Stuff happens, especially in the LWF. Besides, I was looking for a way to break Terry Gordy off as a single or prep him for a tag team with Steve Williams, now that Bamm Bamm has his own official Legends card.

On his way to the ring for the next match, Michael Hayes, returning after a suspension, is stopped at the interview stage by Gene Okerlund, who asked Hayes what he thought of the Freebirds not being able to team up for a year following last week's Prime Time Tag Team Title loss to the Love Brothers. Hayes said, "What do I think? 'Mean Gene,' I think it's a crock, that's what I think. You can never convince me that Jerry Jarrett and the Love Brothers aren't in cahoots in a conspiracy to get the Freebirds out of the picture. Listen, Gene, and listen good. As long as Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy and Buddy Roberts are in the LWF, even if we can't be in tag team matches anymore, Freebird Fantasia will never die! You're about to see a prime example of that when I win the World TV Title from that greaseball Sammartino!"

Observers said this was a candidate for Match of the Year, with quick tags by both teams and several near falls.
***LEGENDSMANIA '10***
STEEL CAGE MATCH BUDDY ROGERS beat MICHAEL HAYES (bootleg) with a Jumping Knee Smash. Rogers bounced Hayes around in the cage like a pinball after the win, putting the exclamation point on their feud.
LWF WORLD SIX-MAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP BRYAN DANIELSON, HILLBILLY JIM & LES THATCHER beat Champions The RED ARMY (Ivan Koloff, Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zhukov) (w/ Nikita Breznikov) when Danielson beat Koloff with a Suicide Dive to win the belts.

ANDRE THE GIANT beat KING KONG BUNDY (w/ Bobby Heenan) with the Big Splash finisher. Bundy more than held his own against Andre. Heenan tried to enter the ring to interfere, but Andre knocked him from the apron to the floor as he came off the ropes to hit his Splash on Bundy.
MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH -- WINNER GETS A WORLD TITLE SHOT AT THE NEXT PPV ROB VAN DAM beat SUPERSTAR BILLY GRAHAM (bootleg), GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT, ANTONIO INOKI, NIGEL McGUINNESS, RICK RUDE, JIMMY SNUKA and BIG JOHN STUDD to earn the title shot. The announcing team at ringside, Jim Ross, Gordon Solie and Mike Tenay, noted that all of the aluminum ladders around and under the ring had been reinforced with steel, given the size of some of the combatants. One by one, each wrestler went down to another man's finisher, until it was Van Dam and Graham climbing the ladder. Van Dam gave Graham a roundhouse kick, knocking him to the mat. With the chance to get the briefcase hanging above the ring, Van Dam instead hit a Moonsault off the ladder onto Graham. Van Dam clearly felt the effects of the move himself. As everyone else started to come around and move towards the ladder, Van Dam dragged himself up the ladder and unhooked the briefcase, winning the match and, essentially, getting a championship match against the winner of the Ric Flair - Hulk Hogan match coming up later.
LWF WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Champions The ROAD WARRIORS (Animal & Hawk) (w/ Paul Ellering) beat World Class Tag Team Champions GIANT BABA & RIKIDOZAN when Animal beat Rikidozan with the Doomsday Device finisher to retain the belts.
LWF PRIME TIME CHAMPIONSHIP Champion LOU THESZ (bootleg) beat LWF World Television Champion BRUNO SAMMARTINO (bootleg) with the Greco-Roman Backdrop finisher to retain the belt. Sammartino handed the belt to Thesz and congratulated him in a well-received gesture of sportsmanship.
LWF LEGENDSMANIA '10 MAIN EVENT -- LWF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP, BEST TWO OUT OF THREE FALLS World Class Champion HULK HOGAN (bootleg) (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) beat Champion RIC FLAIR (bootleg) two falls to none to win the belt. Hogan won both falls with his Leg Drop finsher, though the second fall was in doubt for a moment when Flair locked in the Figure Four Leglock finisher. Hogan was able to escape the hold by reaching the ropes, and, moments later, he hit the Leg Drop to win the belt. Diamond Dallas Page, another member of the House of Humperdink, came out to celebrate as fans generally booed the new champion.
TOMORROW NIGHT on LWF WORLD CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING: It's the annual Spring Draft, in which 10 wrestlers or teams from each brand will switch sides via a blind draw by Brand General Managers Bill Watts and Jerry Jarrett. LWF WORLD CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING MONDAY, MARCH 29, 2010 US AIRWAYS CENTER, PHOENIX, ARIZONA
***RESULTS***
DARK MATCH BILLY "RED" LYONS beat TERRY GORDY with the Figure Four Leglock finisher.
The show opened with both World Class GM Bill Watts and Prime Time GM Jerry Jarrett on the interview stage beneath the giant LegendsVision screen. With them were two large hoppers, each filled with the names of wrestlers and tag teams on the respective brands. Watts introduced the live and TV viewing audiences to the LWF's annual Spring Draft, in which 10 wrestlers and teams from World Class will swap places with 10 wrestlers and teams from Prime Time. Jarrett said that the brand champions are exempt from the draft, meaning Prime Time Champion Lou Thesz, newly crowned Prime Time Tag Team Champions Londrick and World Class Tag Team Champions Giant Baba & Rikidozan would not be drafted. Watts then said, "Which brings me to the World Class Title. As most of you know by now, last night at LegendsMania, the World Class Champion, Hulk Hogan, defeated Ric Flair in two straight falls to become the World Heavyweight Champion. At this time, I'd like for Hogan to come out." Hogan arrived, along with manager Sir Oliver Humperdink, to the boos of the fans. Hogan said, "Bill Watts, I know what you're going to say, so save your breath. Now that I'm the World Heavyweight Champion, I don't need this anymore," handing the World Class belt to Watts. "Whatever you want to do with it, brother, I don't care. All I care about is being the World Champion, and I'm going to be World Champion for a long, long time!" Hogan and Humperdink returned to the back, and Watts and Jarrett had a referee toss a coin to determine which GM gets the first pick in the draft. Watts called heads, and heads it was. He then reached into the Prime Time hopper and pulled out George "The Animal" Steele. Jarrett then went into the World Class hopper and pulled the name of Diamond Dallas Page. Jarrett noted that the draw from the hoppers would set up tonight's matches, ending with a six-man tag team main event. As Page and manager Humperdink came to the ring, Humperdink got the microphone and told Page, "DDP, you know the World Champion needs my attention, and I've decided to give Hulk Hogan my full and undivided attention. In other words, Page ... you're on your own!"
DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE beat GEORGE "The ANIMAL" STEELE with a Discus Clothesline. Page seemed a bit apprehensive early on after Humperdink seemingly tossed him aside. At one point, Steele gnawed a turnbuckle pad open and rubbed the stuffings into Page's eyes, but that obviously didn't have an effect for long.
Watts picked Buddy Rogers; Jarrett picked Rick Rude.
RICK RUDE (w/ Bobby Heenan) beat BUDDY ROGERS (w/ Sherri Martel) with a Clothesline.
Watts picked Nigel McGuinness; Jarrett picked Mad Dog Vachon.
NIGEL McGUINNESS beat MAD DOG VACHON (w/ Nikita Breznikov) by countout.
Watts picked Nikolai Volkoff; Jarrett picked Maurice Tillet.
NIKOLAI VOLKOFF (w/ Nikita Breznikov) beat FRENCH ANGEL MAURICE TILLET (w/ Larry Sharpe) with a Running Stomp.
Watts picked Ed "Strangler" Lewis; Jarrett picked Ric Flair, who automatically went to the World Class roster when Hogan won the World belt.
RIC FLAIR (bootleg) beat ED "STRANGLER" LEWIS (w/ Captain Lou Albano) by disqualification when Albano tried to interfere
Watts picked Jimmy Snuka. Jarrett picked World TV Champion Bruno Sammartino and said to Watts, "Why don't we go ahead and make that a title match, 10-minute time limit?" Watts agreed.
LWF WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP, 10-MINUTE TIME LIMIT Champion BRUNO SAMMARTINO (bootleg) beat JIMMY SNUKA with the Backbreaker finisher in the fifth minute to retain the belt.
Watts picked LWF World Cruiserweight Champion Frank Gotch, and Jarrett picked Les Thatcher.
NON-TITLE MATCH LWF World Cruiserweight Champion FRANK GOTCH beat LES THATCHER with the Gotch Toehold finisher.
For the six-man main event, Watts picked the Love Brothers and Money In The Bank winner Rob Van Dam. Jarrett picked Bryan Danielson, George Hackenschmidt and Boris Zhukov. That left Watts with one more name to draw, so he drew ... Michael Hayes! Hayes, unfortunately, was at home convalescing after the beating Buddy Rogers laid onto him last night in the Steel Cage.
LWF WORLD CLASS MAIN EVENT -- SIX-MAN TAG TEAM MATCH BRYAN DANIELSON, GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT & BORIS ZHUKOV (w/ Nikita Breznikov) beat The LOVE BROTHERS (Hartford & Reginald Love) & ROB VAN DAM when Hackenschmidt beat Van Dam with the Russian Bear Hug. Danielson and Hackenschmidt each kept their distance from partner Zhukov yet still tagged him in when necessary.
TOMORROW NIGHT on LWF PRIME TIME CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING -- The new Legends of Prime Time Wrestling get straight to work with matches against each other and against those who were not drafted. New Prime Time Tag Team Champions Londrick will be there, as will Prime Time Champion Lou Thesz, and TV Champion Bruno Sammartino puts his belt on the line against an opponent to be named.

LWF PRIME TIME CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING (ABC Family) TUESDAY, MARCH 30, 2010 THOMAS & MACK CENTER, LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
***RESULTS***
DARK MATCH DANNY HODGE beat LARRY HENNIG with a Cross-Body Block.
The TV show opened with a recap of last night's annual Spring Draft, outlining who went to World Class and who went to Prime Time. Tonight, it's all Prime Time contracted wrestlers. And, World Television Champion Bruno Sammartino's opponent's name was drawn, and it's George Hackenschmidt, who was one of the draftees from World Class.
FREDDIE BLASSIE (bootleg) beat MAD DOG VACHON (w/ Nikita Breznikov) with the Southern Neckbreaker finisher.
NON-TITLE MATCH Prime Time Tag Team Champions LONDRICK (Brian Kendrick & Paul London) (w/ Jim Cornette) beat AMISH ROADKILL & DANNY DORING when London beat Roadkill with the Assisted Shooting Star finisher.
Hillbilly Jim was in the ring waiting for the French Angel, Maurice Tillet, when announcers Mike Tenay and Larry Matysik were informed of a brawl in the dressing room area. A camera was sent back, and, after a commercial break, Tillet and his manager, Larry Sharpe, had both apparently been laid out. As fans saw the carnage, Terry Gordy charged the ring and immediately went to work on the Hillbilly.
TERRY GORDY beat HILLBILLY JIM with the Piledriver finisher.
After the match, Gordy stopped off at the interview stage beneath the giant LegendsVision TV screen and told Gene Okerlund, "Y'all don't need no Perry Mason to figure out what happened. I'm the one who put the French Angel's lights out, and when that bleached blond manager of his got in the way, I laid him out, too. Y'know, 'Mean Gene,' I've been sittin' back, watchin' everything that's been goin' on ever since the Freebirds got broke up. You know I used to be the World Class Champion. Well, (Prime Time Champion) Lou Thesz, you better shine up that belt of yours nice and purty, 'cause 'Bamm Bamm' wants another title, and it's gonna be YOURS!"
BRYAN DANIELSON beat IVAN KOLOFF (w/ Nikita Breznikov) with a Diving Head Butt in a very short match.
Before the next match, it was announced that George Hackenschmidt will face Rob Van Dam for his Money In The Bank World Title shot next Monday night on World Class Championship Wrestling. This came about because Hackenschmidt forced Van Dam to submit last night in a six-man tag team match. A clip of that moment then aired.
LWF WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP, 10-MINUTE TIME LIMIT Champion BRUNO SAMMARTINO (bootleg) beat GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT with the Backbreaker finisher to retain the belt.
RIC FLAIR (bootleg) beat DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE with the Figure Four Leglock finisher.
ANTONIO INOKI beat BORIS ZHUKOV (w/ Nikita Breznikov) with the Enzuigiri finisher. Zhukov had busted Inoki's head open and tried several times to put the former Prime Time Champion away, but the bloody Inoki's recuperative powers were superior as he came back and nailed the big-headed Russian for the win.
LWF PRIME TIME MAIN EVENT -- NON-TITLE MATCH Prime Time Champion LOU THESZ (bootleg) beat RICK RUDE (w/ Bobby Heenan) with a Small Package. After the match, Terry Gordy ran in and attacked Thesz, and Gordy and Rude double-teamed Thesz with kneedrops to the head as Heenan held his legs down until Bryan Danielson and Bruno Sammartino ran out, and Gordy, Rude and Heenan retreated. An EMT checked Thesz for a possible concussion as TV time expired.

DANNY HODGE beat KEITH ROBERTSON (Memphis bootleg) with an Abdominal Stretch in Hodge's return to LWF TV. After the match, Gene Okerlund interviewed Hodge at the interview stage, and Hodge expressed his desire to win the LWF World Cruiserweight Title, now held by Frank Gotch. Nikita Breznikov and Mad Dog Vachon came out and basically told Hodge to get at the end of the line, because "Mad Dog is going to get the next shot at the Cruiserweight Title, and he's going to win it." Hodge then challenged Vachon to a match to determine which man should get the title shot, but Vachon cheap shotted Hodge, and the two went at it until security and officials could separate them.

LWF WORLD CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING (ABC-TV) MONDAY, APRIL 12, 2010 O2 ARENA, LONDON, ENGLAND
***RESULTS***
DARK MATCH The ROCK (bootleg) beat GOLDBERG (bootleg) with The People's Elbow finisher.

King Kong Bundy meets Nikolai Volkoff, Superstar Billy Graham faces Ed "Strangler" Lewis, Jimmy Snuka battles Big John Studd, and Amish Roadkill goes up against Shawn Michaels. Also, Bruno Sammartino defends the LWF World Television Championship, and Steve Austin makes his LWF debut.
The name of Sammartino's opponent is drawn from the hopper, and it's ... Money In The Bank holder Rob Van Dam! World Class GM Bill Watts decrees that, due to the quality of the matchup, it will be tonight's Main Event.
STEVE AUSTIN (bootleg) beat FREEZER THOMPSON (Memphis bootleg) with the Stone Cold Stunner finisher.
Austin then called Watts out. When the GM arrived to the ring. Austin asked, "Why the hell ain't I in the championship tournament?" Watts explained that Austin just had his first match tonight and hasn't yet proven himself against LWF competition. Austin replied, "I haven't proven myself? You mean you dragged me all the way to this Godforsaken country with the worst watered-down beer I've ever tasted, just so you can tell me I haven't proven myself? Don't my reputation count for something? Seems to me like I deserve to be in this tournament, not someone like, what do you call him, Roadkill? Bill Watts, if I have to prove myself, then, by God, I'm gonna prove myself. And that's the bottom line, 'cause Stone Cold said so!" Austin then ordered the timekeeper to toss him two beers from the mini-cooler Austin had brought to ringside, and he sloppily gulped them down while going to all four corners or the ring.
