Bullet Club capture the headlines once again... Only this time, it's absolutely nothing to be proud of... Pure misery is the only way to define their state coming out of this most recent KRU offering from the Seibu Dome... Gotta wonder if this might result in a few shakeups within their membership... Could be interesting... Thoroughly enjoyed the World of Sport matchup between Shynron and ZSJr... The proposed rematch should be a real treat... And as mentioned already by our friend, Crimson Cross, it was very cool that Forve & Pope managed to end the undefeated streak of Spivey & Bernard - quite the accomplishment... My favorite was the extreme showdown between Masada and Sick Nick... The bookers could not have made better selections for the very first No Ropes Barbed Wire Match... Bloody and brutal! Very pleased that Mondo emerged victorious as well.. Your promotion continues to be an endless source of entertainment and inspiration... As I prepare to embark on my own very first attempt at a mixed era fed - just want to let you know how much I appreciate you taking the time to share your efforts, my friend... Thank you... It's absolutely awesome!

Thanks for the comments Troy, Crimson and Pariah. I agree that it was not a good night for the Bullet Club at the Seibu Dome, although AJ Styles put in an excellent performance against Johnny Valentine. He came very close to winning the world title in that match. As for the ten-man tag losing both Omega and Cole early I felt really hurt the chances for BC. It was perhaps fitting, though, as the BC finally got some payback for all of the injuries they have caused in KRU.
I have been really impressed by Power Surge and it is cool having these cards as part of my KRU fed. They may even be in line for a shot at the LOW World tag team titles coming off of that win. Mondo vs. Masada was sick and I loved it! The No Rope Barbed Wire match rules worked well and this may be the start of having CZW guys regularly tour KRU. In contrast the World of Sport match was also fun and I was surprised when Shynron won it but that paved way for the rematch to take place in England.
I am still recovering from rolling out both the IWA and KRU shows and having just gotten my legends color cards so I don't have the next show ready yet. That will be the next edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling and with any luck I will have it posted sometime this weekend. Thanks as always for commenting on my fed.

I am glad to read you wrote that the no rope barbed wire match rules I wrote for the last CZW set worked well for you Cruefan68! I think that match also works well for LOW Feds too. Now that I am back to playing LOW again I look forward to reading your fed results more regularly again!

Thanks for the nice comments Vegas and no doubt that No Rope Barbed Wire Match was really fun to roll out. You did a great job on the match and I look forward to holding more in the future. It has also inspired me to use some more CZW guys when I can fit them in most likely on KRU tours. Next up is the latest installment of LOW All-Star Wrestling on this holiday weekend, hope you enjoy it...
LOW All-Star Wrestling (Episode 64) - WMC-TV5 Studios - Memphis, TN (Card #1051)
The sounds of Thunderstruck by AC/DC powered through the show open and into a video compilation of the major events taking place at IWA Supercard of Honor II (Card #1049 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX) and the Kings Road United card at the Seibu Dome (Card #1050) held during Golden Week in Japan. Highlights which included Ricochet beating Matt Cross for the IWA J-Crown title, Randy Savage earning an IWA contract by defeating Kevin Steen in a Ladder Match, Mark & Jay Briscoe winning the IWA tag team titles from the Kings of Wrestling and Johnny Valentine beating AJ Styles to retain the LOW World Heavyweight title. Announcers Lance Russell and Dave Brown also discussed the events that unfolded on those two historic nights and said it was hard to believe that half a year had gone by in LOW already. Russell then attempted to get to the events taking place on the broadcast when there was an interruption by SSA, Inc. leader Sherri Martel and The Mountie.
LR: “By golly can we just once get this show underway without all of these interruptions.”
SM” “Shut up Lance Russell and give me that microphone. I flew all the way down here from PCW along with The Mountie for one reason and that one reason is one Mr. Blackjack Mulligan, the new LOW Tex-Arkana Television champion. You see ever since Mulligan won that belt, or should I say stole it from Roderick Strong, I have been trying to get my man a title shot and have not heard one word back from Mr. Mulligan or LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox. Now I know that Mulligan is booked here today to defend that title and we are demanding that the shot goes to SSA, Inc., or more importantly The Mountie!”
LR: “Ok, Ok Mrs. Martel you are right that Mulligan will be here today however I have it on good authority that his first title defense will not be against The Mountie but against other suitable competition.”
SM: “Are you kidding me, Lance Russell? Who is more suited for this opportunity than The Mountie? This is a damn joke and I should have known when they sent us the contract to take on that “Birdman” Koko, or whatever you call him, that they were trying to prevent The Mountie from getting his just due. I’ll tell you what we will take that match against Koko and make an example out of him. Then we will come out and get in Mulligan’s face and see if he has the guts to put his title on the line against the true number one contender. Here, take your microphone back.”
LR: “Wow, Dave, that is one angry woman and I’m glad she is outta here along with The Mountie and that shock stick. Let’s get on with the, oh no now what are you guys doing out here. J.C. Ice and Wolfie D, PG-13, we don’t even have you on the schedule for today’s show.”
JCI: “Russell, you banana nosed poor excuse for an announcer, PG-13 is always on the schedule so get with the program. We are out here for one reason and that is to play a game of rock, paper, scissors for you see one of us has been awarded the contract for the LOW Tex-Arkana Television title match against “Black-jerk Mulligan” that is taking place today.”
LR: “You may want to rephrase that because look who is arriving here from the side door, just in off his flight from El Paso, TX.”
BJM: “Howdy, Lance, and I see these two scrawny guys are invoking my name and saying that they want a title shot. You don’t need to play a silly game as I will defend the title against both of you at the same time.”
PG-13 squared up against Mulligan but Russell got in between the three men and said that the title match calls for only one challenger. PG-13 began arguing with each other over who would take the shot when suddenly Wolfie D backed off and wished his partner good luck. J.C. Ice looked on in shock when he realized that it would be him getting the title shot in a one-on-one match. Mulligan extended his gloved claw hand and said “good luck, kid” but Ice bailed racing to the back. Russell thanked Mulligan for putting a stop to all of the shenanigans and wished him luck but Mulligan said he didn’t need any luck just his Claw. With that it was time for Dave Brown to give the show rundown…
DB: “Well after all of that we do have a big show in store for today and it will kick off with a huge rubber match as Nick Bockwinkel & Curt Hennig take on Angelo “King Kong” Mosca & Larry Zbyszko who will be accompanied by manager J.J. Dillon. Each side has won a match in their encounters in the CWA and this match will decide the bragging rights for one team. In addition to that in action today we have the aforementioned LOW Tex-Arkana Television title match between the champion Blackjack Mulligan and the challenger J.C. Ice of PG-13. Also in action will be The Mountie taking on the exciting “Birdman” Koko B. Ware along with the popular Hacksaw Jim Duggan, the Flying Redheads (Red Bastien & Billy Red Lyons) and the stars of Ring Angels are here for some trios action. We also have an exclusive pre-recorded interview with new Ring Angels champion Mildred Burke and Jimmy Hart and the Gilbert Family from PCW will be here live in studio. Now let’s go over to our ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta to get today’s action underway.”
1) Nick Bockwinkel & Curt Hennig defeated Angelo Mosca & Larry Zbyszko by DQ: The rubber match between Nick Bockwinkel & Curt Hennig and Angelo “King Kong” Mosca & Larry Zbyszko, accompanied by manager J.J. Dillon, got off to a wild start. Mosca roughed up Bockwinkel setting him up for an assault by Zbyszko as their team held the advantage. Zbyszko then attempted a deathjump but Bockwinkel was able to pick him off and follow up locking on the Bockwinkel Sleeper. Zbyszko fought to the ropes to escape and then Hennig tagged in quickly executing the Hennig Plex. Mosca, however, broke that up with an elbowdrop and reversed pinning positions allowing Zbyszko to score a two count. Not long after it was Mosca back in and he tossed Hennig to the outside where the battle continued. Bockwinkel and Zbyszko, meanwhile, fought inside the ring. Mosca took control and tossed Hennig into some camera equipment before slamming a chair across his back. The referee called it there and Mosca was disqualified giving Bockwinkel and Hennig the win. A perturbed Hennig went over to the announce table post-match and demanded a singles match with Mosca which it was later learned will take place on the next CWA card in East Rutherford, NJ (Card #1054).
2) The Mountie defeated Koko B. Ware: As the popular “Birdman” Koko B. Ware entered the studio to take on The Mountie, accompanied by Sherri Martel, announcers Lance Russell and Dave Brown spent some time discussing Andre the Giant and his manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. They noted that Heenan has been negotiating with LOW Commissioner Charlie Cox regarding a third title match with LOW World Heavyweight champion Johnny Valentine. Russell said that more news on that should be known by the next airing of ASW but that now it was time to get to the action in the ring. Ware was in control early and often frustrating both The Mountie and Sherri. The Mountie took control after a corner counter and used the Boston Crab for a submission chance. He followed with the Short Choke Slam but Ware kicked out before the three count. That led to Sherri distracting the referee and The Mountie loaded up the Shock Stick jabbing Ware with it to score a controversial pin.
● Interview – Jimmy Hart and the Gilbert Family: Lance Russell let out a sigh as he made his way over to the interview area to bring out “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart and the Gilbert Family – Tommy, Eddie and Doug – who have been engaged in a wild family feud with Bob Armstrong, Brad Armstrong and B.G. James in Pacific Coast Wrestling. Hart wasted no time in getting under Russell’s skin with his fast talking and insults hurled at his old nemesis in the Memphis territory. Russell cut him off and reminded Hart that those days were long ago and that there was no need to bring any of it up. Tommy jumped in and scolded Russell saying that if it weren’t for him, his sons or Hart there would be no old days to talk about as they made the Memphis territory legendary. Eddie then said that the Gilbert’s and Hart all have legendary history to back them up but that the Armstrong’s are only known for being bums in the Georgia territory. Hart cackled out loud over that one before Doug said that it was time to get down to business and that coming up in Eugene, OR (Card #1055) it will be “Rage in the Cage” as the two families meet in a six-man Steel Cage Match. Eddie said that he had a special Fireball geared up for the Armstrong’s and that their faces would be burned and bloody messes when it was done. Hart cackled again and Russell had enough as he said to be on the lookout for that match and threw it to commercial break.
3) Red Bastien & Billy Red Lyons defeated Naptown Dragons: The popular Flying Redheads (Red Bastien & Billy Red Lyons) of Golden Age Wrestling took on the very capable Naptown Dragons (“Die Hard” Dustin Lee & Scotty Vortekz) of ASW. Both teams put it all on the line in this one which nearly ended in a television time limit draw. The Dragons looked great and nearly pinned Bastien with the Kiss of the Dragon but Lyons was able to make the save. Lyons later caught Lee with a rolling reverse cradle transitioning into the Figure Four Leglock but that was broken up by Vortekz. The battle continued with that kind of action until with little time remaining it was Bastien surprising Lee with the Atomic Drop for the pin. The Dragons pushed the Flying Redheads to the limit in what Dave Brown called a great match afterward. Before commercial break there was an announcement made by Lance Russell that the Redheads will have some new competition soon as Mad Dog & Butcher Vachon have left the CWA to join GAW. He also noted that the CWA tag team of Stars & Stripes is no more as Marcus Alexander Bagwell was recently released from his contract although The Patriot will remain in the territory.
4) LOW Tex-Arkana Television title: Blackjack Mulligan© defeated J.C. Ice to retain the title: The newly crowned LOW Tex-Arkana Television champion Blackjack Mulligan, who ended the record title reign of IWA star Roderick Strong, made his version one defense of the title against J.C. Ice, one-half of PG-13 along with Wolfie D. The early action saw a resilient Ice making a go of it as he had the larger Mulligan on the defensive. He even delivered a smash with the hubcap out of view of the referee and scored a two count following a choke on the ropes. Mulligan struck back with some nice offense scoring a near fall with a bodyslam and press and using the trapezius claw to wear Ice down. The finish came when Mulligan nailed Ice with a lariat and then locked on the Claw Hold resulting in him retaining the title via submission.
Mulligan went over to the announce table post-match and gave Ice credit for a good challenge when Sherri Martel suddenly interrupted him. Martel got into the face of the champion demanding that he give The Mountie a title shot. Mulligan told her to keep her distance or she would get taken to the woodshed drawing laughter from the studio audience. Martel responded by slapping Mulligan in the face which angered the champion. The Mountie then rushed into the ring and gave the fallen Ice a piledriver before threatening to use the Shock Stick on him. Mulligan saw that and left Sherri heading to the ring. He failed to make it in time as The Mountie zapped Ice with the Shock Stick and ran off followed quickly by Sherri. Wolfie D, meanwhile, ran in to check on his partner as an irate Mulligan grabbed the mic and said that he was going to rearrange his schedule and show up on the next PCW card in Eugene, OR (Card #1055) and give The Mountie that title shot that he so badly desires.
5) Tina Moretti, Sumie Sakai & Trinity Denucci defeated Joyce Grable, Angel Orsini & Simply Luscious: The stars of the Ring Angels division were in trios action as Tina Moretti, Sumie Sakai and Trinity Denucci took on Joyce Grable, Angel Orsini and Simply Luscious. It is well known that Sakai was influential in starting up the division with help from KRU founder Rikidozan, the reigning LOW International Heavyweight champion, so she was looking to stand out in this showcase match on ASW. The Japanese star did just that as after a flurry of action she caught Orsini with a flying bodypress from the top rope for a biog near fall. Then with all six women battling it out it was Sakai nailing the larger Orsini with a Fisherman’s Buster to score the pin. Orsini was livid over the outcome and had to be restrained by Grable and Luscious from tossing chairs into the ring as Sakai celebrated the win with her partners.
● Interview – Mildred Burke: This pre-recorded interview with newly crowned Ring Angels champion Mildred Burke was conducted just hours after her title win over Nora Greenwald at the Seibu Dome in Seibu, Japan (Card #1050). IWA photographer Dr. Mike Lano had the honor of interviewing Burke who is widely regarded by many as one of the greatest women wrestlers of all-time. Burke, also a former two-time SHIMMER champion, told Lano that she thrives on great competition and said that Greenwald, who had only recently won the title herself, was a deserving champion. She said that it would be an honor to face Greenwald in a title rematch but up first she has nominated the inaugural champion Penny Banner to face her in Greensboro, NC (Card #1056). Lano asked what made her consider selecting Banner as her first title challenger and Burke responded that she considers Banner one of the elite talents in the Ring Angels division and wants to face her for the gold. Lano agreed that Banner is a great star and said that the championship match in Greensboro should be incredible. Burke said that she will train hard for what she considers to be a serious first test to her title reign and that she plans to succeed and go on to become a dominant champion in the Ring Angels division.
6) Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Matt Striker: The expiration of time match only had time for one fall and this week it was popular CWA star Hacksaw Jim Duggan taking on Matt Striker of ASW. Striker was on the offensive early but Duggan made a counter out of the corner knocking him silly. Duggan then planted Striker with the Spinning Bodyslam and covered him for the pin winning it in quick fashion. Lance Russell and Dave Brown joked that maybe there was time for another fall when suddenly the lights in the studio went dark drawing some shrieks from members of the studio audience. Russell called for calm and tried to end the broadcast in the darkness when suddenly there was an interruption of the feed and a strange video brought the show to a conclusion:
Eerie music played out over a video of a darkened beach area lit up by a fire pit. Emerging from the water were two cloaked figures, one carrying a python snake, who quickly revealed themselves as Kevin Sullivan and Lord Zoltan. Sullivan began uttering words, some of which seemed to be spoken backwards, while Zoltan clutched the snake. This continued for nearly a minute before Sullivan, his eyes rolling back in his face painted head, pointed up at a nearby tree and a strange face poked out of the brush. Sullivan revealed his name to be Blackwater and said that he will be a part of the Army of Darkness drawing a look of satisfaction from Zoltan. Blackwater descended from the tree as Sullivan pointed back at the water and clutching a piece of driftwood was a name familiar with many fans, BJ Whitmer from Ring of Honor, but only now Whitmer looked possessed and had an “X” on his forehead. Sullivan called Whitmer out from the sea and said that the Army of Darkness was almost complete. The four men then surrounded a pit of fire and with Sullivan leading a satanic chant there was an explosion that shook the camera. The fire died out and a blinding light flashed on the scene with a huge man standing where the fire pit was once constructed. Sullivan thanked the “father” for bringing him the “punishment” that will be unleashed on the CWA and revealed the intimidating figure as Damien Martinez, “The Punishment”. Sullivan looked directly into the camera laughing and said that now that the Army of Darkness has risen no one will be safe…

I don't know if anyone can duplicate what Roderick Strong has done when he held the Tex-Arkana Television Title, but it's good to see Mulligan have a successful defense. Jim Duggan winning was cool, but the Kevin Sullivan and Lord Zoltan ending was really top stuff and I can't wait to see what's next from them...

Great to see that The Mountie is going to get the title shot that he so richly deserves... Enjoy that belt while you've got it, Mulligan... Cuz you won't have it long...
What can be said about the arrival of the Army of Darkness? An ominous spectacle, worthy of Sullivan's diabolical reputation... Very excited for the in-ring debut of Punishment Martinez... And it would be unwise to overlook BJ Whitmer - as dangerous as any man in the game...
As always, LOW All-Star Wrestling does an incredible job of setting the stage for future shows... Excellent work!

I knew someone was going to really enjoy The Mountie being set up for a title shot. We shall see Pariah if he is able to grab the gold when he faces Blackjack Mulligan. Thanks both Crimson and Pariah for your comments and I am glad you both enjoyed the arrival of the Army of Darkness. I was planning this since finding out about the addition of Sullivan in the ROH set. I will be using his manager card for his ringside appearances and of course his wrestler card for his matches. I am hoping for big things from this group so we will see how it works out. Next up will be a Golden Age Wrestling card headlined by Johnny Valentine defending the LOW World Heavyweight title against Ed "Strangler" Lewis.

LOW Golden Age Wrestling - Cobo Hall - Detroit, MI (Card #1052)
1) Mad Dog & Butcher Vachon defeated Ilio DiPaolo & Henry Irslinger: Tag team action opened things up as Ilio DiPaolo joined forces with Henry Irslinger to take on the rugged team of Mad Dog & Butcher Vachon. Having just left the CWA, where they were managed by Captain Lou Albano, the Vachon’s were looking to make an immediate impact in GAW. DiPaolo and Irslinger gave them all that they could handle, however, including Irslinger nearly pinning Butcher with the Flying Headlock. DiPaolo, a former LOW International Heavyweight champion, was in top form taking the battle to both opponents. Mad Dog managed a late rally for his team and nearly pinned Irslinger with the Piledriver. That left Irslinger vulnerable and it was Butcher locking him in the Hangman to get the victory via submission.
2) The Terrible Turk defeated Don Leo Jonathan: The popular “Mormon Giant” Don Leo Jonathan had the tough task of taking on The Terrible Turk (Youssuf Ishmaelo), a former LOW Tex-Arkana Television champion. Jonathan used his size and speed to dominate early including scoring a two count with the atomic drop. A battle on the outside led to The Turk taking over on offense and he managed to then lock on the controversial Stranglehold. Jonathan fought hard to escape it and did so managing to get to the ropes for a break. Later on it was The Turk sending Jonathan outside the ring before diverting the attention of the referee. The “Nebraska Tiger Man” John Pesek then showed up at ringside and inexplicably attacked Jonathan dropping him throat first on the guard rail. The Turk took full advantage of that dragging Jonathan back into the ring and locking on the Stranglehold again. Jonathan was unable to fight out of it and went under leading to The Turk getting a controversial snake eyes submission victory.
Pesek entered the ring post-match and shook hands with The Turk drawing jeers from the crowd. The two men then began putting the boots to Jonathan and laid him out before LOW officials ran in to break it up. Jonathan needed assistance to the back but then grew angry and grabbed a nearby official demanding a match with Pesek. It was later learned that Jonathan will indeed meet Pesek one-on-one on the next GAW card at the Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis, MO (Card #1073).
3) Dick Hutton defeated Evan Lewis: Former Olympian Dick Hutton out of Tulsa, OK, took on Evan “Strangler” Lewis, a Ridgeway, WI, native who calls himself the original “Strangler” in pro wrestling. He even had an intense rivalry with Ed “Strangler” Lewis in LOW several years ago. Lewis was put on the defensive early and had a hard time reversing the momentum against Hutton. An early application of the Abdominal Stretch nearly resulted in a submission victory for Hutton but Lewis was able to grab the ropes for a break. The next bad break for Lewis came when he missed a corner charge allowing Hutton to roll him up for a two count. Hutton then erupted on offense hitting such moves as the Cowboy backbreaker before executing a Side Salto and hooking the leg to score the pin on Lewis.
4) Antonino Rocca, The Crusher & Yukon Eric defeated Killer Kowalski, Bob Orton Sr. & Wild Bull Curry: Big six-man tag team action saw Antonino Rocca, The Crusher and Yukon Eric join forces to do battle with Killer Kowalski, Bob Orton Sr. and Wild Bull Curry. The epic rivalry between Eric and Kowalski in their pre-LOW days is well known as Eric once had his ear sliced off courtesy of a deathjump by Kowalski. Eric was itching to get at the Killer but Rocca and The Crusher persuaded him to start off on the ring apron. That strategy appeared to pay off as when the time was right The Crusher trapped Kowalski in the Crusher Nelson and set up the tag to Eric. That led to Eric tearing into Kowalski including gaining the upper hand on the outside. Rocca then tagged in and caught Kowalski in the Argentinian Backbreaker but his partners made the save. Curry would cause some controversy later when he used a chair smash on The Crusher narrowly avoiding a disqualification. He then loaded up with Brass Knuckles and nailed The Crusher with the weapon resulting in a big near fall. That led to Kowalski back in against Eric and set up a nightmarish scenario as the Killer went for a deathjump. He struck Eric with a boot to the head and then knocked him out of the ring with a jumping elbow smash. This time it was Kowalski roughing up Eric outside and that set up Orton Sr. hitting the Piledriver back inside for a big near fall. The wild bout ended when Rocca survived an assault by Curry and nailed him with a barrage of Flying Dropkicks to score the pin.
5) Danny Hodge defeated Iron Mike Dibiase: Six-time LOW Junior Heavyweight champion Danny Hodge held a rare ten pound weight advantage as he took on the double tough Iron Mike Dibiase. Hodge was able to control the action most of the way as he used various holds and submissions, in particular the Boston Crab, to frustrate Dibiase. He also connected with the standing dropkick for a big near fall. Dibiase rallied late rocking Hodge with a series of punches that knocked him out of the ring. Hodge was shaken up but he regained control in short order and caught Dibiase with the Oklahoma Side Roll to score the pin.
6) Frank Gotch defeated George Hackenschmidt: One of the most legendary rivalries in professional wrestling history was rekindled in a battle of former LOW World Heavyweight champions as Frank Gotch took on the “Russian Lion” George Hackenschmidt. These two masters of the mat waged an incredible battle that nearly went to the time limit. Gotch caught Hackenschmidt with the rolling kneebar in the early going and that seemed to shake up the Russian star. Gotch then went to the guillotine choke before applying the Gotch Toehold which nearly resulted in a submission. Hackenschmidt showed great resiliency by battling out of that punishing hold and then caught Gotch with a wristlock suplex for a two count. He followed up by locking on the Russian Bearhug but Gotch made a brilliant escape before using the grinding hammerlock for a submission chance of his own. The two wound up battling to the outside a few times and Hackenschmidt was busted open after Gotch sent him head first into the guard rail. Hackenschmidt was able to overcome the blood loss and once again locked on the Russian Bearhug. Gotch nearly tapped out but at the last second he fought out of the hold drawing cheers from the crowd. With time running out it was Gotch nailing the bloody Hackenschmidt with a forearm uppercut followed by the Iowa Backdrop to score the pin. It was a huge win for Gotch who no doubt will seek another opportunity at the LOW World Heavyweight title in the future.
7) Lou Thesz & Jim Londos defeated Buddy Rogers & Gorgeous George by Count Out: Grudge tag team action was featured in the semi-final as Lou Thesz and the “Golden Greek” Jim Londos teamed up to take on the flamboyant combination of “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers and Gorgeous George. Thesz, Rogers and George have recently undergone colorful changes and it was going to be interesting to see if that would have any effect on the action. Rogers and George were accompanied by George’s valet Cherie Dupre who sprayed perfume near both Thesz and Londos during the ring introductions. They took exception to that and the distraction allowed Rogers and George the chance to jump them before the bell. Rogers quickly nailed Thesz with the piledriver but then missed a corner charge. Thesz alertly rolled him up for a two count and then caught Rogers with the Thesz Press for a big near fall. Rogers was in a daze but he managed a counter attack and made the tag to George. Londos tagged in shortly after and took over on George using holds like the short arm scissors and grinding armbar. George was in serious trouble for a good stretch which included Thesz nearly pinning him after an airplane spin. George battled back with an attack on the outside and then used the Rolling Hiplocks on Londos for a two count. Rogers tagged back in and engaged in a nice back and forth battle with Thesz renewing their longtime rivalry. Eventually it was Thesz driving Rogers out of the ring after a released power bomb and the “Nature Boy” opted to throw up his arms and head to the back quickly followed by George and Dupre. The referee tolled a ten count and declared Thesz and Londos the winners of a hard fought battle.
8) LOW World Heavyweight title: Johnny Valentine© defeated Ed Lewis to retain the title: The main event saw the LOW World Heavyweight title on the line as Johnny Valentine put the ten pounds of gold up against the strong challenge of Ed “Strangler” Lewis. Both men are considered to be among the toughest ring technicians around and that fact was on display throughout this match. Valentine was able to hold early control of the action using chops and hard elbows to stun the challenger. Lewis made a nice counter out of a reverse chinlock and began a strong offensive of his own on the champion. He used a variety of takedowns and strong holds like the double wristlock making life tough for the champion. Valentine weathered the storm, though, and made a comeback using the elbow off the ropes to stun Lewis. The champion is known for his methodical style of attack but he caught Lewis off guard with a quick corner attack that left him open for a finish. As Lewis staggered back out it was Valentine trapping him in the Abdominal Stretch in mid-ring. Lewis tried in vain to get out of it, even attempting to reverse it into the Strangler’s Headlock, but Valentine had it cinched on tight. Lewis wound up conceding the match as Valentine secured a snake eyes submission victory. The crowd applauded the efforts of both men and Lewis showed class by shaking hands with Valentine afterward. It was a successful version nine defense of the title for Valentine which is the longest in over six years for the LOW World Heavyweight title. The all-time title defense record for the belt is held jointly by Mil Mascaras and Nick Bockwinkel who each successfully defended the title twelve times.

Really enjoyed the six man tag action - Kowalski's diving boot from the top rope was my favorite spot, even though it didn't lead to a win for his team... And congratulations to Johnny Valentine on another successful title defense... It would be something to see him break that six year record for longest reign, but he still has a bit of a road ahead of him - Especially if Andre gets lined up for a title rematch in the near future...
Since I've started my own mixed era fed, I find I've developed a brand new appreciation for the Legends in the game... Awesome watching guys like Rogers, Thesz, Gotch and Hackenschmidt tearing it up (really hope we get those last two in the next color set)...
A question on how you run your angles... During the match between Don Leo Jonathan and The Terrible Turk, things took a crazy turn when John Pesek ran in to interfere... What I'm wondering is this - Was that an organic situation caused by the Turk needing some outside help? Or was it pre-planned in order to kick off a new rivalry? If you wouldn't mind giving a fellow promoter a peek behind the curtain, it would be appreciated...
Another exceptional installment of Golden Age Wrestling... Awesome work!

If you wouldn't mind giving a fellow promoter a peek behind the curtain, it would be appreciated... Another exceptional installment of Golden Age Wrestling... Awesome work! Thanks for the great rundown of the Golden Age Wrestling action my friend. To answer your question The Turk actually won it clean over Jonathan via snake eyes but I decided to roll on the feud table anyway, which I often do on any snake eyes roll. That led me to having John Pesek get involved and I figured to add heat he could assault DLJ to set up the win for The Turk. So no pre-planning there just a snake eyes roll giving me an idea of how the finish could have played out. It sets up both a feud for DLJ and a possible alliance between The Turk and Pesek. Coming next will be an IWA card featuring two title matches plus Randy Savage & Rob Van Dam vs. Kevin Steen & Adam Pearce, I hope to have that posted soon.
