It's a new year, and the Legends Wrestling Federation rings in 2010 with changes and excitement!
Bill Watts will be joined in the General Manager position as the LWF Board of Directors puts Watts in charge of one brand and another deserving administrator in charge of the other. Which man will run which program?
The LWF welcomes the World Cruiserweight Title back into the fold. A new champion will be crowned at the next Pay-Per-View, with a World Class representative facing a Prime Time representative. Which Legends will those be?
Name changes are on the agenda, as the National singles and tag team championships will be renamed the World Class Championships, and the North American titles will be renamed for the Prime Time program, reflecting the worldwide scope of the Legends Wrestling FEderation.
This Monday, January 4, George Hackenschmidt gets his shot at the World Class Championship held by Shawn Michaels. Rick Rude, though, is not happy about these developments, as he scored a victory over Hackenschmidt last week and feels that he should have the title shot. Also on World Class Championship Wrestling, the biggest Legend of them all, Andre the Giant, has asked for interview time. What is on the Giant's mind? Tune in and find out as the Legend from Grenoble, France makes a rare TV appearance. Plus, World Television Champion Rikidozan defends his belt against an opponent to be named. Diamond Dallas Page makes his return to the LWF, and many more Legends will be in action on ABC-TV!
On Tuesday night's Prime Time Championship Wrestling, the Fabulous Freebirds get one more shot at the Prime Time Tag Team Championship held by the Love Brothers. This time, it's a Texas Tornado Match, meaning all four men will be in the ring at once. Also, Antonio Inoki meets Lou Thesz to determine the next challenger for Buddy Rogers' Prime Time Championship. The Crusher, who debuted on Prime Time last week, gets thrown into the fire immediately as he faces former World Champion The Sheik. The World Television Title will be defended, and there will be much more action on ABC Family!

LWF WORLD CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING (ABC-TV) MONDAY, JANUARY 4, 2010 NUTTER CENTER, DAYTON, OHIO
***RESULTS***
DARK MATCH HULK HOGAN (bootleg) beat FREDDIE BLASSIE (bootleg) with the Leg Drop finisher.
LWF World Class General Manager Bill Watts drew the name of King Kong Bundy to challenge Rikidozan later tonight for the LWF World Television Championship. Watts also said that, tomorrow night on ABC Family, the new GM for Prime Time Championship Wrestling would be named. And, he reminded fans that, later tonight, Andre The Giant would be given his requested interview time.
S.D. JONES beat DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE by disqualification when the returning Page got frustrated and hit Jones with a chair outside the ring.
RICK RUDE (w/ Bobby Heenan) beat LWF World Class Tag Team Co-Champion GIANT BABA with the Rude Awakening finisher. After the match, Rude took the ring mic and said he should be the one challenging Shawn Michaels later tonight for the World Class Championship, not George Hackenschmidt, whom Rude beat last week.
MAD DOG VACHON (w/ Nikita Breznikov) beat OX BAKER with the Piledriver finisher.
LWF WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH, 10-MINUTE TIME LIMIT Champion and LWF World Class Tag Team Co-Champion RIKIDOZAN beat KING KONG BUNDY with a Forearm Hammer to retain the belt as Big John Studd and Bobby Heenan watched from the aisle.
At the interview stage beneath the giant LegendsVision television screen, Bill Apter introduced the 7'4" Andre The Giant. When he came out, Andre said he wanted to talk about his fellow Frenchman, Maurice Tillet, the French Angel. After a video piece recapping the debut of Tillet last September, in which manager Larry Sharpe brought him to the ring, his head and face shrouded in a large black cloth, and Sharpe removed the cloth, causing men to recoil in horror, women to faint and children to scream in fright at the misshapen visage of the Angel, Andre said he wanted to talk to Tillet because he believed Sharpe was exploiting him. Sharpe and Tillet came out, with Tillet wearing the shroud, and Sharpe told Andre to mind his own business. Andre wanted no part of Sharpe and proceeded to begin to talk to Tillet in French. Sharpe grabbed Andre by the arm, and Andre turned around and grabbed Sharpe by the throat. Tillet threw off the shroud and hammered Andre from behind, causing Andre to release Sharpe. When Andre turned around to face Tillet, Sharpe grabbed a chair and whacked Andre with it. Tillet took the chair and hit Andre several times, opening him up, and then wrapped him up in his lethal Bear Hug. It took several other wrestlers to pull Tillet off of Andre, and the Giant needed assistance to return to the dressing room. Announcers Gordon Solie and Jim Ross said they had never seen Andre take a beating like that.
BIG JOHN STUDD (w/ Bobby Heenan) beat JOHNNY RODZ with a Reverse Bearhug.
BRUNO SAMMARTINO (bootleg) beat LARRY ZBYSZKO (w/ Nikita Breznikov) with the Bear Hug finisher.
BRYAN DANIELSON beat The ONE MAN GANG (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) with a Small Package.
LWF WORLD CLASS MAIN EVENT -- WORLD CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT beat Champion SHAWN MICHAELS (bootleg) with a Twisting Heel Hook to win the belt. Michaels went for Sweet Chin Music when Hackenschmidt grabbed Michaels' foot in midair, yanked him to the mat and applied the heel hook, and Michaels, after a momentary struggle, tapped out. As Hackenschmidt held the belt in the air, Rick Rude ran in and attacked him, laying him out with the Rude Awakening. Michaels got to his feet, only to be met with the same fate. As TV time expired, it was Rude holding the belt high above the prone bodies of Hackenschmidt and Michaels.
TOMORROW NIGHT ON LWF PRIME TIME WRESTLING: The first appearance of the new LWF Prime Time General Manager; the Love Brothers vs. the Freebirds in a Texas Tornado Match for the Loves' LWF Prime Time Tag Team titles; Antonio Inoki vs. Lou Thesz in a Number One Contender's Match to meet Buddy Rogers for the LWF Prime Time Championship; World Television Champion Rikidozan defending his belt against an opponent to be named; and more.

THIS WEEK IN THE LWF
WORLD CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING It's time for Rick Rude to put up or shut up as he challenges the "Russian Lion," George Hackenschmidt, for the World Class Championship, a belt Rude has held once before, this Monday night live on ABC-TV. Does the "Ravishing One" have what it takes to overcome Hack's power?
The French Angel, Maurice Tillet, will put his own fearsome power on display once again as manager Larry Sharpe has signed a match with one of the leading contenders for the reactivated World Cruiserweight Title, Bryan Danielson. Will the "American Dragon" be just a stepping stone for Tillet on his way to his showdown with Andre The Giant at Rumble Royale '10?
Speaking of the Giant, rumor has it that he's willing to make an example of someone on the World Class roster Monday night and show Tillet that he tangled with the wrong Frenchman.
World Class Tag Team Champions Giant Baba & Rikidozan will be in action as they prepare for their match with the World Champion Road Warriors at Rumble Royale. World Television Champion Big John Studd puts his belt on the line, and the rest of the World Class roster will be out to sharpen their skills as the big 30-man over-the-top-rope battle royal looms on the horizon.
PRIME TIME CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING
Is new Prime Time General Manager Jerry Jarrett pulling some strings for an old friend? That's the rumor going around as Jerry Lawler, despite his record in the LWF, has scored a non-title bout with new Prime Time Champion Antonio Inoki. A win for "The King" would put him at the top of the heap for a title shot and a favorable position in the Rumble Royale battle royal.
The man Inoki beat for the title, Buddy Rogers, has plunged himself headfirst into training for his title match with LWF World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair at Rumble Royale. There's obviously more at stake than just the title for the two "Nature Boys".
Who will be the Love Brothers' next challengers for their Prime Time Tag Team belts? Will it be archrivals and former champions the Freebirds, or will the new duo of Jim Londos & Jimmy Snuka pull off an upset and get the title shot? It's the 'Birds vs. Londos & Snuka, plus the World Television Title, the TV return of Ivan Koloff, and more Tuesday night on ABC Family!
