It's a Saturday night in the great state of Florida, and the boys of the Atlantic Wrestling Federation have come to town to strut their stuff for all the world to see. The Atlantic Heavyweight Championship is on the line in tonight's Main Event as DUSTY RHODES gets his rematch against the former champion, LOU THESZ. And, we have plenty of other action in store for you tonight, and the Epic Sports Broadcasting Network will be here to livestream tonight's feature matches. THE KINGDOM (MICHAEL BENNETT & MATT TAVEN) defeated EDDIE** & CHAVO GUERRERO when Bennett pinned Eddie with a Piledriver


PAUL ORNDORFF* defeated BIG JOHN STUDD*** (w/BOBBY 'THE BRAIN' HEENAN) by countout after Orndorff backdropped Studd onto the Announcer's Table

Not surprisingly, the battle between Orndorff and Studd turned ugly in a hurry. The match became a fight on the arena floor, with both men battering each other all around the ring. Studd came after Orndorff with a massive clothesline, but Orndorff ducked away and flipped Studd onto the announcers' table! Studd was unable to get back to the ring, and took the countout defeat.

After the countout, CURT HENNIG & RIC FLAIR returned to ringside and jumped Orndorff! The Heenan Family members put the boots to Orndorff and left him laying. The Heartland Trainers came to the ring, but Orndorff waved them away and returned to the locker room under his own power.


ATLANTIC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH
TERRY 'BAMM BAMM' GORDY* pinned BLACKJACK MULLIGAN** with a Powerbomb

EpicDave: That was an old-fashioned slobberknocker. Congratulations to Terry Gordy- he has earned himself a title shot! And that brings us to tonight's Main Event.


MAIN EVENT: ATLANTIC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
DUSTY RHODES* pinned LOU THESZ**** (c) after an Elbow Drop

After a significant ankle sprain suffered in the Filsinger Cup Tournament, Thesz was clearly not up to par. Rhodes took advantage, taking control of the action and putting Thesz down to the mat. Rhodes pelted Thesz with a series of Elbow Drops and covered him for the decisive win.

DUSTY RHODES REGAINS THE ATLANTIC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: Congratulations to DUSTY RHODES! He is your winner, and the new Atlantic Heavyweight Champion! Dusty is now a three-time AWF Champion- and that's an awesome accomplishment. But I think he will be the first to tell you that the injury to LOU THESZ played a big part in that match- and Dusty will want to have another crack at Thesz when both men are at the top of their game. But injuries are a part of the sport- so take nothing away from Dusty as he goes home from Tampa with the title. All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! EpicDave: Hey, fans! Welcome to Heartland Championship Wrestling! It is a marvelous night here in Jackson, and the superstars of Pro Wrestling Mid-America have come to town for a fantastic show. The PWMA Tag Team Championship is on the line tonight! THE VACHON BROTHERS are the reigning champions, but their predecessors, MAGNUM TA & BRAD ARMSTRONG, are here in Mississippi to challenge for the gold in tonight's Main Event. It's a beautiful night in the Magnolia State, fans- and we are gonna light up the night. So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!


RON GARVIN** pinned BOBBY SHANE***** after rolling through a deathjump


EDDIE GRAHAM* defeated ANTONINO ROCCA** by submission with the Figure-4 Leglock


JACK***** & JERRY** BRISCO defeated NICK BOCKWINKEL*** & RAY 'CRIPPLER' STEVENS*** when Jerry forced Stevens to submit to the Figure-4 Leglock

EpicDave: What a match! Four outstanding wrestlers went back and forth and the match could have gone either way. But the former world champions, Jack and Jerry, come away with a hard-fought victory. Next up, fans- the return of KEVIN STEEN!


KEVIN STEEN pinned PAMPERO FIRPO*** after a High-angle senton

Steen looked unstoppable in his return to action, going full throttle against the dangerous Firpo. Steen overpowered Firpo and powerbombed him onto the ring apron, taking the fight out of the big man. After another high-impact move, Steen launched himself onto Firpo with a Senton and covered him for the pin.

After the decision, Steen grabbed a microphone.

Steen: That's right, Heartland! I am BACK! JIMMY HART- you and you weasel friends had better never turn your back. When you least expect it… EXPECT IT!


JACKIE FARGO (with JIMMY HART) pinned TOMMY RICH** with the Atomic Drop

Tommy Rich never had a chance in this match. Fargo attacked Tommy before the opening bell, taking advantage of Jimmy Hart's distraction to clobber Rich with a metal chain, knocking Tommy to the mat. Tommy was out on his feet as Fargo pulled him up and dropped him with the finisher to score the pin.

After the pin, KEVIN STEEN stormed back to ringside. Steen picked up the metal chain from the arena floor, showing it to the referee, but the ref refused to reverse the decision. Steen lunged after Fargo, but Fargo rolled out of the ring and scurried away to safety with Jimmy Hart by his side. Steen returned to the announcer's table and grabbed the microphone.

Steen: I told you- I AM BACK! So EpicDave- I want a match with JACKIE FARGO- and I want it NOW!

EpicDave: Welcome back, my friend. I'm afraid that right now is not an option- but how about next Saturday night? Our next HYPE event is going down in Miami! That's right, fans- November 16- it's going to be Heartland Havoc CXXIV: Rise Up from Miami, Florida. And we are going to book JACKIE FARGO vs. KEVIN STEEN in a No Disqualification Grudge Match!

The fans cheer. Steen smiles, drops the microphone, and returns to the locker room area.

THE VACHON BROTHERS (MAD DOG* & BUTCHER) (c) defeated MAGNUM TA* & BRAD ARMSTRONG****** when Mad Dog pinned Brad with a Piledriver

The former champions, Magnum and Brad, were ready for their rematch, but the Vachons were up to the test. After several minutes of back-and-forth action, the Brothers got hold of Brad and laid a beating. Magnum was unable to tag in, and when Magnum tried to interfere, Butcher smashed Magnum on the head with a vicious elbow that put Magnum down. Mad Dog roughed up Brad on the arena floor, then put Brad away with a Piledriver for a decisive win.

THE VACHON BROTHERS RETAIN THE PWMA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: Congratulations to THE VACHON BROTHERS! They remain Pro Wrestling Mid-America Tag Team Champions after a big win here tonight in Jackson. All right, fans- we're done here!
