The show opens with the tune, "Awake and Alive" by Skillet playing overhead. DAYTONDAVE & WARLORD enter through the curtain to the cheers of the fans.

Daytondave: Hey, fans, welcome to CHIKARA! It's great to be here at Northwestern University with a huge night of professional wrestling action.

Warlord: And then, it's on to the Music City Bowl!

Daytondave: Yes, indeed, big man. These great Northwestern fans are gearing up for the showdown against the University of Kentucky!

Warlord: And I predict the Wildcats will win!

Daytondave: Right on, Warlord. Which Wildcats? The Northwestern Wildcats or the Kentucky Wildcats?

Warlord: Which Wildcats? My buddy can help us figure that out!

The fans burst into cheers as the curtain opens to reveal:

WILDCAT WILLIE

Willie struts and dances through the crowd, tossing out Northwestern pennants and T-shirts to the joy of the fans.

Daytondave: The return of Wildcat Willie!

Willie hits the ring and unveils a poster of a Kentucky Wildcat logo, and proceeds to tear the poster to shreds as the fans cheer.

Daytondave: Easy there, Willie. Our pal KEVIN BUTCHER ain't gonna like that. My man KB bleeds Kentucky Blue, you know.

Warlord: Poor schlep. My Wildcats are gonna roll his Wildcats all over Music City.

Daytondave: A bold prediction, to be sure. But fans, this night is all about wrestling- and whether you are a UK fan or a Northwestern guy, you're gonna love tonight's show. The quarterfinals of the CHIKARA Grand Championship Tournament will be held tonight! Plus, our Main Event will be a championship match for the Heartland Ladies' Tag Team Titles. THE CANADIAN NINJAS are here to defend the belts against the duo of HEIDI LOVELACE & EVIE, collectively known as TEAM SLAP HAPPY. We're gonna rock Chicago tonight, fans- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!


As Wildcat Willie danced his way back to the locker room, TRISH STRATUS & JIMMY HART emerged through the curtain. Trish brushed past Willie with an arrogant sneer, but Jimmy stopped in the aisleway and shouted into his megaphone, encouraging Willie to moonwalk his way up the ramp as the fans cheered.

Warlord: Go Willie! Go Willie!

After Trish climbed into the ring, there was an unexpected delay. After several moments of awkward silence, JESSIE MCKAY enters through the curtain, limping badly. She is followed by LARRY SWEENEY & JOEBREAKDOWN, who appear deeply concerned. Joebreakdown talks with Jessie, trying to convince her to return to the locker room, but Jessie insists upon going through with the match.

Daytondave: What's going on down there? What happened to Jessie?


TRISH STRATUS (w/JIMMY HART) defeated JESSIE MCKAY** (w/LARRY SWEENEY & JOEBREAKDOWN)
Jessie fought gamely on one leg, but Trish was in control the whole way. After weakening Jessie with a hanging choke in the corner, Trish quickly delivered the Stratusfaction and covered Jessie for the pin.

After the decision, KIMBER LEE burst through the curtain, holding onto the hair of MALIA HOSAKA. Malia is holding a billy club, but Kimber tosses Malia to the ground and the billy club rolls away. Malia scrambles to her feet with Kimber in pursuit, but a pair of alert referees dash in from backstage and separate the fracas.

Warlord: Was that Malia Hosaka or Tanya Harding?

Daytondave: I think Kimber has solved the mystery of what happened to Jessie's leg. But Jimmy Hart got over on Sweeney tonight, and Larry ain't gonna be happy about that. All right, fans- let's head to tonight's first contest in the CHIKARA Grand Championship Tournament!



CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT: QUARTERFINALS
CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI* (8) pinned CHUCK TAYLOR* (16)
On the heels of his upset win over ETHAN PAGE, Taylor came in full of confidence. Taylor had some success early in the match until Claudio blasted Chuck with a Roaring European Uppercut. Taylor was staggered, and easy pickings for Claudio to finish him off with the Ricola Bomb.


Daytondave: A decisive win for Claudio to put him into the Final Four! Let's move on to our next match- and it's gonna be a big one!



CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT: QUARTERFINALS
TIM DONST (11) (w/TROY XAVIER) pinned RODERICK STRONG**** (3)
Strong came to the match looking for retribution against the Xavier Alliance, but it was not to be. Donst was in top form, and Donst took control of a close match with a knee smash at the turnbuckle. Donst laid into Strong with a series of submission holds, wearing down Strong who stubbornly refused to tap. Strong made it to the ropes to break the Hydro Lock, but Donst was immediately on Strong with an STO and a cover for the pin.


Warlord: I never liked that Troy Xavier. He's an untrustable scoundrel!

Daytondave: Let's give credit where credit is due. Donst won a clean victory tonight. I think the Xavier Alliance is in Roddy's head. Part of the brilliance of Troy Xavier. Donst moves into the semifinals with that win, and we move on to our next contest.



3.0 (SHANE MATTHEWS & SCOTT PARKER**) defeated CHEECH*** & COLIN DELANEY
A very well-fought tag match! Cheech and Delaney controlled most of the action in the early going, but a couple of botched double-team attempts turned the momentum in favor of Matthews and Parker. Parker pulled off a sweet Flash Roll-up on Cheech for the win as Matthews speared Delaney to ensure the pinfall.


Daytondave: Score one for Parker and Matthews! The team of 3.0 executed well tonight and came away with a hard-fought win. Okay, fans- that brings us to time for this week's edition of "Sweet Talk"!

The scene shifts to the set of "Sweet Talk", where LARRY SWEENEY paces nervously back and forth. He is accompanied by JOEBREAKDOWN, who also appears tense.

Sweeney: What the hell is going on out there?

Joebreakdown: It's all good, Larry. Kimber is with Jessie in the trainers' room.

Sweeney: How could this happen?

Joebreakdown: It's JIMMY HART, bruh. Jimmy set her up.

Sweeney: That old son of a biscuit-eater! You tell DAYTONDAVE to book Kimber Lee a match with MALIA HOSAKA. We'll teach Hart to mess with Sweet 'N Kimber Incorporated.

Joebreakdown: Will do.

Sweeney pauses for a moment as Joebreakdown stands at his side.

Sweeney: NOW, genius! Go tell him NOW!

Joebreakdown: Right.

Joebreakdown scurries away.

Sweeney: All right... not that we have THAT out of the way- let's talk about the indies. The year is coming to a close with a bang at Beyond Wrestling! The season has come down to the final four competitors- and any of these guys could win it all. Best of luck to DAVID STARR, JOEY JANELA, JONATHAN GRESHAM, and my pick to bring home the championship, CHUCK TAYLOR. Also, congratulations to DAVEY RICHARDS, who successfully defended the Evolve Heavyweight Championship with a win over PJ BLACK.

Sweeney: I wish I could say the same about Ultimate Kombat Wrestling. What a train wreck! It is UN-FLIPPING-BELIEVABLE that UKW would suspend JOEY STYLES just for having an opinion. That's the kind of lily-livered BS that gives wrestling promoters a bad name. Come on, Kanter- grow a pair, will ya? On the positive note, UKW put on a good Tag Team Title match this week between HYPEROPTIMISM and OI4K. Even though it ended in a double count-out, it was an exciting match and I would love to see those two teams hook up again.

Sweeney: It was a chaotic week for Ring Of Honor: New York this week. VEDA SCOTT and her crew have taken over! JAY BRISCOE, KENNY KING, RHETT TITUS, & PUNISHMENT MARTINEZ laid waste to the entire show on Wednesday. They took out every contender to the TV Title- including JAY LETHAL and WILL OSPREAY. Veda is trying to put aside any and all challengers to her team's titles heading into Final Battle. If you ask me- Veda is a genius!

(Boos)

Sweeney: And of course, TRADITION is still making noise about a comeback. I'll believe that when I see it.

(Boos)

Sweeney: It's about time to get back to action, folks. The CHIKARA Grand Championship Tournament is rolling on, and my man ADAM PEARCE is in the thick of it. Do your brains hurt test from all the knowledge? Of course, this is Northwestern, so you all are smarter than the average wrestling crowd. So it's time for you fine Wildcats to enjoy the rest of tonight's action and I will throw it back to ringside.


The scene returns to ringside, where Joebreakdown is talking to Daytondave.

Warlord: Thanks, Larry. You're a mouthy little runt, but you always put on a good show. I think it's time for another tournament match.


CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT: QUARTERFINALS
RICOCHET* (7) pinned BRYAN DANIELSON*** (2)
The talented, athletic Ricochet went for broke in this match, and it paid off! Ricochet pulled out every aerial move in his arsenal, and when he missed on a 630 Senton it looked like Danielson would take control. But Ricochet slipped out of the ring for a breather, and when Danielson pursued Ricochet to the arena floor, Ricochet caught the Dragon with a tornado DDT! Ricochet slid Danielson back into the ring, and this time Ricochet didn't miss with the 630 Senton which delivered the victory.


Warlord: Wow! Look at that little guy fly! Daytondave- did you see that?!?

Daytondave: I sure did. When Ricochet is on his game, he can do anything. Ricochet is a former CHIKARA Grand Champion- so I would not consider tonight's result to be an upset.

Warlord: I have never seen anything quite like that. So- did you sign the match with Kimber Lee?

Daytondave: It's a done deal. It will be Kimber vs. Malia this Wednesday night! But next up- the last of the quarterfinal matches in the Grand Championship Tournament!



CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT: QUARTERFINALS
ADAM PEARCE** (12) (w/LARRY SWEENEY) defeated EDDIE KINGSTON****** (4) (w/ TROY XAVIER) by submission
Pearce and Kingston locked horns in a brutal battle. After several minutes of hard-hitting action, Pearce walked into a Backfist from Kingston that sent his eyes rolling to the back of his head. With encouragement from Sweeney, Pearce pulled it together and rolled out of the ring. Kingston followed, and the two men exchanged punches and chops that echoed through the arena. After repeated throwdowns on the arena floor, the match returned to the ring, where Pearce exploded off the ropes with a Last Ride Lariat that crushed Kingston. Pearce followed up with a Jumping Piledriver for the win, but Troy pulled Kingston's foot over the bottom rope to save his man. Both men were on the brink of exhaustion, but he managed to drag Eddie to the center of the ring and clamp on the Figure-Four Leglock! Kingston desperately fought to the ropes, but Pearce cranked up the pressure and Eddie was unable to escape. Screaming in pain and frustration, Kingston was finally forced to give it up!


Daytondave: Sensational! That was an incredible battle!

Warlord: We're only in the quarterfinals- but this tournament has been unbelievable.

Daytondave: Right you are, my man. Congratulations to Adam Pearce for a heroic victory to move to the semifinals. Before we go to the Main Event, let's take a look at the current bracket:

Warlord: So it's down to the final four!

Daytondave: We'll see the semifinals on Wednesday night- and both those matches should be outstanding! But now, fans- it's time for the Main Event championship match!



MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND LADIES' TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
THE CANADIAN NINJAS (NICOLE MATTHEWS & PORTIA PEREZ**** w/TROY XAVIER) (c) defeated TEAM SLAP HAPPY (EVIE & HEIDI LOVELACE***)
It was a close call for the champions, but Nicole and Portia survived a tough challenge. Portia took a lot of damage and nearly suffered defeat after Evie delivered the TTYL. Xavier attempted to distract referee BIG JIM THE ENFORCER, but Big Jim made the count. Only quick thinking by Nicole saved Portia, as Nicole pulled Evie off the cover from outside the ring. Portia finally made the desperation tag to Nicole, who hit the ring and cleaned house! After dumping Evie with a Lariat, Nicole worked over Heidi and applied the Vancouver Manuver to secure the win.


THE CANADIAN NINJAS RETAIN THE HEARTLAND LADIES' TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP


Daytondave: What a win for the Ninjas! That was a tough title defense, but Nicole came through to help her team keep the belts. Congratulations to the Ninjas for a hard-fought win in tonight's Main Event. All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to this special Wednesday night edition of CHIKARA professional wrestling. It's a big night here in small town Indiana as the CHIKARA Grand Championship Tournament semifinals will take place tonight!

Warlord: Right here at DePauw University, the alma mater of DAN QUAYLE!

(Cheers)

Daytondave: Dan Quayle? Big man, you are a fount of information!

Warlord: We go back. I tried to get Danny as a special guest tonight, but his phlebitis was acting up.

Daytondave: Well, that's unfortunate. Mr. Quayle has no clue what he is missing tonight! It's the penultimate show of 2017, leading up to next week's Year-End Extravaganza. Lots of great action tonight, folks- so relax, grab-

Daytondave's introduction is interrupted by the arrival at ringside of TROY XAVIER & WAR MACHINE.

Warlord: What the- ?

Daytondave: Troy Xavier! My man! What brings you gentlemen out this evening?

Xavier: I'm glad you asked, Daytondave. Since you mentioned the Year-End Extravagant next week, I wanted to bring to your attention a contractual violation which has occurred that will affect the show. I'm afraid you will need to cancel the Campeonatos de Parejas match.

Daytondave: Cancel the match? But THE COLONY is set to defend the titles against N-R-G. The fans want to see those teams compete- WITHOUT the interference of you and the War Machine.

Xavier: That can't happen. I have been consulting with the Heartland Championship Committee as well as my own personal attorney. Please come in, sir.

Troy gestures to the curtain, and DAN QUAYLE enters, carrying a briefcase. The fans cheer respectfully. Warlord lights up and offers Quayle a hug.

Quayle: Who are you?

Warlord pouts. Quayle brushes past Warlord and opens the briefcase.

Quayle: Let's get to the point, Denverdoug. I have here a certified copy of the Bylaws of Heartland Championship Wrestling. Addendum T addresses the necessary conditions for conducting a championship match for the Campeonatos de Parejas title. According to section 7, paragraph A-2, if a contender is disqualified from a championship match, there shall be no title rematch, and the offenders shall be stripped of all their championship points. Therefore, it is the finding of the Championship Committee that the team known as N-R-G is not eligible for a title match. It can be further argued that the next most qualified contenders be awarded the opportunity to compete for said championship under the extenuating circumstances of a special event. I would submit that the Year-End Extravaganza constitutes a Special Event of the magnitude that would justify a championship match, and I would further assert that Messrs. Hanson and Rowe, collectively and heretofore subsequently referred to as the War Machine, are uniquely and exclusively qualified for consideration as the next most qualified contenders under the requirements set forth in paragraph B-12. Stipulating these criteria to have been satisfied, Dallasdonald, please verify that the War Machine will be awarded the Campeonatos match next week by affixing your signature on pages 7, 9, and 13 of this document.

Quayle hands Daytondave a clipboard.

Warlord: Danny boy… when did you become such a dork?

Warlord draws back a fist and prepares to give Quayle a knuckle sandwich. Daytondave browses the contract, then puts his hand on Warlord's shoulder to prevent the attack.

Daytondave: Let's not commit any felonies here tonight, big man. Take your aggressions out on this instead.

Daytondave hands Warlord the clipboard. Warlord removes the contract, tears it in two, wads it up, places it in his mouth, chews and swallows. Warlord smashes the clipboard across his knee and hands the shattered pieces back to Quayle.

Quayle: Destruction of personal property? I could get you fired for that, sir.

Daytondave: That won't be necessary, sir. Perhaps I can convince you to drop the charges.

Quayle: A plea bargain? What's the offer?

Daytondave: Using the power of my Commissionary position, I propose that we make the Campeonatos match next week a Triple Threat Match- The Colony, N-R-G, and War Machine will all battle for the championship.

The fans cheer. Quayle pulls Xavier aside, and after a brief discussion, Quayle offers Daytondave a handshake. Warlord slaps Quayle on the back, nearly causing Quayle to fall over. Xavier smiles and leaves the ring area.

Daytondave: Big Man, you owe me one. I kept your job for you!

Warlord: And you saved Dan Quayle the beating of a lifetime.

Daytondave: Now that we have THAT taken care of- it's time for action. So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!


CHIKARA TRIOS
3.OLE (SHANE MATTHEWS, SCOTT PARKER* & EL GENERICO*) defeated THE DEVASTATION CORPORATION (BLASTER MCMASSIVE****, MAX SMASHMASTER*, & FLEX RUMBLECRUNCH w/SIDNEY BAKABELLA)
It was an inauspicious debut for Manager Extraordinaire SIDNEY BAKABELLA. Sidney led the Corporation to the ring filled with confidence and swagger, and Bakabella was all smiles as the big boys commenced to beat down Scott Parker. Generico finally tagged in, but he was unable to budge any of the Corporation for a Brainbustaaahhh! Bakabella marched to the Commentation Station to extol the virtues of his team, but as Bakabella ranted, Flex and Blaster misfired on a double-team attempt and slammed together in a heap! Matthews hit the ring and wrapped up Blaster in a Boston Crab! Flex was incapacitated, and Generico took Smashmaster off the ring apron with a Yakuza Kick! There was no escape for Blaster, and after several agonizing moments trapped in the Boston Crab, Blaster was forced to tap out!


Daytondave: Mr. Bakabella, sir- you might want to leave the commentary to the professionals and take care of your own business at ringside.

Warlord: Yeah! Your losers just lost!

Daytondave: And congratulations to the former Trios Champions, 3.Ole, for pulling out the win. Now, fans- before we head to the Grand Championship Tournament, we have one more issue to deal with- a No Disqualification Grudge Match in the Heartland Ladies' Division!



GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION
KIMBER LEE**** (w/JESSIE MCKAY & LARRY SWEENEY) pinned MALIA HOSAKA******* (w/TRISH STRATUS & JIMMY HART)
It was chaos from the get-go in this match, as both ladies, their tag partners, and their managers tangled all over the arena! Kimber started quickly, taking control with punishing strikes and a vicious low blow! But a megaphone shot from Jimmy Hart stunned Kimber and enraged Sweeney! Referee BIG JIM THE ENFORCER was on the case, and he confiscated the megaphone! The damage had already been done, and Malia went to work with her devastating karate kicks, nailing Kimber with a reverse spin kick to set up the Frankensteiner. But Jessie McKay pulled Malia off of Kimber from outside the ring, causing Trish Stratus to launch herself onto Jessie with fists and fire! JOEBREAKDOWN sprinted to ringside to defend Jessie, and before long, Joebreakdown was rolling on the floor in the middle of a three-way fracas with Jessie and Trish.

Warlord: Whoa, nelly! It's a slobberknocker at ringside!

Back in the ring, Kimber took advantage of the distractions and attacked Malia with a rake to the eyes! Malia was momentarily blinded, and Jimmy Hart screamed at Big Jim about the unfair tactic! Sweeney saw an opportunity, removed his shoe, and slid it into the ring. Kimber retrieved the shoe and drilled Malia squarely between the eyes! Malia went down, and Kimber covered her for the three count!


Daytondave: Did you see that? Kimber just knocked out Malia with the help of Larry Sweeney's shoe!

Warlord: That, or the stench of Sweeney's foot odor just sent Malia into a coma. Hopefully it's just a concussion- Malia will recover from that quicker.

Daytondave: Jimmy Hart is one angry and right now!

Warlord: And I think Joebreakdown is the happiest man on earth! He is still tangled up with Trish and Jessie over there.

Daytondave: I don't think we have seen the end of this situation. What we need is a tag team match for all four of these ladies to settle their differences- and I intend to book that match next week at the Year-End Extravaganza! All right, fans- I think we have seen enough of this nasty feud for one night- are you ready for the tournament matches?



CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT: SEMIFINALS
RICOCHET pinned TIM DONST****
Once again, the athletic superiority of Ricochet ruled the day! Donst had barely gotten started when Ricochet caught Donst off guard and dropped him with the Rickrack! Once Ricochet went to the air, the onslaught was unstoppable! Ricochet obliterated Donst with a suicide dive, followed by an amazing springboard moonsault! Troy Xavier was beside himself at ringside, but Troy could only watch helplessly as Ricochet came off the top turnbuckle with a 630 Senton for a clean pinfall victory!


Warlord: Flippy Dippy! Flippy Dippy! Hooray for Flippy Dippy!

Daytondave: It's all or nothing with Ricochet- and when this guy is on his game, he is unstoppable! Congratulations to Ricochet for an exciting win to launch himself into next week's championship match! All right, fans- it's time now for the last semifinal match in the tournament!



CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT: SEMIFINALS
ADAM PEARCE (w/LARRY SWEENEY) pinned CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI*
A semifinal shocker! The fans were just returning to their seats when Claudio and Pearce squared off. After several moments, Pearce hoisted Claudio up for a ring-rattling vertical suplex that appeared to stun Claudio. Working quickly, Pearce immediately went for the Jumping Piledriver. To the shock of the crowd, Pearce went for the cover and picked up the three count!


Daytondave: Wow! Just like that, Adam Pearce has made it to the finals! I don't think Claudio expected such an aggressive attack in the early moments, but give Pearce credit for a big victory. That sets the stage for Pearce vs. Ricochet for the CHIKARA Grand Championship next Tuesday night at the CHIKARA Year-End Extravaganza! All right, fans- we're done here. So much action going on in the Heartland and I am pumped for the Ricochet vs. Adam Pearce finals to determine the new CHIKARA Grand Champion. Since I have no fondness for Larry Sweeney and his crew you know I am pulling for Ricochet to take the gold. I can't imagine the ego on Sweeney if his guy wins the championship. His ego is already the size of the Heartland. Huge win for 3.Ole over evastation Corporation as well as for Kimber Lee over Malia Hosaka. The Trish, Jessie and joebreakdown sandwich was a sight to see for sure. Congrats also to the Canadian Ninjas on retaining the Heartland Ladies tag titles over Team Slap Happy.

The show opens with the tune, "Awake and Alive" by Skillet playing overhead. The fans cheer as DAYTONDAVE emerges through the curtain, but Daytondave looks intense as he stops on the entryway. He is joined by WARLORD, LARRY SWEENEY, TROY XAVIER, BRYAN DANIELSON, and JIMMY HART.

Daytondave: Good evening, fans, and Merry Christmas to you all. It is great to be here tonight with a tremendous Year-End Extravaganza broadcast of Heartland Championship Wrestling. We have some outstanding matches in store for you tonight! But before we get started, I have a statement to make about the actions of several individuals who were formerly associated with the King Of The Indies organization.

(Boos)

Daytondave: As you know, under the leadership of ROH:New York promoter KEITH SIMMONS, both the KOTI Heavyweight Champion ADAM COLE and the Tag Team Champions KENNY OMEGA & CHRIS SABIN have vacated the KOTI titles and declared war on the rest of the Organization. I am here tonight, along with all of the CHIKARA managers, with a message for Keith and the ROH rebels:

In unison, all the managers shout: SCREW YOU!

Warlord: Now that's a pop that I am down with! Good job, Jimmy!

Daytondave: The King Of The Indies has always been about the spirit of competition- and no one man or one territory is bigger than that spirit. CHIKARA wrestling is one element of the life blood of the King Of The Indies. We have plenty of rivalries here in CHIKARA, and the competition has been known to get pretty intense- but tonight, we decided that a show of unity is the only appropriate response to the arrogance of the former KOTI champions and the scumbag filthy rotten scoundrel who leads them. Now that we have that out of the way, fans- we have a huge night of action. So relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!

The managers leave the entryway, but not before Larry Sweeney gives Jimmy Hart a swift kick in the pants. Troy Xavier gives Danielson the evil eye, but before any further hostilities can break out, BIG JIM THE ENFORCER emerges through the curtain and escorts the managers peacefully off the stage.



CHIKARA TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIP
THE SPECTRAL ENVOY (FRIGHTMARE*, HALLOWICKED*, & ULTRAMANTIS BLACK) defeated 3.OLE (EL GENERICO, SCOTT PARKER*, & SHANE MATTHEWS**)
Plenty of fast-paced action to open the Extravaganza! All six men went back and forth at a fast pace until Ultramantis managed to slow the pace against Big Magic. Matthews was in trouble, and it was Frightmare who slipped into the ring and assisted Ultramantis with a deadly face-first double suplex to put Matthews down for the cover!


THE SPECTRAL ENVOY WIN THE CHIKARA TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIP


Daytondave: Congratulations to the Spectral Envoy! They are the new Trios Champions! What a big win! There is something otherworldly about the chemistry of this unit, and they have made it to the top of the trios world with tonight's victory. Well done, men! All right, fans- next up- a rematch from the controversial Generic Secondary Championship match!



GENERIC SECONDARY CHAMPIONSHIP
BRODIE LEE pinned RODERICK STRONG****
The fans were on edge from the start of the contest as EDDIE KINGSTON accompanied Lee to ringside. The intimidation factor was in full force as Lee overpowered Strong from the beginning and clobbered Roderick with a series of Big Boots. Stunned and shaken, Strong staggered to the corner, but Lee pulled him to the top turnbuckle and planted Roddy with a half nelson superplex for a dominant victory.


BRODIE LEE RETAINS THE GENERIC SECONDARY CHAMPIONSHIP


Warlord: I don't think that title is going anyplace for a long time.

Daytondave: You make an excellent point, Warlord. Brodie Lee is certainly no friend of mine, but he is an awesome competitor in the ring and it will take a monumental effort to take that title away from him. All right, fans- it's time for our next championship match- and this one is going to be quite unique. It's a Triple Threat Tag Team Match with the Campeonatos title on the line!



CAMPEONATOS DE PAREJAS: TRIPLE THREAT TITLE MATCH
WAR MACHINE (RAYMOND ROWE** & HANSON***) defeated N-R-G (RACE JAXON** & HYPE ROCKWELL*) and THE COLONY (GREEN ANT*** & FIRE ANT**)
Action started at a fever pitch as Jaxon and Hanson faced off in the center of the ring. Green Ant cleverly took advantage, grabbing both Jaxon and Hanson by the neck and pounding their skulls together in a double noggin knocker! Green Ant took control against Jaxon, wrapping Race into the CHIKARA Special. Race struggled, but Hanson brought Rowe into the ring and lifted Green Ant up for the War Machine!

Warlord: Holy Schnikies! They almost took Green Ant's head right off his thorax!

Green Ant was in bad shape, but Rockwell tagged in to the match and alertly made the save. Rockwell and Rowe took to throwing hands, allowing Green Ant to tag out of the match. Hanson came into the ring to spell his partner, and Hanson walloped Rockwell with a massive clothesline which took both men over the top rope! Fire Ant went for broke, launching himself at both opponents on the arena floor, but Rockwell ducked away and caused Fire Ant to crash and burn!

Daytondave: Oh, no! Fire Ant is in bad shape now!

Green Ant entered the contest and came after Hanson full force. Jaxon joined Green Ant for a series of double-team moves on Hanson. Hanson took a beating, but Green Ant and Jaxon interrupted each other's attempts at a pin and the battle raged on. Rockwell hit the ring and helped Jaxon deliver a wicked Superkick/Hyperwheel combo on Hanson, and the big man was ripe for the pickings. Green Ant went to the top rope, but Rowe ran along the apron and belted Green Ant with a massive clothesline! Green Ant spilled from the top turnbuckle all the way to the arena floor, where he landed hard.

Warlord: Whoa Nelly! Both the Campeonatos are hurtin' for certain!

After suffering the double-team attacks, Hanson slid out of the ring and gave way to Rowe, who had all the momentum. Rowe launched Jaxon with an overhead suplex that sent Race slamming to the mat so hard that the ring shook from the impact. Hanson returned to the ring, laying out Rockwell with a running smash that sent Rockwell tumbling to the arena floor. Jaxon was left all alone in the ring, and Rowe and Hanson set up the War Machine! Jaxon was obliterated on impact, and neither member of the Colony was able to make the save as Rowe covered Jaxon for the three count!


WAR MACHINE CAPTURE THE CAMPEONATOS DE PAREJAS


Warlord: Nooo!!! That rotten son-of-a-gun Troy just took another championship! Do you believe that crap?

Daytondave: It's true, big man. Congratulations to the War Machine- your new Campeonatos de Parejas! It was a tough battle tonight, and the War Machine proved themselves to be the toughest team in the ring. It has been quite a run for the Colony, but all good things must come to an end. One thing that may never end is the feud between LARRY SWEENEY and JIMMY HART. These ladies have been at each other for months- and now they are going to meet again in tag team action.



GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION
TRISH STRATUS**** & MALIA HOSAKA* (w/JIMMY HART) defeated KIMBER LEE***** & JESSIE MCKAY (w/LARRY SWEENEY)
It was chaos from the opening bell as these four ladies threw down. The drama started even before the opening bell, when Jessie delivered a cheap shot to the left knee of Malia! Malia went down, and Trish was forced to carry the load against both of Sweeney's ladies. Trish took a pounding from Jessie and Kimber as Hart began to panic. Jimmy took a whack at Jessie with his megaphone, but Jimmy misfired and smacked referee BIG JIM THE ENFORCER across the back of the head! Big Jim went down, and all hell broke loose!

Warlord: Business is about to pick up!

Malia finally entered the match, even though she was limping noticeably. Malia put her chops to use on Kimber, backing Kimber into the corner and wailing on her until Kimber's chest was bright red. Jessie hit the ring to rescue her partner, but Trish went to the top rope and prepared to wipe out Jessie! Before Trish could take flight, JOEBREAKDOWN jumped to the ring apron and pushed Trish off to the mat! Trish hit hard, and Jimmy Hart was livid! Hart finally managed to roust Big Jim, and the match settled back to one-on-one in the ring. As Big Jim was putting Jessie out of the ring, Malia came out of the corner and drilled Kimber with a flying double chop! Kimber staggered off the ropes, and Malia went to the air for a Frankensteiner! Big Jim turned his attention back to the match, and Malia made the cover to pick up the three count!


Daytondave: Unbelievable! Jimmy Hart and his ladies have won tonight's tag match! Malia pretty much fought that match on one leg, but she made the right moves at the right time to pick up the win. Jimmy Hart is overjoyed!

Warlord: And it looks like Sweet 'N Kimber is not very happy about the outcome of that match. Kimber is yelling at Joebreakdown, Jessie is yelling at Kimber, and Sweeney is at a loss for words.

Daytondave: What?!?!?

Warlord: Never thought I would see the day.

Daytondave: While Sweet 'N Kimber tries to sort things out, fans- I have a big announcement to make. As you know, KENNY OMEGA & CHRIS SABIN decided to surrender the KOTI Tag Team Championship, and to trash the belts. So, we won't be seeing those two pieces of garbage here tonight- or any time soon. But all is not lost- because Daytondave is a man with connections. THE TRIBE is here tonight- and they will have the opportunity to wrestle for the KOTI Tag Titles against another top team in the Indies. I made a few phone calls, and I am pleased to present the challengers for tonight's KOTI Tag Team Championship: AWE Tag Team Champions, JIMMY RAVE & DONOVAN DIJAK!

Rave and Dijak stride to the ring as the fans cheer. The Tribe greet Rave and Dijak, holding the ropes for the challengers. All four men shake hands in the center of the ring and the referee calls for the bell!

Daytondave: One more thing, guys- did I mention that I have connections? Check THIS out!

The fans erupt with cheers at the appearance of DELIRIOUS and SANTA CLAUS at the top of the ring ramp! Delirious is limping with a heavily bandaged knee, and Santa is carrying a knapsack. Delirious babbles happily, and he reaches up and pulls the beard off of Santa to reveal COLT CABANA! Cabana opens up the knapsack and pulls out the King Of The Indies Tag Team Title Belts! Cabana delivers the belts to the referee as the fans applaud loudly.

Warlord: Brilliant!



KING OF THE INDIES TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Both teams came to the match with determination. The action was crisp and the tags were frequent as all four men struggled for control. Jimmy Rave saw an opening against Navajo Warrior, and Rave nailed Warrior with a running spear! Rave followed up quickly with the Doppler Effect and went for the cover. At the count of two, the referee was pulled out of the ring! The fans were shocked at the appearance of THE YOUNG BUCKS. MATT JACKSON drilled the referee with a Superkick. Santa Cabana hurried to the ring, but NICK JACKSON nailed Cabana with a Superkick!

Warlord: Nick Jackson just superkicked Santa Claus!

Chaos prevailed at ringside, and special referee BIG JIM THE ENFORCER dashed to ringside to take control. But the Bucks weren't finished, and Nick and Matt teamed up to deliver a double superkick to Big Jim! Jim went down, and both the Hawaiian Lion and Donovan Dijak came off the apron in pursuit of the Bucks. Quick as a flash, Matt grabbed the title belts, and the Bucks dashed away from ringside!


RESULT: NO CONTEST


Daytondave: Those worthless little punks! I bet KEITH SIMMONS put them up to that. Those Jackson brothers are just a couple of slimy little spot monkeys who would do anything to make themselves the center of attention.

Warlord: How did Simmons even know that Heartland had the belts?

Daytondave: That's a fine question, big man. Is it possible that there is a mole in CHIKARA? I certainly hope not. This ROH business has everybody on edge- not just here, but all around the indy circuit. But for the moment- we have another problem. Both of our referees are out and we have a title match to present!

Warlord: What are we going to do?

Daytondave: I got this. A friend of my nephew's is in town.

Warlord: Seriously? You have a nephew? He has friends?

Daytondave ignores the questions from Warlord and dials his cell phone. RICOCHET and ADAM PEARCE enter the ring, appearing confused. A few moments later, a moped pulls through the curtain at a high rate of speed, and a man in a referee shirt hops of the moped and into the ring. Still wearing his helmet, he calls for the bell.

Warlord: Who is that guy?

Daytondave: Dude- take off your helmet!

The referee removes his helmet and reveals himself to be the one and only BRYCE REMSBURG! The fans cheer wildly, but LARRY SWEENEY flies into a rage at ringside. Bryce calls for the bell and the title match begins!



MAIN EVENT: CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP
RICOCHET** pinned ADAM PEARCE******* (w/LARRY SWEENEY)
The Main Event had it all! The flying moves of Ricochet were the only thing in the arena faster than Sweeney's banter. Pearce tried to rough up Ricochet at the beginning of the bout, pummeling his smaller foe with head butts and elbow smashes before drilling Ricochet with a sweet power slam. Ricochet slid out of the ring to recover, and Pearce pursued Ricochet with evil intentions. But as Pearce moved in, Ricochet caught Pearce by surprise and dumped him to the floor with a back body drop! Both men were down as Remsburg issued the count. Pearce was the first to return to the ring, and once again he began a beatdown on the smaller Ricochet. But Ricochet battled back, using his quickness to escape from a suplex attempt and drop Pearce with a DDT! Ricochet made the cover, but Sweeney reached in from outside of the ring to pull Pearce's foot over the bottom rope!

Daytondave: Oh no he didn't! There's no way my man Bryce will let that slide!

Sure enough, Remsburg was immediately in the face of Sweeney! Sweeney pushed Remsburg in the chest, but Remsburg pushed back harder and sent Sweeney tumbling over the ring steps!

Warlord: Good Lord, Gertie! That may be the greatest thing I have ever seen!

With Sweeney out of commission, Ricochet went to the air. A Shooting Star Press from Ricochet connected, leaving Pearce flat on his back in the center of the ring. Ricochet immediately followed with the 630 Senton, scoring another direct hit to capture the pinfall and the championship!


RICOCHET WINS THE CHIKARA GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP


Warlord: Hooray Flippy Dippy!

Daytondave: Ladies and gentlemen, history has been made here in Indianapolis! Ricochet has won the CHIKARA Grand Championship! Another terrific run for a great athlete as Ricochet went through the entire Grand Championship Tournament to capture the belt for the second time. Congratulations to the new champion! All right, fans- we're done here. Thanks for checking us out tonight! We'll be back on New Year's Day to bring you another annual Heartland Tradition- Buckeye Bowl 2018! I'm not sure what to make of the King of the Indies situation but it doesn't sound good. I do admit I enjoyed the antics of the Young Bucks and that superkick to Santa Colt. Something that is good, however, is Ricochet beating Larry Sweeney's goon Adam Pearce to become the new CHIKARA Grand Champion. With Sweeney also having to suffer seeing a loss by Kimber Lee & Jessie McKay to Trish Stratus & Malia Hosaka I would say it was overall a great night for yours truly.

Although I am a fan of 3.Ole I can't be unhappy about their trios title loss to The Spectral Envoy as I am a huge fan of that team as well. Cool to see Brodie Lee retain the Generic Secondary Championship turning back a tough challenge from Roderick Strong. So much to like about this show and I didn't even get into War Machine winning the Campeonatos de Parejas. The show opens with the tune, "Hang On Sloopy" by The McCoys playing overhead at the packed Schottenstein Center. DAYTONDAVE, WARLORD, & LARRY SWEENEY parade down the aisle as the fans cheer. Following behind Sweeney are JESSIE MCKAY & KIMBER LEE, accompanied by JOEBREAKDOWN. Joebreakdown is pushing a cart down the aisle. The entourage arrives at ringside, and the awards cart is lifting into the ring.

Daytondave: Hey, fans! Welcome to the year 2018! The New Year is upon us and it's time for the Buckeye Bowl!

Warlord: How about them Buckeyes! They laid the smack down on Sam Darnold and those other California losers!

Sweeney: You got that right. Darnold sucked- and he passed his audition to be the #1 draft pick for the Cleveland Browns!

Daytondave: You got that right, Sweeney. But fans- we are here today to kick off the new year with two Heartland traditions. First things first- the 2017 Heartland Year-End Awards!

Sweeney: I got this, boss man. Hey, Joe-broni- make yourself useful and help us pass out the hardware. Congratulations to this year's Award Winners!

Warlord: Good call!

Sweeney: Yeah, let that lunkhead KEITH SIMMONS try to match the prestige that the Heartland has to offer.

Daytondave: Congratulations to all the well-deserved winners for 2017. Now, it's time to look to the future! The King Of The Indies Championship is currently vacant- but not for long. The promoters are planning a tournament to crown a new champion! The first entrant into the tournament is the CHIKARA Grand Champion, RICOCHET. The second name will be determined tonight and it will be the winner of the Buckeye Bowl! Enough talk, ladies and gentlemen- it's time for action. And there is no better action anywhere than the Buckeye Bowl- so relax, grab yourself a cold one, and enjoy the show!

ENTRY #1: WILL OSPREAY
ENTRY #2: MICHAEL ELGIN

The action started quickly as Elgin came after Ospreay, bur Ospreay dodged a kick from Elgin and caught Elgin with a Fireman's Carry Gutbuster! Ospreay connected solidly, and shocked the crowd by dumping Elgin easily over the top rope!

MICHAEL ELGIN HAS BEEN ELIMINATED (OSPREAY)

Daytondave: Wow! That may be the quickest elimination in Buckeye Bowl history!

ENTRY #3: CEDRIC ALEXANDER
ENTRY #4: TIM DONST

Alexander and Ospreay battled for the full two minutes. Alexander controlled most of the action, but was unable to get Ospreay out. Donst hit the ring and tried to take over on Ospreay, but Cedric hit a Springboard Clothesline on Donst that drew a massive cheer from the crowd!

ENTRY #5: AR FOX

The pace picked up when Fox entered the match. Alexander tried to oust Ospreay, but the fans were stunned when Ospreay drilled Alexander with a sensational handspring rebound enzuigiri!

Warlord: That is some unbelievable flippy-dippy!

ENTRY #6: JAY LETHAL

Lethal came to the ring ready for action, and tangled with AR Fox. Fox delivered some high-impact offense, but Lethal came off the ropes and drilled Fox with the Diving Dynamite for the elimination!

AR FOX HAS BEEN ELIMINATED (LETHAL)

After the outstanding move by Lethal, Ospreay caught Lethal off-guard with an enzuigiri, but was unable to get Lethal over the top rope.

ENTRY #7: FLEX RUMBLECRUNCH

The massive Rumblecrunch went right to work upon entering, taking the fight to Tim Donst. TROY XAVIER tried to negotiate with SIDNEY BAKABELLA at ringside, but Flex disregarded the politicking and snatched Donst in a massive bearhug! With Troy going berserk, Rumblecrunch tossed Donst over the top rope and out of the match!

TIM DONST HAS BEEN ELIMINATED (RUMBLECRUNCH)

Lethal and Alexander battled for several minutes as others came and went. Lethal went for a Lethal Injection, but Alexander alertly ducked down and backdropped Lethal out of the ring!

ENTRY #8: DONOVAN DIJAK

Rumblecrunch was psyched up after pitching out Donst, and Flex set his sights on Will Ospreay. MAX SMASHMASTER came to ringside and tried to assist Flex, but Senior Referee BRYCE REMSBURG put a stop to that and ordered both Smashmaster and Bakabella away from ringside!

Warlord: Atta boy, Bryce!

ENTRY #9: RODERICK STRONG

On his way to the ring, Strong was attacked by Smashmaster! Max nailed Roddy with a vicious headbutt, and Bakabella cheered Smashmaster on as Max rolled Strong into the ring. Strong was defenseless, and Flex Rumblecrunch caught Strong by the neck and powered him out of the ring with a chokeslam onto the apron!

RODERICK STRONG HAS BEEN ELIMINATED (RUMBLECRUNCH)

ENTRY #10: COLT CABANA
ENTRY #11: JOCK SAMSON

The ring was beginning to fill up, but the action didn't slow down. Cedric Alexander had a long battle with Colt Cabana and nearly had Cabana out of the ring before Colt escaped. Will Ospreay saw the opportunity, and assisted Cabana in dumping Alexander out of the match!

CEDRIC ALEXANDER HAS BEEN ELIMINATED (OSPREAY)

Rumblecrunch then made a move on Cabana, but Colt swiftly turned the tables and stunned Flex with a Colt .45 and pitched Flex over the top rope!

ENTRY #12: ADAM PEARCE

Pearce entered the Bowl looking to make a statement, but it turned out to be a miscalculation. Pearce challenged Dijak, but Dijak quickly overpowered Pearce, hoisted Pearce into a Gorilla Press, and hurled him out to the floor!

Warlord: Whoa! That dude threw Adam Pearce a country mile! That was some highlight reel material right there. Larry Sweeney ain't gonna be happy about that. Hey- where is Sweeney anyway?

ENTRY #13: EDDIE KINGSTON

Kingston jumped into the fracas and immediately chopped everyone in his path. Cabana stood up to Eddie's bullying and traded forearms in the center of the ring. Ospreay attempted a spinning neckbreaker on Dijak, but Donovan overpowered Ospreay and delivered a running lariat that dumped Ospreay over the top!

Daytondave: That was a heck of a performance by Ospreay, considering he was the first guy to enter the match. He was pretty blown up after 25 minutes of intense action.

ENTRY #14: BRYAN DANIELSON

No sooner had Dijak eliminated Ospreay than Cabana took advantage with a running Lariat of his own to send Dijak toppling over the top!

DONOVAN DIJAK HAS BEEN ELIMINATED (CABANA)

Meanwhile, Kingston opened up a fierce assault on Samson. Samson bravely hung in, absorbing chops and clotheslines and refusing to go down. Kingston reared back with a vicious headbutt! The blow opened a nasty gash over the right eye of Samson, but Samson battled back and shoved Kingston to the mat.

ENTRY #15: MARK ANGELOSETTI

As Angelosetti hit the ring and began to battle with Danielson, Samson staggered into the path of Colt Cabana. Cabana winced at the sight of the bloodied Samson, then nailed Samson with a Bionic Elbow to send Samson out of the match.

Warlord: That was a mercy killing if I ever saw one.

ENTRY #16: TOMASSO CIAMPA

Angelosetti and Danielson continued to battle, but Cabana found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. A stray clothesline from Angelosetti drilled Cabana, sending Colt tumbling over the top.

ENTRY #18: CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI

Ciampa engaged with Danielson and attempted a running knee, but the Dragon was one step ahead. Danielson was able to dodge the knee smash and counter with a Yakuza Kick to eliminate Ciampa.

TOMMASO CIAMPA HAS BEEN ELIMINATED (DANIELSON)

Meanwhile, Claudio hooked up with Angelosetti. The stiff Europeans forearms were more than Mr. Touchdown could endure. Crossbones walked into a Backfist from Kingston, and that was all for Crossbones!

Daytondave: Holy cow! We're down to three guys in the ring- Eddie Kingston and two of the Unmanglers!

ENTRY #19: JUAN FRANCISCO DE CORONADO

Unfortunately for Kingston, the next name called was the man with the slowest ring entrance in the known universe. Left to fend for himself, Kingston tried to battle both Unmanglers, but Claudio and Danielson teamed together to eliminate Eddie with a double suplex.

ENTRY #20: CHUCK TAYLOR

Taylor was clearly not interested in facing off against the Unmanglers. As Claudio tangled with Coronado, Taylor tried a sneak attack on Claudio, but Danielson cut him off and Taylor quickly retreated.

ENTRY #21: JOHN SILVER

Silver didn't last long. As soon as Claudio saw him coming, Claudio shoved Coronado to the side, launched himself at Silver, and put Silver out of the ring with a European Uppercut. Coronado tried to take advantage with a back attack on Claudio, but Claudio simply outmuscled Coronado and tossed him out of the ring.

Warlord: That's four eliminations for Claudio! The Swiss Superman is on a roll!

ENTRY #22: GREG EXCELLENT

Danielson and Claudio attempted to take a breather as Taylor and Excellent squared off. After a few moments, Excellent decided instead to pick a fight with Claudio! Needless to say, that proved to be a bad idea as Claudio quickly dispensed with Excellent with a gut wrench German Suplex.

ENTRY #23: SHAUN RICKER

Ricker got right into the face of Claudio, and the confrontation quickly turned into a slugfest. Neither man could gain the advantage until Taylor jumped in. Danielson tried to watch CLaudio's back, but Taylor was able to connect with a jumping big boot! Claudio absorbed the blow, but Ricker smartly pulled the top rope down and Claudio flipped out of the ring!

Daytondave: What a lucky shot by Taylor! Claudio is out after a terrific run!

ENTRY #24: SCORPIO SKY

Taylor offered Ricker a high-five after the elimination of Claudio, but Ricker responded by attempting a lariat! Taylor was wise to the move, ducked the clothesline, and backflipped Ricker out of the ring!

SHAUN RICKER HAS BEEN ELIMINATED (TAYLOR)

Daytondave: No reason for either of those guys to trust each other!

Meanwhile, Danielson and Sky locked up and Dragon peppered Scorpio with stiff kicks. After taking a lot of punishment, Sky caught the leg of Danielson and flipped Danielson over with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip, sending Danielson over the top rope!

The ring was filling up again and the competitve juices were flowing. Scorpio and Uhaa had several confrontations, culminating when Scorpio caught Uhaa with a Hurricanrana for a slick elimination!

ENTRY #28: LARRY SWEENEY

Warlord: What?!? How did he get into the Battle Bowl?!? At #28???

No sooner did Sweeney hit the ring than Scorpio Sky came after him, quickly joined by Ultramantis. As Sweeney got pummeled, the crowd cheered wildly! Sweeney responded with a slap to the face of Sky, which Scorpio didn't appreciate. Scorpio delivered an Ace Crusher and flipped Sweeney out of the ring!

Daytondave: And the Heartland has a new favorite wrestler!

ENTRY #29: ARCHIBALD PECK
ENTRY #30: ETHAN PAGE

Daytondave: And they are all in the ring now! Big man- who do you like?

Warlord: It's anybody's match to win! Zach Sabre is a guy who deserves a shot at the title- but Chuck Taylor is the hottest wrestler in the indies right now and probably the smartest guy in the ring.

Ethan Page tried to strike a deal with Sabre to team up, but Zach wasn't having any of it! Scorpio Sky got in Page's face, but Page grabbed Scorpio and Ultramantis and brought them together for a nasty double noggin-knocker! Ultramantis was stunned, and Sabre alertly took advantage, drilling Ultramantis with a Penalty Kick for the elimination!

ULTRAMANTIS BLACK HAS BEEN ELIMINATED (SABRE, JR.)

The mood was tense, and Peck geared himself up for battle. Archie took after Page and hammered away with the Fists of Fury! Page was immediately on the defensive, and Archie continued his attack. With the fans chanting, Archie backed Ethan into the corner and unleashed the Unchained Melody to put Page out of the match!

ETHAN PAGE HAS BEEN ELIMINATED (PECK)

Taylor and Sabre squared off, and it looked like Chuckie would take control after a turnbuckle powerbomb. But Sabre survived Taylor's attempt at elimination and battled back with a Rolling Elbow to put Taylor over the top!

CHUCK TAYLOR HAS BEEN ELIMINATED (SABRE, JR.)

Sky went to work on Peck, and it was clear that Sky was the superior athlete. Archie did his best, but Scorpio was too much and eliminated Archie with a standing dropkick!

ARCHIBALD PECK HAS BEEN ELIMINATED (SKY)

Daytondave: And we are down to the final two! It is Scorpio Sky and Zach Sabre, Jr. for all the marbles!

Sky and Sabre went back and forth for another ten minutes with the crowd on the edge of their seats! Sabre took the action to the mat and wore down Scorpio, but Scorpio finally made a comeback and unleashed a series of aerial attacks! Sabre kept his balance, and Sky was unable to power Zach out of the ring. Zach reacted with a series of counter moves, finally trapping Sky with a Cross Arm Breaker over the top rope. Sky was unable to escape until his shoulder was nearly out of socket! Sabre finally released the hold, and immediately belted Scorpio with an Enzuigiri to knock Sky out of the ring!

Daytondave: Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner! Congratulations to Zach Sabre, Jr. for coming out on top in the 2018 Buckeye Bowl! That was an epic confrontation with Scorpio Sky that decided the outcome. Just like the big man Warlord predicted- Sabre is a guy who deserves to be considered for any title in this business- and he has now earned the opportunity to wrestle for the King Of The Indies Championship! Daytondave: And welcome to Saturday night in the Heartland! We are excited to be here tonight as the new year will start off with a bang. The 2018 Buckeye Bowl was a great success, and the coming year has plenty of excitement in store.

Warlord: And we don't need no stinkin' Ring of Cowards!

The Ants had control of most of this bout and it looked like Fire Ant would finish the victory with the Beach Break. But Xavier slipped in to the ring, smoked Fire Ant with a kick to the back of the head, and pull Wentz on top of Fire Ant for the pin!


Warlord: What just happened?

Daytondave: That was a slick move by Xavier to give the rookies a win! And a costly loss for the former Campeonatos- they're headed to the back of the line after that defeat.



RODERICK STRONG defeated UHAA NATION* by submission
In a surprisingly quick match, Roderick stunned Uhaa with a running knee at the turnbuckle, then quickly locked in the Strong Hold to force the submission.


Daytondave: Roderick looked sharp tonight. He has had a rough month, first losing the Generic Secondary Championship and then getting roughed up by the DEVASTATION CORPORATION at the Buckeye Bowl. But Strong is still alove in his quest to earn a shot at the CHIKARA Grand Championship!



NIKKI ROXX**** & ARIEL defeated THE MINNESOTA HOME WRECKING CREW (LACEY** & RAIN)
Spunky Ariel was the heroine in this Ladies' Tag Team match! After Nikki took a vicious double-team beating, Ariel seized the opportunity to storm the ring, and annihilate Lacey with the Ariel Go Round!


Warlord: That's one little firecracker!

Daytondave: Quite a debut for Nikki and Ariel tonight. All right, fans- the time has come for the 2018 return of "Sweet Talk"!

The scene shifts to the set of "Sweet Talk". LARRY SWEENEY struts across the stage, as KIMBER LEE cheers him on. JOEBREAKDOWN sits on the sofa, but JESSIE MCKAY leaps up and leads the cheers along with Kimber.

Sweeney: How about that? Ain't it great to be me? All right, Penn State, listen up. Top ten football squad and I love me some Saquon Barkley. So lemme drop some indie knowledge on you fine folks tonight! Of course, y'all can't beat the Buckeyes, but that's nothing to hang your heads over. reDRagon (0-0) vs. QUACKSAW (0-0)
Emotions ran high in the first confrontation between RoH and CHIKARA. Quackenbush looked sharp in his return to action, pummeling Fish with lightning fast strikes and wrapping O'Reilly into the CHIKARA Special! O'Reilly could find no escape, and was nearly forced to give it up until Fish came in to make the save. reDRagon managed to get their teamwork clicking, and dropped Quackenbush with Chasing The Dragon. Jigsaw hit the ring to break up the pinfall, and all four men brawled in the ring! In the middle of the fracas, it was O'Reilly who hit the big move, nailing Jigsaw with the Armageddon to catch the pin.

Warlord: Blast it! I hate losing to those cowards!

Daytondave: That was intense. That's the first time we have seen Mike Quackenbush since his injury. He was motivated by that Keith Simmons nonsense and he called on a trusted old friend to join him in the fight. It didn't go our way tonight, but we have an entire year to prove to those clowns what the indies are made of. And fans- I am proud of every independent competitor around the country, and we are privileged to see two more of them in action next.



SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH
CEDRIC ALEXANDER** pinned JAY LETHAL***
After the battles at the Buckeye Bowl, Lethal and Alexander were anxious to battle again. The action went back and forth for nearly 15 minutes with multiple near-falls by both men! Both competitors were gassed, but Alexander dug deep and delivered the big move, hitting Lethal with a springboard clothesline for the win.

After the decision, Lethal got to his feet and offered Alexander a handshake. Alexander pulled Lethal into an embrace, and Lethal raised the arm of Alexander as the fans cheered both men.


Daytondave: Now that's what I'm talking about. Competition at the highest level between two proud men, and a great display of sportsmanship. Give it up for Lethal and for Cedric!

A wild Main Event! Jessie and Malia were determined to beat the stuffings out of each other and the crowd was electric. Jessie took control with a Northern Lights bomb, and Malia rolled out of the ring to recover. Malia was joined at ringside by her partner, TRISH STRATUS. Trish began to flirt with Joebreakdown, and Jimmy Hart took advantage of the distraction to nail Jessie with his megaphone! KIMBER LEE sprinted to ringside and took out Malia with a running spear! Both ladies rolled back into the ring, but both were stunned. Jessie was first to recover, and Jessie executed the School Girl Crush to capture the win.

After the decision, Trish and Jimmy went to the ring to assist Malia. Kimber came to ringside and screamed at Joebreakdown! Joebreakdown tried to plead his case, but Kimber slapped him! Kimber and Jessie left the ring together, leaving Joebreakdown to leave on his own.
