What follows is a 'block by block' account of the results for this Final Ballot Phase of the CotG Hall of Fame Project. At the end I'll include a brief look at the candidacies which faced an interesting 'historical reassessment' from the results of the old paper version of the HOF via the Promoter Newsletter.

Also included is the the official CotG HOF Induction Ballot along with voting parameters. Both open and closed ballots will be accepted immediately. Voting will end at the close of Friday July 6th.

Original CotG Hall of Famers: Legacies Reassessed

A number of past inductees from the old paper (Promoter Newsletter) version of the CotG HOF failed to achieve Induction Ballot status. Many reputations were judged and found wanting. Some didn’t even fare competitively when measured against their peers. Perhaps a reminder that there’s a difference between honoring elite level all time greats…and creating a Hall of ‘Good’. What follows is an account of the results of the first induction class of the CotG Hall of Fame. I want to thank everyone who took the time to vote. I also want to give a special acknowledgment to math wizard Greg Henion aka board member Dragon Breath for his timely certification of the ballots. Were it not for his generosity in devoting his time...you would not be reading the results that follow.

Keep in mind the CotG Hall of Fame is a living institution. Feel free to critique while offering alternative solutions and approaches. At any time you can create institution building polls that offer ideas and concepts that you feel can make it 'more perfect'. Any and all adopted policies are determined by majority vote...be an active part of the process.

*Note that as a result of an Institution Building Poll that closed August 21, 2007...a 5% Minimum Affirmative Vote Rule was enacted as a requirement for a given candidate to maintain Induction Ballot Status going into the next CotG HOF cycle. This means that in May 2008...Dreggs (1.6%) and Overkill (3.2%) will fall off of the Induction Ballot and return to the general candidacy grouping.
