Where to begin?

I love Xiongmao as the singles star for the Animen...but am still not sold on DSC with a sudden face turn & entering a tag-team with Cuddley Claw. Although, I love the idea of DSC going crazy while Cuddley snoozes on the ring apron. Good story potential there. Shell Shocker is going to be fun to write as well & I can see him stealing a few Z-Division Titles in a few feds out there.

OT going solo...it is about damn time! Although he has performed at an average level in my Z, he is the singles star of the Titans...right where he belongs.

Revelation looks very solid & Stryker is going to make some serious noise...which will only add to his ego. I love the idea that the two largest egos in the fed are on on the same team. I can see the promo now, OT stirs up Pride, Stryker stirs up Morbid & Revelation finishes by summing everything up for Ensor. I like this team a lot!

I love the art for Grash, the smile really makes the card. I like the added bonus of putting his Steel Championship on the line...good story potential there.

Justin Case will be interesting to watch how people write him. He could very well be the JJ Dillon of the Four Horsemen if done correctly. At least, that is the angle I'm going to work him from.

I actually like Harm's heel turn. He wasn't cutting it as a face for me...always hurting his knee & getting frustrated. As a heel he just won't care; he will make a name for himself any way that he can. I'm not sure how getting face pops is going to sit with him though...I see him turning his back on the fans & getting super heat as a result. That is just me though.

I love the idea of Doctor Payne & Surgeon teaming. I almost did it when I first saw their cards in the original PM set but didn't because of how the feud storyline was written. I'm glad to see them together now & I think they will do well.

Narcotik joins the Rocketmen...WOW! I have to say, this is a great turn in his career.

Sledgend's pin rating improves...that is one of the most impressive changes in my opinion; totally deserved too. He is a great character that has lost one too many close matches that he would have won had his pin rating been better. Thank you!

Gallows...I like this guy a LOT! A punishing heel character...who should be able to go toe to toe with Strong...very good stuff!!

Dark Knights will be the tag-team of the year in many feds I think. Ensor never did much for me in singles, but in a tag-team with Morbid...I think that will put him over the top & put gold around his waist. I see this team breaking some heads on their way to the Titles.

The single best line in the book: "Assassin X has yet to "accidentally kill" anyone in his two years in the fed." - Frickin hilarious!!!!

GQ Stratus...I love the character & the card because I am a fan of Ric Flair. I have only one question...I thought we weren't going to see any 4(1) pin ratings in the Z-Division?

PS: I'm glad it wasn't Bridezilla. I would never have used her. GQ Stratus on the other hand will be a champion in my fed very soon.

Salvage...love the concept...love the card...love the character. I'm looking forward to writing his return to Aethra as my Gladiators are a bunch of choads. I can't wait to have Salvage walk up to Disaster & slap him across the face. Scary thing is, I think Salvage will take Disaster clean. This is a great character idea!!

Tyrro...leave it to Tim Dalton to come up with one of the coolest card mechanics of the set! I love the idea of watching this superstar grow into stardom!! This guy is really cool!! Thanks!!

That brings us to Death Club - Divine Fury - Fist Fight

Irish Bratz will give Nikki fits in their matches. It just won't happen in mine.

Ares vs. Grash feud is going to be one of my favorites I think.

I am SOOOO looking forward to Homage vs. The Messenger. I see Homage as "If you want The Legacy, you have to go through me first." Let alone being able to handle The Legacy...WOW!!! I'm excited for this!!!

I'm surprised at The Messenger being the focal point of Death Club & Nightmare Nikki being completely submissive to him. It creates a ton of potential storylines. I can't wait to see what people do with hiim in their feds.

With regard to what he will do in mine...bullet in the head...bullet in the head...bullet in the head...The Messenger vs. Divine Fury. ;D

All in all, I think this set is the best of 3...not because my character is in it, but because of how Rob tied all the storylines together into the best product of the trilogy.

Great job to all involved with this set. It is fantastic!!!

FINALLY I get to publicly review this set! This is where I get to talk about the process, changes, and the evolution of the game cards! Huge fun!!!

*The Messenger - Originally named The Saint, and having been sent down to the GWFZ by God with a "message" for all the evil doers in the Z, Tom, Brian and I tweaked the character to fit the intergalactic theme, and out came The Messenger! IMO, the most interesting card of the set, and Werner NAILED the drawing with help from a reference pic from Brian. Gotta love THE MESSAGE and it's 666 gimmick.

*Titan Pain (Revelation and Stryker) - I love this team more than I thought I would. I knew I would like them but now that I've had a chance to roll the dice with them I love them! Stryker has a real unique offense and the teams flows well. Kevin Butcher wanted to use a pic of me for Revelation, I told Werner to not make it look like me. I think he did a good job doing that while still giving Kevin the look he wanted. Stryker is based off of Mortal Combat's Johnny Cage. Originally not meant to be a tag team believe it or not, but Kevin and his son quickly realized both their ideas together was an even better idea! Real hard nosed Titan team I've always wanted in my fed and now we have them.

*Gallows - This card was basically done when Pete gave it to me. The guy knows his card rules! The first drawing from Werner looked nothing like the final. We used a pic of Bob Sapp for refereance and the end result is what you have in your hands now. A perfect compliment to Hegemony and rival to Strong! Gallows also had/has a story that makes Mark Ashby's writing look like a neily post! We didn't have room for all of it so I've asked Pete to share the story on the board once the set comes out and I hope he does!

*Shell Shocker - Another card that had lots of good ideas that we moved around resulting in the final card. Instead of having a roll option to hide in his shell we went with an all out amazing defense including a reversal on Level 3 defense! Couple that with only one down - 3 and the end result is a big problem in a little package for Johnny Rocket and his Rocket Men! I love playing this card. Super fun and hilarious move set! Tortoise and the hair pull, Turtle Hug and Turtle Soup Plex! Ha! Ryan is like ten years old and he made an official COTG card people will love forever. Who else can say that?

Grash - A personal favorite mostly because I had no idea how this thing was going to turn out and it turned out to be the best kept surprise of the set! Greg had about 9 great ideas and we managed to fit them all into one awesome, easy to play character that already appears to be a favorite of many. I also love the Grash vs. Ares feud as a tribute to Colossus vs. Heracles.

Irish Bratz - Another card that was basically done when I got it. Troy gave me a good idea of what Lisa wanted her to look like, so I found a pic of a hot adult movie star and had Werner throw some clothes on her, making her look like a super hero. True story. Werner added an awesome touch as her and Irish Heat's card art fit perfectly together as if they are hanging at the bar. You can't beat that with a shillelagh!

Salvage - Holy shit. When Andy gave me his story my jaw dropped. How freaking cool to finally have an Aethran in the GWFZ! And the potential is unlimited. You can basically look at the drawing and figure out what he's going to look like in Gladiator war paint and gear one day. Sick. Already one of my favorite guys to use as I've rolled about 4 cards now with the new guys.

G.Q. Stratus - John originally wanted to do a card of his wife, called Bridezilla. We were having a hard time fitting her into the story, and coming up with a good move set with her. So John came up with a list of his favorite real life wrestlers and at the top of that list was you know who. The end result is an alien spawned young Ric Flair! John came up with the finisher mechanic and we added PIN USING ROPES as another. Like Grash, this card appears to be a big surprise for a lot of promoters and an early favorite as best of the set!

Tyrro - I've already gushed over this card but I will do it again. The concept is brilliant, and the art is - I'm not sure there is a word for it - you see it and just say "Wow". That's what happens when Tim Dalton and Werner Meuck work together. The freedom to evolve the character at your leisure screams everything the Promoter Madness trilogy is about - you the promoter! A future top, top guy, watching this guy grow is going to be fun as hell. Also, Tim Dalton and Chad Olsen are probably the only 2 people on this planet who can work 3 playing cards into one and not mess up a single rule. You got to respect that!

Homage - My prediction to end up being the most successful guy from the set across the galaxy in promoter's feds. Had an Add - 1 and 2 finishers...pretty scary. The art is some of the most unique you will ever see from COTG and Jaron did a perfect job with the power offense! Reminds me of Bobby Lashley but maybe that's just me. I am apparently not the only one waiting to run a Homage vs. Messenger feud! I also really like his side feud with Salvage. It was only touched on, but if you think of as a guy from a war mongering race vs. a guy from a race bred to protect the galaxy, it's actually one of the biggest feuds of the fed even if it's under played now.

Justin Case - I'm going to sound biased, but I think he's already the best manager in all the feds. Here's a guy who knows his stuff as a lawyer, but no so much as a manager. But it's his brains that makes him a winner. So you get this cerebral bad ass manager who is nothing but balls to the wall entertainment at ringside. And when he does manage to lose a case or help his client(s) in a match, it's HUGE! The fact that his wallet is open to the whole fed leaves the door wide open for anyone and everyone to take his story to the the limits! I love the tie in with Harm. That was one of the last ideas that popped up and I think it ended up being one of the best.

Overall, being a part of this set meant more to me than even the first two. You would think by now I'd be used to this but the process still impresses me. Experiencing the evolution of the set from scattered ideas to the finished product is something that is hard to explain. It's almost magical in a way. Seriously. You spend months and months watching these guys start out as scribbles on paper or bullet points in and email with pictures, ideas, questions, suggestions and now I sit here and I have the playing cards in my hand and it just feels like nothing else. As every Pm winner will tell you, it's a pretty freaking bad ass feeling to have an idea in your head for so long and one day you're looking at it and it's got that 24 year old Filsinger Games Champions of the Galaxy logo on it.

So I just want to thank everyone involved, from PM1 to PM3. Thank you for letting me work on this and work with all of you.

Well, I bought all three sets and await their arrival. I'm looking forward to starting a GWFZ. Really, Totalis in the newest aCe sets is what got my interest. I love his character concept and I really want to see what else is lurking around.
