I tried to give Larry Sweeney the benefit of the doubt a couple of shows back but he is at it again. Sweeney, you are cruisin' for a bruisin' my friend and if you think that Jessie McKay has what it takes to beat Cheerleader Melissa you will have to bring every one of your cronies to interfere. Of course that is your plan since you want a No DQ match but keep in mind that can be of benefit to Melissa too. As for that phone number let's just say I sealed the deal and leave it that. Jealous, Sweeney? Or should I say jealous, Jessie!

Ok now that I got that out of my system congrats to Delirious on regaining the CHIKARA Grand Championship from Ricochet. That 630 Senton is spectacular but also dangerous and unfortunately Ricochet paid the price. The Tag League is a real favorite of mine and that was a huge win for The Tribe to regain the Indy Division lead. Hallowicked & Frightmare also pick up a huge win pulling them one closer to the Bravado Brothers for the CHIKARA Division lead. Congrats also to Crossbones on his Battle Royal win to qualify for the Generic Secondary Championship.

Another outstanding show and that's it for this Aftershow and I will end it with a classic from L.A. Guns - Bitch Is Back...

The show opens with the tune, "Awake and Alive" by Skillet playing overhead. DAYTONDAVE & WARLORD work their way down the aisle, greeting the cheering fans.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to another Saturday night of CHIKARA excitement!

Warlord: Eastern Eagles, hats off for you! Fight fight fight for old EMU!

(Cheers)

Daytondave: That's enough out of you, Warlord. We have a special entertainment feature planned tonight- way better than you and your cheap pops!

Warlord: What could be better than a trip to beautiful Ypsilanti?

(Cheers)

Daytondave: You'll just have to find out. But tonight, we have plenty of hot action lined up, including a championship Main Event! THE CANADIAN NINJAS and THE DOLL HOUSE are going to square off in a best two-out-of-three falls match for the Heartland Ladies' Tag Team Championship! We'll also see a No Disqualification Grudge Match tonight, and the 2017 Independent Tag Team League rolls on. It's going to be an awesome night in Eagle Country, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!



CHIKARA TRIOS
3.OLE (EL GENERICO**, SCOTT PARKER, & SHANE MATTHEWS) defeated STEVE CORINO*, RHINO, & JIMMY JACOBS
The fans were shocked at the appearance of the unexpected ROH trio, but the boys of 3.Ole were up for the challenge. Big Shane squared off against Rhino to open the match, and 3.Ole tagged in and out quickly. Jacobs came in against Generico, but Corino reached in from out of the ring and nailed Generico with a forearm to the back of the head. Generico was stunned, and Rhino drilled Generico with the GORE! Generico was down, but Parker alertly made the save and the match continued. Corino tagged in, but Parker and Matthews teamed up to drop Corino with a Double Russian Leg Sweep and Matthews covered him for the three count!


Warlord: Great googly moogly! 3.Ole wins! Who knew these ROH schleps would get beat?

Daytondave: Corino has been burning up my phone wanting to get back into the Heartland- but tonight he found out just how competitive it can be with the pride of CHIKARA!



MATT CROSS*** pinned JIMMY RAVE*****
A sensational battle! Cross and Rave went at each other for over fifteen minutes, with both men hitting high spots and pouring out everything in their respective arsenals. Cross unleashed an aerial flurry, capped off by Death From Above, but Rave managed to kick out and mount a rally of his own. Rave delivered a brutal beating on the arena floor, then dropped Cross with a brutal STO for a near fall. Cross found his second wind and put Rave down with a flying Double Stomp, setting up Cross for the victory with a second Death From Above.


Daytondave: What a match!

Warlord: An epic confrontation between two of the legendary gladiators of the sport. Tyson-Holyfield... Clemens-Piazza... Bird-Magic...

Daytondave: I wouldn't go THAT far- but those two guys both needed a win and they both left it all in the ring tonight.



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
TEAM TREMENDOUS (3-3) vs. OI4K (2-4)
A fine contest between two skilled tag teams. Carr used his power to do damage to both the Crist Brothers, but Team Tremendous collided after an attempted double-team and OI4K took control. Working together smoothly, OI4K pulled off a combination shoot kick and moonsault on Barry for the finish.


WINNERS: OI4K


Daytondave: The Crist Brothers were on the same page tonight, and they took advantage of the miscalculation by Team Tremendous to earn the victory. All right, fans- next up- a big match between two top 8 guys gunning for a title shot!



JOCK SAMSON pinned RODERICK STRONG***
Samson strikes again! Strong seemed to have control of this match from the beginning, until Jock exploded off the ropes and clobbered Roddy with a big right hand. Before Strong could get his wits back, Samson hoisted Roddy and powered him down with a massive Power Slam! Samson followed with a Piledriver, but Strong rolled out of the ring. The arena floor provided no escape for Strong, as Samson caught him and pounded Roderick's head into the concrete with a running bulldog. Roderick was nearly knocked out, and was easy pickins for Samson after a second Piledriver.


Daytondave: Wow! I thought that Roderick Strong would be able to take that guy- but clearly I thought wrong.

Warlord: Heavens to Betsy, that is one double-tough hillbilly!

Daytondave: And he's just one match away from a title shot. Will wonders never cease? Fans, we have reached the midpoint of tonight's action, and that means it's time for 'Sweet Talk'!

The scene shifts to the set of 'Sweet Talk'. LARRY SWEENEY struts around the stage, decked out in his black sequined robe and neon green boa. He is accompanied by KIMBER LEE and JESSIE MCKAY. All three are smirking and jovial, taunting the crowd as Sweeney takes the microphone.

Sweeney: Keep the noise down, you Ypsilanti Yahoos- it's Sweeney Time. The indies are blazing this week and we have a lot of ground to cover. My first order of business is to give kudos to Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment for a successful return to action! The highlight of that show was definitely KELLY KLEIN defending the Ladies' Title over CHEERLEADER MELISSA. That's a great accomplishment, considering that Melissa already holds two titles and she is the hottest lady in the indies!

Jessie: Not for long! I'm gonna take her out!

Kimber: You better be careful messing with Melissa.

Jessie: I'm not afraid of her!

Kimber: You should be… she's been sleeping with CRUEFAN! Who knows what you might catch?

Jessie: That's a good point. You won't BELIEVE how many shots I had to get when I was with him! What was I thinking?

Kimber and Jessie giggle.

Sweeney: Enough out of you two! All this talk of Cruefan and his sex life is starting to give me the willies. I think I just threw up a little in the back of my mouth. While we are on the topic of the ladies of the independents, let me give a shout-out to the new CCW SuperGirls federation! These ladies knocked it out of the park in their debut- especially MERCEDES MARTINEZ, who scored a big win in a Ladies' Fatal Four-Way against MADISON EAGLES, MSCHIF, and CHEERLEADER MELISSA. To add to the drama, a new faction has arisen in CCW, calling themselves the BULLET GIRLS- NEVAEH, JESSICKA HAVOK, SHAYNA BASZLER, & NICOLE SAVOY. This gang has already gotten into it with SARAYA KNIGHT- and that is a war that might boil over into all-out destruction.

Sweeney: One of the highlights of the week went down in Rob Bennett's new Dynamite Pro territory. Believe it or not, the BLUE FREAKING MEANIE pulled off a Meaniesault from the top of a steel cage! That was what the Germans would call a Heilige Scheisse moment! And if that didn't ruin the night for DANNY DORING, things went from bad to worse when Doring got shoved off of the top of the cage by JIMMY JACOBS. Last I heard, Doring was seriously injured and we may not hear from him for a long time. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, my man.

Sweeney: Another serious situation went down in Ring of Honor: New York this week, when MATT JACKSON was on the receiving end of a Fireball thrown by KEVIN SULLIVAN. Just when you thought the Young Bucks couldn't get any uglier- that happened.

Sweeney: Congrats to all of the ROH: NY champions, who successfully defended their belts this week. Heavyweight Champion MICHAEL ELGIN, TV Champ BJ WHITMER, and the team of KENNY OMEGA & CHRIS SABIN all won their title matches this week. Ditto for Vegas Championship Wrestling champ ELI DRAKE. Well done, champs!

Sweeney: Finally, Beyond Wrestling continues to roll this week. DA HIT SQUAD is tearing it up! MAFFIA and MACK are now 7-0 and showing no signs of slowing down. Strong work, men! JT DUNN is still the top guy in the singles ranks at 7-2, but the competition is hot!

2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE ROUGHNECKS (3-3) vs. PIECES OF HATE (3-3)
A remarkable comeback by the Pieces of Hate! The Roughnecks opened a can of whoop-ass on Jigsaw for most of the match, but a timely pin save by Shard kept their hopes alive. Shard finally came in against Brodie and unleashed a flurry of kicks from every direction to subdue the big man! Lee escaped to the floor, but Shard launched himself from the apron and drilled Brodie with a jumping enzuigiri! Lee went down, and in spite of Grizzly's efforts to assist the big man, Brodie was unable to return to the ring and was counted out.


WINNERS (via countout): PIECES OF HATE


Warlord: Down goes the Big Rig!

Daytondave: An incredible rally by the Shard! When this guy is not acting like a Gekido lackey, he can get it done in the ring. Fans- it's time now for another Grudge Match as a result of the events we saw last week. Let's take you back to the videotape to set up tonight's confrontation.


Footage is displayed from the tag team match in Mt. Pleasant one week ago. As the members of WAR MACHINE celebrated their victory over COLIN DELANEY & CHEECH, the fans erupted with the appearance of MIKE QUACKENBUSH & MISTER ZERO! Quack and Zero charged the ring with steel chairs and took down the big men! Rowe rolled away to safety, but Hanson took a stiff chair shot from Zero and crumpled to the mat. Hanson took several more shots from both men before Rowe and Troy were able to pull him to safety.



GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION
RAYMOND ROWE pinned MISTER ZERO***
Mister Zero brought his best fight, but suffered a horrific beatdown at the hands of the tough Rowe. With TROY XAVIER cheering him on, Rowe took Zero to the arena floor and pummeled him with clotheslines and knee strikes until Zero was beaten to the ground. Zero fought back gamely with elbow strikes, but Rowe was too much and finished Zero with a pair of Death Rowes.

Following the decision, TIM DONST hit the ring and wailed on the fallen Zero! Donst stomped a mudhole into Zero, but as Donst was preparing to walk it dry, MIKE QUACKENBUSH & CHEECH stormed the ring with steel chairs and Donst and Rowe scurried away to safety.


Warlord: That was one ugly beating, dad gummit!

Daytondave: Give a little credit to Zero- he has been a loyal soldier in this war, but he was in over his head tonight against a brute like Rowe.

Warlord: And a putz like Tim Donst.

Daytondave: Donst has clearly had a change of heart, and he is at the core of this nasty feud. All right, fans- it's time for the Main Event!


MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND LADIES' TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: TWO OUT OF THREE FALLS
THE CANADIAN NINJAS (c) vs. THE DOLL HOUSE (MIA YIM & MARTI BELLE)
First Fall: Marti came after Nicole with unbridled aggression to open the match, and Nicole was on the defensive. But Portia caught Marti by the hair from the ring apron and yanked Marti down to the mat! Referee BIG JIM THE ENFORCER issued a stern warning to Portia, as Nicole went to the top rope. Nicole came off with a missile dropkick, but missed Marti and crashed into Big Jim! Jim took the full brunt of the blow and was knocked to the mat. The Ninjas immediately began double-teaming on Marti. Mia tried to rescue her partner, but the fans gasped in shock as TROY XAVIER appeared at ringside!

Warlord: What's that guy doing here?

Warlord's question was answered when Troy grabbed Mia by the ankle and prevented her from helping her partner! Mia turned and kicked out at Troy, but Troy dodged the kick and slithered to the opposite side of the ring. Nicole and Portia continued to have their way with Marti, planting the challenger with a double-team side slam. Marti was clearly hurting, and Troy took the opportunity to roust Big Jim and direct his attention to the ring. Nicole was in control, and dropped Marti with the Vancouver Manuever for the three count!

Daytondave: A stroke of genius by the Ninjas! They have recruited a mastermind to aid their cause!

Warlord: A mastermind? He's a scumbag!

Daytondave: Opinions vary, my man. The Ninjas still have to win another fall- but it looks like Marti is in rough shape.


Big Jim checked on Marti Belle, as Marti was clearly favoring her left shoulder. But Marti brushed Big Jim aside, and insisted upon continuing.


Second Fall: The Ninjas continued to dominate Marti in the second fall, as Portia dropped Marti on her injured shoulder with a brutal Divorce Court. Marti was in severe pain and desperate straits, but she finally managed to explode off the ropes and hammer Nicole with a running knee smash! Using her good arm, Marti rolled to her corner and made the hot tag to Mia! Mia hit the ring on fire, plastering Nicole with kicks from every direction until Nicole collapsed into the neutral corner. With the crowd on fire, Mia teed up for the Spinning Seoul Kick, but Portia dashed into the ring and obliterated Mia with a running spear! Big Jim went ballistic, but the damage had been done. Nicole crawled to her corner and made the legal tag to Portia. Portia came in on Mia and took her to school, and after a spectacular Superkick, Portia made the cover on Mia for the win.


THE CANADIAN NINJAS RETAIN THE HEARTLAND LADIES' TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP


Warlord: I told you that Troy Xavier is a piece of garbage, but you wouldn't believe me.

Daytondave: A smart move by the Ninjas to align themselves with the mastermind. Congratulations to Nicole and Portia for retaining the Championship! You may not agree with the tactics, but the Ninjas have upped the ante and tonight's results are evidence that these ladies are ready to dominate. All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! We have had plenty of excitement here tonight, but there is always more to come! Check us out next Saturday night when we return with more great CHIKARA action, including a six-man gauntlet match for the last slot in the finals for the Generic Secondary Championship. Wow Sweeney, Jessie and Kimber Lee just can't stop talking about me. Let's just say I get the job done and leave it at that. Since my mind is on the ladies I have to say that the tag title main event was stellar and the Canadian Ninjas continue to prove why they are the best. Adding the controversial Troy Xavier to their team will only make them harder to beat. Mia Yim & Marti Belle put up a good fight but unfortunately it was not enough.

Good to see more Tag League action with both Pieces of Hate and OI4K getting a much needed wins. One of my favorites, Mister ZERO, took a great beating from both Raymond Rowe and Tim Donst. Not good. Donst is really becoming a top villain in the Heartland. I loved the wins by both 3.Ole and Matt Cross early on the show, good stuff.

The show opened with the tune, "Line In The Sand" by Motorhead playing overhead. DAYTONDAVE and WARLORD move down the aisle, waving to the cheering fans as they make their way to the announcers' table.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to CHIKARA Saturday night! The city of Buffalo is a great town with a stellar history of professional wrestling action. And tonight, the tradition continues with a great card- including the Heartland's first-ever Gauntlet Match! Six men will compete for the final slot in the championship match for the Generic Secondary Championship. What a brilliant plan conceived by our buddy GIANT BERNARD!

Warlord: He's a genius, ain't he?

Daytondave: Without a doubt. It's a big night ahead, fans-

Warlord: Right here in beautiful Buffalo!

2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE OSIRIAN PORTAL (2-4) vs. THE ADDICTION (3-3)
More insanity in the tag team ranks! The match had barely started when Ophidian was pulled off the ring apron by TIM DONST! WAR MACHINE quickly followed, and began to deliver a beatdown to both members of the Portal! Daniels and Kazarian slipped out of harm's way, but the fans erupted as MIKE QUACKENBUSH, CHEECH, & MISTER ZERO sprinted to the ring carrying steel chairs! Quackenbush aimed a wild swing at Donst, but Donst ducked away and the War Machine followed.


WINNERS (via disqualification): THE OSIRIAN PORTAL


Warlord: Yeah! Get those big ugly bozos out of the ring! Someone needs to put a stop to this crap!

Daytondave: Thank heavens that Quackenbush and his crew were here to come to the rescue. That could have been a disaster for the Portal!

Warlord: And instead, they get the decision via disqualification in a meaningless match between two teams going nowhere in the tag team league.

Daytondave: And a tough break for Daniels and Kazarian- but at least they got out of the ring with their skulls intact.



JERRY LYNN** pinned ACH**
A sensational matchup between two superb athletes. Both men took plenty of chances throughout the match, and Lynn survived a Best 450 Ever from ACH to the amazement of the crowd. Lynn came back and stunned ACH with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb. Working quickly, Lynn picked ACH off the mat and finished him with a Cradle Piledriver.


Daytondave: Now that's what I like to see. Serious competition between top-notch competitors.

Warlord: And no Troy Xavier.

Daytondave: Perhaps our next tag team match will go on without interruption.



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE SPECTRAL ENVOY (4-2) vs. THE BATIRI (2-4)
The Batiri came out with a purpose tonight, and that purpose was to overwhelm the Envoy. Obariyon launched into Frightmare from the opening bell, overwhelming the smaller opponent with knee strikes and suplexes and quickly dropping Frightmare with a flying DDT! Hallowicked made the save, but Kodama took out Hallowicked with a Jon Woo kick. Kodama and Obariyon doubled up on Frightmare, and it was Kodama who finished he win with a Flying Blockbuster.


WINNERS: THE BATIRI


Warlord: Heavens to Betsy! That was a terrific match for the Batiri!

Daytondave: What a performance by the Batiri! They took down the Envoy with ruthless efficiency. And a costly defeat for Hallowicked and Frightmare in their quest to catch THE BRAVADO BROTHERS on top of the CHIKARA Division. All right, fans- after such a top battle, we're going to take a break here and check out LARRY SWEENEY with this week's jam-packed edition of "Sweet Talk".

Sweeney: Hahaha! You're a bunch of numbskulls... so let me enlighten you about the wild world of independent wrestling. It was a HUGE week for CEDRIC ALEXANDER this week! My man successfully defended the Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment Championship- twice! DAVID STARR couldn't get it done, and neither could PETER KAASA. Strong work, my man!

Sweeney: Next up for Cedric is AR FOX. Fox won a 4-way scramble to earn his shot at the belt- will he be the one to finally topple Cedric? Also in Atlanta this week, JIMMY RAVE & DONOVAN DIJACK retained the Tag Team Titles over DEZMOND XAVIER & ZACHARY WENTZ. As much as I love those Ohio kids- well- they're kids! This is a man's game, boys- and Jimmy Rave is a man among men. Not only did Jimmy keep the tag belts, he also came out the winner in this week's Style Battle!

Sweeney: The indy circuit crowned not one, but TWO new sets of tag team champions this week! Out in Vegas Championship Wrestling, the legendary team of HAWAIIAN LION & NAVAJO WARRIOR, aka THE TRIBE, regained their titles with a victory over BUDDY ROYAL & LEVI SHAPIRO. The Tribe has done it all! Former King Of The Indies Tag Team Champions, back on top in Vegas, and at the top of the Independent Division of the 2017 Independent Tag Team League. Kudos to two of the toughest hombres on the scene.

Sweeney: Over at Evolve, the new tag champs are none other than THE BRAVADO BROTHERS! My guys took down RAPPONGI VICE to capture the titles- and they are the top CHIKARA team in the Independent League. Looks like the Tribe and the Bravados are on a collision course and they are to of the hottest teams going. Congrats also to Evolve Heavyweight Champion TRACY WILLIAMS, who defended his title this week with a win over his own stablemate, KYLE O'REILLY. That Catch Point crew has pulled some shady deeds in Evolve, and Williams continues to hold the belt and continues to duck the challenges of ZACH SABRE, JR.

Sweeney: Can't blame a guy for doing what he has to do. In other indy news, Beyond Wrestling ran a solid show this week, highlighted by a victory for DAVID STARR to push his record to 7-2 in singles action. That puts Starr in a tie for the top spot with JT DUNN. And, it was a crazy night for the CCW SuperGirls! Once again, SARAYA KNIGHT found herself at the center of controversy. She used her fake crutch to once again bloody NEVAEH in an eight-woman tag match- but her team when down to defeat to the BULLET GIRLS. Saraya blamed the defeat on her partner, CHEERLEADER MELISSA, and those two faced off after the show for some tense moments at the interview stand. Melissa and Saraya have had plenty of battles in the past, and it looks like they are headed down that road again.

Sweeney: All right, people- before I go put a whoopin' on some pathetic losers, I have a couple of announcements about the happenings right here in CHIKARA. Saturday, August 26 will be a big day in the Heartland, as Heartland Championship Wrestling celebrates House Show #800! Athens, Ohio, is a helluva party town, and they are going to be treated to a huge night, headlined by a King Of The Indies Championship match between ADAM COLE and CHIKARA's own RICOCHET! Also that night, y'all can make the trip to say farewell to CHEERLEADER MELISSA, because my girl Jessie is gonna send Melissa to an early grave.

Sweeney: Ha! But that ain't all, people. Labor Day Weekend will be the next CHIKARA pay-per-view! We're headed to the Convention Center in Lexington for Heartland Havoc LXXXII: Line In The Sand! That will be the night that yours truly finishes the deal and captures the Generic Secondary Championship in a Triple Threat Match. DELIRIOUS and RICOCHET will square off for the CHIKARA Grand Championship, and the King Of The Indies Tag Team Championship will be on the line in a rematch when CHRIS SABIN & KENNY OMEGA take on THE COLONY! I gotta hand to ya, Daytondave- the next few weeks of CHIKARA action are gonna be loaded!

GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION
TIM DONST (w/TROY XAVIER) defeated CHEECH** by submission
A brief, but intense confrontation went down as Cheech bravely called out the man who is the center of controversy in CHIKARA. Donst and Cheech clobbered each other for several minutes until Donst caught Cheech charging into the corner and dropped Cheech with an STO into the turnbuckle! Cheech went down, stunned, and Donst quickly clamped on the Hydro Lock. Cheech tried his best to fight off the hold, but Donst was relentless and Cheech was forced to tap out.

Following the submission, Donst stood over Cheech, screaming. When Donst began to put the boots to Cheech, Cheech was able to roll away and spring to his feet! Cheech caught Donst by surprise with a running spear, then Cheech hoisted Donst over his shoulder and nailed Donst with the Go 2 Cheech! Cheech went to the top rope, preparing for a shooting star press, but Donst quickly rolled out of the ring and staggered away to safety.


Daytondave: That was a close call for Tim Donst! Even though Donst won the match, he was lucky to escape without suffering injury.

Warlord: If Cheech hits that shooting star press, that could really hurt! That's like a buck-fiddy worth of flying Cheech coming down on you. Who could survive that?

Daytondave: One thing is for sure- the war between the Quackenbush forces and Tim Donst continues to heat up. Fans- speaking of heating up- it's time for tonight's Main Event!



MAIN EVENT: GENERIC SECONDARY QUALIFIER GAUNTLET MATCH

JUAN FRANCISCO DE CORONADO**** defeated TOMASSO CIAMPA*** by submission
After a long struggle with back-and-forth action, including several battles on the arena floor, Coronado tapped out Ciampa with the Coronado Clutch.

Warlord: That Coronado is one arrogant son of a biscuit eater!

Daytondave: That was an awesome match-up, but it took a lot out of Coronado. There are still four more guys coming!

SHANE STORM pinned JUAN FRANCISCO DE CORONADO*****
Coronado tried to get a quick start in the second bout, but Storm turned the tide in short order by dropping Coronado with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. This time, the arena floor offered no advantage to Coronado, and when action returned to the ring, Storm delivered a second tilt-a-whirl for the pin.

Daytondave: A very efficient win for Shane Storm. That bodes well for him, but the odds are still not in his favor.

SHANE STORM*** pinned WILL OSPREAY******
Will Ospreay was his own worst enemy in this match-up, twice missing on wild aerial attacks with devastating consequences. Ospreay managed to rally, knocking Storm down with an enzuigiri, but it wasn't enough and Storm came back to finish the match-up with That Japanese Move.

Warlord: Bye-bye, flippy dippy! You ain't gonna win a Gauntlet Match if you do all that crazy business in the very first match-up.

LARRY SWEENEY pinned SHANE STORM******
It was easy pickin's for Sweeney against the exhausted Shane. Storm offered little resistance as Sweeney quickly connected with a pair of 12 Large Elbow Drops.

Daytondave: Just one match to go- and Sweeney has the chance to emerge as the winner of the Gauntlet!

Warlord: And we will never hear the end of that! I hope we have a tough guy in position number six.

"ALL EGO" ETHAN PAGE pinned LARRY SWEENEY***
Sweeney was full of strut and bluster after pinning Storm, but Ethan Page was all business as he hit the ring. Sweeney taunted Page until Page connected with a BOOM! Head Shot which left Sweeney on dream street. Sweeney had barely regained his senses when Page delivered a second Head Shot which sent Sweeney reeling into the corner. Sweeney staggered to the center of the ring, and Page scored with a vicious superkick for the pin!

Daytondave: Congratulations to Ethan Page! He is the winner of tonight's Gauntlet Match and he will move on to the title match for the Generic Secondary Championship! The war between Tim Donst & War Machine and Mike Quackenbush, Cheech and Mister ZERO is gaining more heat by the week. I hated to see Donst and War Machine interfere in Tag League action which gave The Addiction a tough loss to the Osirian Portal. Donst over Cheech in the No DQ match was wild as was Cheech gaining some post-match revenge. Something is going to need to be done to settle things between these two sides.

Congrats to "All Ego" Ethan Page on gaining the final spot in the Generic Secondary Championship match and what better way to do it than by beating Larry Sweeney in the Gauntlet Match. Take that, Sweeney, and you can't even blame that one on me ha ha! Also Sweeney you are dreaming if you think that Jessie McKay is going to take that title from Cheerleader Melissa. Then again Page did send you into dreamland with that superkick!

The show opens with the tune, "Line in the Sand" by Motorhead playing overhead. DAYTONDAVE and WARLORD stand in the center of the ring in the packed arena.

Warlord: PEN-GUINS! PEN-GUINS! PEN-GUINS!

Daytondave: That's right, fans- we are here at the home of the Penguins, in a city I once called home.

Warlord: I can see your old apartment from here!

Daytondave: Pretty much. Not the greatest two years of my life, but a fine wrestling town and it's great to be here for tonight's midweek CHIKARA special. Tonight we'll have a couple of matches from the Heartland Ladies' Division, and a tag team match with a shot at the Campeonatos de Parejas on the line! It's gonna be an action-packed Wednesday night, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!



CHERRY BOMB defeated COURTNEY RUSH by submission
In a fast-paced and hard-hitting match, Cherry Bomb came back from early trouble and plastered Courtney with vicious knee strikes. Courtney slumped to the mat and Cherry quickly tapped her out with the Anger as Beauty.


Daytondave: A big win for Cherry! That puts her into the Ladies' Number One Contender Match this weekend. She's one win from a title match!



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE BRAVADO BROTHERS (5-1) vs. THE THROWBACKS (2-4)
It was a tense battle between two very skilled and well-coordinated teams. The Bravados took the measure of Sugar D for the opening segment of the match and nearly scored a quick win with the Gentleman's Approach. Dasher broke up the pin attempt and laid into Lancelot with a fierce barrage of clotheslines. Sugar returned to the match and assisted Dasher with a double-team Grandslam Dunk! Harlem saved his brother from defeat, but Dunkerton took out Harlem with a running lariat! Dasher dropped Lancelot with another Grandslam and the Throwbacks took the win!


WINNERS: THE THROWBACKS


Warlord: Shut the front door! The first-place Bravado Brothers have gone down to defeat!

Daytondave: The Throwbacks were dead on with their teamwork tonight- they beat the Bravados at their own game. The Bravados could have just about sealed the deal in the CHIKARA Division with a win tonight, but after that defeat, the SPECTRAL ENVOY and the PIECES OF HATE are still in the running. All right, fans- next up, another crucial match in the Heartland Ladies' Division!



TRISH STRATUS (w/JIMMY HART) pinned SHAZZA MCKENZIE**
Trish put a whoopin' on Shazza from start to finish tonight! Even Jimmy Hart was impressed by the ruthless efficiency that Trish displayed in subduing McKenzie with scissors, chops and choke holds until the Aussie was barely able to get to her feet. Trish wasted no time in finishing the beatdown with the Stratusfaction.


Daytondave: Trish was dominant tonight! She moves on to a Saturday night showdown against CHERRY BOMB with a title shot on the line!

Warlord: Heavens to Betsy, that was impressive. Little Jimmy didn't even have to get involved tonight.

Daytondave: A good point, Warlord- but whenever Jimmy Hart is around, trouble is not far behind. Okay, everybody- to top things off tonight, we have a couple of tag teams that have accumulated two points in CHIKARA competition! These teams will battle it out for the opportunity to challenge the Campeonatos!



TEAM F.I.S.T. (ICARUS & GRAN AKUMA) defeated ROCKY REYNOLDS**** & BENNET COLE
The former Campeonatos had their way with the upstart Dark Menace Forces tonight. Akuma and Icarus worked over Rocky Reynolds repeatedly as Cole desperately tried to keep his partner out of trouble.

As the match progressed, the fans were shocked by the appearance of TROY XAVIER at ringside! Troy tried to pull the referee out of the ring, but MIKE QUACKENBUSH dashed to ringside to confront Troy and enable the match to continue. Out of nowhere, RAYMOND ROWE & TIM DONST launched a sneak attack on Quackenbush! Quack went down to the floor, but MISTER ZERO made his way to ringside and chased away the attackers with a steel chair!

Warlord: Not this time, Troy! That weaselly little weasel won't ruin this match!

As Troy and his men scattered, the referee returned his attention to the match, but the result was a foregone conclusion. Team F.I.S.T. continued their destruction of Reynolds, and Rocky soon succumbed to the Wings of Icarus.


Daytondave: Congratulations to Team F.I.S.T.! Icarus and Akuma have made it back to contention and they have earned another shot at the Campeonatos de Parejas! I never thought I would see these two get a boost from Mike Quackenbush- but Quack saved the contenders' match tonight and we all owe him a debt of gratitude. All right, fans- we're done here.
