Last night at Manhattan Center in New York, NY. ROH crowned a new ROH World Heavyweight Champion, as TYLER BLACK ended the near, two-year reign of AUSTIN ARIES, as BLACK pinned ARIES to win the ROH World Heavyweight Championship. BLACK is currently in LOTF 2, ao I can say with pride, that LOTF has the ROH World Heavyweight Champion and that man is TYLER BLACK. I'm sure i'm going to have plenty of feedback on this, with that said, the floor is all yours COTG, LOW and LOTF fans.

Saw this announcement this morning. It doesn't surprise me, as Tyler has bene chasing the gold for some time now.
Now, you have to wonder, if Ares is going to be staying with ROH. I haven't heard anything, but you never know.

Should have won it a while back, but cool for Black!

Should have won it a while back, but cool for Black! Agreed. But he won Survival of the Fittest and that pretty much set-up that any title shot he got could be the one! Plus, they totally set everyone up by having Ares take the gold off Lynn and not Black, as everyone "knew" that Black would win it that night!

He should have won it back in 2008, but good for him, I guess. It's another case of ROH holding off the title run for far too long like they did with Nigel.

Congrats to Tyler. A longer reign would have been nice for Aries, but honestly, if Black didn't win it here, he'd be the new Lex Luger in terms of chokign in the big title matches.
