The Squared Circle Acadia Recreation Complex Calgary, Alberta, Canada Card #1, May 3, 2010 Killer Kowalski » Hacksaw Jim Duggan » CLAW HOLD Kowalski and Duggan rocked the house at the start of the night. Most of the action took place outside the ring, and the fans absolutely loved it! Many signature moves where hit and applied. Hacksaw was the first to almost get the pin via his Flying Spear. Kowalski managed to kick out and apply the Stomach Claw, but Hacksaw got to the ropes. He then applied the Claw Hold but, once again, Hacksaw got to the ropes. After a second Claw Hold, Hacksaw passed out in the center of the ring! After the match, Kowalski took Hacksaw's 2x4 and left the ring to a chorus of boos! Duggan wobbled to his feet, looked around for his 2x4, and then went nuts as he suspected Kowalski had taken it. Duggan, pushing the referee aside, marched to the back with his mind set on finding Kowalski. Terry Gordy » Don Leo Jonathan » POWERBOMB DLJ almost got the pin right from the start; Gordy charged at DLJ and only hit the corner post due to a quick sidestep by DLJ. However, that was really the last time DLJ ever got a pin attempt again. Gordy came back furiously with an onslaught of slams and back suplexes, acquiring a handful of pin attempts. After a long brawl outside the ring, Gordy destroyed DLJ with his signature Powerbomb in the center of the ring! Harley Race » Frank Gotch » PILEDRIVER "The Greatest Wrestler in the World" applied a million different locks and submission holds, but Race shook 'em off without any issue, stunning Gotch for a moment. Overall, Race manhandled the fan favorite with his diving headbutts and vertical suplexes and, in the end, Race finished off Gotch with his sick throwback finisher, the Piledriver. Buddy Rogers » Bobo Brazil » FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE Brazil and Rogers didn't put on much of a match due to Brazil's lack of agility. Rogers' technical prowess simply put an end to Brazil's desire to brawl. After a sick piledriver very early in the match, Rogers applied his signature Figure Four Grapevine; Brazil reached with everything he had to get to the ropes but tapped out about a foot from his destination! After the match, Rogers strutted around the ring with his hands in the air but, finally to his feet, Brazil surprised him with a nasty Coco Butt to end the show!

I like how you write the actual result of the match with the strike through the name of the loser. It's a nice format. I like the thing with Kowalski taking the 2x4, as well. I'm not sure why, I just find that to be a neat starting point for an angle.

A very good start Dust, it will be fun to see how things do turn out between Kowalski and Duggan...
