As mentioned, that was a big win for Hackenschmidt as it gives him some momentum going into his first round PWI Invitational matchup against the Wild Bull of the Pampas... I'm betting on Hack to make it to the semifinals in that tournament, but then he will be forced to contend with the Phenomenal One... And it will be game over!

Some great tag action as well... Especially enjoyed the main event... Anytime you drop 'Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers and Lou Thesz in the same ring, you know you're getting a classic...

Too bad Kowalski lost a technical decision to Rocca... Sometimes those emotions will get you in trouble...

The countdown to Wrestlecade weekend is almost over, my friend... Awesome show!

Thanks for the comments Pariah and Troy. I have a lot of fun with that Golden Age Wrestling roster especially when it comes to setting up the matches. I surprised myself when I realized that neither Buddy Rogers or Gorgeous George had a booking for WrestleCade 11 weekend so they clearly made a statement in that main event. As for Hackenschmidt vs. Styles, Pariah, I like the way you think. I really like how the PWI Cup field worked itself out this year as there are some real interesting possibilities going into it and it is wide open as to who might walk away with it. I hope to roll out that World of Sport card soon and maybe get WC11 started up by this coming weekend pending something keeping me from rolling the dice. A hot main event with a great supporting cast, in particular for me a huge win for the Vachons....but y'know what the highlight for me was? Yep, that's right- an appearance in the curtain- jerker of Mr X and Mr XII, or Double X, X Squared...
You pin them and you pay them!

As already mentioned that was a fun card. One of my favourite territories under the LOW banner. What a main event. Liked the Vachons going over clean. Hackenschmidt might be a sleeper pick to win the cup.

Thanks for the comments Joebreakdown and Bookerbill. The Vachons are looking good in GAW and should be in line for a tag title shot at some point. I am weighing adding in those vintage bootlegs to GAW that just came out but I am resisting thus far. I really want to limit myself to mainly official cards but the temptation is strong. As for Mr. X & Mr. X II I can tell you that they were compensated well for putting over the Flying Readheads in the opener Next up is the final card before the start of WrestleCade 11 weekend, I hope you enjoy it...

Match Highlights:
The final LOW card before WrestleCade 11 weekend, presented by World of Sport, was headlined by the popular Johnny Saint taking on “The Villain” Marty Scurll. This was considered by many in attendance to be the best main event in WOS history under the LOW banner. The first five rounds were electrifying with the two men trading control back and forth. Saint scored with a nice superplex counter in round six and locked on the Three In One getting Scurll to tap out. Scurll bounced back in round seven and caught Saint in the Crossface Chickenwing for the submission and the equalizing fall. That set up a dramatic eighth and final round of action that saw Scurll first lock on the Crossface Chickenwing and then transition into the Cattle Mutilation. Saint tried to work out of it but he was unable to and he conceded giving the “Villain” a two to one decision victory.

The semi-final was a rematch between “Superstar” Bill Dundee and the “King of Wrestling” Bobby Shane from Catford (Card #1090). Shane had won that match but then the decision was reversed due to his refusing to wake Dundee up after winning with the Japanese Sleeper. This rematch barely got into the second round when Shane was again disqualified as he assaulted Dundee outside the ring. Dundee got a one to nil victory but he was far from pleased and these two are likely to clash again in the new year…The wildest match of the night saw The French Angel come away with a huge one to nil victory over the One Man Gang. The Angel scored the fall in round seven after executing a Bodyslam and press on his near five hundred-pound opponent. OMG tried in vain to get the equalizing fall in the final round but he was unable to giving the Angel a hard-fought victory…Another notable bout saw Tommy End and Bob Roop ended up in a one to one draw. End gained a fall in round four and tried to hold on for the win but Roop scored the equalizing fall in the sixth and final round…David Taylor and Martin Stone had an intense bout that saw Taylor score the only fall in the final round. A sleeper hold set up the British Suplex by Taylor for the winning fall. Both men shook hands afterward drawing cheers from the crowd…and, “The Birdman” Koko B. Ware made an impressive debut in WOS scoring a two to nil victory over Archibald Peck. Afterward fans were thrilled to learn via social media that Ware has left LOW All-Star Wrestling and has signed a full-time contract with WOS.

It was simply ELECTRIFYING to see the Birdman in action... Very pleased that he was able to score such an impressive victory in his debut... Looks to be a great fit for WoS... And I always enjoy the high impact offense of Tommy 'the End'... Too bad he couldn't hold Roop off long enough to secure the win...

No matter where he goes, a certain cloud of mystique hangs low over the Villain... High hopes for Scurll in this fed and LOW as a whole...

Another amazing show and Wrestlecade weekend is almost upon us... YAY!

Of course I'm going to enjoy World of Sport and Gang is a nice choice because he reminds me of a smaller Giant Haystacks type. Scurll vs Saint would be a matchup I could watch over and over.

Thanks Pariah and Troy. The interesting thing about OMG is that the reason I put him in World of Sport was to represent Giant Haystacks. King Kong Bundy is a face on the WOS roster as a representation of Big Daddy as well. I wish we had official cards for Daddy and Haystacks in the game but since we don't I tried to find guys that fit the roles. Johnny Saint vs. Marty Scurll was a great bout as noted and really could have gone either way. I have only used Scurll a few times, about six matches, so it was nice to see him get a big win there. I am going to streamline the ASW roster a bit for the next fed year so I decided to move Koko B. Ware to WOS and he got off to a nice start.

I'm hoping to roll out the first round of the PWI Cup tournament kicking off WrestleCade 11 weekend sometime soon. Thanks again for the comments.
