Wow- some hefty rosters there....you know I have my eyes on World Of Sport. I think there's 12 Brits in the game now, so certainly a good starting point.
I am constantly amazed how you find the time to roll and write such detailed shows was such huge rosters and scope. It's a real triumph.
Every territory has something to offer here. LOW All Star is one i'll be ordering the VHS for as well!

Solid looking rosters my friend and it'll be fun to see how they unfold both by the dice outcome and your booking. One team I want to rise up are the Midnight Rockers of Jannetty and Lane, plus I like the sound and roster line up of your Golden Age Wrestling territory...

Thanks for the comments Joebreakdown and Crimson. When you look it over it does appear to be hard to handle but somehow I am able to make it work. I try to get everyone involved in matches by cycling them over different shows. If I find something isn't working out I will make changes. joebreakdown: Thanks for the kind words. I hope that you will enjoy World of Sport. I have been a big fan of WOS and watch it both on DVD and Youtube. Since we have WOS match rules I had to find a way to build a fed around it and instead of renaming it something else I just went with WOS. You will see a World of Sport preview match on the next ASW show. I should note that since we don't have cards for Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks I went with King Kong Bundy and the One Man Gang as the alternatives as I wanted to have two big men on the roster. I guess you can tell which one is Big Daddy and which one is Giant Haystacks. You will get free VHS copies of ASW my friend and I also think that you will like the upcoming television broadcast for the IWA featuring favorites like Ron Hutchison, Bill White and Chavo Pequeno. @crimson Cross: I agree in that I want to see the Midnight Rockers have some success in the new setup. They did great in the AWE so I am hoping that will continue in the CWA but the competition is very strong. As for Golden Age Wrestling I have wanted to do something like that for years and finally jumped at the chance to group those guys together. I am really excited for this new direction.

What great matches on your Wrestlecade X and Tokyo Dome cards! There was so much action, each match was a really great read! I like your little recaps of the background before matches which helps build up and hype the action.
Particularly excited about Golden Age Wrestling and of course World of Sport - a great mix of characters there, including the lovely Jervis Cottonbelly! As you know, Mike Graham is a favourite and I will be watching WOS closely to see whether he draws a dime.

Those rosters are stacked!!! Each seems to have a great mix of good guys, bad guys, upper/mid/lower card talent, etc. I too am looking forward to seeing how things play out. I wish I had the creative energy/organization skills to run a HUGE fed like this with several promotions. Reading yours certainly does make me wonder, and think about trying it sometime!
I for one am specifically excited for the IWA as it has some of my personal favorites such as Diamond Dallas Page, Rob Van Dam, and Bryan Danielson.

The Tokyo Dome show was a phenomenal treat... Especially enjoyed the acrobatic encounter between Tiger Mask and Will Ospreay... Both of those competitors proving that they are at the top of their game... And watching Styles vs Inoki go to a time limit draw was very exciting... The Bullet Club are determined to make a name for themselves in KRU, but I think they'll meet plenty of adversity along the way...
Excellent job on the rosters going into the ground breaking eleventh year of your multi-promotional wrestling league... Can't wait to see what the future holds, my friend... Awesome work!

Thanks very much for the comments Kat Rana, Ceo and Pariah. Now that the Tokyo Dome is in the books I bring you this Saturday edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling featuring some big announcements and of course plenty of action. I hope you enjoy it...
LOW All-Star Wrestling (Episode 59) - WMC-TV5 Studios - Memphis, TN (Card #1002)
The broadcast opened with a video montage of WrestleCade X weekend, including both the IWA and Tokyo Dome cards, set to G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) by The Cult. Some of the great history making moments airing included Bruiser Brody beating Randy Savage in their Loser Leaves LOW match inside of a Barbed Wire Steel Cage, Johnny Valentine retaining the LOW World Heavyweight title beating Bobo Brazil, Andre the Giant remaining undefeated by beating Mil Mascaras, and Rikidozan winning the LOW International Heavyweight title from Ilio DiPaolo. Announcers Lance Russell and Dave Brown then welcomed the studio audience and the home viewers for what they anticipated to be one of the biggest broadcasts in the history of LOW All-Star Wrestling. Brown noted that both LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox and IWA Commissioner David Marquez would be hand for special interviews to announce some major news including the full tournament lineup for the upcoming King of Trios event. Russell then wanted to get to the talent appearing on the broadcast when he was interrupted by an old familiar voice speaking through a megaphone – the “Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart!
LR: “Oh boy Dave, look who is back. I don’t know what you are even doing out here Jimmy as you are not listed anywhere on the lineup for today.”
JH: “Ha Ha Ha, you know what Lance I just I have to tell you that this is the greatest day of my life! I am here today to reveal just where I will be managing next and also who I will be managing as the First Family has been revitalized with an infusion of superstar talent, baby!”
LR: “Ok Jimmy we don’t have all day so who or what are going to be a part of your new First Family?”
JH: “Take it easy, banana nose, I can take all of the time I want because I am the “Mouth of the South” and these people pay to listen to me talk. We go back many years, Lance…”
LR: “Yeah ok, don’t remind me…”
JH: “Ha Ha Ha, baby, you remember the good old days I’m sure and I’m here to say that happy days are here again, baby! I have secured a contract with Pacific Coast Wrestling and after days of negotiations I have signed an incredible array of talent to head up my new First Family. I just happened to catch a miscarriage of justice that took place at WrestleCade X and after giving it some thought I figured why not bring a real family into the First Family? I saw what those rotten Armstrong’s tried to pull that day, even getting disqualified, and I have now signed contracts to manage the real true first family of professional wrestling – Tommy, Eddie and Doug Gilbert baby now can you believe that?”
LR: “I know for a fact that “Bullet” Bob Armstrong and B.G. James are not here today and I sense that you guys are going to try and pull a fast one like attack Brad Armstrong in one of those three or four on one situations. You will never change Jimmy, by golly.”
JH: “Ha Ha Ha, Russell, you don’t know anything as I have faith in my men and Doug Gilbert is here on his own today to take out that goof Brad Armstrong and look Doug is in the ring right now so let’s get this one over with, baby!”
LR: “I don’t buy it for a minute but just get over to ringside Jimmy and let’s see how fair you play this one. As for the rest of the card here is Dave with the rundown.”
DB: “Thanks Lance and we have a full slate of action on tap today beginning with Brad Armstrong vs. Doug Gilbert and in our main event we have huge six-man tag team action as Hacksaw Jim Duggan & The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) take on Jim Cornette’s Midnight Express trio of Dennis Condrey, Bobby Eaton and Randy Rose. Also in action today we have the return to action of the Killer Bees (Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell), the mysterious Missing Link now under the management of J.J. Dillon, the death defying Sabu and a match held under World of Sport rules which should be a real treat. Without any further ado let’s throw it over to ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta for the introductions to our opening match.”
1) Doug Gilbert defeated Brad Armstrong: This one got off to a fast start as Brad Armstrong jumped “Dangerous” Doug Gilbert, accompanied by Jimmy Hart, as Gilbert tried to intimidate ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta during the introductions. Armstrong was in control for a good stretch until Gilbert thwarted a powerslam and hit the DDT. With Hart shouting from ringside through his megaphone, much to the annoyance of Russell, Gilbert scored with a superkick and sit out bodyslam. Armstrong battled back but then lost control as the two battled out on the floor. Gilbert then hit the Top Rope Shoulder Ram for a two count. Hart complained about a slow count distracting the referee and that led to Tommy Gilbert showing up at ringside. He slapped Armstrong in the face and that turned him around right into another Top Rope Shoulder Ram by Gilbert resulting in the pin. Hart cackled at ringside as Tommy joined Doug in a post-match beatdown on Armstrong. The referee finally got them to leave and Armstrong went to the announce table after a commercial break and delivered a fiery promo saying that he wanted Tommy and Doug in a tag team match on the next PCW card. It was later announced that indeed it will be Bob & Brad Armstrong taking on Tommy & Doug Gilbert in Portland, OR (Card #1005).
2) Killer Bees defeated Dupae Rupa & Larry Sharpe: The studio audience cheered the arrival of the Killer Bees (Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell) as they hit the ring to take on “The Belgian Brawler” Dupae Rupa & “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe. The Bees have signed on with the CWA after a long time apart competing in different promotions and they aspire to work their way up to a shot at the LOW World tag team titles. Rupa and Sharpe, the former SSA, Inc. leader in PCW who has resumed his in-ring career with ASW, looked good early as they got the heat on Blair. It was a counter by Blair on Sharpe that set up the Bees comeback and he wound up pinning the “Pretty Boy” after he and Brunzell caught him with the double elbow smash. It was a nice return win for the Bees and both Russell and Brown said that it was good to see them back together again.
● Interview – LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox: Lance Russell went to ringside and introduced LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox who was warmly received by the studio audience. Russell congratulated Cox for all of his hard work that resulted in a spectacular WrestleCade X weekend. Cox thanked him but said that all of that wouldn’t have been possible without all of the great fans and the people behind the scenes that make everything run so smooth. He also of course gave credit to all of that great talent that excelled on the big stage making it a memorable event. Russell asked him what was next for LOW, especially with a new era headed up by the Capitol Wrestling Alliance and some brand new promotions including World of Sport which would be featured in an upcoming match on the broadcast. Cox said that there are plenty of exciting things coming up especially in the CWA and Pacific Coast Wrestling and he revealed some major title matches that have been signed:
● Baltimore Arena – Baltimore, MD (Card #1003): Road Warriors© vs. Steve Williams & Terry Gordy for the LOW World tag team titles ● Bayfront Center – St. Petersburg, FL (Card #1004): Danny Hodge© vs. Jerry Lynn for the LOW Junior Heavyweight title ● Bayfront Center – St. Petersburg, FL (Card #1004): Dan Severn vs. Johnny Valentine© for the LOW World Heavyweight title ● Portland Sports Arena – Portland, OR (Card #1005): Dutch Savage vs. Roderick Strong© for the LOW Tex-Arkana Television title ● Portland Sports Arena – Portland, OR (Card #1005): Rikidozan© vs. Fred Blassie for the LOW International Heavyweight title
Cox added that the sports entertainment brand 8MW, or 80’s Mania Wrestling, would have their debut card at The Ballroom (Card #1006) featuring Ace Arcadium challenging Jet Set Strutter for the 8MW World Heavyweight title. Russell chimed in about that being “a whole lotta action” and Cox agreed and reminded him that World of Sport would debut at Town Hall in Leeds, England (Card #1022) and Golden Age Wrestling would have their debut in Des Moines, IA (Card #1027). Before concluding the interview Cox said that a videotape had been sent in by Fred Blassie so Russell threw it a pre-recorded interview from the “King of Men”:
FB: “Listen up all you pencil neck geeks I am headed home to the west coast to join Pacific Coast Wrestling and I couldn’t be happier. My first night in I am going to be challenging Rikidozan, who I defeated last year at the Tokyo Dome, for the LOW International Heavyweight title in the main event where I justifiably should be every night. I just had one of the biggest wins of my career at WrestleCade X beating that bum Blackjack Mulligan for the PWI Invitational Cup and now I will add the International title to my list of great accomplishments. After I beat that other bum Rikidozan for the title I will do what no one else has done and hold both the LOW World Heavyweight and International titles at the same time, I will be the “champeen of champeens”! There is going to be no stopping the “King of Men” and you can take that to the bank!”
3) The Missing Link defeated Lanny Poffo: The popular “Leaping” Lanny Poffo made his return to the ASW roster, where he competed as “The Genius” in the past, and took on the dangerous Missing Link who was accompanied by his new manager J.J. Dillon. It has been a long time since the Link has been seen in Low but Dillon, looking to make a splash in the CWA, has added him to a stable of talent that includes Big John Studd, Angelo “King Kong” Mosca and Ox Baker. Poffo looked good early and even hit the Sky Drop but the Link powered out at the count of one. The Link battled back and with Dillon distracting the referee he blasted Poffo with a wild chair shot resulting in the pin. The Link then slammed the chair into his own head multiple times post-match as Dillon did his best to lead him back to the locker room.
4) World of Sport Rules: Tommy End defeated David Taylor (1-0): It was time for a unique presentation as World of Sport was featured with David Taylor of England taking on Tommy End of the Netherlands. In World of Sport there are generally six five minute rounds with a winner being decided by two falls (pins or submissions), a knockout or by a disqualification or count out. With the rules out of the way it was time for action – seconds away, round one. From the opening round it was easy to see how competitive World of Sport can be. Both men came close to getting a fall before End went up 1-0 in round two scoring a pin with the Elohim combination, a wicked delivery of a spinning back elbow and spin kicks. End took over in the next round scoring a near fall with the vertical drop brainbuster. Taylor staged a late comeback in round five scoring a big near fall with a European uppercut after using a sleeper hold. It looked like he might score an equalizing fall in round six with the British Suplex but somehow End kicked out just before the three count. It ended up going the distance of six rounds and due to the 1-0 score the victory was awarded to End. Russell and Brown applauded the work of both men in the bout and said that World of Sport has great potential and that it definitely brings a unique brand of action to LOW.
5) Sabu defeated Lash Leroux: The “Rajin Cajun” Lash Leroux, formerly of PCW, made his debut on the ASW roster taking on the “Homicidal, Suicidal, and Genocidal” Sabu who was accompanied by his manager Abdullah Farouk. Leroux is a very capable opponent but on this night he was overmatched by Sabu who blitzed him from the opening bell. Sabu hit the slingshot legdrop and then quickly followed up with a Huracanrana to score the pin. Farouk stopped by the announce table afterward to say that Sabu has been reunited with his uncle, the “noble” Sheik, and the greatest manager in professional wrestling and as a result he will become a force unleashed on all of LOW. He also said that through his great managerial skill he had procured a spot for Sabu in the upcoming Rey de Voladores event as part of IWA King of Trios weekend and that there is no doubt that Sabu will take his rightful place at the top as the true King of the high flyers.
● Interview – IWA Commissioner David Marquez: Dave Brown went to ringside and introduced IWA Commissioner David Marquez who was joined by IWA ring announcer Gavin Loudspeaker. Marquez started off with a huge announcement that the IWA will be having their own television broadcast before select IWA cards called On The Mat and that the first broadcast will take place at the Wonderland Ballroom in Revere, MA (Card #1019). Brown congratulated him on the big news but Marquez interjected and said that there was even bigger news as the broadcast will feature Loudspeaker on play-by-play and none other than the “Macho Man” Randy Savage on color commentary. The studio audience went crazy over that announcement as Savage, who lost to Bruiser Brody in a Loser Leaves LOW match at WrestleCade X, will have a chance to stay involved in things from the broadcast table. Marquez said that Savage was unsure about the move but was given a guarantee that he could return to in-ring action with the IWA and that was what got him to accept it. He said that the IWA is proud to have Savage come on board and that once he is cleared to do so his in-ring return will take place in an IWA ring. Brown said the news doesn’t get any bigger than that but he also knows that upcoming for the IWA is the annual King of Trios event. Marquez said that this year the IWA has gone scouting all over the world for talent and that there will be some incredible teams and match-ups in the tournament. With that a video aired to show the match lineups for Night One taking place at the Palmer Center in Easton, PA (Card #1008):
â—Ź Da Soul Touchaz (Acid Jaz, Marshe Rockett, & Willie Richardson) vs. Devastation Corporation (Max Smashmaster, Flex Rumblecrunch, & Blaster McMassive) â—Ź Rule Britannia (Johnny Saint, David Taylor, & Zack Sabre Jr.) vs. The Shield (Jon Moxley, Tyler Black, & Drew Galloway) â—Ź Jolly Old Chaps (Jervis Cottonbelly, Colt Cabana, & Dasher Hatfield) vs. Loaded For Bear (Jay Briscoe, Mark Briscoe, & Mikey O'Shea) â—Ź Bullet Club (Adam Cole & Young Bucks) vs. 3.Ole (Scott Parker, Shane Matthews, & El Generico) â—Ź Where's The Beef? (Cheeseburger, Colin Delaney, & Grizzly Redwood) vs. Project VAL (Jay Lethal, Austin Aries, & Moose) â—Ź The Colony (Fire Ant, Soldier Ant, & Green Ant) vs. The Baltic Siege (Estonian Thunderfrog, Lithuanian Snow Troll, Latvian Proud Oak) â—Ź Evolving Honor (Nigel McGuinness, Johnny Gargano, & Timothy Thatcher) vs. We Are CHIKARA (Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw, & Hallowicked) â—Ź House of Truth (Delirious, Rhino, & Matt Taven) vs. Fear The Beards (Bryan Danielson, Matt Cross, & Necro Butcher)
Brown said that looking at that lineup it would be hard to choose a winner but that he liked The Shield (Moxley, Black and Galloway) and defending champions House of Truth (Delirious, Rhino and Taven). Loudspeaker chimed in and said that he was going all out by picking Where’s The Beef? (Cheeseburger, Delaney and Redwood) to win it all. Marquez said he had to remain impartial but that the field is wide open. He then threw it to video revealing additional matches for the other nights:
IWA King of Trios - Night Two - Goodwill Fire Association Hall - Reading, PA (Card #1009):
● Los Primos Rivera vs. The All Night Express ● Rey De Voladores - Match One: Ricochet vs. Samuray Del Sol vs. Brian Kendrick vs. Sabu ● Rey De Voladores - Match Two: Paul London vs. Tiger Mask vs. ACH vs. Will Ospreay ● IWA J-Crown title: Bobby Fish vs. Chuck Taylor©
IWA King of Trios - Night Three - The 2300 Arena - Philadelphia, PA (Card #1010):
● Eddie Edwards vs. Davey Richards ● Table Match: Rob Van Dam vs. Adam Pearce ● IWA tag team titles: Osirian Portal© vs. Kings of Wrestling ● Rey De Voladores Finals ● IWA Heavyweight title - Fight Without Honor: Michael Elgin© vs. Kevin Steen ● KOT Final Round
6) Midnight Express defeated The Fantastics & Hacksaw Jim Duggan: The main event saw The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) and Hacksaw Jim Duggan team up to take on the Jim Cornette-led Midnight Express trio of “Loverboy” Dennis Condrey, “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton and “Ravishing” Randy Rose. This match was set up at WrestleCade X when Duggan made a surprise return to LOW saving The Fantastics from a four-on-two post-match attack. Both teams were fired up during the introductions while an antsy Cornette hid behind his men as he was stalked by Duggan with his 2x4. Once the match got underway it was clear that Cornette was going to involve himself in one way or another. After Fulton bailed out of the ring at one point he was hit in the back with the tennis racquet by Cornette and that nearly resulted in a count out decision. Duggan then chased after Cornette who managed to escape through a side door of the studio. He would return later on but was very wary of getting near ringside while Duggan was on the apron. This was a fiercely contested bout that ended when the Express caught Fulton with the Veg-O-Matic and Rose covered him to score the pin while Eaton and Condrey prevented a save from being made. Cornette was ecstatic running over to the announce table to celebrate when suddenly he screamed and ran off as Duggan yelled “Hyooooooo!” and came at him with the 2x4. The Express quickly followed their manager to the back as the broadcast came to an end.

The first few cards of the new structure looked top notch. King of Trios should be a blast.

First things first... I have to thank you for bringing that new release by The Cult to my attention... They are one of my all-time favorite bands and I had no idea that this album even existed... WOW!
World of Sport is going to make for an interesting addition to the LOW family... Always cool to see The End put on a high impact show like he did against Taylor...
Tons of great announcements too... Randy Savage joining the IWA roster is an exciting development... And I'm loving the scheduled lineup for KoT... Although Dave Brown would be correct that The Shield and the House of Truth are definitely huge threats to take it all, I have to offer my support to Fear the Beards - Danielson, Cross & Butcher...
The main event was a lot of fun... Which is always to be expected whenever Hacksaw Jim Duggan is involved... "HYOoooooo!"
Superb start to another year!
