But again you are basing your opinion on just the previews you've seen. At least allow the set to come out before you decide it's *just* a wrestling company. Osk wrote a cosmic multi0factioned war that also included the forces of Heaven and Hell, had the storyline play out through a wrestling ring, and did it incredibly successfully. More successfully even than the similar storlyine that Tom attempted in the GWF ( I KNow! Sacrilege!). Give him the bnenefit of the doubt, huh? not saying he can't pull something out, but Am saying that so far aCe is in danger of appearing that way i.e *just* a wrestling company. am still gonna get the set-don't get me wrong but Avarice's stable and Tournament master coming to aCe, as cool as an idea as both are, don't strike me as particularly Sci Fi. I agree that I currently don't see any sci-fi stuff going on right now. While alot of the announcements have been good and getting me excited, it is starting to look like just another wrestling fed. However, the next set should start in 2123 and not 2122 (I'm pretty sure that's whats been said) so I'm assuming that all of this is going on in 2122 and the new aCe is being built up in that time. Now if I was running things and there was still going to be a sci-fi feel. I would wait for the last announcement before release, or even wait for people to read the aCe booklet to find out what sci-fi off the wall thing will be happening next. But with the unique release schedule they will be having it could even be pushed back a few months after release. I personally think that aCe is taken over by vampires with Werner's W3 Dragula leading the takeover

I got nothing. With as many loose ends laying around from the first three sets, I just don't understand how someone could even begin to think this will be a standard wrestling company. I'm sure Osk won't disappoint.

I personally think that aCe is taken over by vampires with Werner's W3 Dragula leading the takeover I have a team of Werecats (lycanthropes) poised to invade! ;D I got nothing. With as many loose ends laying around from the first three sets, I just don't understand how someone could even begin to think this will be a standard wrestling company. I'm sure Osk won't disappoint. Murdok-imprisoned for the rest of his unnatural life. Gheist dead, Rankor Dead, Rotwurm, Meteor & Grovel dead. The majority of the Tribes of Primus-slaughtered. Avarice and his group as well as Tournament Master coming to the forefront as the new faces of aCe. That is how one can be led to believe that. Still, I am giving Osk the benefit of the dobut...although another spoiler-maybe Paganax's role in the new aCe sure would help...

No one can really deny that all Centra entertainment is looking like "just another wrestling promotiom" because that's exactly what it is supposed to be! Even with all the loose ends lying around, the new aCe, as far as the promotion goes, is just trying to be normal, so it makes sense for there to be a lull in the sci-fi stuff.
but, it looks like Osk is still providing a different feel for this fed to still make it seem it's own entity. There is a large focus on entertainment and personalities. Showmanship. For now, the sci-fi stuff takes a back seat, and it should.
But I dont think anyone who has played or followed the aCe for even a little bit believes that the sci-fi stuff is gone forever.

Think of the world the federation is on, and all that is going on behind the scenes and tell me there's nothing sci-fi about the new aCe A more normal fed within the story though is fine by me.

I thought one of the "common complaints" about aCe was this "battle" going on in the "wrestling ring". Now, the elements are on the "outside" it seems...which makes the fed "normal". Good call Jon

Good call Jon I think those are good points, and that's why I'm getting excited about the 'new' aCe. The write ups have been great and have been showing them trying to establish the aCe as a normal fed and it seems to be working. I think that we will eventually get something off the wall/sci-fi happen, it just won't be a zombie war and this more 'normal' direction will make more sense in the booking of wrestling matches which I often thought of a kinda wierd when running matches myself.

But if you wanted "normal" you have the GWF or POW. aCe is where the more wild story elements were on Display, which made it unique and gave the fed it's rich backstory! Again, if you want that kind of federatrion, then have it it! I liked aCe because of the back story. 'The war will be settled in the ring', which in itself was interesting because as the sets progressed the war continued on outside of the ring too!Zombies, cybrogs, and exotic alien races as well as the supernatural forces of Heaven and hell. Not to mention the the "rock, paper, scisssors" aspect that was introduced in the first aCe set. I am still planning on getting aCe when it comes out, but the wave of "normalcy" that has been on display lately has me concerned the fed may have lost it's way.

I think the 'normallcy' will disappear its just a matter of when... last announcement before release at the release a month or so after release (depending on unique release schedule)
