Thanks very much for the comments Bookerbill, Pariah and Crimson. The KRU tours are always fun to do and that was the earliest one I ever ran in a calendar year now that I have expanded it to four tours. The Bullet Club has indeed gotten stronger with Kenny Omega joining the group. You never know the "Hangman" may not be far behind as Pariah astutely noted. Matt Riddle was a revelation on this tour and I am hoping for big things from him on future KRU Events. Power Surge, coming out of the KRU dojo courtesy of my good friend Crimson, have also looked great in their KRU matches. I hope to have the PCW show (Blassie vs. Tolos) posted soon and then after that it will be MSG with Andre the Giant challenging Johnny Valentine for the LOW World Heavyweight title. I am still worried about the possibility of Andre winning the title but we shall see where the dice take us.

I am still worried about the possibility of Andre winning the title but we shall see where the dice take us. I don't play B&W Legends, so I've never seen his card... But, your expressions of worry are enough to let me know just how awesome Andre must be... Can't wait for that title match!

If anyone can derail the Giant it is Valentine.

Thanks for the comments Pariah and Bookerbill. The Andre card puts him among the elite in the game where he should be and defensively he is very strong. He is legit undefeated for me but I must say that he has been fortunate not to have been a victim of snake eyes. The only losses on his record are tag team losses or technical decisions. I will have to research his losses to see how many direct ones he has, especially if there are any via count out. I should be rolling up that match soon so we will see if Johnny Valentine can survive this huge threat to his title reign. Next up is action from PCW, I hope you enjoy it...
LOW Pacific Coast Wrestling - Seattle Center Arena - Seattle, WA (Card #1015)
1) Mildred Burke, Ida Mae Martinez & Tina Moretti defeated Judy Martin, Joyce Grable & Trinity Denucci: The Ring Angels division of LOW was featured in the opening bout as Mildred Burke, Ida Mae Martinez & Tina Moretti took on Judy Martin, Joyce Grable & Trinity Denucci. The crowd was treated to a great bout as all six women got in some nice offense throughout. The often underrated Denucci really shined even holding her own against Burke, a two-time SHIMMER champion. Seattle’s own Tina Moretti received a great reaction from the crowd whenever she was in and at one point she hit a dropkick on Grable setting up a jumping knee by Burke for a near fall. Martin nearly won it when she avoided a deathjump by Martinez and executed a splash for a near fall. The finishing sequence of a hard fought match saw Burke rough up Denucci on the outside before tagging Martinez who delivered her trademark Dropkick to score the pin.
2) Playboy Buddy Rose defeated Scott Casey: The popular “Cowboy” Scott Casey out of Bulverde, TX, took on the equally unpopular Playboy Buddy Rose, who is the cornerstone of Sherri Sports Agency, Inc. which is led by his girlfriend Sherri Martel, a record eight-time SHIMMER champion. Martel was at ringside and gave Rose a pre-match kiss for good luck drawing jeers from the crowd. The very capable Casey seemed a little off of his game as Rose was able to dominate a good portion of the match. He scored a submission with a half Boston Crab and punished Casey hitting the DDT several times. He also resorted to using a foreign object, believed to be a pair of brass knuckles, but credit Casey for kicking out before the three count. The finish saw both men go down from a double clothesline off of the ropes but Rose recovered first and hit the Bombs Away to score the pin. A jubilant Martel ran into the ring and shoved the referee aside so she could hold up the arm of Rose in victory.
3) Masked Superstar defeated Sam Houston: Another popular star from Texas, Sam Houston, saw action as he took on the rugged Masked Superstar formerly of Kings Road United. The veteran masked man is looking to make his mark in PCW and he looked very impressive here. He used his strength and size advantage to keep Houston on the defensive for a good stretch. The determined Houston fought out of two submission holds, the sleeper hold and the Cobra Hold, and had the fans cheering him on but he was unable to mount a big counter attack. The Superstar got the win when he laid out Houston and connected with a Flying Bodypress to score the pin.
4) Texas Hangmen defeated Tugboat & Chaz Taylor by DQ: The father-and-son team of Tugboat & Chaz Taylor had a tough draw in their PCW debut going against the Texas Hangmen (Killer & Psycho) who are part of Sherri Sports Agency, Inc. Sherri Martel accompanied the Hangmen to ringside and tried to make a pass at Chaz during the ring introductions but Tugboat stepped in between them. Martel then whispered instructions to the Hangmen and returned to the back leaving her men to go it alone. The Hangmen were brutal in their attack on Tugboat leaving the 325-pounder in a bad way for a good stretch. They even managed to hit the Hangmen Backbreaker on him for a big near fall. Tugboat rallied briefly and hit a big splash on Killer but was unable to make a tag. This one ended up on the outside where Tugboat, frustrated over the repeated assaults from the Hangmen, grabbed a chair and hit both men with it resulting in the disqualification decision. Chaz had to restrain his dad from continuing to use the weapon as the Hangmen headed to the back with a technical victory.
The Hangmen then returned to ringside accompanied by both Martel and Playboy Buddy Rose. They surrounded the ring as Rose grabbed the mic and verbally tore into Chaz claiming that he had “made a pass” at Sherri though clearly the opposite had taken place. Tugboat told Chaz to stand down and held up his chair threatening the SSA, Inc. members to take action but LOW officials got involved making sure that things ended peacefully. Rose did, however, issue a challenge to Chaz to face him in a singles match and that was indeed signed for the next PCW card in San Diego, CA (Card #1025).
5) B.G. James defeated Eddie Gilbert by DQ: The explosive family warfare between the Armstrong’s and the Gilbert’s continued in this one-on-one match between B.G. James and “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert. The outspoken Gilbert grabbed the mic before the match and claimed that James, who formerly teamed with Kip James in the New Age Outlaws, was not a real member of the Armstrong family. He said that he was a “bastard child” that “brought shame to the family” which is why he has to use a different last name. A fired up James then hit the ring ready for battle. James battered Gilbert in the early going including hitting the James Gang Pounce for a two count. Gilbert battled back stunning James with the piledriver and neckbreaker clothesline. A DDT by Gilbert resulted in a two count before James struck back with another James Gang Pounce and his own DDT. The Pump Handle Slam by James resulted in a big near fall. James then went for the move again but Doug Gilbert hit the ring making the save for his brother. James got the win via disqualification but was double-teamed by Eddie and Doug until Brad Armstrong hit the ring with a chair making the save.
6) LOW Junior Heavyweight title: Jerry Lynn© defeated Tom Prichard to retain the title: The LOW Junior Heavyweight title was on the line as Jerry Lynn defended the title against Dr. Tom Prichard, a member of Sherri Sports Agency, Inc. Both Playboy Buddy Rose and Sherri Martel accompanied Prichard to ringside but were ordered to the back by the referee in order to prevent outside interference. Prichard protested that decision but after conferring with Rose and Martel he appeared confident as he prepared for the match. Lynn took that confidence away, though, as he dominated most of the early going including hitting the Cradle Piledriver for a big near fall. A second Cradle Piledriver almost ended it but Prichard got his foot over the bottom rope to break up the pin. Prichard found an opening and began working over Lynn including striking with the enzuigiri and the slingshot suplex. Things were looking good for the Houston, TX, native until Lynn reversed things after a battle on the outside. A guillotine legdrop was followed by a Sunset Flip Power Bomb resulting in Lynn scoring the pin and retaining the title in his version one defense.
7) Don Muraco, The Grappler & Ray Stevens defeated Mil Mascaras, Tony Atlas & Pepper Gomez: Feature six-man tag team action saw the official PCW debut of Mil Mascaras as he joined forces with “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas & Pepper Gomez to do battle with the Sir Oliver Humperdink managed team of “The Magnificent” Don Muraco, The Grappler and Ray “The Crippler” Stevens. PCW scored a major coup when they signed Mascaras, a record seven-time LOW World Heavyweight champion, to a contract in the days following WrestleCade X. The early exchange between Mascaras and Muraco was well received by the crowd. Both men showed why they are considered in the upper echelon of talent in LOW. Humperdink had his men working like a well oiled machine as at one point they kept Atlas in the ring for quite some time. Muraco planted Atlas with the Hawaiian Hammer but was late in covering resulting in only a two count. Atlas finally battled back and made the tag to Gomez but he also fell pray to the opposition. The turning point came when Gomez caught Stevens in the sleeper hold and made a tag to Mascaras. The legendary masked man went to the top rope, presumably to deliver his trademark Flying Bodypress, but Humperdink distracted the referee allowing The Grappler to crotch mascaras on the top rope. Stevens then slammed Mascaras off the top and executed the Bombs Away to score the pin as Muraco and The Grappler prevented a save from being made. It was a disappointing PCW debut for Mascaras and a huge win for Humperdink and his men.
8) John Tolos defeated Fred Blassie: The main event was a heated grudge match with the “King of Men” Fred Blassie taking on the “Golden Greek” John Tolos. The legendary rivalry between these two men was renewed on the last PCW card in Portland, OR, when Tolos assaulted Blassie ruining his match with LOW International Heavyweight champion Rikidozan. It set off a fire in Blassie and has resulted in the PCW fans actually siding with the often arrogant two-time former LOW World Heavyweight champion. Tolos, on the other hand, could care less about crowd support and called out Blassie on calling himself the “King of Men”. Tolos tried to jump Blassie at ringside but that backfired and he was sent head first into the timekeeper’s table. Blassie then went on an offensive tear and scored a two count with a cover after using a blatant choke hold. He followed up with the Southern Neckbreaker and went for the pin but Tolos got his foot over the bottom rope to break it up. Tolos began battling back and used the very punishing corkscrew to great effect. He also hit a standing knee drop resulting in a two count. A series of battles on the outside saw both men the worse for wear. It was not a surprise that the end came as a result of an outside ring attack only it didn’t come from Tolos. After tossing Blassie to the outside it was Tolos distracting the referee as none other than “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and his bodyguard, “The Ace” Cowboy Bob Orton, showed up and put the boots to Blassie. Orton then sent Blassie head first into the ring post and tossed him back inside where Tolos hit the Flying Knee Drop to score the pin. The crowd jeered the decision and post-match it turned into a three-on-one situation until Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka ran down carrying a chair which sent Piper, Orton and Tolos running. Snuka and Blassie then had a stare down in the ring before shaking hands to a big cheer from the crowd. It was later learned that Blassie and Snuka will team up to face Piper and Tolos on the next PCW Card in San Diego, CA (Card #1025) in what is sure to be a wild tag team match.

Wow...a grudge match indeed for the main event- those guys HATE each other. I must say I'm a little surprised with a Tolos victory and I can never come to terms with seeing Blassie as a face. Very much looking forward to the tag showdown in San Diego!
Elsewhere on the card, I was pleased to see Lynn pick up the victory, albeit after a tough encounter with Dr Tom and a sentimental victory (to me) for 'The Playboy.'
As always, every match from top to bottom was fab. It's hard to keep up with the level of competition in the LOW but I do think Pacific Coast has my favourite talent, so i'll be sure to catch a live show or two when I can!

I like the heat going on with Tolos and Blassie, plus Tolos winning was cool to see. I really like the family war between the Armstrongs and Gilberts, but I really liked Muraco, Grappler and Stevens getting that victory...

Truly pleased to see Jerry Lynn retain in his version one defense... Lots of great competition out there, but it would be cool to see him have a healthy reign...
Anytime Hot Rod shows up in the ring, you know sparks are going to fly... The conclusion to the main event was a great lead-in for one helluva tag match... Blassie teaming up with Superfly is something I never expected to see... Interested to see how they function together against Tolos and Piper...
Awesome stuff!

Thanks for the comments Joebreakdown, Crimson, Kat Rana and Pariah. I am kind of going with Fred Blassie as a tweener but I am also using his real life past as he was a face in the Los Angeles territory during his feud with John Tolos in the early 1970's. Blassie is still his same rulebreaking self except that now he is competing against guys like Tolos and Roddy Piper. I admit that Blassie and Jimmy Snuka is an unlikely pair but they have mutual enemies so it kind of works out.
I was happy that Jerry Lynn retained the LOW Junior Heavyweight title, mainly because that belt changes hands a lot, so I'm hoping that his new color card will help him build a solid title run. The Armstrong's vs. The Gilbert's has been a lot of fun and I think that rivalry has some legs to it. Mil Mascaras eating the pin in his PCW debut was a major shock to me but it was also cool to see Ray Stevens get the win there.
When I was deciding what feds to keep in place as I entered the new year I was determined to keep PCW as I loved the Pacific Northwest, San Francisco and L.A. territories growing up and I am happy you guys enjoy it as well.
