in LOW, though, and was hoping to take the belt from Richards here. Early action saw a nice exchange of holds and counter holds by both men along with some chops thrown in for good measure. Orton was attempting to set up for his devastating finisher, the Superplex, but he was unable to get Richards into position for it. Richards scored with a spin kick late in the battle and then trapped Orton in the Vicious Armlock. Orton struggled to break free from the hold and get to the ropes but Richards pulled him back toward mid-ring resulting in a tap out and a submission victory for the popular champion. The crowd cheered as the referee handed the belt to Richards and Orton, though dejected, surprised many by offering a hand shake. Richards reluctantly accepted and Orton bailed out of the ring indicating that he would be back for another shot at the gold.
(Notes: An interesting night of action in MCW featured a surprise announcement as MCW Commissioner Lance Russell named "Superstar" Bill Dundee as the special guest referee for a title rematch between MCW Southern tag team champions The French Angel & Yukon Eric and the First Family team of Brent Albright & Kevin Steen. Jimmy Hart, head of the First Family, was visibly upset over the decision which came after a double disqualification in the championship match. Hart spoke with local reporters afterward and claimed that Russell favored Dundee and the champions along with his exiled friends, Jerry Lawler and B.G. James. He said that the First Family would not be stopped in their plan of domination of MCW and vowed that even with Dundee's help his men would dethrone The Angel and Eric on the next card in Memphis (Card #584)...Davey Richards retained the MCW Southern Heavyweight title beating Cowboy Bob Orton in a highly anticipated main event. Orton, a second generation star, posed a serious threat to the title but Richards was able to turn back the challenge. Orton surprised many by shaking hands with Richards post-match and it should be interesting to see what his next move is...Austin Aries brought the First Family a big win by beating Chris Hero in a PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match. The win by Aries also set up the first official tournament match as he will face reigning LOW Tex-Arkana Television champion "War King" Eddie Kingston in the opening round taking place during WrestleCade VI weekend...Independent star "Bloody" Harker Dirge defeated Ricky Landell in their rematch from the previous MCW card which ended in a time limit draw. It was an impressive win for Dirge and it will be interesting to see if he is offered a contract with MCW.)

LOW Northern Wrestling Corporation - Hamburg Field House - Hamburg, PA (Card #578)
1) April Hunter defeated Alere Little Feather: Women's action opened things up as April Hunter, formerly one-half of the LOW Women's tag team champions with Jazz, took on the popular Alere Little Feather. Hunter seemed to come into this one with a chip on her shoulder as she made short work of Little Feather. After a brief early struggle the powerful Hunter caught Little Feather with a clothesline off the ropes and followed up with the Hunter's Hangman. That left Little Feather in a bad way and Hunter followed up with a Spinning Backbreaker to score the pin.
2) Arik Cannon defeated Afa, Jr. by DQ: Hard hitting action here as "The Anarchist" Arik Cannon took on Afa, Jr., "The Samoan Storm", one-third of the Samoan Island Tribe along with Alofa & Samu. Cannon scored early hitting the Exploder Suplex and an elevated snap neckbreaker covering Afa, Jr. for a near fall. The 290-pound Samoan battled back hitting a corner splash and a second rope moonsault. He then hit his finisher, Lights Out, but Cannon kicked out just before the three count. Afa, Jr. went on an extended offensive attack but was unable to put Cannon away. This one ended up on the floor and it was Afa, Jr. spearing Cannon head first into the ring post resulting in the disqualification decision.
3) Ox Baker defeated George South: The menacing Ox Baker, who has qualified for the PWI Invitational Cup Tournament being held WrestleCade VI weekend, took great pleasure in punishing George South of LOW All-Star Wrestling in this one. South did put up a nice battle but Baker was always a step ahead. He punished South before blasting him with the Heart Punch only to pull him up at the count of two. After that it was all Baker who, after a series of knee drops to the head, nailed South with a Clothesline and covered him for the pin. It wasn't over there, though, as Baker threatened a post-match Heart Punch on South only to be shocked by the sudden appearance of Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka in the aisle. Snuka, who has been out of action courtesy of a Heart Punch attack by Baker, appeared poised to attack but LOW officials cut him off from getting into the ring. Snuka defiantly stared at Baker as he retreated and it was Baker then tossing South over the top rope to the floor. Baker then grabbed the mic and said that he has another Heart Punch ready for Snuka and that he would deliver it with more force than the one that "ended the career of corrupt LOW Commissioner Massif"!
4) Billy Red Lyons & Dewey Robertson defeated Nikolai Volkoff & Iron Sheik: Tag team competition has really been heating up in the NWC and in this bout it was the popular Canadian team of Billy Red Lyons & Dewey Robertson taking on the anti-American team of Nikolai Volkoff & Iron Sheik. The combination of Volkoff and Sheik, brought back to the NWC by reigning LOW World Heavyweight champion Fred Blassie, have been on a tear but they came up short in this one. It wasn't for a lack of effort, though, as Volkoff used his devastating Backbreaker Drop on Lyons for a big near fall. The Sheik also delivered some punishment including hitting a devastating piledriver on Robertson. Lyons made a comeback for his team with rapid fire dropkicks on Volkoff followed by a running splash from Robertson. A few exchanges later it was Lyons and Robertson connecting with a double clothesline on Volkoff. That led to Robertson trapping the big Russian in the Figure Four Leglock while Lyons caught the interfering Sheik with a flying dropkick. Moments later it was all over as Volkoff tapped out giving Lyons and Robertson a big victory.
5) Bruiser Brody defeated Larry Hennig: NWC promoters put together a big match here pitting freelance stars Bruiser Brody and Larry "The Axe" Hennig against each other for the first time in LOW. Henning, a member of the Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc., was accompanied by "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe, the founder of the freelance faction. Brody stormed down to ringside wildly swinging his chain while Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" blared over the public address system. The two big men engaged in a wild and physical battle here trading blows from bell to bell. Brody went on a nice offensive and delivered a nice one hand bodyslam on Hennig for a near fall. Hennig battled back strong catching Brody with a turnbuckle squash. He was attempting to set up his finisher, The Axe, but Brody was able to avoid it. Hennig made a critical mistake when he bailed out of the ring after a running legdrop. He conferred with Sharpe at ringside but Brody reached over the ropes and ran their heads together. He then brought Hennig back in the hard way and moments later connected with the Jumping Knee Drop to score the pin.
6) Johnny & Greg Valentine defeated Bobo Brazil & Antonino Rocca by DQ: An interesting outcome in this one as the father and son team of Johnny & Greg Valentine, accompanied by manager Captain Lou Albano, scored a disqualification win over the popular combination of Bobo Brazil & Antonino Rocca. It was a match pretty much dominated by Brazil and Rocca as they kept the Valentine's on the defensive. Rocca caught Greg with a counter sunset flip off the ropes for a near fall and Brazil used both an atomic drop (ch) and Coco Butt on both men for near falls. Johnny came back strong for his team hammering both Brazil and Rocca with stiff chops, elbows, and forearm smashes. It was that kind of roughhousing that drew the ire of Brazil and Rocca and things got out of hand as all four men battled on the floor. Rocca caught Johnny with a flying dropkick but then his temper got the best of him as he delivered a chair shot resulting in a snake eyes disqualification. It was a surprising result and Brazil had to restrain Rocca post-match from going after both men and Albano with the chair. Albano then grabbed the mic referring to Rocca and said "he's crazy, he's insane, he's a lunatic!" drawing laughter from the crowd.
7) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match: Gorgeous George defeated Dick Hutton: The disrespect that Gorgeous George has been feeling boiled over in this one as he defeated a very tough opponent in Dick Hutton to qualify for the tournament. An early distraction by George's valet, Cherie Dupre, led to Hutton being trapped in the Spinning Toe Hold for a submission chance. George followed that with a slew of near falls with a small package using the tights, a counter sunset flip off the ropes, and the rolling hiplock. Hutton showed great intestinal fortitude in surviving that attack and hanging tough in the match. After a brawl on the floor, where George got the upper hand, he executed a face rake using the Georgie pins. The blinded Hutton then fell easy prey to George who trapped him in the Gorgeous Grip, his variation of the sleeper hold, and got the victory via submission. It was a huge win for George who now will compete in the first round of the tournament at WrestleCade VI weekend. On the other hand it was a bitter defeat for Hutton who never seemed to get things going after the early sneak attack executed by George and his valet.
8) LOW World tag team titles: Fabulous Kangaroos© defeated Sabu & Rob Van Dam to retain the titles: This highly anticipated rematch saw Sabu & Rob Van Dam, accompanied by manager Bill Alfonso, attempting to regain the LOW World tag team titles from the Fabulous Kangaroos (Al Costello & Roy Heffernan) who were accompanied by their manager Wild Red Berry. The NWC crowd was fully behind their team of Sabu and RVD as they took on the talented champions from Sydney, Australia. Unfortunately for the challengers any momentum they received from that support was negated by Berry who played a role in the outcome of the match. Late in the bout it was Sabu on the offensive against Costello when Berry interfered striking Sabu in the leg with the boomerang while the referee was distracted. That set up Costello trapping him in the Marble Bor Leglock for a submission chance. Sabu survived that but a follow up attack on the floor left him vulnerable to the finisher of the Kangaroos, the Boomerang, with Costello covering him for the pin. RVD attempted a save but was cut off by Heffernan and that allowed the Kangaroos to retain the titles. Alfonso loudly protested the decision to the referee but it was to no avail as the decision stood in favor of the defending champions.
(Notes: A lot took place on this show in Hamburg not the least of which was the surprise return of Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka who confronted the man that put him out of action - Ox Baker. Snuka showed up after Baker demolished George South but was restrained by LOW Officials from going after him. Baker had but Snuka out of action with a Heart Punch, like he has so many other opponents, and was threatening to hit South with it post-match when the "Superfly" intervened. Though there was no physical altercation it didn't take long for NWC officials to sign a match between Snuka and Baker and that will be a feature attraction on the next card at New York's Madison Square Garden (Card #585), the same venue where Baker inflicted the injury on Snuka (Card #552). Snuka spoke with local reporters following the card and vowed to put an end to the damage that Baker has inflicted on many opponents over the years in LOW...The Fabulous Kangaroos (Al Costello & Roy Heffernan) used a timely assist from their manager Wild Red Berry in turning back former champions Sabu & Rob Van Dam in retaining the LOW World tag team titles. Bill Alfonso, the manager of Sabu and RVD, was livid backstage calling for Berry to be suspended and saying that his men deserve a rematch. LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox will likely consider the latter but probably not the former as Alfonso has been known to assist his men as well...Gorgeous George also benefited from an assist from his valet, Cherie Dupre, in beating Dick Hutton in their PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match. The win sends George into the tournament being held WrestleCade VI weekend where he will face MCW star Gran Akuma in the opening round...NWC promoters in Hamburg put together a solid card here including a battle of freelance stars with Bruiser Brody squaring off against Larry "The Axe" Hennig of Sharpe Sports Agency, Inc. Brody came out on top in that one and is riding a wave of momentum that has him up for consideration for a spot in the 12-Man Gold Star Battle Royal upcoming at MSG (Card #585) which is the next card upcoming for the NWC.)

CHIKARA - Cat Scratch Fever - Taylortown Trade Center - Taylor, MI (Card #579)
1) Dasher Hatfield defeated Archibald Peck: An entertaining opening match saw Dasher Hatfield, one-half of The Throwbacks along with Sugar Dunkerton, take on Archibald Peck who was accompanied by Veronica. Hatfield controlled most of the early action until Peck avoided a deathjump attempt. Peck followed up hitting the Cranial Crescendo for a big near fall and argued with the referee claiming it was a three count. That missed fall shook up Peck and Hatfield took full advantage coming back with the Baseball Slide and Underhand Pitch. Veronica went for a distraction but failed as Hatfield struck with the Suicide Squeeze, a Death Valley Bomb variation, to score the pin. Hatfield celebrated a popular victory with ringsiders as Veronica helped a bewildered Peck back to his feet.
2) The Batiri & Los Ice Creams defeated Jigsaw, Hallowicked, & 3.0: Atomicos action saw The Batiri (Obariyon & Kodama) team up with Los Ice Creams (El Hijo del Ice Cream & Ice Cream, Jr.) to take on the popular tecnicos foursome of Jigsaw, Hallowicked, and 3.0 (Scott "Jagged" Parker & "Big Magic" Shane Matthews). The action was all over the place in this one as both teams utilized the freestyle lucha libre rules to great effect. At one point it was everyone battling on the floor with Jigsaw coming off the top rope with a plancha aimed at Kodama. The rudos foursome of The Batiri and Los Ice Creams got the heat on Hallowicked for an extended stretch and scored near falls with the Flying DDT from Obariyon and a Sprinkle Bomb from Ice Cream, Jr. The duo of 3.0 showed some great offense in this one hitting both the Samoan Drop Neckbreaker and flap jack/power bomb combo. It came down to some action on the floor where Los Ice Creams executed El Asesino on Jigsaw and tossed him back inside where Kodama hit an Impaler Bulldog to score the pin. It was a tough loss for CHIKARA veteran Jigsaw, a former co-holder of the Campeonatos de Parejas with Mike Quackenbush, and afterward he challenged Los Ice Creams to face him and Hallowicked on the next card.
3) Claudio Castagnoli defeated Sugar Dunkerton: BDK member Claudio Castagnoli, accompanied by faction leader Ares, made a bold statement prior to this match with Throwbacks member Sugar Dunkerton. He vowed to finish off Dunkerton "with ease" and then said he had an ultimatum for CHIKARA Director of Fun The Dark Menace. Dunkerton took exception to the words directed toward him and went at Castagnoli full boar. Unfortunately for him it was a determined Castagnoli living up to his words. Dunkerton got in very little offense and fell to Castagnoli who executed a giant swing followed up by a Gut Wrench German Suplex to score the pin. Castagnoli then called The Dark Menace into the ring and said that one man has been "running from him" and has something he wants, the LOW Tex-Arkana Television title. He demanded that The Dark Menace give him his rightful title shot against the "War King" Eddie Kingston. The Dark Menace said he had no problem with that and announced the match, provided Kingston retains the title in an upcoming defense, for the next CHIKARA card in Chicago. Castagnoli and Ares seemed very pleased by that announcement and made the sign of the BDK before leaving the ring area.
4) Mike Quackenbush, Johnny Saint, & Gregory Iron vs. F.I.S.T. was a Draw: Amazing trios action here as Mike Quackenbush, Johnny Saint, & Gregory Iron took on F.I.S.T. (Icarus, Chuck Taylor, & Johnny Gargano) in a grudge match. This came about on the last CHIKARA card where Iron was confronted by F.I.S.T. and wound up recruiting Quackenbush and Saint as his partners to take them on in trios action. Quackenbush and Saint scored early with "Lightning" Mike catching Icarus in the Chikara Special while Saint countered a springboard moonsault by Taylor and executed the Johnny Saint Special for a big near fall. Taylor struck back later catching Quackenbush with Soul Food for a near fall. F.I.S.T. got the heat on Iron for an extended stretch which saw Icarus execute the Wings of Icarus for a submission chance before they teamed up for the F.I.S.T. Kicks on the "Handicapped Hero". Iron finally mounted a comeback and nearly pinned Taylor after executing Handicapped Parking. He then made the hot tag to Quackenbush who executed the Quackendriver and then caught Gargano with a dive over the ropes to the floor. Time was running out, though, and neither team was able to score a fall ending the match in a time limit draw. Neither side was happy with the result and challenges were tossed around resulting in a rematch being signed for the next CHIKARA card.
5) Tursas defeated Sara Del Ray: A battle of the BDK here as Sara Del Ray took on the massive 6'7" and 375-pound Tursas in a match set up by Tim Donst. With Donst being put "in charge" of Del Ray by Ares, he ordered her to face Tursas as a form of "punishment" for failing to stay in line with the BDK. Del Ray has been at odds with the group since Ares forced Daizee Haze into a losing situation eliminating her from the group and subsequently breaking up the friendship between the former LOW Women's tag team champions. Tursas dominated early executing the Kreuz Bomb, Black Hole Slam, and a Big Splash for a near fall. Del Ray bailed out of the ring and came back strong catching Tursas with an amazing release German Suplex and a power bomb. With Ares and Donst looking on from the Commentation Station, they were shocked as Del Ray executed the Royal Butterfly for a submission chance. Tursas escaped and came back strong including crush Del Ray with a splash against the ring post. Back inside it was Tursas coming off the second rope with a Diving Cross Body flattening Del Ray to score the pin. A jubilant Donst raced down to ringside and jumped into the arms of Tursas as BDK ring announcer Jakob Hammermeier proudly announced the winner of the match. Del Ray, meanwhile, rolled out of the ring and glared back at her tormentors knowing that she was still a part of the BDK.
6) PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match: Ultramantis Black defeated El Generico: A real war of attrition here saw Ultramantis Black, the head of The Order of the Neo Solar Temple, qualify for the tournament by beating El Generico. This one was give and take from start to finish with both men battling out of the ring to the floor several times. They were able to avoid a disqualification on more than one occasion. There were several near falls as well including a dramatic one when Generico hit the Brainbustaaahhh!!! only to have Ultramantis kick out with authority. Ultramantis then countered a vertical suplex power bomb attempt with a double knee backbreaker for a near fall. Both men executed nearly all of the moves in their arsenal going into the home stretch and, after Generico hit a 450 Splash for a near fall, Ultramantis struck back with an Argentine Facebuster. That left Generico in a dazed state and Ultramantis followed up with the Praying Mantis Bomb to score the pin. It was a dramatic conclusion to an epic battle that saw Ultramantis Black become the latest man to qualify for the prestigious tournament being held during WrestleCade VI weekend.
7) Loser Leaves CHIKARA Match: Daizee Haze defeated Tim Donst: An amazing result here as arrogant BDK member Tim Donst bit off more than he could chew losing to Daizee Haze in a match where the loser would have to leave CHIKARA. Fellow BDK members Ares, Claudio Castagnoli, Tursas, and ring announcer Jakob Hammermeier were all at ringside in support of Donst for this one. Haze got the early advantage striking with spin kicks and a forearm smash before Sara Del Ray showed up in the Commentation Station. She grabbed a house mic and called out Donst saying he was a "coward" and that distraction led to Haze hitting a Yakuza Kick to score the pin. The crowd erupted in cheers as Haze quickly escaped ringside and the potential wrath of the BDK as a disgusted Ares stared down Del Ray from the floor. Donst pounded the mat in frustration and was flipping out as Tursas pulled him out of the ring carrying him off to the back. With the BDK now down a member, Ares grabbed the mic and told Del Ray that she would have to face him on the next CHIKARA card with the same stipulation - Loser Leaves CHIKARA!
8) Campeonatos de Parejas: Sly Drury & Paralyze© defeated Osirian Portal (2-0) to retain the titles:
First Fall: This one started on the floor with defending champions Sly Drury & Paralyze, part of the Order of the Neo Solar Temple, jumping the Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian) but that backfired. The Portal was able to control most of the early action keying in on Drury. Ultramantis Black, meanwhile, looked on in frustration from the Commentation Station where he was joined by CHIKARA Director of Fun The Dark Menace on commentary. Drury mounted a comeback when he scored with the Crime Lord on Amasis for a big near fall. Paralyze then went on a strong offensive tear hitting the Torture Drop and Aethran Coup Cannon before catching Amasis with the Heart Transplant for another near fall. Ophidian came back strong for his team locking the much larger Paralyze in the Death Grip and catching him with the Duat Driver for a near fall. This one came down to Paralyze in there with Amasis and, after another Aethran Coup Cannon, he struck with Brute Force on the "Funky Pharaoh" to score the pin.
Second Fall: The beating that Amasis took toward the end of the first fall left him in a vulnerable state following the thirty second rest period. Drury and Paralyze took full advantage of the fact that he was the legal man and quickly put him on the defensive. After connecting on a double-team neckbreaker, Drury nailed Amasis with the Crime Lord and went for the pin but Ophidian made a last second save. Amasis was unable to make a tag, though, or even roll out of the ring which would have been a tag per lucha libre style rules recognized by CHIKARA. He mounted a brief comeback going for a diving cross body but Paralyze caught him and executed a Torture Drop to score the pin. It was a two straight fall defeat for the Osirian Portal and a huge victory for the Order of the Neo Solar Temple as they retained the titles.
(Notes: The Order of the Neo Solar Temple represented by Ultramantis Black and Campeonatos de Parejas Sly Drury & Paralyze came away with huge wins on this night. Faction leader Ultramantis Black is now headed to WrestleCade VI weekend by virtue of his hard fought win over El Generico in their PWI Invitational Cup Tournament Qualifying Match. The win means that he will face an equally nefarious foe in Heart Punch master Ox Baker in the first round. He spoke with PWI Editor Bill Apter following the match and said that he respects Baker but that by the power of the Eye of Tyr he will overcome the effects of the Heart Punch and go on to victory. He told Apter that not only would he defeat Baker but that he would go all the way to the finals and stand tall as the tournament winner at WrestleCade VI. As for Sly Drury & Paralyze, they retained the Campeonatos de Parejas in their version one defense turning back a serious challenge from the Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian). The crowd were in full support of the Portal but they were unable to take down Drury and Paralyze in the end. It was a most impressive win for the defending champions who await their next challenge...Speaking of challenges, BDK member Claudio Castagnoli will face the "War King" Eddie Kingston for the LOW Tex-Arkana Television title on the next CHIKARA card in Chicago, IL (Card #589), subtitled We're On A Mission From God. That is, of course, provided that Kingston retains the title against Genghis Khan on an upcoming MCW card in Memphis, TN (Card #584). Either way, CHIKARA Director of Fun The Dark Menace agreed to set up the championship match so Castagnoli will face either Kingston or Khan that night. The Dark Menace has also put together a huge supporting card that includes Frightmare challenging The Betrayer for the Young Lions Cup championship, Sara Del Ray vs. Ares in a Loser Leaves CHIKARA match, The Throwbacks vs. Mark & Jay Briscoe, Jigsaw & Hallowicked vs. Los Ice Creams, and a trios rematch with Mike Quackenbush, Johnny Saint, & Gregory Iron vs. F.I.S.T. (Icarus, Chuck Taylor, & Johnny Gargano). Saint, by the way, felt so strongly about returning for that match that he will miss a big GWA card at Royal Albert Hall in London, England (Card #588), to take the booking...and, a dejected Tim Donst was seen leaving the arena alone after his Loser Leaves CHIKARA loss to Daizee Haze. Donst lost both his spot in the BDK and his place on the CHIKARA roster but he is wished well in his future endeavors.)
