The show opens with the tune, "Poison" by Alice Cooper playing overhead. VELVET SKY strides to the ring, waving her arms to pump up the crowd as she enters the ring.


Velvet: Heartland- WHAT IS UP!?!?!? I am JACKED to be here! It's Cleveland- and you know what that means! Amazing baseball, crappy football, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! And tonight, Cleveland will play host to the badass babes of Heartland Ladies' Wrestling! And you won't see a more badass match than tonight's Main Event when JACQUELINE defends the Mistress of Mayhem Championship against JESSICKA HAVOK. Let's take care of business!

THE VACHONS (VIVIAN*** & LUNA) defeated KENZIE PAGE & ELLA ENVY** when Luna pinned Ella after a deathjump


DEBBIE MALENKO** defeated NICOLE MATTHEWS***** by submission with the Crossface Chicken Wing


NICOLE SAVOY** pinned SUMIE SAKAI**** with a Dragon Suplex


THE HEX (ALLYSIN KAY & MARTI BELLE) defeated HYAN & LAYNIE LUCK** by countout

The creepy story of THE HEX continued in Cleveland with the antics of SAGE HALE at ringside. The Hex had Laynie in trouble, and Laynie was tossed out of the ring. On the arena floor, Laynie was confronted by Sage, and Sage threatened to smash Laynie with the Mystic Stone. Laynie was spooked, and ran away from the ring, costing her team the countout loss.

After the decision, Sage was accosted at ringside by her sister, BRIAR HALE. Briar caught Sage off guard, and knocked Sage to the floor. Before Sage could recover, Briar grabbed the Mystic Stone and ran away from ringside!

Velvet: Wait- WHAT?!? Briar Hale just stole the Mystic Stone! What the- does she know what she is getting herself into? I know Briar has been trying to help her sister- but she is playing with fire. I'm afraid this isn't going to end well for Briar.


MAIN EVENT: MISTRESS OF MAYHEM CHAMPIONSHIP
JACQUELINE (c) pinned JESSICKA HAVOC* with a Floatover DDT

Jacqueline took the fight to Jessicka, despite being the smaller competitor. Jessicka had no answers for the champion's unbridled aggression. After being on the defensive throughout the match, Jessicka was unable to prevent Jacqueline from delivering a nasty Floatover DDT for the pin.

JACQUELINE RETAINS THE MISTRESS OF MAYHEM CHAMPIONSHIP

Velvet: That was incredible! Jacqueline is a lot smaller than Jessicka- but she was FEARLESS tonight! Kudos to Jacqueline for holding on to the Mistress of Mayhem Championship! EpicDave: Wow! Valentine made short work of Angle tonight. He's now in line for a title shot at the Patriot Heavyweight Championship. Of course, that title is still up for grabs- one week from tonight, it will be RICK RUDE vs. SUPERSTAR GRAHAM in a Best Two Out Of Three Falls showdown at Heartland Havoc CXXIII: Nowhere Fast to settle their rivalry once and for all!


THE ROCK 'N ROLL EXPRESS (RICKY MORTON* & ROBERT GIBSON*) defeated ARN ANDERSON**** & TULLY BLANCHARD* when Morton pinned Anderson with the Double Dropkick


NORTH AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
ED 'STRANGLER' LEWIS** defeated 'ROWDY' RODDY PIPER**** with the Strangler's Headlock

Lewis vs. Piper was an all out war! The two veterans went at it for over twenty minutes of back and forth action. Lewis controlled much of the action, but Piper had everything up his sleeve, biting the forehead of Lewis and gouging his eyes. Lewis caught the Strangler's Headlock on Piper, but PERCY PRINGLE III grabbed the hammer and rang the bell, prompting Lewis to release the hold before Piper actually submitted.

EpicDave: Wait- what? Piper didn't submit!

Piper went into his tights and produced a steel chain, but Lewis alertly grabbed the chain and clocked Piper, busting him open. With Piper disoriented, Lewis clamped on the Strangler's Headlock a second time, and kept the hold in place until the referee called for the finish.

ED 'STRANGLER' LEWIS RETAINS THE NORTH AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: How about that? Lewis definitely EARNED that victory, despite the unbridled mayhem unleashed by Piper and Pringle tonight. Now, fans- it's time for your Main Event!


MAIN EVENT: NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP- #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH
JAY & MARK BRISCOE defeated TONY GAREA* & LARRY ZBYSZKO****** when Jay pinned Zbyszko after a Yakuza Kick

Two fine tag teams locked horns in the Main Event with a world title shot on the line! The opening segments were evenly matched, with both teams executing frequent tags and crisp double-team moves. The Briscoes were able to take control against Zbyszko by taking Larry out of the ring for repeated brawls. Zbyszko took plenty of damage, prompting Garea to come to the rescue. But Mark Briscoe alertly grabbed Garea, and slammed his head into Zbyszko with a vicious Double Noggin' Knocker! Garea tumbled out of the ring, opening the door for Jay to blast Zbyszko with a Yakuza Kick for the pin.


EpicDave: Congratulations to JAY & MARK BRISCOE- now the Number One Contenders to the NWA World Tag Team Championship! The will move on next week to face THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS for the titles at the HYPE Event, Heartland Havoc CXXIII: Nowhere Fast. What a battle that will be! The Briscoes brought a unique element to tonight's match with their unpredictable antics on the arena floor- and Garea and Zbyszko just couldn't keep up. All right, fans- we're done here. RANDY 'MACHO MAN' SAVAGE**** pinned JACKIE FARGO**** (w/JIMMY HART) with the Flying Elbow Drop

The Macho Man came up big tonight, fending off the challenge of the leader of 3W. As the match went back and forth, STAN HANSEN & SHANE DOUGLAS circled the ring to distract and threaten the Macho Man. But 'DR. DEATH' STEVE WILLIAMS & GARY ALBRIGHT arrived at ringside to neutralize the threat, and Macho Man was able to keep his focus on the match and earn the victory.

EpicDave: A big win for the Macho Man! That sets up SAVAGE vs. MURACO as the top contenders for the PWMA Heavyweight Championship. That's gonna be a great match- and regardless of who wins, the champion TERRY FUNK is gonna have his hands full.


PWMA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP- #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH
THE VACHON BROTHERS (MAD DOG & BUTCHER) defeated BILL DUNDEE* & DUTCH MANTEL* when Mad Dog pinned Mantell with a Piledriver.



MAIN EVENT: LONE STAR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
JERRY LYNN pinned DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE* with a Deathjump

Another distraction from WHATEVER WE WANT proved costly in this match. A frustrated JACKIE FARGO made his way back to ringside, just as Jerry Lynn was preparing a Deathjump. Page was distracted by Fargo, enabling Lynn to connect with the Deathjump for a flash pin!

JERRY LYNN CAPTURES THE LONE STAR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: Congratulations to JERRY LYNN- the new Lone Star Heavyweight Champion! Lynn got the three count and got the victory- but I have no idea what JACKIE FARGO was doing out here. Fargo had no dog in this fight. I guess he does Whatever He Wants- and where have we heard that before? There doesn't seem to be any hard feelings between Page and Jerry- so at the end of it all, we have a new Lone Star champion here tonight in Houston. All right, fans- we're done here. Battle for the Mystic Stone
SAGE HALE vs. BRIAR HALE

The Battle for the Mystic Stone pitted sister vs. sister under the watchful eye of KARLEE PEREZ at ringside. Sage and Briar wasted no time getting after each other, and the action was fast and furious. Briar caught a couple of early near-falls with an aerial assault, but a distraction from Karlee prevented Sage from being pinned. The brawl escalated and spilled out of the ring, where Karlee smashed Briar over the head with a hand mirror, knocking her silly. ALLYSIN KAY & MARTI BELLE came to ringside and shoved Briar back into the ring. Sage dumped her sister with a Full Nelson Flatliner, then covered her for the pin.

WINNER: SAGE HALE

After the decision, Sage retrieved the Mystic Stone and returned it to Karlee Perez. Allysin and Marti picked up Briar and carried her away from ringside and disappeared through the curtain.

Velvet: Oh my… poor Briar… all she wanted was to rescue her sister. But Sage is so brainwashed by Karlee and The Hex, I don't think the spell will ever be broken. How tragic. But now- it's time for the Heartland Ladies' Tag Team Championship!


Heartland Ladies' Tag Team Championship
CORA & DEBBIE COMBS (c) vs. TASHA STEELZ & BIG SWOLE

The challengers wasted no time in taking the fight to Cora and Debbie. Cora in particular was the target of a double team assault by Swole and Tasha, and Debbie Combs was powerless to intervene. After a sweet double-team takedown of Cora, it was Big Swole who went to the air with a perfect cross-body block on Cora to score the pin.

WINNERS: TASHA STEELZ & BIG SWOLE

TASHA STEELZ & BIG SWOLE CAPTURE THE HEARTLAND LADIES' TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Velvet: Congratulations to Tasha and Swole! They rocked it tonight!

EpicDave: No doubt- the new champions definitely earned their flowers tonight. And now- it's time for the Patriot Heavyweight Championship!

Apter: It's been an intense rivalry between RICK RUDE and 'SUPERSTAR' BILLY GRAHAM. And tonight, it is Two Out Of Three Falls to determine the champion once and for all!


Patriot Heavyweight Championship: Two out of Three Falls
'RAVISHING' RICK RUDE (c) vs. 'SUPERSTAR' BILLY GRAHAM

First Fall: The first fall saw both men going at it full force! Neither Rude nor Graham held anything back, throwing down with maximum intensity. Graham went after the neck and back of Rude, powering him across the ring with throws and stomping and kicking at the fallen champion. Rude battled back, giving as good as he got. But the power of Superstar took control, and Rude began to wear down. Rude became desperate and went to the top rope, but Graham was ready and rolled through Rude's cross body block and held Rude down for the cover.

After the first fall, 'ROWDY' RODDY PIPER came to ringside, ranting and making a spectacle of himself.

EpicDave: What is Piper doing out here? He has a segment scheduled later in the show- but I have NO IDEA what prompted him to come out here and take the attention away from this championship match.

Second Fall: Rude was able to take advantage of the distraction, getting the advantage on Graham in the second fall and locking Graham into the Sleeper Hold. With Piper taunting Graham, Graham was unable to escape, and Rude put Graham's lights out to even the match at one fall apiece.

Third Fall: Graham was able to recover his senses during the break, and Graham and Rude went back to battling on equal footing. But as the match wore on, the pounding of Superstar Graham took its toll on the champion, and Graham was able to catch the Superstar Bearhug. Rude stubbornly resisted, surviving to escape to the ropes to force the hold to be broken, but the champion was spent. The match resumed, and Graham quickly caught the Superstar Bearhug a second time, and this time, Rude was forced to submit.

WINNER: 'SUPERSTAR' BILLY GRAHAM

'SUPERSTAR' BILLY GRAHAM REGAINS THE PATRIOT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Apter: Congratulations to 'SUPERSTAR' BILLY GRAHAM! The Superstar has won the Patriot Heavyweight Championship for a record FOURTH time! And he has conquered his rival and nemesis, Rick Rude, to finally secure his title.

EpicDave: Graham has clearly earned his stripes today. Now, let's hear from Piper's Pit!

The segment opened with an ear-splitting accordion solo performed enthusiastically by MARK HENRY.

Velvet: Oh, my goodness! My ears will never be the same!

Piper was accompanied to the set by VADER, who stood guard as THE ROAD WARRIORS entered the set.

Piper: Gentlemen, welcome! Welcome to Piper's Pit! We have certainly had some nasty fights against you two big boys, and I respect that. But Hot Rod has to know- why are you here? Why come all the way to the nasty cesspool of places like Boston and Philadelphia, and worst of all, the Dump of Washington DC, just to pick a fight with dangerous dudes like Vader and Mark Henry?

Hawk: Well? Rowdy Roddy Piper? Mighty fancy digs you got here! You're not such a bad guy. You're one of my favorite people to beat up. I'd beat you up for free- but what would be the point? Tell 'em, Animal!

Animal: There's only one thing better than beating people up. And that's beating people up for money. You think these biceps are big? You should see the paychecks the GARY HART is writing for us. Brother, THAT is big!

Piper: I can respect that.

As the conversation continues, THE GREAT MALENKO enters the set.

Malenko: Why are you boys here? Why are you talking to this man? This man is the enemy- and Gary Hart does not pay us to associate with the enemy, only to destroy the enemy.

Piper: Listen, pal- nobody invited you. This ain't Malenko's Pit- this is Piper's Pit. So if you wanna come out here and talk about destroying your enemy- why don't you and me just get into that ring and see who comes out alive?

Malenko: Me? Wrestle you? Son, you are not worth my time. Come on, Warrior Boys- we have more important business than this loudmouthed boor.

Piper: Run away! Run away! Okay, great professor, go ahead and run away. If you don't want a match with the Hot Rod, you can just take your sorry carcass out of here and leave the real men to do the talking.

Hawk and Animal look at each other, shrugging their shoulders as Malenko refuses the challenge and departs.

Animal: That stinkin' coward is worthless. We'll have an easier time kicking your scrawny little butt all by ourselves anyway.

Hawk: See you in the ring, punk!


EpicDave: Well- I guess we learned two things from that little segment. The Road Warriors like money- as if there was any doubt- and Boris Malenko wants nothing to do with 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper.

Velvet: Enough chitchat already. It's time for the Heartland Ladies' Championship!


Heartland Ladies' Championship
KELLY KLEIN (c) vs. MS. FRANKIE JAY

On paper, this was a colossal mismatch. In reality, this was a colossal mismatch indeed. Kelly took control of this match from the outset, and the outcome was never in doubt. To her credit, Frankie did her best to put up a fight, but Kelly dominated the action and scored a clean pinfall with a Side Backbreaker.

WINNER: KELLY KLEIN

KELLY KLEIN RETAINS THE HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP

Velvet: Kelly is awesome. What else can be said?

EpicDave: She has been tearing through the competition, first as Mistress of Mayhem and now as Heartland Ladies' Champion. Next up fans- this ought to be an outstanding battle for the NWA World Tag Team Championship!


NWA World Tag Team Championship
THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (c) vs. JAY & MARK BRISCOE

As expected, the Midnights and the Briscoes hooked up in a very entertaining battle for the titles. JAMES E. CORNETTE was at ringside, pulling full force for the Midnights, despite his history with the Briscoes. The Briscoes were on point to begin the matchup, isolating Lane and punishing him. Mark Briscoe unleashed a flurry of Redneck Kung Fu on Lane, but somehow Lane survived to tag in Eaton. Eaton and Lane battled back, but Lane took another serious round of punishment, leading to a Double Shoulder Tackle which nearly ended the match. But Lane again escaped to tag in Eaton, and Eaton soared from the top rope with a Veg-O-Matic on Jay and caught the three count.

WINNERS: THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS

THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS RETAINS THE NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

EpicDave: What an explosive move by BOBBY EATON. When the chips were down, the Midnights came through in the clutch and managed to escape with their titles intact. And now, fans- it's time for your Main Event!



Main Event: NWA World Heavyweight Championship
BARRY WINDHAM (c) vs. DUSTY RHODES

Tension filled the arena as the confrontation between Rhodes and Windham was introduced. Dusty was accompanied to the ring by BOBO BRAZIL. JIMMY HART led Windham to the ring, seconded by OLE ANDERSON. As the opening bell sounded, Ole confronted Rhodes, and words were exchanged. Bobo quickly hit the ring to watch Dusty's back, and Jimmy Hart drew the attention of the referee. In the midst of the chaos, STAN HANSEN slid into the ring and clocked Dusty with his cowbell! Dusty was knocked for a loop, and Windham annihilated Dusty with a Lariat and pinned him in the center of the ring.

WINNER: BARRY WINDHAM

BARRY WINDHAM RETAINS THE NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

We are here tonight at the University of Florida in the steamy city of Gainesville, as the Atlantic Wrestling Federation completes its 2024 tour of the Southeastern Conference. What a fun trip we have had- and tonight we wrap it up with a stellar show, as we kick off the 2024 Filsinger Cup Tournaments! We will have FIVE tournament matches here tonight, plus a spectacular Main Event as DUSTY RHODES defends the Atlantic Heavyweight Championship against LOU THESZ. And of course, the Epic Sports Broadcasting Network will be on hand to live-stream tonight's feature matches. Gainesville is Gator Country, fans- which means you never know what lies ahead. So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!


TOM JENKINS defeated BOBO BRAZIL by disqualification

Once again, RIC FLAIR made an unwelcome appearance at a Bobo Brazil match. This time, Flair pulled Jenkins out of the ring and stung Jenkins with a vicious chop, costing Bobo the DQ.

EpicDave: Wow. Flair is doing everything he can to mess with the head of Bobo Brazil- and tonight, he cost Bobo a match. But now, fans- the Filsinger Cup Tournament begins!

FILSINGER CUP TOURNAMENT MATCH:
THE STEINER BROTHERS (RICK & SCOTTY*****) defeated THE FANTASTICS (TOMMY ROGERS** & BOBBY FULTON**) when Scotty pinned Rogers after a double-team Backbreaker/Elbow Drop combination

A terrific tag team bout! The teamwork was amazing from both teams. The Steiners controlled most of the action, but couldn't put the Fantastics away. The Fantastics survived a couple of near-falls before they were able to isolate Scotty. Rogers hit Scotty with the Rocket Launcher, and Rick barely made the save. Rick tagged in and turned the momentum back to the Steiners, allowing Scotty to rest up until the opportunity came for Scotty to return to the ring and take out Tommy with a double-team for the pin.


FILSINGER CUP TOURNAMENT MATCH:
BUDDY ROGERS*** defeated GEORGE TRAGOS**** by submission with the Figure-Four Grapevine

EpicDave: That was unbelievable! Tragos was a decided underdog in this match- but I'll be darned if he didn't almost pull the upset. Rogers was a little too overconfident in that match and nearly paid the price. And now, fans- it's time for the Main Event. Can DUSTY RHODES hold the Atlantic Heavyweight Championship? Or will LOU THESZ be too much for the Dream?


MAIN EVENT: ATLANTIC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
LOU THESZ defeated DUSTY RHODES*** by submission with the Stepover Toehold Facelock

Thesz was in control from start to finish in the Main Event. Using his technical wrestling mastery, Thesz took Rhodes to the canvas and twisted him into all kinds of knots. Dusty was never able to get any offense going, and in a matter of minutes, Thesz forced the submission.

LOU THESZ WINS THE ATLANTIC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
