The show opens with the tune, "O Fortuna" presented by the Butler University orchestra. DAYTONDAVE & WARLORD stride down the ring ramp, waving to the cheering fans. Warlord can barely restrain himself as he passes by the orchestra stand, but Daytondave ushers Warlord to the ring instead.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to CHIKARA Saturday Night! It's great to be here in Indianapolis with another great night of wrestling action as we gear up for the Tournament of Champions 2017! The contenders are lining up for all of the coveted Filsinger Cup championships, and tonight we will see another qualifying match- this time in the CHIKARA Trios Division! Plus, in our Main Event, JOCK SAMSON will battle ARIK CANNON in a Number One Contender's Match for the CHIKARA Grand Championship. We've got a packed night of action, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!


SCARLET & GRAVES (ZACHARY WENTZ & DEZMOND XAVIER) defeated TEAM F.I.S.T. (ICARUS* & GRAN AKUMA)
The veteran duo of Icarus and Akuma may have underestimated the Ohio upstarts in the opening match. Akuma had control of Wentz for several minutes, but when Icarus hit the ring, the rookies took advantage. Xavier hit the ring for a blitzkrieg Hot Fire Flame on Icarus, and Wentz covered him for the three count!


Daytondave: How about that? The first match of the night brings the first upset, as the former Campeonatos taste defeat!

Warlord: Way to go, young fellas!



MADISON EAGLES pinned HEIDI LOVELACE*****
It was total obliteration by the big Aussie tonight. Heidi had no answer for Madison's powerful strikes, and it was over for Heidi after a series of Roundhouse Kicks.


Warlord: Holy moley, that big chick sure can kick!

Daytondave: He's a poet, and he didn't know it. His feet they show it- they're long fellows.



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
THE ADDICTION (3-4) vs. HALLOWICKED & FIGHTMARE (4-3)
Kazarian and Daniels were devious and brutal tonight from start to finish. Kazarian eliminated Hallowicked with the Flux Capacitor, then Kazarian and Daniels took turns abusing Frightmare. The Addiction finally grew bored with the spectacle, and Daniels dumped Frightmare with the Angel's Wings for the win.


WINNERS: THE ADDICTION


Daytondave: Daniels and Kazarian looked great tonight. These guys are determined to finish strong. As for the CHIKARA Division, one more victory for the BRAVADO BROTHERS is all they need to sew things up.



GREG EXCELLENT* pinned RODERICK STRONG*****
It was an intense, back-and-forth battle with a top 8 spot on the line. Excellent brawled his way to an early advantage and dropped Strong with a Rick Roll. Excellent pitched Roderick out of the ring, where the beating continued until Strong was nearly spent. When the action returned to the ring, Strong rallied, but was unable to force a submission with the LeBell Lock. Excellent reached the ropes, and after the hold was broken, Excellent again took control and dropped Strong with the Tiger Driver for the victory.


Warlord: Chicken and waffles for everyone!

Daytondave: Hard to resist! Excellent keeps his name in the mix for title consideration with that win. Fans- it's time now to turn things over to LARRY SWEENEY for this week's edition of "Sweet Talk"!

The scene shifts to the set of "Sweet Talk", where the mood is jovial. KIMBER LEE is prancing around the set, waving and grinning broadly, as LARRY SWEENEY & JESSIE MCKAY stand by, grinning and applauding. The fans boo, prompting Kimber to scowl. Kimber Lee emits and angry shriek, causing spectators in the first several rows to begin bleeding from the ears. The smile never leaves the face of Larry Sweeney as he moves to the podium.


Sweeney: Hey hey hey! Give it up for Kimber Lee, baby! She's a Finalist for the Filsinger Cup Ladies' Championship! She gave MERCEDES MARTINEZ a serious beating this week. CHEERLEADER MELISSA and TRISH STRATUS have their own issues, and when they are done destroying each other, it will be easy pickings for Kimber to bring home the Cup!

Sweeney: You people have no idea what a privilege it is for you to be graced with the likes of Miss Kimber. All the other territories in the KOTI Universe would love to have talent like this! But, speaking of the rest of the KOTI crew, let's go through this week's update. The biggest event of the week was the Season One Finale of Style Battle! Congratulations to MICHAEL ELGIN, who won the season championship with a huge victory over BOBBY FISH! Elgin has earned himself another opportunity for a shot at the King Of The Indies Championship! Elgin has signed to come to Tournament of Champions 2017 to challenge for the title. ADAM COLE remains the champ, and if Cole survives a challenge from ETHAN PAGE, it will be Cole vs. Elgin one more time for the KOTI Championship!

Sweeney: Lots of other successful title defenses around the indies this week. Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment put on another great weekend of action. Props to CEDRIC ALEXANDER for a successful title defense against AR FOX! But that wasn't all that Alexander accomplished this week- he called out JT DUNN and beat Dunn in a non-title match. Dunn has one last shot to beat Alexander, or Dunn will say goodbye to Atlanra! This guy Cedric has some serious cajones!

Sweeney: Also down in Atlanta, congrats to the tag team titans of JIMMY RAVE & DONOVAN DIJACK for another title victory, and give it up to KELLY KLEIN for an exciting championship victory for the Ladies' Title! Kelly had a busy weekend, travelling to Women of Honor for a title shot against SARAYA KNIGHT, but Saraya came out victorious in that match to hold onto her title. Kudos to both these ladies for an awesome week of competition!

Sweeney: Finally, I need to call out three more independent champions who held on to their titles this week. Put your hands together for Vegas Heavyweight Champion ELI DRAKE, Ultimate Kombat Best Of The Best Champion AR FOX, and Ring Of Honor New York Champion: MICHAEL ELGIN! And last, but not least, Beyond Wrestling continues to bring the action. DAVID STARR has taken over the top spot in the singles ranks, and DA HIT SQUAD are the top dogs in the Tag Team ranks. Congrats to all these top dudes and dudettes around the land of the indies!

Fans, one week ago we saw a disturbing scene when JESSICKA HAVOK was manhandled by RAYMOND ROWE after a Ladies' Tag Team Championship match. Tonight, Jessicka will attempt to score a measure of revenge against the Xavier Alliance in this No Disqualification Grudge Match.



GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION
JESSICKA HAVOK** pinned NICOLE MATTHEWS*** (w/TROY XAVIER)
Jessicka was looking for blood in this match, but Nicole held her at bay with kicks and elbows for the first few minutes, Jessicka finally broke loose after pelting Nicole with a triple kick combo! When Troy climbed to the ring apron, Jessicka dispatched him with a big boot! Nicole was on her own, and she didn't last long as Jessicka finished her off with the Havokiller.


Daytondave: A measure of sweet revenge for Jessicka tonight.

Warlord: And she even got in a shot on Troy Xavier!

Daytondave: Was that really necessary? Troy was just trying to help out the referee. He's a helpful kind of guy.

Warlord: Really? There are hundreds of people out there who would pay money to get a shot at Troy.

Daytondave: He better get his wits together- because his trio has the chance to qualify for a shot at the Filsinger Cup!



FILSINGER CUP QUALIFYING MATCH: TRIOS
THE BATIRI (KOBALD**, OBARIYON***, & KODAMA***) defeated TIM DONST***, RAYMOND ROWE** & HANSON** (w/TROY XAVIER)
The trios qualifier was a full throttle war! The big dudes took control early, overpowering the Batiri. Kodama took a ton of punishment, and nearly was pinned after being flattened by a double-team War Machine! But the crafty Batiri tagged in and out frequently, and slipped out of the ring frequently to escape trouble situations. The Batiri could not generate much offense, but as the match wore on, the big War Machine team was gassed. Obariyon entered the match against Hanson, and Obariyon cleverly dodged and weaved from the big man, scoring with knee strikes. Kobald came in to assist, and the two Batiri hoisted Hanson with a massive suplex! Hanson hit hard, and the Batiri duo pummeled Hanson with a vicious flurry of kicks until Hansen was forced to roll out of the ring. Rowe entered the ring in pursuit of Obariyon, but Kodama went to the top rope and delivered a Flying Blockbuster on Rowe for a surprise pin!

Warlord: Are you kidding me? How'd those little dudes pull that off?

War Machine responded angrily, coming after the Batiri, but the Batiri scurried away to safety. Rowe picked up a chair at ringside and slammed it into the ringpost! Hanson angrily grabbed the referee, and Rowe prepared to strike down the official! Without warning, the arena lights went out. A single spotlight shined on the top of the ring ramp, revealing the silhouetted figure of a man with his arms raised over his head. The Hinkletron flashed on to reveal a sign:

After several moments of eerie silence, the arena went dark, then the lights slowly came up. Xavier and his men were stunned as they walked silently back to the dressing room.

Warlord: The Unmanglers are coming! The Unmanglers are coming!

Daytondave: Yes indeed- but who are the Unmanglers?

Warlord: They're coming to Unmangle CHIKARA!

Daytondave: They are definitely skilled at the mental aspects of intimidation. They have shown themselves twice now, and each time they have left the Xavier Alliance perplexed and befuddled. It's been a rough night for the Alliance, with two defeats and now another appearance from these mysterious interlopers has Troy and his team completely out of sorts. But- congratulations to The Batiri- they fought a tremendous match tonight and they have earned a trip to Cleveland to battle for the Filsinger Cup! All right, fans- we're down to the last match of the night- the Main Event!



MAIN EVENT: CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDER'S MATCH
JOCK SAMSON*** pinned ARIK CANNON****
It was an old-style throwdown between two brawlers with nothing to lose. Jock and Arik slugged it out in the ring and on the floor. It turned into a contest to see who could hit hardest, and it appeared both men were having the time of their lives! Cannon dumped a beer on Samson, and Jock blasted Cannon with a right hand that knocked Cannon over the railing and into the crowd. After tumbling through several rows of chairs, Cannon staggered to his feet and managed to return to the ring ahead of the ten-count. But Samson had the drop on Cannon, and nailed Arik with another fist right between the eyes. Arik was seeing stars, and Samson picked him up and planted him with a piledriver for the three count.


Daytondave: What a brawl! I never thought I would hear myself say this, but Jock Samson is now the Number One Contender for the CHIKARA Grand Championship! Congratulations to the man from Appalachia on a big win tonight! All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! Another great night of Heartland action and after all of the success he has had thus far it is good to see Jock Samson earn the title shot against Delirious for the CHIKARA Grand Championship. Hopefully that win over Arik Cannon can give Samson the momentum to score some gold. The Batiri over Tim Donst & War Machine was an upset in my book and now Donst, Hanson and Rowe have to regroup if they are going to retain those trios titles against Ospreay, Shynron and Gresham.

Biggest upset of the night, and maybe all-time in the Heartland, was Greg Excellent over Roderick Strong. I'm still trying to process that one. Jessicka Havok and Madison Eagles both looked strong in their wins and it was cool to see The Addiction pick up a Tag League win over Hallowicked & Frightmare. The less said about Larry Sweeney the better and so I will end this edition of The Aftershow with a great song from The Doors - Changeling...

The show opens with the tune, "O Fortuna" presented by the Purdue University Orchestra. DAYTONDAVE & WARLORD stride down the ring ramp, smiling and waving to the fans. As the announcers pass by the orchestra pit, Warlord hops into the pit and picks up a pair of cymbals! Warlord begins to clang the cymbals in time with the music, but his sense of rhythm is lacking. The orchestral struggles through the piece, but the smile never leaves the face of the Warlord as he pounds the cymbals with enthusiasm. The piece ends, and the conductor shakes his head in dismay as Warlord joins Daytondave at ringside.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to CHIKARA Saturday night! "O Fortuna" may never be the same after tonight's rendition- but it's a glorious anthem that represents the glory of the upcoming Tournament of Champions 2017!

Warlord: What did you think, Daytondave? Do I have a future in the music business?

Daytondave: Quite possibly- right after they hire TROY XAVIER as a Speedo model. But fans- right here this evening, two more pieces of the Tournament of Champions puzzle will fall into place as the Filsinger Cup contenders continue to battle for supremacy. And, in the Main Event, the CHIKARA Trios Championship will be on the line when TIM DONST & WAR MACHINE defend the titles against the high-flying team of WILL OSPREAY, SHYNRON, & JONATHAN GRESHAM! The excitement is going to go down all night long, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!


ANGELUS LAYNE*** pinned CANDICE LERAE*****
The opening ladies' match was competitive, but the power of Angelus wore down Candice as the battle wore on. After several battles on the arena floor, Angelus was the stronger wrestler and managed to put away Candice with the Victory Lane.


Daytondave: A well-fought battle by both ladies. They got after it tonight!



N-R-G (RACE JAXON* & HYPE ROCKWELL) defeated DEVASTATION CORPORATION (MAX SMASHMASTER*** & BLASTER MCMASSIVE)
Teamwork was the deciding factor in this bout, as the N-R-G guys were in and out of the ring faster than the big men could keep up. Smashmaster found himself trapped in the N-R-G corner after a double flapjack, and Blaster came to his defense. But Hype caught Blaster coming in, and used the big man's momentum to send Blaster crashing into the corner ring post. With McMassive incapacitated, Rockwell joined Jaxon for a combination Hyperwheel/Superkick on Smashmaster to enable Jaxon to score the pin!


Warlord: Look at those little dudes go! They're so fast you can hardly tell which one is which!

Daytondave: Right. But congrats to Rockwell and Jaxon- looks like they are ready to make another run at the Campeonatos, but they still have a ways to go to get the three points they need to qualify. Next up- another Qualifying Match for the Filsinger Cup!



FILSINGER CUP QUALIFYING MATCH: LADIES' TAG TEAM
THE QUEENS OF WINNING (SARA DEL REY & COURTNEY RUSH) defeated THE DOLL HOUSE (MIA YIM & MARTI BELLE*******)
Sara and Courtney returned to the Heartland in peak form! Marti Belle took a brutal beating from both the Queens. Courtney tossed Marti around with suplex after suplex, then Sara brought the power and slammed Marti to the mat with a Royal Butterfly. Mia tried to save Marti, but Sara obliterated Mia with a running boot. Marti was helpless and alone as Sara clamped on the Cross Armbreaker to force the submission.


Daytondave: How about that! The Queens look like they haven't lost a step. It will be Sara and Courtney taking on THE CANADIAN NINJAS at Tournament of Champions 2017 for the Filsinger Cup!



2017 INDEPENDENT TAG TEAM LEAGUE
CATCH POINT (0-7) vs. THE TRIBE (6-1)
Lightning strikes in West Lafayette! The Catch Point duo of Williams and Yehi struggled through most of the match, as Williams fell prey to the Broken Arrow early in the match and Yehi battled both members of the Tribe. Hawaiian Lion nearly finished Yehi with an Ankle Lock, but the referee was caught in a collision as Williams tried to save his partner and the match continued. Warrior hit the ring, but Yehi stunned the Warrior with a dropkick. The referee came to his senses as Williams dropped Warrior with a Piledriver and covered Warrior for the three count!


WINNERS: CATCH POINT


Warlord: Catch Point wins! Seek shelter!

Daytondave: Seek shelter?

Warlord: It's a sign of the apocalypse!

Daytondave: Will you stop? Williams and Yehi are a couple of hard-working professionals. Their losing streak just goes to show that the level of competition in the Tag Team League is second to none. Congratulations to Catch Point for giving their best effort even in the face of frustration. All right, fans- it's time for "Sweet Talk"!

Sweeney: How you doin', people? Not like I care- HAHAHAHA! It's good to be me, and it's good to be a part of Sweet 'N Kimber, Incorporated. A bit of a sad week here on Sweet Talk, after the passing of a cultural icon in HUGH HEFNER. So tonight, our buddy JOEBOYTOY is on hand to lead us in a moment of silence for a great man.

Joebreakdown stands solemnly and bows his head, along with the others on stage. As he is reflecting, Jessie walks over and runs her hands over his chest and shoulders. Sweeney reaches back and swats Jessie on the back of the head.

Sweeney: Thanks for the memories, Hef! Jessie and Joemakeout- that's enough out of you. Don't make me send you to your room. Now, let's get in to the indy scene. This week in Evolve, new champions were crowned! Congratulations to RAPPONGI VICE- the team of BARETTA & ROCKY ROMERO- are the new Evolve Tag Team Champions! The Vice Squad took down THE BRAVADO BROTHERS to capture the belts, so good job, fellas! Also, congrats to TRACY WILLIAMS for a successful defense of the Evolve Heavyweight Championship with a win over RICOCHET!

Sweeney: We had one other title change this week in Ultimate Kombat Wrestling. The UKW Underground Championship changed hands- in a friggin' bathroom- when TRACY SMOTHERS got the jump on DANNY HAVOC to win the belt. That 24/7 rule leads to some crazy action- Smothers was lucky to get out of the building with the belt after having to beat Havoc for a second time on this way out the door! Also in UKW, AR FOX successfully defended the Best Of The Best title, and the UKW Tag Team Champions DA HIT SQUAD kept their belts after a wild double count-out against BLKOUT members RUCKUS & BLK JEEZ. Ultimate Kombat is one wild territory!

Sweeney: Speaking of Da Hit Squad- these guys are on a serious roll. They still OWN the Tag Team Division in Beyond Wrestling and it ain't even close. JONATHAN GRESHAM became the first guy in Beyond to hit the 10-win mark for the year- well done, little man! CHUCK TAYLOR is also having a hot streak in Beyond, so good luck to the Kentucky Gentleman as he claws his way up the ladder.

Sweeney: Vegas Championship Wrestling ran a fine show this week which included four tag team matches! The tag team talent in Vegas is something else, people- and THE TRIBE continues their run as VCW Tag Team Champions. KENNY KING & KEITH LEE, aka NATURAL SWAGGA, took their shot at the champs this week and they came up short. You would think The Tribe were invincible- and then they show up here tonight and lose to CATCH POINT. Who'd a thunk it?

Sweeney: And finally, CCW Supergirls showed out this week with a great card, including a successful title defense for the Supergirls Tag Team Champions, ANGELUS LAYNE & VANESSA KRAVEN. The champs turned aside THE GLOBAL GREEN GANGSTERS to hold on to the belts, and that is no easy task. The other big news from the Supergirls is the nasty feud between SARAYA KNIGHT and NEVAEH. Nevaeh lost to Saraya this week, but Nevaeh's friends from THE BULLET GIRLS showed up to give Saraya a serious beatdown! That is one double-tough lady to be messing with, Nevaeh- so you better watch your back!

Sweeney: All right, you Boilermaker Buffoons, that's all the knowledge you can manage for one night. Daytondave: Thanks, Larry. Hard for me to believe that the pleasure was all "ours" given the grin on his face the whole time he was up there. Anyhow- we have three HUGE matches yet to come- starting with another Grudge Match stemming from the feud between the KILLER DEATH MACHINES and the XAVIER ALLIANCE.



GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION
NEVAEH pinned PORTIA PEREZ* (w/TROY XAVIER)
The Machines made it a clean sweep over the Ninjas in singles competition! Portia came out talking trash, but Nevaeh whipped Portia to the turnbuckle, and dropped Portia on the rebound with the Double Shot! Before Portia could recover, Nevaeh delivered a crushing Backpack Stunner and covered Portia for the pin!

After the decision, JESSICKA HAVOK stormed the ring, and joined Nevaeh in putting the boots to Portia! Troy began slapping the mat and screaming for help, but Jessicka and Nevaeh lifted Portia and slammed her down with a double-team Havokiller! Finally, NICOLE MATTHEWS dashed to the ring, but Jessicka and Nevaeh rolled out of harm's way. The Machines were grinning from ear to ear as Nicole helped Portia off the mat. Portia angrily called for the microphone.

Portia: Really? Double-teaming after the match? Who does THAT? Jessicka Havok, you think you're big and bad, but I will cut you down to size. How about you and me next Saturday night?

Troy tried to take the microphone from Portia, but the challenge was made and Jessicka happily responded with a thumbs up as the Machines disappeared through the curtain.


Daytondave: Wow! Portia got beat tonight- and she just challenged Jessicka Havok!

Warlord: That's gotta be a 50-pound size difference!

Daytondave: I don't think Troy was a bit happy about that. But give the Death Machines credit- they know that Donst & War Machine have a match tonight and they had a clear path to get their shots in on the Ninjas.

Warlord: But next Saturday night- it's on again!

Daytondave: The war continues. And so does the competition for the Filsinger Cup. We have another Qualifying Match coming up next!



FILSINGER CUP QUALIFYING MATCH: MEN'S SINGLES
DELIRIOUS pinned ETHAN PAGE***
The quick-strike offense of Delirious took its toll on another victim tonight. The Grand Champion was all over Page from the opening bell, dominating the contest with his renowned flurry of strikes from every direction. The arena floor provided no respite for Page, as Delirious caught Ethan with a running knee smash which sent Page careening into the steel security rail. Action returned to the ring, where Delirious finished an impressive win with the Bizzaro Driver.


Daytondave: Another impressive win for Delirious. He rolls on to the Tournament of Champions 2017 to wrestle for the Filsinger Cup! EDDIE KINGSTON will be a tough test for Delirious when they lock horns in Cleveland.

Warlord: I don't know how that little guy does it, but he always wins!

Daytondave: 2017 has been a big year for the little man. All right, fans- it's time for the Main Event!



MAIN EVENT: CHIKARA TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIP
TIM DONST, RAYMOND ROWE, & HANSON (c) (w/TROY XAVIER) defeated WILL OSPREAY*, JONATHAN GRESHAM, & SHYNRON***
Lots of aerial action in this Trios title match- but it was mostly the War Machine throwing the challengers around the ring. Ospreay came out with a flying knee on Rowe, but Rowe caught Ospreay in midair and slammed to the mat with a T-Bone suplex! The crowd was in awe as Rowe overpowered Ospreay and tossed him three rows into the crowd. Gresham and Shynron both hit the ring, but Hanson intercepted Gresham with a lariat which flipped Gresham through the air and out to the arena floor! Shynron was the last man standing, and Hanson and Rowe teamed together to lay waste to Shynron with the War Machine for a decisive victory!


TIM DONST AND WAR MACHINE RETAIN THE CHIKARA TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIP

I know where Joebreakdown was going with Cheerleader Melissa and Trish Stratus and I can't say that I disapprove. Joe channeling the late Hugh Hefner was great, that segment was pretty funny. Tim Donst & War Machine had a nice bounce back win after losing to The Batiri. Ospreay, Grisham and Shynron make for a fine team but it was not their night that is for sure. Delirious is one of the most successful performers in Heartland history so I was not shocked to see him qualify for the Filsinger Cup.

Catch Point winning their first Tag League match was a shocker and it came at the expense of the nearly unbeaten Tribe. A nice consolation win for the CP team. Portia Perez challenging Jessicka Havok should be fun, though maybe not for Portia. An overall great night of action and I will conclude this Aftershow with should be Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Judas Priest and their cover of Green Manalishi...

The show opens with the tune, "O Fortuna" presented by the DePauw University Orchestra. DAYTONDAVE & WARLORD march to the center of the ring, waving to the fans as they go. The music concludes and the crowd awaits the introductions.

Daytondave: Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to our midweek special edition of CHIKARA! We're going to open the show on a serious note for just a moment, as the wrestling world says goodbye to two of the all-time greats. Please join me in a moment of silence for BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN and LANCE RUSSELL.

The wrestlers slowly file out of the dressing room and gather on top of the ring ramp. Heads are bowed and a 10-bell salute is sounded.

Warlord: Goodbye, Bobby and Lance.

Daytondave: Farewell, friends. And hello, fans! We miss Bobby and Lance, and tonight we will honor their memories with some exciting wrestling action! The 2017 Tournament of Champions is just 10 days away, and tonight we will see TRISH STRATUS and CHEERLEADER MELISSA battle it out for a shot at the Filsinger Cup Ladies' Championship! But we're going to kick things off with a CHIKARA Contract Match to welcome a new talent. We're going to light up DePauw tonight, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!


CHIKARA CONTRACT MATCH
AUSTIN ARIES defeated KEN DOANE*
With a contract on the line, Aries made quick work of Doane. A flurry of dropkicks and a crisp suplex from Aries put Doane on the mat, and Aries went to the air for a 450 Splash to win it.


Warlord: Mikey!

Daytondave: Sorry, Warlord- that was Kenny. Say goodbye to Kenny, because it is Austin Aries who will be joining the CHIKARA roster.

Warlord: Oh my god! They killed Kenny!

Daytondave: He's not dead. He just didn't earn a contract.

Warlord: You bastards!

Daytondave facepalms.



ROCKY REYNOLDS & BENETT COLE defeated FRIGHTMARE****** & HALLOWICKED
It was the annihilation of Frightmare in this contest, as Rocky got the drop on Frightmare and pummeled him with clotheslines and powerslams. Cole joined the fun and planted Frightmare with a Black Sheep Bomb! Hallowicked stormed the ring to save his partner, and a four-way brawl erupted. Reynolds took out Hallowicked with a flying clothesline, opening the door for Cole to finish off Frightmare with the Fade To Black.


Daytondave: That was a surprisingly one-sided contest. Cole and Reynolds looked great tonight, but that's only their first point in tag team competition, and they have a long road ahead if they intend to compete for the title of Campeonatos de Parejas.



2017 TAG TEAM LEAGUE
TEAM TREMENDOUS (3-4) vs. JOEY RYAN & SCORPIO SKY (4-3)
All four men battled with everything they had in this match. Detective Barry found himself in trouble early, but quick tags with Detective Carr kept the Tremendous team competitive. Team Tremendous took the momentum when they collectively plastered Scorpio with the 10-80. Ryan caught Barry with the Walk-Off, but before Ryan could finish Barry, Carr dropped a massive elbow on Joey! The Detectives teamed together again to plant Ryan with the Book 'Em Danno to earn the three count!


WINNERS: TEAM TREMENDOUS


Warlord: Book 'Em, Danno! Joey Ryan, you are sentenced to three seconds counting the lights!

Daytondave: Barry and Carr looked- dare I say- Tremendous tonight. And with that defeat for Sky and Ryan, THE TRIBE have now officially clinched the top spot in the Independent Division. Congrats to Team Tremendous for tonight's win, and to The Tribe as they head to the League Championship! Now, fans- on to the match of the night.



FILSINGER CUP QUALIFYING MATCH: LADIES' SINGLES
CHEERLEADER MELISSA** pinned TRISH STRATUS***** (w/JIMMY HART)
Another tremendous war between Melissa and Trish! Action went back and forth for several minutes of intense competition, as both ladies gained near falls. Trish kicked out after a curb stomp, and the ladies came face to face. Melissa offered a handshake, which Trish reluctantly accepted. The battle resumed and Melissa dropped Trish with a Kudoh Driver, prompting Jimmy Hart to jump to the ring apron and distract referee BIG JIM THE ENFORCER! Melissa got to her feet angrily, and Trish went to the apron to scream at Hart to stop interfering in the match.

Warlord: Would you look at that? Trish wants to fight fair!

Daytondave: Wow! Maybe the efforts of Melissa to bring Trish back to the straight and narrow are about to pay dividends- or perhaps Trish feels honor-bound to keep things fair for the Filsinger Cup.

Hart looked perplexed, but climbed down from the ring apron. Hart left the megaphone laying on the ring apron, and Big Jim was preoccupied and didn't notice when Trish picked up the megaphone and clocked Melissa! Melissa was stunned, and Trish went for the cover. Before the Big Jim turned his attention back to the ring, CRUEFAN hustled down the aisle and pulled Melissa's leg over the bottom rope! Big Jim began to count the pin, but he spotted Cruefan and stopped the count! Big Jim screamed at Cruefan, but Cruefan pointed out the megaphone laying in the ring. Big Jim put two and two together, and ejected BOTH Hart and Cruefan from ringside!

Warlord: Atta boy, Big Jim! Way to get 'er done!

With all the distractions cleared away, the match was able to continue. Trish looked to take control, but Melissa drove Trish into the corner and belted Trish with a series of lefts and rights to the midsection! Trish tried to mount a comeback, but Trish missed with a bicycle kick and Melissa hoisted Trish up for a Kudho Driver for the pin!


Daytondave: What a match! That bout had EVERYTHING! Both Melissa and Trish gave it their all. Congratulations to Melissa on a hard-fought victory!

After the pin, Melissa offered Trish a hand up, but Trish rolled out of the ring and left without comment. Melissa wearily headed up the ramp, only to be met by KIMBER LEE! Melissa and Kimber had a long staredown, but Big Jim kept a close eye on both ladies until Melissa brushed past Kimber and departed.


Daytondave: Wow... that was intense! The rivalry between Melissa and Kimber is well-documented, and now these two will square off at 2017 Tournament of Champions with the Filsinger Cup on the line!
