NWA Heartland welcomes a new network affiliate to our twice-weekly broadcasts! FILSINGER.COM has become a new syndication outlet, just in time for the upcoming Heartland Havoc XVI pay-per-view this Friday night! NWA Heartland Card #125 Eblen Center, Cooksville, Tennessee March 24, 2008 The show opens with COMMISSIONER DAYTONDAVE in the ring, holding a microphone. He is unshaven, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with his face partially covered, and tattered blue jeans as he addresses the crowd.Daytondave: Hello, fans. Welcome to Heartland Wrestling. Tonight we have our weekly broadcast of Monday Night Adrenaline for you. This will be the last show before the big Heartland Havoc XVI show. We have two very important matches tonight as we prepare for the big pay-per-view. And, to help us out with tonight's broadcast, we have another of our applicants for the position of co-host. I'm afraid that if CHRISTY HEMME doesn't make it back by Havoc, we'll need to consider a permanent replacement. (Daytondave sighs.) It's not like we've had any stellar auditions so far. So, allow me to introduce tonight's guest co-host- Before Daytondave can finish his remarks, the song "The Game" by Disturbed plays overhead. LACEY prances confidently to the ring, dressed immaculately in a black business suit. She walks to Daytondave and takes over the microphone.Lacey: Commissioner Daytondave- look at you! You look like CRAP! You have really let yourself go. You used to be the best-dressed and best-looking Commissioner in the entire NWA- and now you look like BILL BELICHICK, for pete's sake! Now shape up, and let's get this show moving! We have two feature match-ups tonight. We'll see a tag team #1 contenders' match with THE FANTASTICS taking on TEAM TSUNAMI. The winners of that match will get a title shot against the NEW AGE OUTLAWS at Havoc XVI ! Also at Havoc, NWA World Champion BRET HART returns to the Heartland to defend his title. His opponent will be determined in tonight's Main Event! As you know, only a select few are eligible. And tonight, Commissioner Daytondave has selected two of the Heartland representatives in the NWA Top 15 to vie for the right to face Bret Hart for the title! It will be THE ROCK versus BATISTA in our Main Event- but that's not all! Since I am here tonight, in a position of leadership, I have decided to recognize another man from the Top 15. Tonight's Main Event will be a Triple Threat match for the right to face Hart at Havoc- including this man, the Number Seven ranked wrestler in the NWA, AUSTIN ARIES!The tune, "Fire It Up" by Black Label Society blares overhead as Aries storms to the ring.Daytondave: Now, wait just a minute! I never authorized- Lacey: Thank you! Thank you very much! Now, let's get tonight's action started! (Tonight's referee: Brady Boone)HWA EXHIBITION TOURNAMENT: SEMIFINALSD!CK RICK defeated MATT STRYKER by disqualificationThese bitter rivals got into it quickly, as Stryker took control early and pitched Rick out of the ring. The brawl broke loose immediately, and the cowardly Rick ducked for cover. Stryker pressed the issue, refusing to return to the ring despite repeated warnings by Brady Boone. Finally, Boone called for the bell and disqualified the hot-headed Stryker. CODY HAWK pinned BENJAMIN KIMERAThe HWA Icon went right to work on his larger opponent, dropping him with a slick toe hold, then never letting Kimera off the mat. After wearing him down, Cody lifted Kimera and planted him with the Electric Chair Drop to earn a clean pinfall. Daytondave: Another fine night for the HWA Exhibition Tournament! We'll see the Championship Match of the tourney at Havoc XVI when the Icon, Cody Hawk, meets a very tough opponent in D!ck Rick! Lacey: Fine night? These guys are a bunch of cupcakes! D!ck Rick is kinda cute... but the only reason he made it through the tournament was two lame disqualifications. Daytondave, I want you to make the championship match a No Disqualification Bout! Daytondave: Not a bad idea, I suppose... Lacey: Done! Now let's get to the next match. I'm ready to see the REAL Heartland superstars in action! PAUL ORNDORFF defeated JESSE "THE BODY" VENTURA (w/ MELINA) by countoutVentura came to the ring heavily taped, still bearing the wounds from his meeting with the Mountie and the shock stick. Orndorff took advantage, and dominated the match. Ventura fought gamely, managing to kick out of the piledriver to keep the match going! But in his weakened condition, The Body was never able to mount any significant offense. He tried to seek respite outside of the ring, but Orndorff followed him to the outside and hurled him into the steel railing. Ventura tumbled over the railing, landing in the crowd, and was too severely weakened to beat the count back to the ring. Daytondave: Ventura put up a good fight, but he just didn't have it tonight. Another example of how THE MOUNTIE has made a major impact on the Heartland since his arrival. Lacey: Somebody needs to get that shock stick and ram it up- Daytondave: Lacey! This is a family show! Mr. Filsinger has young children! Lacey: Listen to you, kissing up to Mr. Filsinger. Although I have to admit, he is kinda cute... WAHOO McDANIEL pinned BLACKJACK LANZAIn a battle of rugged Texas allies, McDaniel and Lanza held nothing back, tearing into each other and wailing away! McDaniel took the advantage after levelling Lanza with a devastating clothesline off the ropes! Before Lanza could regain his feet, Wahoo was on him with a powerful Tomahawk Chop, putting Lanza down for the count. Daytondave: Now that's the kind of action that makes the Heartland what it is today. Old school, hard-hitting, nitty-gritty combat. Lacey: Please! That was nothing but 600 pounds of ugly blubber waddling around in the ring! You can have your old school. I like a sleek, athletic, high-flying and fearless competitor like.... AUSTIN ARIES!Daytondave: Yeah, we know all about you and Austin Aries. A good Commissioner would never have shown that kind of favoritism, inserting Aries into a contenders' match even after he lost to Batista earlier this month. Lacey: Like you know anything about being a good Commissioner? You're so busy fawning over Christy Hemme that you can't even think straight any more! But don't you worry, Daytondave, before the end of the night, we'll have you feeling better and you will forget all about Christy, I promise you. Daytondave: What? Lacey: On to the next match! KILLER KOWALSKI defeated JAY BRISCOE (w/ SARA DEL REY) by disqualificationGiving up 7 inches and 85 pounds, Jay Briscoe took the fight to his gigantic opponent, coming out aggressively with chops and dropkicks, but failing to take the big man off his feet. Kowalski managed to slow down Briscoe with an overhead body slam, then began to lay down the heavy lumber. Briscoe was getting pummelled, and rolled out of the ring to catch a breather. Kowalski followed, leaping off the apron with a thunderous double axe-handle. Fearing for his life, Jay pitched a steel chair into the path of the oncoming locomotive, smacking Kowalski squarely in the chest! Kowalski went down hard, and Brady Boone was forced to call for the disqualification. After the decision, a frustrated Briscoe began putting the boots to the downed Kowalski. THE MOUNTIE rushed from the locker room to assist his partner, but was intercepted on the ring ramp by THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS! BG and Kip both wore their "Great White North Sucks" T-shirts as they pummelled Mountie. Kip managed to get the shock stick away from Mountie, but couldn't seem to figure out how to activate the electric shock! Kip shrugged, and raised the stick to continue beating the Mountie. But before Kip could swing the stick, NWA WORLD CHAMPION BRET "HITMAN" HART stormed out of the locker room and tackled Kip to the floor! Hart and Mountie managed to beat back the Outlaws and chase them back to the dressing room. Hitman disappeared behind the curtain, and emerged with the Canadian Flag! Kowalski and Mountie joined Hart on the podium, waving the flag and raising their hands high as Jay and Sara exited the ring area in defeat.Daytondave: What a surprise! The NWA World Champion getting his hands dirty for the honor of his native country. I'm just thankful that JILLIAN HALL isn't here again to sing "O Canada". Lacey: Thank heavens for small favors. Wait! Daytondave- we've just gotten word that there is a fight in the locker room! Run back there and check it out for us! Daytondave: WHAT? The host is supposed to anchor the show- the job of the co-host is to report from back- Lacey: NOW! Get back there and get me a story! Flustered, Daytondave leaves his post and heads backstage.
The scene shifts backstage, where DELIRIOUS and TOMMY ROGERS are shouting at each other. DAFFNEY tries desperately to keep them apart. Rogers sticks a finger in Delirious' face, prompting TAKESHI MORISHIMA to come to the defense of his partner. Morishima shoves Tommy, but BOBBY FULTON jumps on Takeshi's back! Delirious pulls Fulton to the ground, and in an instant all four men are brawling! Rogers lunges after Delirious, and the two exchange punches and tumble toward the entrance to the ring. Fulton takes a swing at Morishima, but the giant Japanese blocks the punch and smacks Fulton solidly with a head butt! Fulton collapses to the floor, and we he gets up, a cut has opened over his left eye. Daffney shrieks and squeals as the action spills through the curtain and on to the ring ramp. The trusty Brady Boone manages to settle the brawlers, sending each team to their respective corner.Lacey: Can you imagine that? All this hubbub over a goofy-looking, low-class broad like Daffney? What is wrong with you people? WRESTLE!!! NWA HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS MATCH
THE FANTASTICS (TOMMY ROGERS & BOBBY FULTON w/ DAFFNEY) defeated TEAM TSUNAMI (DELIRIOUS & TAKESHI MORISHIMA)A great match! Both teams came out aggressively in the wake of the brawl, trading the advantage back and forth with frequent tags. The power of Morishima controlled the early segments of the match, as both Rogers and Fulton took their lumps. Delirious tagged in and crushed both foes with the Shadows Over Hell, and it looked like Team Tsunami had the momentum in their favor. But the Fantastics battled back, hitting Delirious with a flurry of double-team moves. Morishima tagged in, and was promptly nailed with a picture-perfect double dropkick off the second turnbuckle! Before Delirious could recover, Fulton climbed to the top rope and Rogers hurled him onto Morishima with a Rocket Launcher! Fulton scored the pinfall before Delirious could scramble back to make the save. After the decision, Daffney slid into the ring and began to celebrate with the Fantastics. Delirious ran around the ring in a frenzy, babbling and snarling. Daffney sidled up close to Tommy Rogers, then pointed at Delirious and laughed hysterically! Delirious appeared shocked, then retreated to the corner of the ring, squatting silently, speechless and motionless. Daffney continued to taunt Delirious, laughing and pointing as she celebrated with Rogers and Fulton and left the ring.Delirious remained in his trance after Daffney left. Morishima approached him cautiously, but the masked man remained frozen. After observing his partner with curiosity, Morishima shrugged, lifted Delirious over his shoulder, and carried him back to the dressing room.Lacey: Awww... how sad... Delirious got his little heart broken! That Daffney chick is smarter than I gave her credit for! Oh, Daytondave, since you are back stage, why don't you just go ahead and play tonight's special video feature? Daytondave: What? That is the job of the co-host! I am the anchor, you are the assistant. Didn't you read the job description when you applied? Lacey: Come on, Daytondave, don't be so old-fashioned! Don't tell me you're afraid of a strong woman on your staff? Daytondave rolls his eyes and heads to the video room as the camera follows. As he opens the door, a soft, manicured hand reaches out, grabs him by the shirt, and pulls him into the room! Daytondave tumbles to the floor. Before the camera can enter, the video room door slams shut and locks. The camera remains fixed on the closed door for a moment, then the scene shifts back to ringside. Lacey smiles and winks at the camera. Lacey: Fans, I am afraid that the Commissioner has been unavoidably detained. Guess I'll take it from here! Let's head to the main event triple threat match! MAIN EVENT: NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE #1 CONTENDERS' MATCHBATISTA defeated AUSTIN ARIES and THE ROCKIn a tightly contested triple threat match, all three men battled throughout the arena for the right to challenge for the World Title! The Rock electrified the crowd in the early going, planting Aries with the People's Elbow, but Batista prevented the pinfall. The Rock took over on Batista, dropping him with a DDT, but on this occasion Aries made the save. When Aries tried to sneak a pinfall on the downed Batista, a fracas broke out between Rock and Aries! As Aries and Rock brawled, Batista made it to his feet and hurled himself at Rock, plastering him with a spear! Aries made the save to prevent the pin, then jumped on Rock in an attempt to steal the victory. Batista would have none of it! The Animal lifted Aries, spun him around, and planted him on the canvas with an earth-shattering spinebuster slam, then covered him for the three count and the victory! Lacey: No!!! Dang it! Ladies and gentlemen, Batista is your winner of tonight's match. He'll be taking on BRET HART in the World Title match at Havoc XVI. We'll see you Friday night, from Nashville, Tennessee, for the pay-per-view! Fans, it is my honor to serve as your hostess for tonight's show. I like this new job! A commotion arises at the entry way. DAYTONDAVE emerges from behind the curtain. His sweatshirt is gone and he is wearing only a white t-shirt over his tattered jeans. His t-shirt is ripped and the collar stained with lipstick. RAIN emerges from behind the curtain, chasing after Daytondave as he sprints to the announce table and grabs the microphone.Daytondave: Lacey- GET OUT! Rain- GET OUT! I am a professional broadcaster and an NWA official! I will NOT allow my responsibility to be compromised! Not by you two scheming little wenches! I had better not see either of you here without official business, or you will be FIRED! Rain reaches up and SLAPS Daytondave. RENE GOULET and his Elite Security Forces immediately storm the scene and escort Rain and Lacey from the ring area. Daytondave: Fans, my apologies for that... situation. And congratulations to Batista for coming out victorious in tonight's Main Event! We'll look forward to the showdown between Batista and Bret Hart at Havoc XVI ! The care is shaping up very nicely! NWA Heartland Havoc XVI: Tradition Must Die Thompson-Boling Arena, Knoxville, Tennessee March 28, 2008 The show opens with COMMISSIONER DAYTONDAVE in the center of the ring, dressed in a very conservative but sharp Madison Saxxon pinstripe suit. He is clean shaven and freshly styled, in contrast to his previous appearance as he addresses the crowd.Daytondave: Good evening, Knoxville! NWA Heartland Wrestling is coming back at you with Heartland Havoc XVI! It is our privilege to be here at the corner of Lake Loudon Boulevard and Phillip Fulmer Way. The buildup for this event has been as big as anything I can remember in the history of the Heartland. We have two big title matches tonight, as well as three major grudge matches! But no match is more anticipated than the showdown between our own "NATURE BOY" RIC FLAIR and his bitter enemy from Tradition, "STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN.The sound of glass breaking fills the arena as the music of Stone Cold plays. STEVE AUSTIN, BRADSHAW, FAROOQ, SANDMAN, and ODB stride to the ring, surrounding the Commissioner. Austin crosses his arms, standing nose-to-nose with the Commissioner. Stone Cold draws back his hand and Daytondave flinches. Stone Cold rips the microphone from Daytondave as his allies laugh.Austin: What's the matter, Mr. Commissioner? A little weak in the knees? I see you're all gussied up for the big show tonight. (Austin tugs on the lapel of Daytondave's suit coat.) Are you expecting company? Well that's too bad, because CHRISTY HEMME hasn't been seen for weeks. Maybe if your hormones are giving you problems, my drinkin buddy ODB can say hello to your little friend again. But I didn't come out here to talk about your personal problems, you overdressed piece of garbage, I came here to give a message to the Nature Boy. Flair, you have about two hours to get your affairs in order, because Stone Cold is comin' for ya. And after my Tradition buddies take out the Horsemen, you won't have nobody here to watch your back while I stomp a mudhole in your ass! The music from 2001: A Space Odyssey plays overhead and RIC FLAIR arrives at the top of the ramp. He is accompanied by TERRY GORDY, RIC FLAIR, ARN ANDERSON, and TRACI BROOKS.Flair: WOOO!!!! Stone Cold Steve Austin- you slimy rattlesnake! Tonight it is you and me! Man to man! Falls count anywhere! The Nature Boy has been waiting for this night. No back-jumping, no double teaming, no holds barred. Tonight, Austin, is the night that you will pay the price! Sandman brandishes his cane and prepares to make a move on the Horsemen, but Austin holds him back. Austin turns to Daytondave and sends a kick to his stomach. But much to Austin's amazement, CHUCK NORRIS is now standing between Austin and the Commissioner. Norris deftly blocks Austin's kick, and Stone Cold stops in his tracks. Norris smiles and points to the exit. Austin glowers, then leads the Tradition Team out of the ring and back to the locker room.Daytondave: Chuck Norris! Where the heck did you come from? Daytondave turns to thank Norris, who is nowhere to be seen.Daytondave: Well! You can see already the level of intensity here in Knoxville tonight. It's gonna be a terrific show! We have our opening contest ready to go now. This is the finals of the HWA Exhibition Tournament. Enjoy! HWA EXHIBITION TOURNAMENT: CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH(Referee: Heather Owens)CODY HAWK pinned DICK RICKGiven the rivalry and the stakes, the match started slowly. Each man tried to outwit the other, but the veteran Hawk gradually gained the edge. After the drop toe hold / surfboard earned Cody a near fall, Dick took the match to the floor and gained a momentary advantage. But Cody kept his cool, sliding back into the ring and greeting Dick with a thunderous power slam for a clean victory. Daytondave: Congratulations to Cody Hawk! Cody has been a mainstay in the HWA from its inception, and has been Heavyweight Champion on four separate occasions. And now, he is the winner of our HWA Exhibition Tournament! GRUDGE MATCH: STEEL CAGE(Referee: Joe Kopasz)TEAM CANADA (THE MOUNTIE & KILLER KOWALSKI) defeated PAUL ORNDORFF & KEN PATERAThe war waged on between these factions in a brutal cage match. All four men wailed away at each other, but it was the powerful Kowalski who was the dominant force. Both Orndorff and Patera were raked across the cage and bloodied, but fought on gamely. Orndorff caught Mountie with a vicious backbreaker out of nowhere, and the tide turned. Mr. Wonderful tortured Mountie, nearly choking him out, and grinding his face cruelly into the steel cage until his face became the crimson mask. But Mountie refused to quit, and managed to struggle back to the corner and bring Kowalski in. The fresh Killer overpowered and overwhelmed the weary Orndorff. When Kowalski went to the Claw Hold, Orndorff struggled valiantly before he went out cold on the mat and the match was over. Daytondave: That was an ugly match in every respect. A worthless feud which started with a misunderstanding between Mountie and Patera comes to this. Kowalski has really established himself as a dangerous man- just ask Paul Orndorff. And now that the Canadians know who was truly responsible for the "Great White North Sucks" campaign, you had better believe that there will be hell to pay. HEARTLAND VS. TRADITION: ELIMINATION SHOWDOWN!(Referee: Danny Davis)ARN ANDERSON (H) pinned FAROOQ (T) with a SpinebusterOutside the ring, SANDMAN clubbed TERRY GORDY with the Singapore Cane and opened a gash on the back of his head!TERRY GORDY (H) pinned THE SANDMAN (T) after a Top Rope Cross Body BlockODB pulled TRACI BROOKS off the apron and slammed her head to the security rail!BRADSHAW (T) pinned TERRY GORDY (H) with the Clothesline From Hell ARN ANDERSON (H) forced BRADSHAW (T) to tap out to the Boston CrabODB is left alone against Traci, Blanchard and Anderson!ODB pinned TRACI BROOKS after the Dirty Dozen / Thesz PressAs ODB squared off against Blanchard and Anderson, SABU rushed the ring and blew fire onto Blanchard!ODB pinned TULLY BLANCHARD after a Top Rope Turnbuckle SplashAfter Blanchard went down in flames, ODB made the quick cover and Danny Davis counted the pin! ODB quickly rolled over and nipped up to her feet as the last remaining Horseman, ARN ANDERSON, climbed into the ring. Sabu waved at ODB to leave the ring, but ODB responded to Sabu with an obscene gesture and launched into Anderson with a barrage of punches and forearms. Double A was taken aback at first, but quickly kicked it into gear. Anderson and ODB went toe-to-toe for several minutes, until Anderson whipped ODB into the ropes, dropped to one knee, and drove his shoulder into her lower abdomen. ODB doubled over, and Anderson immediately grabbed her in a front face lock, preparing for a DDT! At that moment, Sandman, Farooq, and Bradshaw rushed the ring and began a furious beatdown on Anderson. Terry Gordy returned to the ring for Team Heartland, but with Blanchard incapacitated, the Tradition team had the numbers and Anderson and Gordy took a pounding. Without warning, SHAWN MICHAELS dashed to the ring and joined the fracas! With the odds evened, the Heartland trio battled back as ODB and Traci brawled on the arena floor. As the war waged on, Sabu sneaked back into the ring and began preparing another fireball! Before he could let fly, RANDY ORTON sprinted to the ring and levelled Sabu with the RKO! Orton went on a one-man rampage, throwing Farooq out of the ring! Gordy and Anderson took Sandman to the floor, then Orton lined up Bradshaw and planted him with a stunning RKO! The remaining brawlers spilled out of the ring, leaving Bradshaw out cold in the center of the ring.Daytondave: Randy Orton! Randy Orton! We haven't seen Orton since he got whipped by THE BLACKJACKS! But it was Orton who made the difference in that brawl, planting two of those Tradition scumbags and leaving Bradshaw laying. I've never been the biggest Randy Orton fan, but tonight he showed his toughness at the biggest moment! I've been informed by Danny Davis that the last match has been ruled a no-contest, but I think it's clear who got the best of that situation. Now, would someone please scrape Bradshaw up out of the ring so we can finish the show? NWA HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP(Referee: Brady Boone)THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS defeated THE FANTASTICS to retain the championshipAfter the violent brawl in the prior match, the Fantastics and the Outlaws thrilled the crowd with a crisp and competitive tag team title bout! After 35 minutes of back-and-forth action, the finish came when the Outlaws caught Bobby Fulton with a double team hot shot. Kip fended off Tommy Rogers while BG planted Fulton with a pump handle slam to score the pinfall. Daytondave: What a match! I had no idea what to expect from those teams- between DAFFNEY and DELIRIOUS, and TEAM CANADA, both these squads have major issues to settle, but tonight they both focused on the match at hand and the quest for the gold- and the champs came out on top! MAIN EVENT: NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
BRET "THE HITMAN" HART pinned BATISTA to retain the title!(Referee: Joe Kopasz)An epic confrontation! It was the power of Batista versus the precision of the Hitman. Inside the ring and out, Hart and Batista battled. Batista controlled much of the action, but Hart took his best shots and kept coming. Out of nowhere, Hitman drilled Batista with a flying clothesline and changed the momentum. Hart worked the lower back of Batista, hurling him against the side of the ring and later dropping him across the knee in a painful backbreaker. But Hart was unable to manuver Batista into the Sharpshooter, and the battle raged on. Batista made a comeback, clobbering Hart with the Demon Lariat! Hart lay stunned, and Batista delivered a thunderous Batista Bomb! Hart just managed to get his foot over the bottom rope and the match continued! Batista went to the middle rope to deliver a lariat, but Hart ducked away and the Animal crashed to the mat. As Batista rose, Hart picked him up and dropped him across the knee in another perfectly executed backbreaker, and Batista was unable to kick out before Joe Kopasz completed the three-count! After the decision, Batista rose to his feet, went to the side of the ring, and kicked the bottom rope in frustration. He turned to Hart, offered him and handshake and a hug, and left the ring in disappointment. Hitman mounted the second turnbuckle and held the belt high as the fans cheered.Daytondave: A classy display indeed by both men after an outstanding match! Congratulations to Bret Hart for a successful defense of the World Championship. Congratulations also to Batista- more than once I thought he was in the verge of regaining the gold. The big Animal seems more focused these days, and more intent on winning matches than getting embroiled in feuds and drinking champgne in hot tubs. He is one big locomotive and I pity the man who steps into his path! All right, fans, it is now time for the big grudge match- the most talked about match in the Heartland for quite some time! And I daresay, as Commissioner, I could not do this match justice with my own commentary. So, to help me announce this match, I have invited a special guest commentator to join me at ringside. This is a man who has been around the block with both these guys. Here to lend is expertise, please welcome, THE AMERICAN DREAM, DUSTY RHODES!The "Common Man" theme plays overhead as Dusty bursts through the curtain and dances on the platform. The fans cheer wildly as Rhodes struts to the announcers' table and puts on the headset.Daytondave: Well, Big Dust, you're no Christy Hemme, but you sure can cut a rug! Rhodes: Thank you, Daytondave! It is my honor and my privilege- if you will- to come out here a do a little commentatin tonight! Let's get this party started! HEARTLAND vs. TRADITION GRUDGE MATCH: FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE(Referee: Danny Davis)The match starts off in the ring, where Austin and Flair light into each other in a flurry of punches and chops. Flair chops Austin repeatedly, reddening his chest, but Austin refuses to back down!Rhodes: Will you look at that, Commissioner? Dere's some serious clubberin' goin down in Knoxville tonight! Action quickly spills out of the ring! The brawl continues up the ramp. Austin appears to be gaining control, but Flair lunges at him, dropping low and driving his knee into the outside of Austin's knee. Austin's knee buckles and he collapses on the platform!Daytondave: Wow! What a smart strategy by Flair. Even in this emotional brawl, the Nature Boy has a game plan. Just look how coolly he executed that manuver! Austin hobbles away with Flair in hot pursuit. Flair grabs Austin by the shoulder, spins him around, and delivers a vicious chop across his chest!Rhodes: OOOWWWIIIIEEEE!!! Dat Nature Boy can chop you down like an axe! Believe you me, Commissioner, I have felt dat many times before! Austin regains his bearings and grabs Flair by the back of the neck. He launches Flair through the steel door into the backstage area! Flair hits the door hard before bursting through it, clearly stunned. He staggers forward a few more steps, then flops facefirst onto the concrete floor.Daytondave: Down goes Flair! Down goes Flair! Come on, Nature Boy, get that guy! Austin presses the attack. He picks up Flair by the back of the trunks, and hurls him into the men's restroom! The camera follows as Austin attempts to force Flair's face into a commode, but the Nature Boy counters with an elbow to the midsection and escapes the threatened swirlie. But as Flair gets to his feet, Stone Cold kicks him in the stomach and drops him with a Stunner on the tile floor! Austin goes for the cover, but a figure bursts out from the next stall and delivers a swift kick to the side of Austin's head, interrupting the three-count. The camera pans up to reveal TRACI BROOKS coming to the rescue of Flair!Rhodes: Dere's a woman in the men's room! Dere's a woman in the men's room! Holy cow, Daytondave, dere's a woman in the men's room! Flair has escaped the pin attempt, but is still in big trouble. He gets to his knees, hands in front of his face, begging off. Austin smirks, moving in confidently to continue his attack, but Flair reaches up and gouges his eyes!Daytondave: Ohhh... the dirtiest player in the game has struck! Austin staggers back as Flair gets to his feet and levels him with another vicious chop across the chest. Nature Boy shouts, "WOOO!" and stomps on Austin's injured leg! Austin grimaces, then scrambles on hands and knees out of the men's room. Austin gets through the door, and Flair cuts him off with a vicious chop block from behind!Rhodes: Whoa there Mr. Commissioner! I ain't no genius, but even I can see what's coming next! Flair hurls Austin back through the curtain, where he collapses on the platform. Flair shouts, "Now... we go to school!" He grabs the injured leg of Austin and spins him into a Figure-4 leg lock! Austin writhes in pain on the floor as Danny Davis kneels beside him, watching for a submission. Austin grits his teeth and curses, but refuses to tap out. He appears to be weakening, until out of nowhere, RODERICK STRONG appears from backstage and begins putting the boots to Flair!Daytondave: Roderick Strong is back! What a scumbag! What a turncoat! He broke up the Figure-4 just as Flair was on the brink of victory! Strong continues to put the boots to Flair until ARN ANDERSON emerges from the back and levels Roderick with a hard left hand. Anderson and Strong brawl their way back through the curtains to the backstage area. Austin rolls away from Flair, limping down the ramp. He pulls back the apron cover at the side of the ring, and appears to be reaching for an object under the ring, but Flair catches him and shoves him back into the ring. Austin is hobbled, but is able to run to the far ropes. As Flair slides into the ring, Austin topples him with a Thesz Press and begins pummeling him with punches, briefly stopping to display both his middle fingers into Flair's face before he continues to rain the punches down.Rhodes: Right hands! Right hands! Right hands! Austin finishes his flurry, and tries to drag the Nature Boy to his feet. He appears to be setting up another Stunner! But Flair gets to his knees and delivers a devastating uppercut low blow to Austin, dropping him to the mat in agony.Daytondave: OOOHHH.... Austin just got nailed.... deep in the heart of Texas! As Stone Cold writhes on the mat, Flair quickly covers him. He plants both feet on the middle rope for leverage. Referee Danny Davis drops to the mat and quickly slaps his hand 1-2-3 on the canvas! Davis gets to his feet and raises Flair's hand in victory. Rhodes: Dat's da match! Dere's da winner! Ric Flair just pinned Stone Cold Steve Austin! Flair slides out of the ring as Austin storms to his feet in a rage! Austin stomps around the ring, cussing and making obscene gestures at Flair. Flair glares back at Austin from the ring ramp, brushes his hair back, and shouts "WOOO!!!" Austin lunges after Flair, but is restrained by Danny Davis. In frustration, he pushes Davis to the ropes and kicks him in the stomach, then drops him with a Stunner!Quick as a flash, CHUCK NORRIS slides into the ring. He spins arounds and sends a hard side kick, burying his cowboy boot into Austin's midsection. Austin staggers back to the corner, but Norris traps him there and delivers a flurry of 36 rapid-fire chops into Stone Cold's midsection in under three seconds! Austin slumps to the corner on the mat, gasping, as Chuck Norris stands over him. COURTENEY COX and MIKE GOLIC eneter the ring, and Courteney takes the microphone. Courteney: Now wait just one moment, Steve Austin! You will NEVER set foot in the Heartland again... but we aren't finished with you! The Heartland Championship Committee has conducted its own independent investigation into the assault on SO CAL VAL. Fortunately, the skyboxes at Broadbent Arena are equipped with security cameras! Play the tape! Footage is displayed from the Broadbent Arena sky box during the recent Monday Night Adrenaline. So Cal Val is seated on the sofa when Austin enters the box. He sits next to Val on the sofa, sliding his arm around her. Val sneers and pulls away. Austin says something to her, and Val turns and slaps him! She gets up to leave the sky box, but Austin spins her around and drops her with a Stunner! He looks around quickly and spots the table lamp. He throws it to the floor, smashing it beside the head of the unconscious Val. He scoops the box of chocolate off the table. He pulls BRENT ALBRIGHT into the box and begins lecturing him, pointing his finger and poking Albright in the chest. He hands Albright the box of candy, shakes his hand, then looks around supiciously before leaving the sky box.Courteney: Steve Austin, you are under arrest for the assault on So Cal Val! Take him away! Austin staggers to his feet, making a break for it, but MIKE GOLIC grabs him in a bearhug. An armored van pulls up to ringside. RANGER JIMMY TRIVETTE hops out of the van and opens the back door. As Golic moves to escort Austin to the van, Trivette reaches into the back of the van. CHRISTY HEMME emerges from the back of the van, dressed in an orange prison jump suit. Trivette releases her from her handcuffs, then puts the cuffs on Austin and locks him into the back of the van. As the van pulls away, Christy climbs into the ring, pouting and looking into the face of Daytondave as the scene fades to black...

NWA Heartland Card #126 Convocation Center, DeKalb, Illinois April 4, 2008 The show opens with COMMISSIONER DAYTONDAVE at the top of the platform, stylishly dressed in Palos jeans and a turquoise Verona shirt. The music, "Paradise City" plays overhead, and CHRISTY HEMME bursts through the curtain, shimmying and dancing to the music!Daytondave: Fans, it is good to be back! Put your hands together for the hottest hostess in the NWA! Welcome to tonight's edition of Friday Night Fury! What a long, strange trip it has been... but Heartland Havoc XVI is in the books, and hopefully this issue with Tradition is over and done. We need to get back to business! First of all, congratulations to the NEW AGE OUTLAWS for a successful title defense at Havoc XVI. These guys got off to a slow start in the Heartland, but they have come on strong and now have a stranglehold on the titles! And now, the Heartland is preparing for the return of THE ROAD WARRIORS! The Roadies are now the reigning NWA World Tag Team Champions, and they will be on hand one week from tonight to defend their titles. Our main event tonight will determine which team will challenge the Warriors for the belts, as the top two teams in the Heartland will vie for that opportunity. Christy: That's right, Boss! Tonight it will be The Outlaws against their longtime rivals, TEAM TSUNAMI, for the title shot on next week's Fury! Daytondave: That should be an outstanding match! Now let's get started with tonight's card. (Tonight's referee: Heather Owens)ARN ANDERSON (w/ TRACI BROOKS) pinned AUSTIN ARIESIn the battle of "Double A's", it was Traci Brooks who ultimately made the difference! Aries took control of the early segments of the contest, and delivered a sensational Slingshot Plancha to Anderson on the ring floor! But before Aries could capitalize, Traci climbed to the ring apron and confronted Heather Owens. An argument followed, and Anderson took advantage by nailing Aries with a blind clothesline to the back of the head. Anderson took the opportunity to slow the pace of the match, methodically dissecting Aries and working on the left shoulder. Once Aries was neutralized, the Enforcer slammed him down hard with a brutal hammerlock slam and covered him for the win. Daytondave: The Enforcer is back in his usual style! The bad news for the Horsemen was the severe injury suffered by TULLY BLANCHARD at Havoc when he was hit by a fireball from SABU. The extent of his injury is not clear, but it is obvious that he will out of action for some time. The war with Tradition took its toll on both territories, and I for one am glad that it is over! The confrontation between RIC FLAIR and STEVE AUSTIN was intense, but in the end I think it brought our guys together. It was my privilege to provide commentary with DUSTY RHODES for that match! Dusty has asked for some interview time this evening to discuss that situation. The camera shifts backstage, where Rhodes is holding a microphone.Dusty: Fans, for many months, me and my TEXAS MAVERICKS have been gone to war against RIC FLAIR and THE HORSEMEN. But after Heartland Havoc and the way that Ric defended the honor of this company, I believe it is time for the Dream and the Nature Boy to bury the hatchet! As Dusty talks, ARN ANDERSON walks past, returning from his match. Anderson stops, and glares at Rhodes.Anderson: Listen, Rhodes, I don't know what you think you're doing back here flapping your gums. If the Mavericks want some sort of a peace treaty, so be it. But before this thing is over, there is one man who needs to be brought to task for his actions. I'm talking about RODERICK STRONG! That young man turned his back on his territory and sided with the enemy. Tully may be on the shelf, but I will not rest until that punk Strong pays the price! RODERICK STRONG arrives on the scene, and stands face to face with Anderson. Strong: You want a piece of me? Listen here, old-timer, you and your Horsemen are not the rulers of this territory. You act like you created wrestling, and it's damn time that somebody knocked you down a peg! Strong takes a poke at Anderson, when TERRY GORDY rushes the scene. Gordy shoves Strong away from Anderson. Out of nowhere, THE BLACKJACKS storm onto the scene and jump Gordy! A brawl breaks out as Anderson and Gordy battle against Strong and the Blackjacks, until RANDY ORTON dashes into the scene and blindsides BLACKJACK LANZA. RENE GOULET and his Elite Security Forces storm the scene and struggle to pull apart the brawlers. As the brawl is being pulled apart, Orton goes into his tights and slips on a set of brass knuckles. Seeing an opening, he steps in and cold-cocks Lanza on the side of the head. Lanza slumps to the floor in a pool of blood as Orton is pulled away and shoved out to the ring.RANDY ORTON pinned RODERICK STRONGThe regularly scheduled bout between Orton and Strong began with a fracas which spilled into the ring. Both men launched into each other with adrenaline surging, until Strong wowwed the crowd with a crisply executed tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Orton was reeling, but alertly managed to sidestep Strong at the turnbuckle, sending Roderick crashing shoulder first to the ringpost. With cat-like quickness, Orton immediately caught Strong with an RKO and put him down for the three-count! Daytondave: What a dangerous man! He PLANTED Roderick with that DDT out of nowhere! That was a very impressive move to earn that victory. STRIKE FORCE defeated THE BLACKJACKSWith Lanza bandaged heavily, Mulligan was forced to carry the load for his squad against the newcomers Martel and Santana. Strike Force controlled the action and Tito forced Mulligan to tap out to the Figure-4. Daytondave: A crisp debut for the newest tag team in the Heartland! Lanza looks pretty banged up- he probably should have gotten more medical attention before this match, but that is one tough Texan that isn't gonna take a back step for anyone. The Blackjacks storm to the annoucers' table, and Lanza grabs the microphone.Lanza: Daytondave! You're damn right I ain't gonna take a back step for no one. Especially not some fresh-faced punk like Randy Orton! You think a little scratch is gonna stop a Blackjack? HELL NO! Orton, I want you in the ring- man against man- LOSER LEAVES TOWN! Daytondave- BOOK IT! Daytondave: Wow! Lanza against Orton in a loser leaves town match! We will book that- next Friday night on Fury! Christy: Good call, Boss! NWA HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: QUALIFYING MATCH
THE ROCK pinned DICK MURDOCHSeeking to position himself for another title shot at Ric Flair, The Rock took the fight to Murdoch from the opening bell. After dominating the action, Rock caught Murdoch coming off the ropes with a thunderous Rock Bottom and picked up the victory. Daytondave: All business for The Rock tonight! No show-boating, no People's Elbow, no trash talking. Rock looks focused and ready as he moves ahead to a #1 contenders' match! Christy: That's right, Daytondave. He wants another crack at Flair in the worst way! MAIN EVENT: NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH
THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS defeated TEAM TSUNAMI (TAKESHI MORISHIMA & DELIRIOUS)An outstanding match saw the Outlaws slip past Team Tsunami with superior teamwork. The Outlaws wore down Morishima, as BG worked him over with the sleeper hold and forced him to tag in Delirious. After a few crisp tags from the Outlaws, BG was able to catch Delirious with two pump handle slams and cover him before Morishima could come to the rescue. Daytondave: Congratulations again to the New Age Outlaws! They are on a serious roll after beating THE FANTASTICS and TEAM TSUNAMI. But how will they fare against THE ROAD WARRIORS? We'll find out next week on Fury! But let's not get ahead of ourselves- we have an exciting episode of Adrenaline in store for you this Monday night! We'll see a title match for the Midwest Heavyweight Championship as BATISTA will defend his title against TONY ATLAS! We'll be in Normal, Illinois on Monday for the broadcast. Until then, fans, that's our show and I AM OUTTA HERE!

NWA Heartland Card #127 Redbird Arena, Normal, Illinois April 7, 2008 The show opens with COMMISSIONER DAYTONDAVE in the ring. He is nattily attired in an Alexander McQueen Moleskin Blazer as he greets the audience. He unbuttons his blazer to reveal a T-shirt bearing the insignia, "I KILLED TRADITION". From the top of the ramp, CHRISTY HEMME appears, dressed in a blue Kansas Jayhawks cheerleader outfit. Christy does a series of cartwheels and handstands on her way to the ring, then picks up a set of pom-poms as she slips between the ropes and waves to the crowd.Daytondave: That's right, fans, welcome back to NWA Heartland Wrestling! Daytondave is coming back at ya from the great state of Illinois, alongside the hottest hostess in the Alliance, put your hands together for CHRISTY HEMME! My dear, that Jayhawks Cheerleader outfit looks terrific on you! Christy: Why thanks, boss! I wore this for you. I heard you had Kansas in your NCAA Pool! Daytondave: BOTH of my pools, sweetheart. And I won them both! I kicked butt on Kanter and Johnson like you wouldn't believe. Christy: You've had quite a week, Boss! You won two pools and you ran ROB BENNETT out of the NWA! Daytondave: It's MY world sweetie. The rest of these schleps are just livin' in it. Now let's get to business! We have an exciting double main event tonight. BATISTA will be defending his Midwest Heavyweight Championship against TONY ATLAS. And, we'll see a qualifying match for the Heartland Heavyweight Championship as NIGEL McGUINESS takes on TOMMY ROGERS. The winner of that match will square off against THE ROCK for a shot at the title! The tune, "Fire It Up" by Black Label Society plays overhead. AUSTIN ARIES storms to ringside and grabs a microphone.Aries: Now wait just one minute, Mr. Commissioner. Austin Aries is tired of the way that the Championship Committee kisses up to THE ROCK. The Rock is overrated! The Rock already had his shot at RIC FLAIR and he couldn't get the job done. The Rock very nearly got his candy ass pinned by Austin Aries last month in Tennessee in the triple threat match. It's time for the Rock to- THE ROCK appears at the top of the ramp with a microphone.Rock: It's time for the Rock to do WHAT? You listen to me, you hairy-looking punk! You wanna come out here and talk smack about The Rock? The Rock says, you ain't worth a plug nickel around here. The Rock says you ain't nothing but a skirt-chasing wannabe! You better take your ugly mug out of The Rock's business before The Rock comes down to that ring and slaps the taste out of your mouth! Aries: Bring it on! You haven't proved anything to me. You're all talk! Rock: All talk? You just wait until I get you in that ring, pretty boy. Aries: You want a piece of me? I say, we do it tonight! I am gonna kick your tail right back to Hollywood. And after I beat you tonight, I am going to take your spot in the number one contenders' match! Rock: You're on, fancy boy. Tonight you get the beating of a lifetime, brought to you by the most electrifying man in sports entertainment! If you SMELLLLLLLL-EL-EL-EL-EL-EL...... what The Rock..... is cookin! (Tonight's Referee: Brady Boone)TERRY GORDY (w/ TRACI BROOKS) pinned "MR. WONDERFUL" PAUL ORNDORFFGordy went power for power against Orndorff and beat him decisively after a pair of Powerbombs. Daytondave: Wow! Gordy just put a serious whoopin' on Orndorff and sent him away in shame. Christy: Kinda reminds me of what happened to Rob Bennett... CHRIS HERO pinned TITO SANTANAThe fiery Santana took on the determined Chris Hero, who refused to back down. It was all that Brady Boone could do to keep this match on track. Boone was forced to intervene several times to keep the match in the ring, drawing the ire of both competitors. Finally, Hero pulled Boone into the path of the charging Tito at the turnbuckle, and the referee tumbled to the floor. Finally able to brawl, Tito and Hero tore each other up! Hero got the best of the brawl after stunning Santana with a stiff right hand, then began to beat down the Latin Sensation. Backup referee Danny Davis sprinted to ringside as Hero executed the Hangman's Clutch III on the beaten Santana, and Davis counted the pinfall. Daytondave: An unfortunate loss to start the Heartland career of Tito Santana. But Chris Hero is one of the best mat technicians in the modern independent scene and he is not a man to be taken lightly. TEAM CANADA (THE MOUNTIE & KILLER KOWALSKI) defeated TEAM TSUNAMI (TAKESHI MORISHIMA & DELIRIOUS) by disqualificationBrady Boone recovered from his spill and returned to action, but he was in no mood for shenanigans! The match was barely underway when the two behemoths, Morishima and Kowalski, spilled out of the ring and took up a brawl. Kowalski gained the advantage until Morishima reversed an Irish whip and sent the Killer slamming into the steel steps. Frustrated about the loss of control of the action, Boone called for the bell and disqualified Morishima. After the decision, the brawl continued! Morishima went after the downed Kowalski, but Mountie handed Killer the shock stick. Killer smacked Morishima across the side of the head, opening up a nasty gash on his forehead before Brady Boone and Danny Davis were able to settle the angry brawlers.Daytondave: Kowalski continues on a rampage through the Heartland! He has taken down some of the biggest men in this territory. He is a huge man with a bad attitude and a chip on his shoulder. And The Mountie provides him with a dangerous ally. Can anyone put a stop to this dastardly duo? Christy: What Kowalski did to Orndorff at Heartland Havoc XVI was just brutal! Daytondave: Now we have a very important match in the singles division. TOMMY ROGERS is facing NIGEL McGUINESS for a shot at the #1 contenders' match! NWA HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: QUALIFYING MATCH
NIGEL McGUINESS pinned TOMMY ROGERS (w/ DAFFNEY)McGuiness brought his "A" game tonight, and Rogers did his best to keep up. Tommy deftly avoided a deathjump, and slammed Nigel with the Tomakaze, but Nigel kicked out. As Nigel countered and went on the offensive, Daffney pulled down the top rope, but it was Tommy who accidentally flipped over and crashed to the floor. Nigel chased Daffney away from ringside, then returned to the ring and planted Tommy with the Guvnor's Crumpet to earn the victory. Daytondave: Nigel McGuiness moves on after a terrific match! He would be one of the few men who could possibly go hold-for-hold with RIC FLAIR, if he can win the #1 Contenders' match. But who will he face? THE ROCK has already earned his spot in that match, but earlier tonight we saw him lose his cool and accept a challenge from AUSTIN ARIES! Now, the spot in the contenders' match is up for grabs! SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION
AUSTIN ARIES defeated THE ROCK by submissionIn a fast-paced and furious match, Aries came out of nowhere with a corkscrew plancha to stun The Rock! Austin applied the Rings of Saturn in the center of the ring, and Rock fought gamely to endure the pain before being forced to tap out! Daytondave: Unbelievable! The Rock just squandered his opportunity for another shot at the title- over a meaningless insult! It will be Aries versus McGuiness for the title shot! MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND MIDWEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
BATISTA (w/ MELINA) pinned TONY ATLAS (w/ SLICK)Atlas figured to be one of the few men in the Heartland who could stand in against the power of Batista. But the big Animal quickly proved his challenger wrong, levelling Atlas with two consecutive spears before executing a crushing Batista Bomb to secure the victory and retain his title. Daytondave: Batista is DOMINANT! He is now the longest-running champion in Heartland history! He has a stranglehold on the Midwest title- and he still has his eye on the bigger prize! We'll see the big Animal in action again on Friday night in a non-title match. But that's not all- the World Tag Team Champions will be here as THE ROAD WARRIORS defend the titles against THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS. And if that's not enough, we'll see the big grudge match- Loser Leaves Town- RANDY ORTON against BLACKJACK LANZA! So, be sure and tune in from Chicago as Fury will be HOT! Until then, fans, that's our show and I AM OUTTA HERE!

NWA Heartland Card #128 Sears Center, Chicago, Illinois April 11, 2008 The show opens with COMMISSIONER DAYTONDAVE in the ring in a BOSS black Passolini suit. CHRISTY HEMME shimmies into the ring as the tune, "Paradise City" by Guns 'N Roses plays. Daytondave: Hey, fans, NWA Heartland Wrestling comin' back at ya with another episode of Friday Night Fury! We are here at the Sears Center in Chicago, Illinois, with an exciting evening planned. Our Main Event tonight will be for the NWA World Tag Team Championship! THE ROAD WARRIORS continue to hold those titles, but they will have a stiff test tonight as they are challenged by THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS! Now, let's head to the ring to get the action started. (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)CHRISTOPHER DANIELS pinned WAHOO McDANIELDaniels was crisp and efficient against the Chief, holding his own in a brawl outside the ring. After Wahoo kicked out of the Angel's Wings, Daniels dropped him with the Fall From Grace and finished him for the victory. Daytondave: A nice tune-up for Daniels in preparation for Monday night's title match against RIC FLAIR. But can he take down the Nature Boy? That remains to be seen. TONY ATLAS & ROCKY JOHNSON (w/ SLICK) defeated THE FANTASTICS (w/ DAFFNEY)In a highly competitive and entertaining match, both teams tagged frequently and traded the advantage. The Fantastics had Atlas in trouble after a series of double-team moves, but Slick turned the tables by grabbing Rogers' Ankle coming off the ropes. Atlas tagged in Rocky, while Daffney climbed to the apron and shrieked at Joe Kopasz. Kopasz turned to confront her, and she grabbed him by the striped shirt and attempted to slap him! Kopasz ducked the wild swing from Daffney, then EJECTED her from ringside! While Kopasz and Daffney were arguing, Johnson pitched Rogers out of the ring and Atlas planted him on the concrete floor with a gorilla press slam. Atlas rolled Rogers back into the ring, where Johnson rolled him up in a sunset flip and Kopasz turned and counted the pin. Daytondave: Daffney's presence at ringside didn't work as well as they might have planned it that time. Score one for the Reverend Slick! NON-TITLE MATCH: BATISTA (w/ MELINA) pinned THE MOUNTIENot even close! Batista bowled over The Mountie with little resistance and pinned him after a thunderous Power Bomb. Daytondave: The big animal moves another step closer to a shot at the Heartland's ultimate prize! KILLER KOWALSKI defeated KEN PATERA by submissionPatera fought gamely against the huge Canadian. He tried the clothesline, he tried the bearhug, he tried brawling on the arena floor, but Kowalski was impenetrable! The Killer took Patera's best shots before firing back, overwhelming the Olympic Strongman and forcing him to submit to the Claw Hold. LOSER LEAVES TOWN GRUDGE MATCH
RANDY ORTON pinned BLACKJACK LANZADespite wrestling hurt, Lanza took the fight to Orton both inside the ring and out. Orton spent much of the match on the defensive before exploding off the turnbuckle with a reverse elbow smash! Taking control, Orton delivered everything in his arsenal, from the elevated neckbreaker to the over-the-knee backbreaker. After surviving several near-falls, Lanza was unable to escape the powerful RKO and Orton scored the pinfall. Daytondave: I guess this means farewell to Blackjack Lanza. Is the war between the Horsemen and the Mavericks finally over? Or will there be more casualties ahead? Around this territory, you never know! And now, folks, it's time for our Main Event- the NWA World Tag Team Championship! MAIN EVENT: NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
THE ROAD WARRIORS defeated THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS to retain the titles!Awesome destruction! The Warriors engaged in an intense battle with the Outlaws before emerging victorious. The Outlaws got the best of Hawk in the early going, planting him hard with a spike piledriver and nearly capturing the victory. But Hawk kicked out, and tagged in Animal, then the Roadies repeated the same move, planting Kip on the canvas. The Warriors dominated from that point forward, finally pinning the stunned Kip after the Doomsday Device. Daytondave: Incredible! The Road Warriors just decimated the hottest tag team in the Heartland! They remain head and shoulders above every other team in the NWA, and I expect them to hold onto those belts for a very long time. Fans, we thank you for joining us tonight. Please be sure to tune in again on Monday for the next episode of Adrenaline! We'll have another exciting title match as RIC FLAIR puts the Heartland Heavyweight Championship on the line against CHRISTOPHER DANIELS. Until then, fans, that's our show and I AM OUTTA HERE!

NWA Heartland Card #129 i Wireless Center, Moline, Illinois April 14, 2008 The show opens with COMMISSIONER DAYTONDAVE in the ring, decked out in a white-on-white Pringle of Scotland cotton twill jacket over a navy cotton shirt. CHRISTY HEMME prances to the ring in a low-cut dress and stands at his side as he addresses the audience.Daytondave: Hey, fans, welcome to the i Wireless center for tonight's edition of Monday Night Adrenaline! NWA Heartland wrestling is coming back at ya with a great card tonight, including a double main event! Christy, tell us about the big match tonight! Christy: Sure thing, Boss! Tonight we will see the Heartland Heavyweight Title up for grabs as RIC FLAIR defends the title against CHRISTOPHER DANIELS! Can the Fallen Angel be the one to dethrone the Nature Boy? Daytondave: That should be a dynamite match! We'll also see a grudge match which has been a long time in the making, as TEAM CANADA finally gets their hands on the NEW AGE OUTLAWS in a non-title match. This all started when the Outlaws made fun of the Canadian heritage of the Great White North promotion. Well, the Great White North is dead and gone, but the pride of the Canadian team runs deep and tonight they will finally get their hands on their hated rivals! Let's head to the ring to get the action started. (Tonight's Referee: Danny Davis)THE BRISCOE BROTHERS (w/ SARA DEL REY) defeated THE RUNNIN' BUDDIES (BOBO BRAZIL & THE ROCK)The return of the Briscoes was triumphant! After a brief hiatus, Mark and Jay looked sharp. They began the match by isolating Brazil, controlling most of the action until The Rock tagged in. The Brothers kept up the attack, teaming up on Rock for a guillotine knee drop. Brazil broke up the pin attempt, but the Briscoes immediately followed up with the Spike J-Driller and captured the victory! Daytondave: The Briscoes are back! The fans demanded it, and the Heartland delivered. Mark and Jay are looking good- and Sara is along for the ride too! (Christy giggles.)DUSTY RHODES defeated TAKESHI MORISHIMA by disqualificationMorishima came to the ring heavily bandaged after last Monday's confrontation with KILLER KOWALSKI. The giant Japanese came out aggressively, taking the action to Rhodes and flooring him with a running hip attack. Dusty managed to kick out, then rolled to the floor to escape the attack. As he attempted to recover, TERRY GORDY emerged from back stage and went after Rhodes with a cowboy boot! Rhodes took a beating for several moments, until out from the dressing room emerged BARRY WINDHAM to make the save! Windham and Gordy got into a fierce brawl at ringside as Danny Davis tended to Dusty Rhodes. RENE GOULET and his Elite Security Forces were summoned from the locker room, but it took several minutes to pull Windham away from Gordy before cooler heads prevailed.Daytondave: Barry Windham! Barry Windham! He is back! We thought the Horsemen had put him away for good! Fans, the tables have turned on this Texas Mavericks situation. Barry Windham is back and there will be hell to pay! ROCKY JOHNSON (w/ SLICK) pinned SHAWN MICHAELSAfter an exciting, back-and-forth match, Rocky pinned Michaels with a Sunset Flip. Daytondave: Nice move by Rocky Johnson! The presence of the Reverend Slick has really inspired Rocky, while Michaels continues to struggle. Where will HBK find his inspiration? BOBO BRAZIL pinned LEX LUGERIn his Heartland debut, Luger was something of a disappointment. Brazil took charge early in the contest and wore Luger down with a series of Coco Butts. As Luger staggered around the ring, dazed, Bobo blasted him with a Big Hammer Punch and put him down for the three-count. Daytondave: The much-ballyhooed debut of the Total Package ends with a wimper! But you can bet this next match will be downright explosive! TEAM CANADA has been waiting for their opportunity to get into the ring with the NEW AGE OUTLAWS, and tonight they have their opportunity. Before we go to that match, we have a special video montage of the exploits of one KILLER KOWALSKI since his arrival in the Heartland. Christy, let's check out the video! A video package is displayed, showing Kowalski beating down and bloodying a series of opponents, including PAUL ORNDORFF, TAKESHI MORISHIMA, KEN PATERA, and JESSE VENTURA. Daytondave: Wow... you talk about a reign of terror! Christy: I think I just threw up a little in the back of my mouth. NON-TITLE GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION
THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS defeated TEAM CANADA (THE MOUNTIE & KILLER KOWALSKI)In a brutal culmination to a violent feud, the Outlaws managed to get the best of the Canadians. Kowalski dominated much of the match, with BG taking the lion's share of the punishment. But the Outlaws tagged frequently, teaming up on Kowalski and wearing him down. Mountie was tagged in, and became the object of a beatdown by the James Gang. After Kowalski saved Mountie from a couple of near falls, Danny Davis put him out of the ring. The James Boys took advantage, lining up Mountie for a double-team face-first suplex and a pinfall victory! As Davis counted the pinfall on Mountie, TAKESHI MORISHIMA stormed to the ringside to confront Kowalski! Morishima came out heavily taped, but ripped away the bandages and wrapped a length of tape around the throat of Kowalski! Mountie despearately tried to come to the aid of his partner, but the Outlaws trapped him in the ring as Morishima choked Kowalski down. As the Killer collapsed on the arena floor, Morishima grabbed the steel ring steps, lifted them high over his head, and slammed them down hard onto the fallen Canadian Giant. Kowalski lay motionless as Morishima stormed away from ringside. Paramedics were summoned, and Kowalski was taken away from the arena in an ambulance.Daytondave: I don't believe what I just saw! Kowalski just got manhandled by Morishima! We haven't seen anybody stand up to the Canadian Bully quite like that. He has been pushing people around ever since his arrival in the Heartland. I, for one, am not the least bit upset to see Kowalski get a dose of his own medicine. As soon as the paramedics are finished, let's clear the ring and get started with the main event! MAIN EVENT: NWA HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
RIC FLAIR (w/ TRACI BROOKS) defeated CHISTOPHER DANIELS by submissionThe Fallen Angel came strong, taking the match to Flair from the opening bell. But the Nature Boy took Daniels' best shots and fired back with the help of Traci on the outside. Flair finally used Daniels' aggression against him, dodging a charge to the turnbuckle to send him shoulder-first to the ring post. Flair smelled blood, and went to work on the knee of Daniels. After a knee drop and a shin breaker, Daniels was in deep trouble and unable to survive the Figure-4. Daytondave: A classic performance by the Nature Boy! He just showed why he is the best in the business, bar none. Congratulations to Ric Flair on a successful title defense. Folks, it has been a great night here on Adrenaline and we thank you for joining us! We'll be back on Friday night with another episode of Fury. Who knows what the Heartland will have in store! Until then, fans, that's our show and I AM OUTTA HERE!

NWA Heartland Card #130 Civic Center, Canton, Ohio April 18, 2008 The show opens with COMMISSIONER DAYTONDAVE in the ring, decked out in a Gianmarco Massori black suit over an open-collared white shirt. Streamers fall from the ceiling as the scoreboard flashes "HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAYTONDAVE". CHRISTY HEMME prances into the ring in a short black dress, swiveling her hips as "Paradise City" by Guns 'N Roses plays overhead. Christy wraps her arms around Daytondave's shoulders and greets him with a kiss on the cheek as Daytondave takes the microphone. Before Daytondave can speak, the music "Oh Canada" interrupts the scene as THE MOUNTIE appears at the top of the ramp. The Mountie strides to the ring. Christy scowls as Mountie takes the microphone from Daytondave and begins to speak.Mountie: Forgive me, Mr. Commissioner, for interrupting this little party. But a grave injustice has been done in the Heartland. As Commissioner, you must not celebrate until restitution is made. My good friend and partner KILLER KOWALSKI was the victim of an unprovoked attack by one TAKESHI MORISHIMA last Monday night on Adrenaline. I, the Mountie, shall not rest until this scoundrel is brought to justice! Daytondave takes a long drink of champagne from a tall glass and takes the microphone.Daytondave: Yeah, yeah, Mountie. Whatever. Kowalski had it coming. You want a match tonight with Morishima? Consider it done. Now, if you're not here to join the celebration, why don't you go get ready for your beating tonight. Fans, welcome back to the Buckeye State of Ohio! The Heartland tour has returned to the state where it all started, and tonight we are in Canton with a great card of action! I guess our Main Event has just been signed- MOUNTIE versus MORISHIMA! Now, let's get the action started! (Tonight's referee: Brady Boone)As Brady Boone prepares the contestants for the opening contest, Christy Hemme leaves the announce table and quietly slips backstage.SHAWN MICHAELS pinned BARRY WINDHAMThe fans were happy to welcome Barry Windham back to action, but the big Texan was a step slow. Windham walked into the Sweet Chin Music from Michaels and quickly went down for the count. Daytondave: Barry Windham is back in action- and already he has learned his first lesson. You can't show up to ANY match in the Heartland unprepared! The Hoovertron lights up and Christy Hemme appears backstage. She is rolling a table with a giant-sized birthday cake toward the ring entrance. Suddenly, a brawl breaks out as RANDY ORTON is being pummelled by BOBO BRAZIL! Christy shrieks, and tries quickly to wheel the cake to safety. Orton and Brazil careen around the entryway. In her haste to protect the cake, Christy dashes between the brawlers. Bobo attempts to shield her, but Orton takes the opportunity to lunge at him with an attempted cheap shot. Orton collides with Christy, sending her sprawling face first onto the cake!Bobo gently helps Christy to her feet. As the camera pans over her, she is covered in cake and icing from head to toe! Orton and Brazil survey the scene with a smirk. Bobo picks up a microphone, grins, and puts his arm around Orton.Brazil: Happy birthday, Daytondave! RANDY ORTON pinned BOBO BRAZILAfter the wild backstage brawl, Brazil and Orton came to the ring together to square off in their scheduled contest. In a marathon match, Orton outlasted Bobo and finally pinned him after an Elevated Neckbreaker. Daytondave: What a match for both competitors! Not many men can survive a backstage brawl with Bobo, but Orton came out unharmed and catches the duke after a very competitive match. Christy Hemme returns from backstage, still covered with cake and icing. She appears disappointed as she wipes the icing from her face.Daytondave: Aw, don't worry Christy. It's the thought that counts. TONY ATLAS & ROCKY JOHNSON (w/ SLICK) defeated THE BRISCOE BROTHERS (w/ SARA DEL REY)In a spirited rematch from last month's countout win, the Men of Slick bested the Briscoes again. Sharp teamwork by both units made this a classic encounter, which finally ended when Atlas levelled a weary Mark Briscoe and pinned him after a massive skullcrusher. Daytondave: The Briscoes still cannot solve the team of Johnson and Atlas. But I am sure, with their determination, their focus, and the power of Sara Del Rey at their side, you better believe the Briscoes will not quit until they have beaten Slick and his duo. As the Briscoes depart from the ring in defeat, SARA DEL REY stops at the announcer's table and locks her eyes on Christy. Christy looks up at her towering figure and seems to shrink under Sara's piercing gaze. Her eyes widen as she hands Sara the microphone.Sara: Is that cake? Christy: Ummm... yeah... there's some left over in the back. Sara: Cool! Sara hands Christy the microphone and high-tails it backstage, with the Briscoes limping along behind.Christy: Daytondave? Were you just saying something about focus and determination? Daytondave: I think so. Have you ever seen Sara Del Rey so focused and determined? TERRY GORDY (w/ TRACI BROOKS) pinned CHRIS HEROHero gave a great performance against the bigger Gordy, and nearly caught the pin after the Hero's Welcome. But Traci climbed to the ring apron, distracting Brady Boone and allowing Gordy to regain the momentum. Boone sent Traci back to the dressing room, but the opportunity was there for Gordy to catch Hero in a Powerbomb and score the victory. Daytondave: Terry Gordy is a man's man, no two ways about it! Chris Hero has size, he is athletic, and he is an outstanding technician, but Gordy is a BEAST. Now, it's time for the main event! The Mountie has challenged Takeshi Morishima to a grudge match after the confrontation with KILLER KOWALSKI last week. Before we go back to the ring, let's look at the footage from that situation. As Danny Davis counted the pinfall on Mountie, TAKESHI MORISHIMA stormed to the ringside to confront Kowalski! Paramedics were summoned, and Kowalski was taken away from the arena in an ambulance.MAIN EVENT GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATIONTAKESHI MORISHIMA pinned THE MOUNTIEThe Mountie came after Morishima with all his aggression, but the giant Japanese kept his cool and held Mountie at bay. Morishima seized an opening when Mountie fled the ring, grabbing the Canadian and whipping him hard to the steel railing. Mountie was stunned, and Takeshi slid him back into the ring and nailed not one... not two... but three powerful Saito suplexes before putting Mountie down for the count. After the decision, an angry Morishima came to ringside. He removed the belt from Mountie's uniform and wrapped it around his neck. He then hurled Mountie over the top rope, holding the belt to cause Mountie to hang from the top rope! Mountie kicked wildly until DELIRIOUS emerged from the dressing room. Delirious grabbed Mountie by the hair and savagely BIT his right ear! Mountie screamed until Delirious let go. Morishima then let go of the belt, letting Mountie fall to the ring floor in a daze, gasping and bleeding from his ear.Daytondave: Wow! I hope Mountie learned his lesson about messing with Morishima. I've never seen such a brutal beatdown. What an ugly site! I think the fans here in Canton have seen enough, too. Fans, thank you for joining us for tonight's episode of Fury. We'll be heading down the road to Cincinnati, Ohio, for Monday night's episode of Adrenaline. Now, Christy, let's see about getting you cleaned up! Fans, that's our show and I AM OUTTA HERE!

NWA Heartland Card #131 Fifth-Third Center, Cincinnati, Ohio April 21, 2008 The show opens with COMMISSIONER DAYTONDAVE in the ring with CHRISTY HEMME. He is immaculately dressed in an Espresso Cross Wale Corduroy blazer. Christy prances and shimmies around the ring as the music plays. Daytondave takes the microphone to address the audience.Daytondave: Hey, fans, welcome to Monday Night Adrenaline! NWA Heartland is coming back at ya with another hot night of wrestling action! We're proud to be here in the Queen City of Cincinnati, Ohio, with a great card in store for you. The long-awaited match is in store for your Main Event tonight! The challenge has been made- the challenge has been accepted- and tonight the showdown between BARRY WINDHAM and TERRY GORDY will take place in this very ring! Now, let's take a look at our opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)RODERICK STRONG defeated PAUL ORNDORFF by submissionRoderick was fiercely competitive coming out against Mr. Wonderful. Orndorff held the advantage in the early going, but Strong took control with his technical expertise. After weakening Orndorff with a Blue Thunder Backbreaker, Roderick caught him in the Stronghold and forced him to submit. Daytondave: A new level of intensity from Roderick Strong! After the debacle with STEVE AUSTIN, Roderick is still not the most popular guy in the Heartland locker room, but tonight he put in an outstanding performance! After the victory, Roderick strode to the announcer's table and took the microphone.Strong: Not the most popular guy in the locker room?!? Since when is that important? I'm not here to win any popularity contests, Mr. Big Shot Commissioner. You strut around here in your fancy suits with your floozy girlfriend like you're some kind of hot stuff, but you have NO IDEA what it takes to be successful in that ring! Daytondave: Oh, give it a rest, Roderick. I built this territory out of nothing. You should just be happy to be drawing a paycheck. There are dozens of guys just like you who would gladly step in and take your spot. So get your butt back to the locker room before I fire you on the spot! Strong reaches over the announcer's table and grabs Daytondave by the lapels. He hauls the Commissioner out of his chair and slams Daytondave's head onto the table! Christy shrieks as Roderick hurls Daytondave to the floor. Strong rips the blazer off Daytondave's back and tears away his shirt. Then, he reaches under the ring and pulls out a T-shirt, which he pulls over the head of the fallen Commissioner. Laughing, Strong kicks Daytondave in the ribs, rolling him over to his back, where the camera gets a shot of the T-shirt:IN HONOR OF TRADITION Daytondave lies on the floor, bleeding from a gash on his head and barely conscious. Paramedics are summoned, and the Commissioner is placed on a cart and wheeled away from ringside. Christy remains at the announcer's table alone, clearly shocked at the turn of events. Christy: Oh my gosh! TOMMY ROGERS (w/ DAFFNEY) pinned THE MOUNTIEAfter enduring a serious amount of punishment from the Mountie, Rogers managed to turn the tables with a little help from Daffney. Rogers unleashed an aerial flurry, culminating with a soaring Tomakaze and a pinfall victory! Christy: Good job, Daffney! It's pretty awesome how well she has managed Tommy Rogers. TEAM TSUNAMI (DELIRIOUS & TAKESHI MORISHIMA) defeated STRIKE FORCE (RICK MARTEL & TITO SANTANA)In an exciting, back-and-forth match, Santana nearly forced Delirious to tap out to the Figure-4. But Delirious reached the bottom rope and Tito was forced to break the hold. Delirious slipped out of the ring, and pulled Santana with him. In desperation, Delirious caught Santana with a drop-toe hold, sending him face first to the ring steps. Moving quickly, Delirious nailed Santana with the Shadows Over Hell, then tagged in Morishima, who finished the match with a Saito Suplex. Christy: That Japanese guy is HUGE! DUSTY RHODES defeated ROCKY JOHNSON by submissionTwo of the most dynamic performers in the Heartland hooked up in an exciting battle! The two competitors battled inside the ring and out. Rocky electrified the crowd with the shuffle, and nailed Rhodes with repeated dropkicks. As the crowd roared, THE ROCK came down to ringside and began cheering on Johnson! But the Dream battled back gamely, stunning Rocky with the Bionic Elbow! Rocky went down hard, and Rhodes immediately wrapped him up in the Figure-4. Rocky fought it, but was unable to escape the hold and was forced to tap out. After the match, The Rock entered the ring and began taunting his father after tapping out. Dusty stepped between the men as they argued, but Rock shoved him aside and levelled Rocky with a cheap shot! Rocky went down hard as The Rock stood over him and continued to talk trash. Finally, The Rock's tag partner BOBO BRAZIL came in from the locker room to settle him down and TONY ATLAS followed. Atlas was enraged, and got into a shoving match with Brazil, before Dusty Rhodes and Joe Kopasz were able to calm the situation and convince all four men to return to the locker room.Christy: Wow! What's up with The Rock? For a minute there I thought we were going to have to call RENE GOULET to get that under control. He's my hero! MAIN EVENT: NO DISQUALIFICATION GRUDGE MATCH
BARRY WINDHAM pinned TERRY GORDY (w/ TRACI BROOKS)In a fiercely competitive bout, Windham came loaded for bear and tore into Gordy. Bam Bam refused to back down, seizing an opening and dropping Windham with an Asiatic Spike. Windham escaped the ring, and planted Gordy with a DDT on the floor! Despite the attempts of Traci to interfere, Windham took control of Gordy and planted him with a Sweetwater Superplex. Gordy kicked out and staggered to his feet, but Windham followed with a perfectly timed Flying Lariat and put Gordy down for the three count! After the match, COMMISSIONER DAYTONDAVE returned to ringside with the assistance of Heartland trainers. Daytondave was wearing a neck brace and his forehead was heavily bandaged as he took the microphone.Daytondave: Congratulations to Barry Windham on a great victory. Fans, I am happy to report that the doctors have patched me up and I will be just fine. But Roderick Strong, you better believe there will be hell to pay for your actions here tonight. I will be meeting with the Heartland Championship Committee this week to determine your fate. In the meantime, the show must go on! We'll be headed to Findlay, Ohio, this weekend for a special Saturday edition of Fury. We have just signed a special tag team attraction, where THE ROCK and BOBO BRAZIL will take on ROCKY JOHNSON and TONY ATLAS! We'll also have the Heartland #1 contenders' match between NIGEL McGUINESS and AUSTIN ARIES. Until then, fans, that's our show and I AM OUTTA HERE!
