The Throwbacks picked up a much needed win over the Bravados in the Tag League, and in the process prevent them from securing a block win. Plenty of ladies action on tap and that was a good win for Cherry Bomb over Courtney Rush. Trish Stratus was truly impressive in beating Shazza McKenzie so now it is Cherry vs. Trish for the title shot. My money is on Trish especially with Jimmy Hart in her corner. The war between Team Quack and Team Donst is crazy, especially when Quack is out there assisting Team F.I.S.T. in getting a title shot.

Convocation Center, Athens, Ohio

The show opens with DAYTONDAVE standing in the center of the ring. The fans are buzzing with anticipation but the sound system remains silent.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to Heartland Championship Wrestling House Show #800! It's been eleven glorius years, but tonight we are going to kick things off with a special moment featuring the very first person EVER to set foot in a Heartland ring. Please welcome LILLIAN GARCIA!

The crowd erupts in applause as Lillian enters the ring and treats the Convocation Center to a stirring rendition of the National Anthem.

Daytondave: All right! Thank you, Lillian, for a trip down memory lane to Card #1 in October of 2006! But now it's a new era and it's all about CHIKARA. We have a loaded card from top to bottom tonight, with the King Of The Indies Championship to be defended in our Main Event when CHIKARA superstar RICOCHET challenges ADAM COLE for the top title in the Indies! Plus, we'll have titles, grudge matches, and celebrity appearances all night long. It's gonna be a great celebration, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
CATCH POINT (0-6) vs. DREW GALLOWAY & JOHNNY GARGANO (3-3)
Williams and Yehi were fired up to kick off the night, but when Galloway drilled Yehi with a short-arm lariat, the mood changed in a heartbeat. Yehi struggled to his feet and Galloway annihilated him with a Big Boot for the pin.

WINNERS: GALLOWAY & GARGANO


As the participants cleared the ring, WARLORD emerged through the curtain, accompanied by DON LEO JONATHAN. Don Leo handed out Krispy Kreme doughnuts to fans throughout the arena as Warlord joined Daytondave and ringside.

Warlord: It's show number 800, everybody gets a doughnut, and Catch Point loses again. You promised us surprises tonight, Daytondave. I almost thought Catch Point would get their first ever victory, RIGHT HERE IN BOBCAT COUNTRY!

(Cheers)

Daytondave: A cheap pop? That's no surprise. Now, fans- a very interesting match for the #1 Contender spot for the Heartland Ladies' Championship! The Ladies' Championship was first awarded on December 5, 2009 to the one and only SARA DEL REY. We are excited to have Sara in attendance here tonight for this big showdown!



HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH
TRISH STRATUS (w/JIMMY HART) pinned CHERRY BOMB**
Under the watchful eye of Sara, Hart was on his best behavior tonight. In the ring, Cherry and Trish battled evenly for several minutes until Trish connected with a bicycle kick to stun Cherry. That was the only opening Trish would need to deliver the victory with the Stratusfaction.


Daytondave: Congratulations to Trish Stratus! She will battle CHEERLEADER MELISSA for the Heartland Ladies' Championship next Saturday night at Heartland Havoc LXXXII: Line In The Sand!



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE TRIBE (5-1) vs. SCORPIO SKY & JOEY RYAN (4-2)
The battle for the top spot in the Independent Division was intense from the opening bell. The Tribe quickly doubled up on Scorpio, isolating him and punishing Scorpio with a series of double-team blows. Warrior gave Sky a vicious strapping on the arena floor, then the Tribe unleashed the Reservation Devastation on Scorpio and nearly captured a quick win. Finally, Scorpio escaped from the ring and managed to whip Warrior into the steel security rail. Both men were down, and Scorpio managed to crawl back to the ring and tag out to Ryan. Joey hit the ring a house a fire, taking over on Lion with right hands before taking Lion to the mat with a variety of submission holds. Ryan clamped on the Kimura and tortured Lion, but the proud Hawaiian stubbornly refused to submit. Lion finally powered his way to Warrior to make the tag, and the Navajo came after Ryan with a flurry of vicious chops. Ryan absorbed a vicious beating, and rolled out of the ring. Warrior kept on the pressure, and in desperation, Ryan waffled the Warrior with a steel chair! The referee immediately called for the bell, but the battle was far from over.


WINNERS (via disqualification): THE TRIBE


Daytondave: An unfortunate loss for Scorpio and Joey.

Warlord: Unfortunate? How about idiotic? That was a big match situation and Ryan had momentum on his side.

Daytondave: Don't mince words, Warlord. How do you really feel? Ryan and Scorpio desperately needed that match, and Joey pushed the limits one step too far. The Tribe pretty much has the Independent Division wrapped up at the end of block 8. Let's take a look at the current standings:

Warlord: It's still all about The Tribe and THE BRAVADO BROTHERS.

Daytondave: Without a doubt. All right, fans- before we go to break- the mood is about to change. We have a tag team grudge match involving four very angry men.



GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION
MIKE QUACKENBUSH* & MR. ZERO defeated RAYMOND ROWE*** & TIM DONST (w/TROY XAVIER)
Emotions ran high in this battle, with Quackenbush and Donst exchanging angry words. Rowe overpowered Quackenbush and powered him down with an Avalanche Suplex, driving the wind out of Quack. Donst came in for a double-team, but Quackenbush slipped free and tagged out to Zero. But Quackenbush returned to the ring at the earliest opportunity, taking over on Rowe with a sweet display of chain wrestling. Quack had Rowe tied up in knots, and dropped the big man with the Quackendriver II. Despite the attempts of Troy to distract the official, the ref made the three count for the pin.

After the decision, the heated debate between Quackenbush and Donst continued. Out of nowhere, HANSON stormed to the ring and jumped Quackenbush from behind!

Warlord: Hanson is back! This guy has been on the shelf for weeks!

Hanson clobbered Quackenbush and knocked him to the mat. Donst took control and locked Quackenbush into the Chikara Special! The referee tried to intervene, but Xavier pulled the ref out of the ring. Hanson and Rowe cleared Zero out of the ring, leaving Quackenbush at the mercy of Donst's painful submission hold. Troy smoked the referee with a steel chair, then slid chairs into the ring for Hansen and Rowe. COLIN DELANEY and CHEECH dashed to ringside, but the big men from the War Machine used the chairs to keep the reinforcements at bay. Donst tortured Quackenbush with the Chikara Special until Quack nearly collapsed from the pain. Finally, Donst released the hold, and Hanson and Rowe put the boots to Quack and rolled him out of the ring.

Warlord: What a disgusting move by that piece of garbage Troy Xavier! Quackenbush could be seriously hurt!

Daytondave: A stroke of genius by the evil mastermind- he saved Hanson for just the right moment. And what a powerful statement by Donst- using the submission hold that Quackenbush taught him to put a serious hurting on his former mentor. The fans are outraged with Donst and his entire brigade. Looks like Quackenbush is going to be able to hobble back to the locker room with the help of his friends. While things are getting calmed down, let's check out this week's edition of "Sweet Talk".

The scene shifts to the set of "Sweet Talk", where LARRY SWEENEY struts around the stage with a grin. He is joined by KIMBER LEE, who is preening and waving to the crowd with disdain.

Sweeney: Hey you crazy party animals, welcome to Sweet Talk! It's a great night for Heartland Championship Wrestling. We know that already, and if I hear that one more time from Daytondave I am going to toss my cookies. You know what's great? Being Larry Sweeney! The best-looking, smartest, most talented guy in this dump. It's especially good to be me tonight, because I get to watch my girl JESSIE MCKAY put that arrogant CHEERLEADER MELISSA on the shelf once and for all.

(Boos)

Sweeney: Yeah, yeah- boo all you want. Free speech, I get that. But since this is show #800, I do have a special guest lined up. No, it's not that trashy tramp VELVET SKY. They wanted me to invite her for the nostalgia angle- but I have my own nostalgic icon joining me tonight. Give it up for the world renowned PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON!

The fans erupt with surprise and cheers as the President joins Sweeney on the set. Clinton offers Sweeney a handshake, but Sweeney grabs Clinton in a hug, fighting back his own tears of elation. After a prolonged and awkward embrace, Clinton breaks free and turns his attention to Kimber. Kimber giggles as Clinton kisses her cheek, then throws caution to the wind and dips Kimber low for a deep kiss. Kimber blushes and fans herself as she tries to regain her composure.

Sweeney: Hahaha! You still got it, sir! We haven't seen you around here since… well… that unfortunate night at Slick Willie's Presidential Library and Gentlemen's Club. I have many happy memories of Thursday night Amateur Nights at that fine establishment!

Clinton: Well, thank you, Larry. We enjoyed having you, even if you were a lousy tipper. Congratulations on the new talk show. I really admire the work that you do here.

Sweeney: Thank YOU, sir, for all your inspiration over the years. Now- let's talk wrestling! We sure saw plenty of blood and guts this week in Vegas Championship Wrestling. That WARDOME was a ghastly environment for a wrestling tournament- you'll never see a pretty face like mine competing in a bloodbath like that. But, congrats to CEDRIC THE HITMAN, who surprised us all and survived the WARDOME as the winner! I also hope you enjoyed the title defense by CHEERLEADER MELISSA, who won a tough contest against NICOLE SAVOY. That may be the last we ever see of Melissa, after she gets eliminated tonight by Jessie's Master Plan.

Clinton: I don't know what you have against Melissa, Larry. She seems like a lovely young lady to me. In fact, she looks a bit like a girl I used to know by the name of Monica. Did I ever tell you about the time that Monica and I-

Sweeney: Ummm… sir… this is a family show. Save the salacious details for the Oval Office.

Clinton grins.

Sweeney: ROH: New York definitely rocked the wrestling world this week! The tag team champions, KENNY OMEGA & CHRIS SABIN, delivered TWO successful title defenses on back-to-back shows. Those guys are on the top of the heap in the tag team world. Kudos also to BJ WHITMER for a pair of defenses of the Television Title. MICHAEL ELGIN- not so much! Big Mike is still the ROH: NY Heavyweight Champion, but he lost a non-title match to AUSTIN ARIES this week. In my mind, A-Double has earned himself a title shot, don't you think?

Clinton: I would have to agree-

Sweeney: Of course you agree with me, boss. You're a smart guy. I also wanted to mention Style Battle 8 that went down this week. MARTIN STONE was the big winner, and he moves into the final round of the first season of Style Battle. Great stuff, don’t you think, sir?

Clinton: I really enjoy-

Sweeney: And did you see on Style Battle where LANCELOT BRAVADO took down MATT RIDDLE! Most people said that was an upset- but if you ask me, Riddle may be the most over-rated guy on the circuit. How many shots did he have to win a Style Battle? Never happened. Kudos to Lancelot for exposing Riddle as a paper tiger.

Sweeney: Beyond Wrestling has been stellar this summer! Congratulations to "THE PRODUCT" DAVID STARR, who is now the number one man in the standings after he picked up a big win over JT DUNN. Also, congrats to ANGEL ORTIZ & MIKE DRAZTIK! The team known as EYFBO became the first team in Beyond Wrestling to defeat DA HIT SQUAD. It was a long unbeaten run for Da Squad, but give it up to the young fellas for steeping up their game!

Clinton: You know, I have never seen that team-

Sweeney: I don't remember asking your opinion. Is it necessary for you to keep interrupting? I am on a roll here! The thing about-

Without warning, Sweeney's rant is interrupted when the tune, "Pour Some Sugar On Me" by Def Leppard plays overhead. The fans erupt with cheers as CHRISTY HEMME enters the set. Christy quickly acknowledges the cheering of the crowd, but she is all business as she strides across the set. Christy nails Sweeney across the side of the head with an open-handed slap! Sweeney hollers and ducks for cover, but Christy continues to swing on Sweeney, battering him with slaps.

Christy: How dare you (SMACK) disrespect (SMACK) the President! (SMACK SMACK SMACK).
Let (SMACK) him (SMACK) talk! (SMACK SMACK SMACK).

Sweeney covers up and flees the set, with Christy following close behind and peppering him with furious smacks as the crowd roars its approval. Kimber giggles, then sidles up alongside President Clinton as he stands at the podium. Clinton shuffles through Sweeney's notes and breaks into a grin.

Clinton: Look like I get to talk about the CCW Supergirls! I do love girl rasslers and I do love tag team action.

Clinton grins with a twinkle in his eye. Kimber gives him a giggle and an elbow to the ribs.

Clinton: The CCW Supergirls did put on an impressive tournament this week. Congratulations to the team of ANGELUS LAYNE & VANESSA KRAVEN for winning the tournament to become the inaugural Supergirls Tag Team Champions!

(Cheers)

Clinton: You know, that was a big win in the finals against TRISH STRATUS & MALIA HOSAKA. I have to admit, I was rooting for Trish and Malia in that match. There's just something special that happens when you put together a blonde girl and an Asian girl-

Without warning, Clinton's comments are interrupted by the arrival of HILLARY CLINTON on the set.

Hillary: William Jefferson Clinton! You insufferable pervert! Wasn't it enough that I burned your den of ill repute to the ground? And now I find you out here making suggestive comments in public about these empowered female role models! Get your slithery self off of this stage RIGHT NOW!

Hillary storms to the podium, grabs President Clinton by the ear, and hauls him off of the set. After an awkward moment of dead air, the scene returns to ringside.



Warlord: Gee, willakers! That was crazy!

Daytondave: Without a doubt, one of the most memorable segments of "Sweet Talk" we have ever seen! All right, fans- we've had a lot of fun tonight, not let's see some serious wrestling action. Our first title match of the night!



CAMPEONATOS DE PAREJAS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
THE COLONY (GREEN ANT & FIRE ANT) (c) defeated TEAM F.I.S.T. (ICARUS*** & GRAN AKUMA*****)
It was a rough battle, but the Ants were stellar tonight in defending their tag team titles. Icarus and Akuma punished both Ants, but the quickness of the Ants kept them out of trouble and the champions maintained control. Fire Ant trapped Akuma in the Beach Break, and it was nearly over for Team F.I.S.T. until Icarus made the save. But Icarus fared no better, eating a pinpoint dropkick from Green Ant. Icarus soon found himself the victim of the Fire Ant Beach Break for the finish.


THE COLONY RETAIN THE CAMPEONATOS DE PAREJAS


Daytondave: That was impressive! Great teamwork and great all-around skill by the Campeonatos.

Warlord: They took down a double-tough duo and they made it look easy.

Daytondave: Congratulations to the Colony for an outstanding victory. Fans- we certainly hear plenty of bluster from LARRY SWEENEY, but tonight he has promised- actually, JESSIE MCKAY has promised to end the career of CHEERLEADER MELISSA. Under normal circumstances, Melissa would be a heavy favorite in this matchup, but these are definitely NOT normal circumstances.



GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION
CHEERLEADER MELISSA* pinned JESSIE MCKAY*
Melissa was on her guard as Jessie came to ringside with LARRY SWEENEY. CRUEFAN and JOEBREAKDOWN kept a close watch on Sweeney, and the match started off cleanly. Jessie fought well, executing a couple of impressive reversals and catching Melissa with the School Girl Crush for a near fall! Melissa rolled out of the ring, where she was confronted by Sweeney, but Cruefan stepped in between and protected the champion.

Warlord: Good job, Cruefan!

Melissa returned to the ring and regained the momentum. A thunderous Samoan Drop from Melissa sent Jessie to the mat, and before Sweeney could react, Melissa delivered a vicious Curb Stomp and covered Jessie for the three count!

Daytondave: That was an impressive win for Melissa! She got in there and took care of business!

After the decision, Melissa tried to leave the ring and make her exit, but her path was blocked by Larry Sweeney. Cruefan charged after Sweeney and tackled him to the concrete!

Warlord: It's on, baby! Look at the Cruefan taking care of business!

With a clear path to the exit, Melissa headed out, but Joebreakdown slipped behind Melissa and smacked her across the knee with a tire iron! The fans gasped in shock as Melissa went down! Cruefan remained tangled up with Sweeney, giving Joebreakdown the opportunity to deliver a tire iron shot to the back of Cruefan! Cruefan collapsed to the floor, doubled up in pain and holding his right rib cage! Sweeney sprang to his feet, laughing hysterically as Melissa and Cruefan both writhed in pain on the floor. Jessie rolled out of the ring, went immediately to Joebreakdown, and gave him a deep, passionate kiss!

Warlord: Son of a Baptist Preacher! What just happened?

The laughter of Sweeney echoed through the arena as the fans fell silent. Sweeney broke into his trademark strut, ignoring the barrage of trash being hurled in his direction as he left the ring with Jessie and Joebreakdown.

Daytondave: Unreal! I am disgusted that Sweeney and Jessie would find a way to get the best of Melissa tonight. The man will do ANYTHING, even if it means turning friend against friend. There is no level to which Larry Sweeney will not sink. All right, fans- it looks like both Cruefan and Melissa are being helped away from the ring area- and as they are being helped to the back, we'll set the stage for tonight's Main Event. The King Of The Indies is here to defend his crown!



MAIN EVENT: KING OF THE INDIES CHAMPIONSHIP
ADAM COLE (c) pinned RICOCHET
Ricochet came to win, and came out swinging! His high flying offense overwhelmed Cole, connecting with a 450 Corkscrew Splash, a Shooting Star Press and 2 Chocolate Rains, quickly putting 4(!) tokens on the champ. Ricochet followed up with a double rotation moonsault and went for a cover, only to have the ref distracted by Cole's Bullet Club cronies, the Young Bucks! The ref tossed them both from the ringside area, banning them from the rest of the match! Ricochet then gave Cole the Rickrack and went for the coup de grace, the 630 Senton! Unfortunately for Ricochet, he crashed and burned and that was all the opening Cole needed. Cole delivered a vicious superkick to the back of Ricochet's head, a superkick to his face, and followed up with his Panama Sunrise finisher for the 1-2-3!


ADAM COLE RETAINS THE KING OF THE INDIES CHAMPIONSHIP


Daytondave: How about that! Who can beat Adam Cole? Congratulations, Bay Bay! Once again, Cole has proven himself to be the man. Ricochet brought all of his explosive offense, and Cole took the challenger's best shots. We could have done without the Young Punks, but Cole came through when the chips were down and he remains the King Of The Indies. All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out for the past 800 shows! It's been a great celebration tonight, but the beat rolls on. Be sure to tune in one week from tonight for the pay-per-view broadcast of Heartland Havoc LXXXII: Line In The Sand! THE KILLER DEATH MACHINES vs. THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE

It was an intense battle for all four women involved, but the power of Jessicka Havok ruled the day. Nevaeh battled both ladies for several minutes until Jessicka tagged in and cleaned house. Jessicka pitched Velvet out of the ring and obliterated her with a lariat. When Madison came to the rescue, Jessicka blasted her with a Triple Kick Combo and pinned her.


WINNERS: THE KILLER DEATH MACHINES

Warlord: Jessicka is a BEAST.

Daytondave is interrupted by the appearance of GIANT BERNARD at the top of the ramp, clipboard in hand.

Bernard: It's time! It's time! It's finally time!

Daytondave: Yes sir, Bernard- it's time for the-

Bernard: It's time for the Generic Secondary Championship! It's my dream come true!

Daytondave: Love the enthusiasm! It has been a fun series so far, and tonight it all comes down to this! The crowning of the first-ever Generic Secondary Champion!



Generic Secondary Championship: Triple Threat Match
CROSSBONES vs. ETHAN PAGE vs. MARK ANGELOSETTI

The Generic Secondary Championship brought out the best in all three men! Angelosetti got off to a rough start, as he took punishment from both opponents, until Angelosetti captured Crossbones and Page and brought them together with a double noggin knocker! With both men down, Angelosetti went to work on Crossbones, weakening the big man with a series of submission holds. Page came back with a running boot to the head of Angelosetti, sending Mark tumbling out of the ring. Crossbones also rolled out of the ring, and Page followed, leading to a fierce scrum on the arena floor!

Bernard: Look at these guys go!

Warlord: This is awesome, Bernie! The Generic Secondary Championship is the greatest thing ever!

On the arena floor, Page unleashed a superkick on Angelosetti that sent Mr. Touchdown tunbling over the security railing! Page rolled Crossbones back into the ring, and Page let loose with a BOOM! Head Shot that sent Crossbones reeling! Crossbones staggered into the turnbuckle, and as he rebounded back to the center of the ring, Page connected with a second BOOM! Head Shot that put Crossbones' lights out. Angelosetti struggled over the security rail, but before Mark could get back to the ring, Page made the cover and picked up the three count.


ETHAN PAGE WINS THE GENERIC SECONDARY CHAMPIONSHIP


Warlord: Your winner... and the NEW Generic Secondary Champioooooooooooooonnn.....

Bernard: All Ego... Eeeeeeeeeeethan Paaaaaaaaaaaaaage!

Bernard climbs into the ring with the Generic Secondary Championship belt and presents it to Page. Tears are streaming down the face of the new champion as he holds the belt overhead. Warlord and Bernard hoist the champion onto their shoulders, as the fans rise to their feet with applause and streamers fall from the rafters.


Daytondave: Wow. That was dramatic. But I give Page all the credit- he had to win a gauntlet match to get here, and he had to overcome a couple of double-tough opponents to emerge victorious here tonight. Congratulations to Ethan Page for becoming the first-ever Generic Secondary Champion!



Heartland Ladies' Championship
CHEERLEADER MELISSA (C) vs. TRISH STRATUS


Tensions ran high as JIMMY HART led the challenger to the ring, under the watchful eye of referee BIG JIM THE ENFORCER. The introductions were interrupted when LARRY SWEENEY strutted down the aisle, accompanied by KIMBER LEE, JESSIE MCKAY, & JOEBREAKDOWN. Sweeney's crew took seats in the front row at ringside, drawing steely glares from Melissa, Hart, and Big Jim.

Daytondave: I already don't like the looks of this situation.

As Big Jim inspected the competitors, he paid special attention to a heavy wrap on the left knee of Melissa. Sweeney began jawing with Hart, while Jessie and JoeBreakdown took the opportunity to start kissing and pawing at each other wildly.

Warlord: There has been some history between Hart and Sweeney- this could get messy.

Daytondave: No doubt. It's already getting messy for Joe and Jessie.

Warlord: Very poetic, Daytondave. I see what you did there. I don't know what she sees in that guy. Maybe we ought to call him JOEMAKEOUT.


Once the match started, the competition was intense. Trish and Melissa punished each other with stiff chops and forearms, leaving both ladies gasping but determined to prevail. Melissa took Trish to the canvas with a Samoan Drop, followed by a series of driving elbow smashes on the mat. With Jimmy Hart screaming his encouragement at ringside, Trish rallied, dodging a clothesline and nailing Melissa with a bicycle kick. Trish moved in to follow up, but Melissa grabbed Trish and tossed her out of the ring.

Daytondave: What a battle! These two are going to break each other in half!

The battle continued on the arena floor, where Melissa began to prevail. Big Jim tried to corral the action back into the ring without success. Trish managed to reverse an Irish Whip, sending Melissa crashing to the security railing. Trish came after Melissa against the rail, but Big Jim stepped between and directed Trish back to the ring. When Trish lunged after Melissa, Big Jim caught her around the waist and hauled her back to the ring. As Big Jim rolled Trish back into the ring, Hart grabbed his megaphone and cracked Big Jim across the back! Big Jim was unfazed by the blow, and turned around to stare down Hart. Hart tried to beg off, and when Big Jim pulled back a fist, Jimmy turned tail and beat a hasty retreat up the ring ramp. Big Jim called for the bell, and awarded the match to Melissa by disqualification.


WINNER (via disqualification): CHEERLEADER MELISSA
CHEERLEADER MELISSA RETAINS THE HEARTLAND LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP

Hart protested the decision vigorously, joined by VANESSA KRAVEN & MELANIE CRUISE. But Big Jim stood his ground, and Trish angrily joined Hart in storming back to the dressing area.

Warlord: Good job, big man! Don't take any crap from that little runt!

As the Hart contingent departed, Melissa remained slumped against the security railing on the arena floor. Without warning, Melissa was attacked by KIMBER LEE & JESSIE MCKAY! Kimber and Jessie put the boots to Melissa, as JOEBREAKDOWN and LARRY SWEENEY cheered them on. As Melissa slumped to the floor, Joebreakdown stepped in and began to remove the protective wrap from Melissa's injured knee.

Daytondave: What the hell is going on out there?

It looked bad for Melissa until CRUEFAN & KING KONG BUNDY stormed to ringside! Bundy shoved aside Sweeney and grabbed Joebreakdown in a reverse bearhug. Cruefan picked up a steel chair and stepped in from of Melissa, defending her from further attacks. Bundy put the squeeze on Joebreakdown as Joebreakdown kicked helplessly and Jessie begged for mercy. Once Cruefan had helped Melissa to safety, Bundy dropped Joebreakdown, and Bundy grinned broadly as Melissa retrieved her title belt and left the ring area.


Warlord: Cruefan saves the day!

Daytondave: That was a close call for Melissa, both in terms of keeping her title and nearly getting her injured knee beaten by Sweeney's girls. Congratulations to Melissa for a hard-fought victory. Just for once, I would love to see Melissa and Trish compete on an even playing field to see who comes out on top. All right, fans- as ugly as that situation was- things are going from bad to worse in our next grudge match- and it's Falls Count Anywhere!



Falls Count Anywhere!
TIM DONST vs. MIKE QUACKENBUSH

As expected, the showdown between Donst and Quackenbush was all-out warfare. Quackenbush controlled the first several minutes of action in the ring. Donst battled back and took the action out of the ring, and everything broke loose! Donst hurled Quackenbush away from the ring, then picked up Quackenbush and suplexed him through the merchandise table! Quack was down, and Donst picked up a souvenir championship belt and waffled Quackenbush across the back! Quackenbush crawled away, managing to grab a chair and drive it into the abdomen of Donst. Both men went down, but Donst was first to his feet. Donst dragged Quackenbush to the hallway, then slammed Quackenbush into the bathroom door! Quackenbush collapsed to his hands and knees, with a gash opened on his forehead!

Warlord: And Mike Quackenbush has donned the proverbial crimson mask!

At the sight of blood, Donst broke into a grin, moving in confidently and preparing to slam Quackenbush's head into the side of a sink. But Quack's instincts kicked in, and Quack took down Donst with a leg dive and quickly turned Donst into the Chikara Special! Quackenbush cranked on the hold, trapping Donst against the cold tile floor. Donst screamed out in agony, to the delight of the crowd of fans who gathered to watch the action.

Warlord: There's a woman in the men's room! There's a woman in the men's room!

Donst appeared to be on the verge of tapping out, when a crash was heard from a nearby stall. Out from the stall emerged HANSEN! Hansen grabbed Quackenbush, picked him up overhead, and powerbombed Quackenbush onto a sink! Quackenbush landed hard and fell to the ground motionless. The fans gasped at the impact, and Donst crawled on top of Quackenbush for the three count.


WINNER: TIM DONST


After the pin, Quackenbush lay on the floor groaning. Donst staggered to his feet, still favoring his back, but grinning broadly. Donst grabbed Quackenbush by the back of the neck and dragged Quack into a stall! Donst shoved Quack's head into the commode and gave repeated flushes as Hansen held off the referee. Donst finally grew tired of the sport and walked away, grinning at the jeering fans.


Daytondave: What an awful night for Mike Quackenbush.

Warlord: Swirlies? What is this, Junior High School?

Daytondave: Adding insult to injury. Mike Quackenbush is still down in the men's room, and he is going to need the assistance of the trainers. That was a brutal match and a humiliating ending for a proud man- but after all the bitterness between Quackenbush and Donst, I can't say that I am surprised. But fans- we still have great action ahead- so let's head back to the ring for a championship battle between two intense rivals!



CHIKARA Grand Championship: 2 out of 3 Falls
DELIRIOUS (C) vs. RICOCHET

First Fall: Delirious came after the challenger with his uncontrollable opening flurry, but Ricochet quickly countered and the battle was on. Action went back and forth until Delirious stunned Ricochet with a head butt, then dropped Ricochet with a Bizzaro Driver for the pin.

Warlord: Right between the eyes! How could Ricochet not have seen that coming?

Second Fall: Looking to seal the deal, Delirious came after Ricochet aggressively, but Ricochet dodged a charge in the corner, flipped over the turnbuckle, and drilled Delirious with a knee to the head! Delirious was staggered, and Ricochet wasted no time in launching a springboard corkscrew plancha for a flash pin!

Warlord: Look at Flippy Dippy Fly!

Daytondave: He nailed that out of nowhere- and we're all tied up! One fall to decide the Grand Championship!

Third Fall: After being pinned by Ricochet in the second fall, Delirious took a different strategy and attempted to slow Ricochet down. Delirious took Ricochet to the mat and locked in the Cobra Stretch! Ricochet was trapped, and nearly forced to tap out before finally reaching the bottom rope. Delirious was relentless, punishing the lower back of Ricochet and keeping him grounded. Ricochet battled gamely, but Delirious trapped his challenger in the corner and pelted him with lariat after lariat. Ricochet was stunned, and Delirious dashed across the ring and nailed Ricochet with the Panic Attack to score the decisive fall.


WINNER: DELIRIOUS
DELIRIOUS RETAINS THE CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP


Daytondave: Congratulations to Delirious on another successful title defense!

Warlord: This guy is amazing! He always finds a way to win.

Daytondave: Behind the mask... under the insanity... lives the mind of a wrestling genius. He knew exactly what to expect from Ricochet, and he took Ricochet out of his element in that final fall. We never did see the explosiveness that Ricochet can bring- and that is proof positive that Delirious is the master of his craft. All right, fans- after that impressive showing, we take you now to our Main Event of the evening!



Main Event: King Of The Indies Tag Team Championship
KENNY OMEGA & CHRIS SABIN (C) vs. THE COLONY

The long-anticipated return match between Omega and Sabin and the Ants lived up to the hype. Omega opened up for the champs, and he dismantled Green Ant. Omega hit the V-Trigger twice on Green Ant, who barely kicked out. Despite the damage, Green Ant held his own against Sabin, and finally managed to tag out. Fire Ant came in blazing and smoked Sabin with a flying kick, then obliterated Sabin with a suicide dive. Fire Ant battled Omega on even footing for several minutes, as both men took plenty of damage. The Ants managed a double-team flapjack on Omega for a near-fall. Omega roared back, and it was Fire Ant who paid the price when Omega hammered him with the Kotaro Krusher. Green Ant was able to make the pin save, but Omega kept control and finished Fire Ant with the One Winged Angel.


WINNERS: KENNY OMEGA & CHRIS SABIN
OMEGA & SABIN RETAIN THE KING OF THE INDIES TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Line in the Sand was a great show especially the main event with Kenny Omega & Chris Sabin retaining the King of the Indies belts against The Colony. Equally as impressive was Delirious beating Ricochet in the three fall battle to retain the CHIKARA Grand championship. The masked man seems to have a solid grip on that title belt. Tim Donst over Mike Quackenbush in the Falls Count Anywhere match was insane and what a finish. Congrats to Ethan Page on becoming the inaugural GSC title holder. Love the idea behind that belt. Congrats also to the Killer Death Machines on earning top contender status.

As for Cheerleader Melissa vs. Trish Stratus, what a mess. I was happy that Melissa retained but the outside interference was out of control, so out of control that even yours truly had to get involved. May I suggest a cage match between Melissa and Stratus? Oh yeah, Joe I only have two words for ya' - Sloppy Seconds That's all for this Aftershow and I will end it with a truly underrated song from Motley Crue - Dancing On Glass...
