This will be a brief Aftershow as I was on break too and I didn't even know we were back! War Machine & Tim Donst strike gold in the main event and what a wild turn of events with Donst turning on the championship team to join the challengers. Team Quack had to scramble for a replacement and Cheech is no replacement for Donst. Good to see the Bravado Brothers continuing to look strong in the tag league. Hopefully ACH is ok after taking that spill from the top rope to the floor. I disagree with Kimber Lee getting a rematch with Cheerleader Melissa just because I worry that she will get it back thanks to Sweeney and his goons.

Oh well, it is good to see the action back in the Heartland and I will end this Aftershow with a classic from The Cult - Heart of Soul...

The show opens with the tune, "Awake and Alive" by Skillet playing overhead. DAYTONDAVE and WARLORD emerge through the curtain and wave to the cheering crowd.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to CHIKARA! It's Saturday night in the heart of America, and that means it's time for another spectacular epioside of the CHIKARA brand of professional wrestling.

Warlord: And do we have a surprise for you! I have been excited about this all week! We got this all figured out!

The fans cheer as GIANT BERNARD joins the broadcast team, carrying a clipboard and wearing a slide rule on his belt.

Bernard: Thanks, Warlord! I can't believe it's finally time to start the matches for the Generic Secondary Championship!

Warlord: Tonight's the night! We have selected 24 men from our the indies- and they will compete in a series of matches to narrow it down to three men. The final three men will compete in a triple threat match for the title!

Bernard: And tonight is Random Tag Team Night!

Daytondave: Random Tag Team Night?

Bernard: Yep! Eight guys will compete in random tag matches. The winners will have another random tag match, and those winners will fight each other for the first spot in the final three!

Daytondave: I guess that makes sense. It will certainly kick things off for an entertaining night of wrestling. And fans- our Main Event tonight will be dynamite! The Heartland Ladies' Championship is on the line when CHEERLEADER MELISSA defends against KIMBER LEE! We are going to rock Bowling Green tonight, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!



GENERIC SECONDARY CHAMPIONSHIP RANDOM TAG TEAM MATCH #1
'MR. TOUCHDOWN' MARK ANGELOSETTI*** & GREG EXCELLENT defeated JOCK SAMSON** & CHUCK TAYLOR
Both teams were awkward to start the match, but Jock Samson took control against Angelosetti with a massive power slam! Taylor tagged in and dropped Angelosetti with Sole Food, but Excellent was able to break up the pin. Samson came off the top rope onto Angelosetti, but Angelosetti alertly rolled away and Samson crashed to the canvas. Angelosetti tagged in Excellent, who finished off Samson with a Tiger Driver.


Bernard: There you go! Angelosetti and Excellent move to the next round!

Daytondave: Against the winners of our next match?

Bernard: Nope. Against each other. The teams get randomly reshuffled after each round.

Warlord: Come on, Daytondave- get with the program!



GENERIC SECONDARY CHAMPIONSHIP RANDOM TAG TEAM MATCH #2
EL GENERICO & COLT CABANA defeated ACH** & TIM DONST
The fans popped wildly for the arrival of Cabana and Generico. ACH also received a warm welcome, but Donst drew loud boos throughout the arena. ACH started the match for his team, but COLIN DELANEY came to ringside and confronted Donst! Donst came off the apron and went nose to nose with Delaney, leaving ACH to fend for himself. ACH put up a good battle, but Generico flattened ACH with a vertical suplex powerbomb to take the starch out of ACH. Cabana tagged in and dropped ACH with the Colt .45 for the win.


Daytondave: That's all for ACH. I don't think Donst really cares about losing that match.

Warlord: Donst is clearly on his own agenda.

Daytondave: So what comes next?

Bernard examines his slide rule and runs some calculations.

Bernard: Generico... and Excellent... vs. Cabana and Angelosetti.

Daytondave: Interesting. Cabana and Angelosetti have a history- we'll see if they can co-exist. We'll give these guys a breather while we check out the 2017 Independent Tag Team League!



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE OSIRIAN PORTAL (2-3) vs. OI4K (1-4)
A sensational tag team match! All four men went to the air early an often, with devastating results. Jake and Amasis went at it for several minutes, until Jake wiped out Amasis with a suicide dive. Amasis attempted to return fire, but Jake dodged the flying body press and Amasis crashed into the
! With the ref out of commission, Dave Crist hit the ring, and the brothers launched a vicious double-team attack on Amasis. Ophidian tried to come to the aid of his partner, but Jake knocked Ophidian off the apron and the Crists continued to pummel Amasis until the referee returned to his senses. Amasis was spent, but managed to make the desperation tag to Ophidian. Ophidian caught Jake with the Death Grip, and Jake was unable to escape. Ophidian continued to work the Death Grip as Jake stubbornly refused to give it up. Just when it looked like Jake could take no more, he lunged and made the tag to Dave! Dave stormed the ring and leveled Ophidian with a running spear. Seeing his opportunity, Dave went to the top turnbuckle and came off with a Double Stomp on Ophidian and scored the pin!


WINNERS: OI4K


Daytondave: What a match! All four of those guys left it all in the ring tonight.

Warlord: Two wins in a row for OI4K!

Daytondave: The Crist Brothers got off to a rough start- but there may still be time for them to get back into contention. All right, fans- let's move on to the next Random Tag Team Match!



GENERIC SECONDARY CHAMPIONSHIP RANDOM TAG TEAM MATCH #3
'MR. TOUCHDOWN' MARK ANGELOSETTI & COLT CABANA defeated EL GENERICO*** & GREG EXCELLENT*
This bout was not much of a wrestling match, but more of a battle of one-upsmanship between Angelosetti and Cabana. Both men had their way with Excellent in the early going, but it was Cabana who scored the only near fall on Excellent after a Colt .45. When Generico hit the ring, he had a brilliant series of exchanges with Cabana. Cabana finally took control when he dropped Generico with a running double knee strike, and followed up quickly with the flying hip attack. Generico was in trouble, and Angelosetti tagged himself into the match. Cabana looked annoyed, but it was Angelosetti who connected with the Extra Point on Generico for the pinfall.


Warlord: I do declare! I believe Angelosetti just stole that pin right out from under Cabana's nose!

Daytondave: It's amazing those two were able to win. Cabana doesn't look happy.

Bernard: Well, he will get his chance at revenge. It will be Cabana vs. Angelosetti tonight- and the winner goes to the Triple Threat Match for the title!

Daytondave: I think I am beginning to see the logic here. But before we move on, let's head to 'Sweet Talk' for a word from LARRY SWEENEY!

The scene shifts to the set of "Sweet Talk", where Larry Sweeney is decked out in a sequined robe and neon boa. He is accompanied by JESSIE MCKAY, adorned in black from head to toe. Jessie responds to the booing of the fans with a sneer, but Sweeney laughs at the crowd as he starts the show.

Sweeney: All right, people. Keep the noise down while a drop some knowledge. We gotta get this done and get ready for Kimber's title match tonight. Jessie- are we good to go for the Main Event?

Jessie: We got this. I only hang out with winners, you know. Dumping that pathetic CRUEFAN was the smartest thing I ever did.

Sweeney: Without a doubt! Let's do this. The indies are heating up again as the summer of '17 is in full swing. Ain't it great to have BIG DADDY KANTER back in KOTI? Dude is a promotional genius, and he already has Vegas Championship Wrestling tearing up the desert. Until now, I never heard of the CLASSIC CONNECTION, but BUDDY ROYAL & LEVI SHAPIRO have owned the Tag Team Division. These guys are tearing through everybody- including their most recent title defense over the INTERNATIONAL ARMY.

Sweeney: I hate to say it, but the Vegas Ladies' Title has been snagged by CHEERLEADER MELISSA. Good for her- because she'll still have a title to wear after Kimber beats her tonight for the Heartland belt. Just because Melissa can beat MALIA HOSAKA doesn't make her unstoppable.

(Boos)

Sweeney: Whatever. Of course, if you're talkin' about the indies, you gotta be talkin' about ROH: New York. The Faction Wars up there are bringing all kinds of heat! PUNISHMENT MARTINEZ has been beating the crap out of anybody and everybody- until JAKA came along! I couldn't believe my eyes when Jaka took down the big man! And if that wasn't surprising enough, how about BJ WHITMER going over ADAM COLE? Granted, anything can happen in the Faction Wars- but a win over the reigning King Of The Indies is definitely a feather in Whitmer's cap.

Sweeney: And of course, the Women Of Honor are still going strong. Kudos to SARAYA KNIGHT & RHIA O'REILLY, two of the toughest chicks on the planet not named Kimber. Those crazy redheads held on to the Women of Honor Tag Titles with a big win over NICOLE SAVOY & SHAYNA BASZLER- and that's no small feat.

Sweeney: Last but not least, you gotta love the excitement in Style Battle! TERRIFIC TODD put together two awesome shows in July, with LANCE HOYT and MATT CROSS coming out on top! What a great month for Cross- a Style Battle Victory, and a pinfall over RICOCHET at Galacticon. Cross and JAKE CRIST went right down the wire in Style Battle 6- that match had me on the edge of my seat! Also at Style Battle, KENNY OMEGA & CHRIS SABIN defended the King Of The Indies Tag Team Championship against JIMMY RAVE & DONOVAN DIJACK. Nobody has been hotter than Rave and Dijack, but the champs held the belts once again.

Sweeney: Okay, people- that's all the knowledge you Foolish Falcons can handle for one night, so it's time to shove off and send it back to Daytondave at ringside. The pleasure was yours!



Daytondave: Thanks, Larry, for another great review of this week's action around the indies. No doubt we'll hear plenty from Sweeney during tonight's Main Event- but next, we're gonna take another look at the 2017 Independent Tag Team League!



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE ADDICTION (2-3) vs. SCORPIO SKY & JOEY RYAN (4-1)
To the surprise of the crowd, Daniels and Kazarian dominated the match from the onset. Daniels took control over Ryan at the start of the match, and punished Joey with a stiff enzuigiri followed by Last Rites. Joey escaped to the arena floor, but Daniels dropped Ryan with an STO on the arena floor. Kazarian took over on Ryan with Back To The Future, and only a quick reaction from Scorpio saved the match. Scorpio managed to tag in, but did not better as Kazarian pelted Sky with a flurry of kicks. Daniels dropped Sky with the Angel's Wings, but Scorpio got his foot over the bottom rope. Ryan caught a second wind and tagged back in, but Daniels quickly took Ryan to the mat and nailed the Best Moonsault Ever for the pin.


WINNERS: THE ADDICTION


Daytondave: Unbelievable! Joey and Scorpio have been at the top of the standings all year, but this was a costly loss.

Warlord: Never saw that one coming.

Daytondave: On any given Saturday... you just never know.

Warlord: It's time for the Generic Secondary Championship finale for tonight!

Bernard: That's right! The winner of this match will make it to the triple threat final for the title!



GENERIC SECONDARY CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING MATCH
'MR. TOUCHDOWN' MARK ANGELOSETTI* pinned COLT CABANA**
What was intended to be a wrestling match quickly turned into a fight. Angelosetti and Cabana threw down on the arena floor, but Angelosetti caught the upper hand. After both men were corraled back to the ring, Mr. Touchdown took the weary Cabana to the mat and finished him off with the Extra Point.


Warlord: Staple the Vicar! We have a winner!

Bernard: Yes, we do! Mark Angelosetti takes the first spot in the triple threat match for the Generic Secondary Championship. Next week, a 10-man Battle Royal for the next spot in the finals!

Daytondave: All right! Another week, another new contender. I am definitely looking forward to the Battle Royal. But now, fans- it's time for the Main Event- it's the Heartland Ladies' Championship!



MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP
CHEERLEADER MELISSA*** (c) pinned KIMBER LEE***
It was a sensational slugfest between Melissa and Kimber, with plenty of controversy thrown in. Kimber came to the ring accompanied by LARRY SWEENEY and JESSIE MCKAY. To the surprise of the crowd, CRUEFAN followed Melissa to the ring, although Melissa ignored him as she focused her attention on her foe. It was Kimber who opened up aggressively, backing Melissa into the corner with strikes and chops. When Melissa tried to fire back, Jessie grabbed Melissa by the ankle, enabling Kimber to score with a stiff palm strike! Referee BIG JIM THE ENFORCER issued a stern warning to Kimber but allowed the match to continue. Melissa dug deep, pummeling Kimber with a series of body blows and pitching Kimber to the arena floor. Melissa was confronted by Sweeney, but Cruefan grabbed the Ladies' Championship Belt from the announcers' table and nailed Sweeney! Jessie shrieked with anger at Cruefan, but Melissa took the opening and drilled Kimber with a forearm smash. Kimber went down, and Melissa followed with a Curb Stomp on the arena floor! Big Jim finally got the action back into the ring, but Jessie jumped onto the ring apron to distract the referee. Kimber took advantage, nailing Melissa with a nasty low blow that left Melissa gasping on the mat. Kimber moved in for the kill, but Cruefan slid the title belt to Melissa. With Big Jim still distracted, Melissa nailed Kimber with the belt! Kimber went down, and the Big Jim finally turned his attention back to the ring and counted the pin!


CHEERLEADER MELISSA RETAINS THE HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP


Daytondave: What a finish! Melissa finally decided to fight fire with fire, and she came out on top. Congratulations to Cheerleader Melissa for a big win tonight to hold on to the Heartland Ladies' Championship. That was an outstanding performance in a tremendous Main Event! All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! CHIKARA will be back on Wednesday night with a mid-week special that will bring down the house! We'll feature a tag team battle with a shot at the Campeonatos de Parejas on the line. That's our show, and I AM OUTTA HERE!

I'm pleased to see the 'Generic Secondary Championship' launched, and things have certainly kicked off with some fantastic action!

Always a pleasure to see cruefan68 turn up in the Heartland and nice to see the maverick promoter  Mad Kanter on board too.

I am constantly amused by the antics of Bernard and the Warlord- a couple of fruit loops right there. I'd be keen to see 'one more match' from the big guys sometime down the line. Also pleased to see Big Jim The Enforcer upholding the law and thankfully no longer feeling the need to put his fitness gear on...

I always play my cards close to the vest and just when you think I'm out I jump back in. Larry Sweeney felt the sting of my title belt shot as did Kimber Lee when I slid said title belt to Cheerleader Melissa to aid her in a successful title defense. Kimber and Sweeney had that coming for a long time and as for Jessie it was fun while it lasted. Now how do I get Cheerleader Melissa's number?

As for the rest of the show, it was good to see Mr. Touchdown qualify for the elite Generic Secondary Championship. The guy can be a bit irritable but he has talent and I can see him possibly claiming that belt for himself. I always enjoy the Tag League action and The Addiction picked up a huge win over Scorpio Sky & Joey Ryan as did OI4K over the Osirian Portal.

The show opens with the tune, "Awake and Alive" by Skillet playing overhead. DAYTONDAVE and WARLORD make their way down the aisle to the cheers of the fans. DON LEO JONATHAN circulates around ringside, emptying his knapsack of pork pies, Twinkies, and Little Debbie cakes to the delight of the fans.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to this exciting Wednesday night edition of the CHIKARA brand of professional wrestling. And a warm welcome to our pal, Mr. Junk Food himself! Thanks for providing tonight's refreshments- as if the state of Michigan needs more ugly fat people.

Warlord: Cheap heat? That's no fair! How can you be so insensitive to the fine, upstanding citizenry right here at Western Michigan University?!?

Daytondave: Fair enough. Fans- it's time to batten down the hatches for a great show. We have four big matches tonight, highlighted by a tag team contest with championship implications. HALLOWICKED & FRIGHTMARE will battle N-R-G tonight. Both teams have two points, so the winners will move on to a title shot against the Campeonatos de Parejas! It's going to be exciting from start to finish tonight, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!



COURTNEY RUSH** pinned MADISON EAGLES*****
The opening ladies' bout was extremely competitive and well-fought. After several minutes of back-and-forth action, Courtney caught Madison with several suplexes that rocked the Aussie. Madison was hurting, but managed to drill Courtney with a running big boot which stunned Courtney. Both ladies were hurting, but it was Courtney who caught her second wind and dropped Madison with an Olympic Slam for the pin.


Daytondave: A terrific bout to start the show!

Warlord: Definitely cleaner than the ladies' match we saw this past Saturday.



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE BATIRI (KODAMA & OBARIYON) (2-3) vs. THE ROUGHNECKS (2-3)
The Rednecks were in control from the opening bell, and Kodama paid a heavy price! Both Lee and Redwood took turns chopping away at Kodama until Brodie drilled Kodama with a big boot to finish off the win for the Roughnecks.


WINNERS: THE ROUGHNECKS


Warlord: Shiver 'me timbers, matey!

Daytondave: Ummm... dude... they're not pirates. They're lumberjacks!

Warlord: Are they okay?

Daytondave: They sleep all night, and they work all day. I suppose they're okay. Can we get on with tonight's matches?



RODERICK STRONG defeated JIMMY RAVE*** by submission
In a top 8 contenders' match, Strong controlled most of the action after dropping Rave with a tremendous Gibson Driver. Rave managed a brief rally before Strong tapped him out with the Strong Hold.


Daytondave: Impressive performance by Roderick!

Warlord: Strong!

Daytondave: Strong performance, yes it was.

Warlord: Strong!

Daytondave: Right. Strong performance by Strong. He is a strong contender to the Grand Championship! But fans- we're gonna wrap things up tonight with another Contender's match in the CHIKARA Tag Team Division!



CHIKARA CAMPEONATOS DE PAREJAS: #1 CONTENDER'S MATCH

Mayhem erupted in the contenders' match! The bout was fought on equal terms for several minutes, until without warning, TIM DONST & WAR MACHINE arrived at ringside! Donst pulled Hallowicked off the ring apron, and the two rivals threw hands! Hanson and Rowe pulled Jaxon out of the ring, and both Machines hoisted Jaxon up and drilled him through the announcers' table! Rockwell dashed over to check on his partner as the referee tried to separate Donst and Hallowicked. Frightmare leaped off the ring apron and crashed down onto both Donst and Hallowicked, wiping out all three men in a heap! The referee returned to the ring as TROY XAVIER led War Machine up the ring ramp. None of the competitors were able to return to the ring as the referee issued the ten count.


RESULT: DOUBLE COUNT OUT


Warlord: That was crazy! Broken bodies laying all over the place! What just happened?

Daytondave: Bad news, that's what. Troy Xavier and his thugs have just disrupted the Tag Team Contenders' Match- and this will go as a loss for both teams! The referee did his best, but the numbers game and the genius strategy of Troy have just thrown the tag team division into chaos. All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! Be sure to tune in on Saturday for our next big CHIKARA broadcast. It will be a HUGE Main Event when RICOCHET defends the CHIKARA Grand Championship against the former champion, DELIRIOUS. The Heartland is running me ragged here, another show in the books and I barely had time to rest up after the victory celebration with Cheerleader Melissa. That is one fine lady and a great representative of the Heartland Ladies Division. A wild end to the night with the inconclusive top contenders tag match thanks to Tim Donst and War Machine. Hopefully that situation can be resolved soon. Roderick Strong is moving up the ranks and he is a definite threat to the Chikara Grand Championship held by Ricochet. The Roughnecks picked up a huge win for themselves in the Tag League which is good to see. The Courtney Rush vs. Madison Eagles bout was a great one and a nice win for Rush.

They are accompanied by GIANT BERNARD, who is fixated on his clipboard. Bernard is dressed in a short-sleeve dress shirt with necktie and pocket protector, and a pencil lodged behind each ear.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to another sensational Saturday Night broadcast of CHIKARA! We have so much action lined up tonight, you won't believe your eyes.

Warlord: Just what these fine Central Michigan fans deserve, right here in the beautiful city of Mount Pleasant!

Daytondave: Hooray, Chippewas! Now that we have completed tonight's cheap pop, let's check in with Giant Bernard on the competition for the Generic Secondary Championship. What's in store for us tonight?

Bernard: Tonight, I have put together a 10-man Battle Royal for slot number 2 in the Triple Threat Match for the Generic Secondary Championship!

Daytondave: Sounds like fun- but we have plenty of excitement all night long. The big prize- the CHIKARA Grand Championship- will be defended tonight in a rematch, pitting the current champion RICOCHET against the former champ, DELIRIOUS! We're gonna rock this town tonight, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!



ARIK CANNON pinned JERRY LYNN**
The night kicked off with a major upset! The fans were solidly behind Jerry Lynn, but Cannon foiled Lynn's attempted Lung Blower, sending Lynn crashing to the canvas. Cannon dropped down with an Avalanche to knock the wind out of Jerry, and as Lynn staggered to one knee, Cannon nailed Lynn with a Glimmering Warlock and covered him for the pin!


Daytondave: Are you serious? Cannon won that match out of nowhere!

Bernard: There was less than a three percent chance of Cannon winning in that situation.

Warlord: Jerry Lynn was snakebit tonight.



THE KILLER DEATH MACHINES (JESSICKA HAVOK***** & NEVAEH) defeated ANGELINA LOVE** & LUFISTO**
Tonight's ladies' tag match was a war! Lufisto got the action started quickly with a cheap shot on Nevaeh, drawing a stern warning from BIG JIM THE ENFORCER. Nevaeh rallied and caught Lufisto with a guillotine choke. Lufisto was weakened, but finally managed to struggle to tag in Angelina. Jessicka squared off with Angelina, but Jessicka missed with a big boot and Angelina nailed Jessicka with a spinning wheel kick. Jessicka went down, and Angelina and Lufisto went to work. Lufisto drilled Jessicka with a Diving Star Headbutt, and Angelina followed with a Hollering Elbow! Angelina covered Jessicka, but Nevaeh stirmed into the ring and annihilated Angelina with a sliding Lariat! Big Jim cleared the ring, and it was Jessicka who was the first to manage a tag. Nevaeh hit the ring as Angelina was struggling, and Nevaeh executed a textbook Backpack Stunner on Angelina for the pin!


Warlord: She got all of that one!

Daytondave: Nevaeh owned that match! That may have been her best performance- and she carried the Machines to victory tonight.



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
HALLOWICKED & FRIGHTMARE (3-2) vs. TEAM TREMENDOUS (3-2)
The masked men were at the top of their game tonight! Frightmare came out on point against Detective Barry, dropping Barry with a Double Knee Smash. Hallowicked joined Frightmare to flatten Barry with a deadly face-first double suplex! Daytondave: A Gauntlet Match! We have never had a Gauntlet Match in the Heartland. I can't wait! Giant Bernard, thank you for a great concept behind the Generic Secondary Championship. All right, fans- we have reached the mid-point of tonight's show, so it's time to hear from Larry Sweeney with tonight's edition of 'Sweet Talk'!

The scene shifts to the set of 'Sweet Talk', where LARRY SWEENEY is fuming with rage. He is accompanied by a scowling JESSIE MCKAY.

Sweeney: All right- keep the noise down, you Chippewa Chumps. This is NOT a good time for Sweet 'N Kimber, Incorporated. Yes, I know- KIMBER LEE lost her rematch for the Heartland Ladies' Championship against CHEERLEADER MELISSA.

Jessie: I HATE HER!

Sweeney: And I am furious at that little punk CRUEFAN for sticking his nose where it doesn't belong.

Jessie: I HATE HIM TOO!

Sweeney: Nobody likes that little schmuck. And to think he wants Melissa's phone number. What a joke! Of course, nobody likes her either.

Jessie: Larry- let ME take care of Melissa. I have a plan!

Jessie whispers to Sweeney. Larry ponders for a moment, then breaks into a grin.

Larry: Hahaha! Great idea! Cheerleader Melissa- Jessie challenges you to a No Disqualification Grudge Match! Book it, Daytondave!

Sweeney: Now that we have THAT settled, let's talk about the indies. Vegas Championship Wrestling is in the spotlight this week. They put on a great show, with BRIAN CAGE defeating BAD BREATH TITO in the Main Event.

Jessie: Wait- isn't that BAD DUDE TITO?

Sweeney: Maybe it's BURRITO BREATH. Doesn't matter! The really cool thing is that VCW will be presenting the Warzone in just a few weeks. I can't wait to see what BIG DADDY KANTER has up his sleeve for this card. That man is a promoting genius!

Sweeney: Somebody better check the temperature up at Ring of Honor: New York. I think hell is fixin' to freeze over! For the first time ever, CHEESEBURGER won a match! Will wonders never cease? DARIUS CARTER- you need to get out of the wrestling business and go find your life's work. Seriously.

Sweeney: Last but not least, the cats over at Evolve put up a strong showing this week, with a surprise ending. CHUCK TAYLOR picked up a "W" against ZACH SABRE, JR! Hard to believe that Sabre went down- that's a great win for a guy like Chuckie T.

2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
DREW GALLOWAY & JOHNNY GARGANO (3-2) vs. THE TRIBE (4-1)
Warrior and Lion took care of business tonight! Johnny and Drew were overwhelmed from the beginning of the match, and things took a turn for the worse when the Tribe isolated Johnny in their own half of the ring. Gargano was unable to escape the punishment, and the Tribe worked together efficiently to finish Gargano with the Reservation Devastation.


WINNERS: THE TRIBE


Daytondave: Great work by the Tribe tonight! Once again they proved why they are previous King Of The Indies Tag Team Champions. We're now finished with Block Seven- so let's take a look at the current standings:

Warlord: That was definitely a big win for the Tribe tonight! They are at the top of the Division!

Daytondave: And they will face JOEY RYAN & SCORPIO SKY in the next block. That will be a do-or-die matchup for Ryan and Sky! All right, fans- time to move forward, even though I don't think we are going to like what's coming next.



NO DISQUALIFICATION GRUDGE MATCH
WAR MACHINE (RAYMOND ROWE* & HANSON*) w/TROY XAVIER defeated CHEECH** & COLIN DELANEY*****
Delaney and Cheech were decided underdogs, but came to the ring with game faces on. Hanson started the match for War Machine and dominated both opponents. Delaney and Cheech absorbed plenty of punishment, but when they put their heads together, the underdogs managed a flurry of double-teams against both Hanson and then Rowe. Delaney hit a flying elbow drop on Rowe, but Troy Xavier interrupted the referee's count while Hanson picked up Delaney and slammed him down with a powerbomb! Delaney was nearly broken in half, and Cheech ran into a massive lariat from Rowe which left Cheech in a heap on the mat. The Machine were unhindered as they hoisted Delaney with a massive War Machine for an easy pin.

After the decision, Hanson, Rowe, and Troy celebrated over the fallen foes. But the fans erupted with the appearance of MIKE QUACKENBUSH & MISTER ZERO! Quack and Zero charged the ring with steel chairs and took down the big men! Rowe rolled away to safety, but Hanson took a stiff chair shot from Zero and crumpled to the mat. Hanson took several more shots from both men before Rowe and Troy were able to pull him to safety.


Warlord: Great Caesar's Ghost! It's on!

Daytondave: It is a war, without a doubt. And I am not too sure about the way that Hanson is holding that right arm. He took a couple of nasty shots from those chairs!

Warlord: And I don't like the looks of Troy Xavier.

Daytondave: He is one angry man after what just went down.

Warlord: True- but I never liked his looks in the first place.

Daytondave facepalms.

Daytondave: All right, fans- it's been an action-packed night here in Mt. Pleasant- but the biggest match of the night is coming up next!



MAIN EVENT: CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP
DELIRIOUS* pinned RICOCHET****
Another exciting aerial battle between two unpredictable rivals! Once again, Ricochet was able to withstand the early onslaught from Delirious, this time by fleeing the ring. Action on the arena floor was fast and furious, and the fans gasped when Delirious took a nasty spill on the concrete after missing a suicide dive! Ricochet tried to take charge, but Delirious slowed things down by trapping the champion in a painful Cobra Stretch! Ricochet battled his way to the bottom rope to break the hold, and both men were slow to get back to their feet. Ricochet was the first to rise, and went for broke, launching himself with the 630 Senton. Delirious had the presence of mind to roll away from Ricochet, and the champion slammed hard to the mat! Delirious dragged himself up and dropped Ricochet with the Chemical Imbalance II and covered him for the three count!


DELIRIOUS WINS THE CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP


Daytondave: Wow! Ladies and gentlemen, history has been made here in Mt. Pleasant! Delirious has recaptured the CHIKARA Grand Championship! Both guys went for broke in that match, but Delirious capitalized on his opportunity and has once again risen to the top of the mountain here in CHIKARA. Of course, this will set up a best two out of three falls showdown that will be off the charts! All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight!
