I've been away from the game for a while, so this new 'fed' is a bit of a mystery. From what I gather, its where the cards for the 'make your own character' contest wrestle, as well as some of the guys that aren't in the GWF anymore? Am I close?
And what is its official relation to the GWF? Is it a feeder fed, or simply a promoter creation that has taken off with a life of its own?

It *is* where the characters created in the Promoter Madness sets wrestle.
There are no former GWF wrestlers on the active roster, but a few characters have been named as being involved 'behind the scenes;' SW, Nefarus, and Max Shield have been mentioned as trainers and Johnny Rocket is one of the announcers.
And yes, it is officially a feeder fed. In the handbooks, a few characters have already established friendships and rivalries with some of the current roster and one of the characters has already been 'call up' so to speak...although he ended up in the aCe rather than the GWF.
Hope that helps.

Hope that helps. However, you are the promoter. Some people use the GWFZ as their minor league where they demote talent that is not getting much time in the GWF. What is said above is what the GWFZ is designed for but again, the motto is "You're the promoter." Pick whatever looks fun and don't get upset when someone tells you that you're doing it wrong.

Floyd - The GWFZ is a *feeder* fed designed to house talent currently aiming at *making it* in the GWF one day...some guys have ties to aCe as well and could one day be promoted there, maybe even POW. The characters are all designed by *PROMOTER MADNESS* lottery winners (COTG fans just like you) which were drawn at random over the past 2 GALACTICONS. The sets are funded by Tom and considered *Alternate Universe* (which means they may or not may be deemed as part of the *official* storyline)... Guys like Overtime, Ensor, Pride, Motor Psycho, Strong, Narcotik, Ares, Surgeon and a bunch of others have strong GWF ties... The GWFZ sets coincide with 2121, and 2122... There is at least one more PROMOTER MADNESS set coming this summer...if you attend you will have a pretty great chance at winning a spot as no one winner can win twice... That's the jest of it but if you have any more questions feel free to ask as I am the gentleman who is lucky enough to help produce and promote these sets. swarm

Keep beating that horse Dave. It's all you've got left. Just pointing out the slogan that's just about on everything put out there. Not sure how "it's up to you, you're the promoter" became "This is the way it's done. If not, you're doing it wrong." Don't recall seeing this in any of the handbooks. I don't have them all so maybe I missed that part. ;D FWIW - I play by storyline and game year so I'd play it exactly the way it is designed. Just pointing out that some people don't.

Thanks guys...that clears it up for me. From the sounds of it, Promoter Madness has worked out really well...some of the guys are pretty cool...so congrats to Swarm (who was really behind the project from day one if I'm not mistaken) and the rest of the COTG Team for adding another level to the games enjoyment.

True. I wouldn't personally consider that to be on the 'active roster.' More like a special event kind of thing, the way the WWE will bring in Foley or summat. Just MO.

I'm sorry. Did I somehow imply otherwise? FTB asked for some info on the GWFZ. I let him know the backstory in the handbook.

My other comment was regarding people who tell other people how the game must be played. From the "It *is*" I assumed you were one of them, if I was wrong, I apologize. I wasn't sure what the * before and after is was supposed to be for.
