I was expecting him to get squashed both times. I figure I'll take advantage of his hot streak and hope he doesn't upset Harley Race for the belt in two weeks.

Triple Crown Wrestling Figure Four Friday - episode 53: The American Wolves vs. The Love Brothers: Hartford Love and Eddie Edwards started the match. Hartford surprised Edwards with a small package for a near fall and the Brothers took over. They scored near falls after the double slam and a double team in the corner. Edwards made a comeback and made the hot tag to Richards. Richards unloaded on the Love Brothers, nailing Reginald with the Brainbuster and scoring a near fall on Hartford with the Tombstone. Richards continued his assault, hitting two brainbusters and a shooting star press on Hartford. Richards hit the DR Driver for the win. Les Thatcher vs. Jigsaw: Thatcher dominated Jigsaw early on, scoring a near fall with the high sunset flip, but couldn't follow it up. Jigsaw hit the brainbuster for a near fall and followed it up with the leap of faith for the win. Magnum TA vs. The Missing Link: Magnum dominated Link but couldn't keep the lunatic down. Magnum scored near falls with the sleeper, the abdominal stretch, the running forearm, and the belly to belly suplex. Link made a comeback but made no move to pin Magnum, instead intent on punishing him. Magnum made a comeback and nailed Link with an atomic drop and made the cover. As he did, One Man Gang came from the crowd and got on the apron. While the referee was busy with the One Man Gang, Necro Butcher entered the ring and hit the Tiger Driver on Magnum. Butcher put Link on top of Magnum and rolled out of the ring. Link pinned Magnum for the win. After the match, Missing Link, One Man Gang, and Necro Butcher triple teamed Magnum until the American Wolves made the save. Terry Gordy vs. Roderick Strong: Strong and Gordy wrestled a back and forth match, blasting one another with stiff strikes. The match spilled out of the ring and Strong was disqualified for slamming suplexing Gordy on the time keeper's table. The Crusher vs. Larry Zbyszko: Zbyszko continued his winning ways, removing the turnbuckle pad early on and repeatedly slamming the Crusher's head into it for the win. Zbyszko has to be in line for a shot at the TCW Heavyweight title. Andre the Giant & Giant Baba vs. Masked Superstar II & King Kong Bundy: Giant Baba and Masked Superstar II started the match. After a few brutal exchanges, Baba went to tag Andre and the Giant stepped off the apron, enabling Masked Superstar II to roll Baba up for the pin. After the match, Baba left the ring and confronted Andre. Andre chopped Baba down and rolled him back into the ring. Andre the Giant, Masked Superstar II, and King Kong Bundy triple teamed Baba with Bobby Heenan looking on, laughing. The show went off the air with The Crusher charging down to the ring with a steel chair! next week: - What is going on with Andre the Giant?

Triple Crown Wrestling Figure Four Friday - episode 54: Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. Ted DiBiase & Bob Roop: The two teams set the crowd on fire with their constant back and forth action. Roop wore down London with two shoulderbreakers and tagged in DiBiase. London made a comeback and he and Kendrick used quick tags to wear DiBiase down. DiBiase made the hot tag to Roop and Roop nearly got the win with a small package on Kendrick. Kendrick and Roop battled out to the floor. DiBiase distracted the referee while Roop smashed Kendrick with a chair. London snatched the chair from Roop and planted him with it just as the referee turned around. The referee disqualified London and awarded the match to Roop & DiBiase. Bobby Heenan, Andre the Giant, King Kong Bundy, and Masked Superstar II entered the ring. Heenan said that Andre was tired of being passed up for title shots and would soon be the TCW Heavyweight champion. He told the other TCW wrestlers to watch out, because the Giants of Wrestling were gunning for the gold. Ilio DiPaolo vs. Nigel McGuinness: In his first match for Gunslinger Promotions in years, Ilio DiPaolo took the fight to McGuinness, using his power advantage to wear down the soccer hooligan. Ilio scored near falls with the Airplane Spin and the running head ram, knocking McGuinness senseless. Ilio scooped Nigel up and used the Airplane Spin a second time for the win. Les Thatcher vs. Larry Zbyszko: Thatcher and Zbyszko battled back and forth. Zbyszko missed an elbow from the top and it looked as if Thatcher would get a much needed win. Zbyszko rolled out of the ring and regained control of the match after smashing Thatcher with a chair. Zbyszko rolled Thatcher back into the ring and hit a Piledriver for the win. After the match, Zbyszko got on the mic and once again challenged the winner of tonight's main event for a shot at the TCW Heavyweight title. Magnum TA vs. Necro Butcher: Magnum dominated Butcher, wearing him down with an unusually aggressive assault. Magnum hit the atomic drop for a near fall and then nailed Necro with the belly to belly suplex. Magnum covered Necro but the Missing Link and the One Man Gang hit the ring, earning the DQ. The heels put a three way beatdown on Magnum until Nigel McGuinness and Les Thatcher came from the back to make the save. The Crusher vs. Masked Superstar II: The Crusher and Masked Superstar II fought a back and forth power-based match. Neither man could hold the advantage for long. Superstar went on a roll and had the Crusher reeling. Superstar climbed to the top rope and The Crusher moved out of the way. Crusher blasted Superstar with the Crusher Bolo but couldn't keep the big man down. Crusher went for a bodyslam but Superstar blocked it and hit the doublearm suplex for a near fall. Crusher rallied and made a comeback, nailing the Crusher Bolo for the win. After the match, The Crusher was attacked from behind by King Kong Bundy. Bundy hit an Avalanche and left the ring with Masked Superstar II. Harley Race vs. Austin Aries - TCW Heavyweight title match: Race and Aries battled back and forth. Race focused on brawling attacks, throwing off Aries' game. Race scored a near fall with the vertical suplex. Aries managed to mount a comeback but Race cut it short, throwing Aries from the top rope to the mat. Race hoisted Aries up and hit the Piledriver to retain the gold. next week: - Magnum TA vs. One Man Gang

Triple Crown Wrestling Figure Four Friday - episode 55: The Briscoes vs. Iron Sheik & Ivan Koloff (with Oliver Humperdink): Sheik and Koloff isolated Mark Briscoe and wore him down. Koloff busted Mark open with the chain and locked on the bear hug but Jay made the save. Koloff tagged in the Iron Sheik and Sheik locked on the Camel Clutch but Jay made the save once again. Sheik locked on the Camel Clutch a second time but Mark managed to crawl backward to the ropes. Sheik tagged in Koloff and Koloff locked on the bear hug a second time for the win. Harley Race was interviewed and accepted the challenge of Larry Zbyszko. Zbyszko came from the crowd and attacked Race from behind. Zbyszko piledrove Race on the TCW Heavyweight title belt and left through the crowd before security could arrive. Tyler Black vs. Les Thatcher: Thatcher kept Black grounded, ruining the high flyer's strategy. Thatcher worked on Black's neck, using the stump puller twice. Thatcher locked on the stump puller a third time for the win. Magnum TA vs. One Man Gang: Magnum and Gang battled back and forth. Magnum hit a belly to belly suplex but the Missing Link interfered, breaking up the pin. The referee ejected Link and Necro Butcher and Magnum continued his assault. Magnum hit a second belly to belly but Gang kicked out. One Man Gang made a comeback but missed the 747, enabling Magnum to hit the Belly to Belly the third time for the win. After the match, the lights went out. After a few seconds of utter darkness, there was a fireball. The lights came back on with Magnum TA writhing in the ring clutching his face. One Man Gang left the ring area with a black cloaked figure. The Crusher vs. King Kong Bundy: The Crusher tried wearing Bundy down with a bear hug early on but it had no visible effect on the big man. Crusher locked on the stomach claw but Bundy no-sold it. Bundy battled back and smashed The Crusher in the corner with the Avalanche. Bundy would have gotten the win but insisted on a five count. Crusher battled back and locked on the stomach claw for the submission victory. After the match, The Crusher got on the mic and said he was going to teach Andre the Giant a lesson for turning his back on the fans. Terry Gordy vs. Roderick Strong: Gordy took control early, mauling Strong with his roughhouse style. Gordy got the quick win with the powerbomb. The Midnight Express vs. The American Wolves - TCW Tag Team title match: The Midnight Express isolated Davey Richards early on and wore him down with the double goozle and the rocket launcher. Eaton and Lane hit a second double goozle but Edwards made the save. Lane hit two Superkicks but Richards wouldn't stay down. Richards made the hot tag to Edwards ran roughshod over the Express, scoring near falls with two dives to the outside. Edwards tagged Richards back in and Richards nailed Lane with a Saito Suplex. Richards tagged Edward back in and Edwards locked on the Achilles Lock for a near fall. Edwards and Richards hit the Superkick/German Suplex combo for a near fall. Edwards locked the Achilles Lock on Lane a second time but Eaton made the save. Edwards and Richards hit the powerbomb on the knees for the win to regain the TCW Tag Team titles. next week: - Rikidozan vs. Austin Aries

Triple Crown Wrestling Figure Four Friday - episode 56: Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. Ted DiBiase & Bob Roop: DiBiase and Roop isolated Kendrick early on. DiBiase wore Kendrick down with two Figure Four leglocks and nearly knocked him out with the loaded glove. DiBiase made the mistake of going to the top rope and Kendrick threw him to the mat before making the hot tag to London. London hit the Assisted Shooting Star on DiBiase and Kendrick followed it up with Sliced Bread #2 but Roop made the save. Kendrick tagged in London DiBiase managed to tag out to Bob Roop and Roop drilled London with the shoulder breaker but Kendrick made the save. Kendrick hit Roop with a huricanrana for a near fall and tagged in London. London hit Roop with the 450 for the win. Les Thatcher vs. One Man Gang: Thatcher surprised Gang at the opening bell and nearly took the match with a flying headscissors. Gang kicked out and Thatcher hit the flying headscissors a second time for a near fall. Gang took control, throwing Thatcher out to the floor and suplexing him on the concrete. Thatcher barely made it back into the ring in time to break the count. After battering Thatcher with some punches, Gang threw him out of the ring a second time and clotheslined him on the guardrail but again Thatcher managed to not get counted out. Thatcher made a comeback and hit a sunset flip out of nowhere for a near fall. Gang kicked out and Thatcher hit a sunset flip a second time for a near fall. Thatcher and Gang spilled out of the ring and The One Man Gang got disqualified for smashing Thatcher with a chair. After the match, Gang threw Thatcher back into the ring and climbed to the top rope for the 747 but Magnum TA came from the crowd and threw Gang to the mat. Necro Butcher hit the ring and attacked Magnum while Thatcher recovered and brawled with the One Man Gang until security arrived. Illio DiPaolo vs. Masked Superstar II: Illio whipped Superstar into the turnbuckles and Superstar nearly pinned him with a rollup. Superstar hit a double arm suplex for a near fall and hit the falling elbow drop for the win. Rikidozan vs. Austin Aries: Rikidozan ended Aries's streak of defeating Japanese legends when he mauled Aries with two barrages of thunderous chops, nearly rendering him unconscious. Rikidozan hit the hiplock for the win. The Crusher vs. Andre the Giant: The Crusher started strong, eye gouging the Giant, but couldn't take the Giant off his feet. The Crusher made the mistake of attempting a body slam and Andre took control, hitting the sitdown splash for a near fall. Andre clamped on the bear hug and the Crusher had no choice but to submit. After the match, Andre refused to break the hold, bringing out Illio DiPaolo. Andre broke the hold and attacked DiPaolo until security arrived. Harley Race vs. Larry Zbyszko - TCW Heavyweight title match: Zbyszko attacked before the bell and hit Race with everything he had but couldn't keep the champion down. Race battled back and hit Zbyzsko with a bone-jarring vertical suplex to retain the title. next week: - Ted DiBiase vs. Brian Kendrick and Bob Roop vs. Paul London

Triple Crown Wrestling Figure Four Friday - episode 57: Al Snow & D-Lo Brown vs. Iron Sheik & Ivan Koloff: Koloff and Brown started the match. Koloff hit a falling face slam for a near fall and then busted Brown open with two brutal chain shots. Koloff hit a second falling face slam but Al Snow tried to make the save and Koloff smashed their heads together and covered Brown again. Sow successfully made the save and Koloff tagged in the Iron Sheik. Brown made a comeback and made the hot tag to Al Snow. Snow smashed the Iron Sheik with head and hit the Snow Plow for a near fall. The Iron Sheik rolled Snow up after a missed turnbuckle charge for a near fall. The Iron Sheik scored a near fall with the Sidewinder Suplex and then wore Snow down with two brutal kicks with his loaded boot. After mounting a comeback, Snow smashed Iron Sheik a second time with Head and hit the huracanrana for a near fall. Snow tagged in Brown and Brown hit the Lowdown for a near fall. The Iron Sheik made a comeback and hit the powerslam on D'Lo for the win. Larry Zbyszko entered the ring and challenged Harley Race to a rematch for the TCW Heavyweight title, saying he knew he could beat Race if he had another chance. Illio DiPaolo vs. King Kong Bundy: Bundy attacked DiPaolo as he entered the ring and never let up. Bundy hit the Avalanche but DiPaolo managed to get his foot on the ropes. Bundy hit a second Avalanche for the win. Ted DiBiase vs. Brian Kendick: DiBiase and Kendrick battled back and forth. Kendrick missed a turnbuckle splash in the corner and injured his knee. DiBiase locked on the Figure Four for the win. Paul London vs. Bob Roop: London and Roop battled back and forth. Roop frustrated London with his power advantage but couldn't put London away. London hit the Oklahoma Side Roll out of nowhere for the win. Magnum TA vs. Necro Butcher: Magnum and Butcher quickly spilled out of the ring, where Necro was disqualified for smashing Magnum with the barbed wire 2x4. Necro Butcher and One Man Gang double teamed Magnum until Jerry Lynn came from the crowd and made the save. The American Wolves vs. The Midnight Express - 2/3 Falls for the TCW Tag Team titles: Eddie Edwards and Bobby Eaton started the match. Edwards locked on the Achilles Lock but Eaton escaped. Eaton left the ring and was disqualified when he smashed Edwards with a chair. The second fall began and Edwards made the hot tag to Davey Richards. The Midnight Express isolated Richards and wore him down with the Vegomatic. Lane and Eaton hit the Rocket Launcher but Edwards made the save. The Midnights wore Richards down with a second Vegomatic and a second Rocket Launcher. Richards made a comeback and nailed Eaton with two DR Drivers for near fall. Richards hit a shooting star press but Lane made the save. Richards and Edwards hit the powerbomb on the knees for a near fall. Edwards clamped on the Achilles Lock but Lane made the save. The match spilled out of the ring and Eaton was disqualified a second time for hitting Edwards with the ring bell. The American Wolves retain the titles in two straight falls. next week: - the debut of Lou Thesz

Triple Crown Wrestling Figure Four Friday - episode 58: Rob Van Dam & Sabu vs. The Briscoe Brothers: RVD and Mark Briscoe started the match. RVD quickly took Mark down and hit the Five Star Frog Splash for a near fall. RVD and Sabu hit the Rolling Thunder but Jay made the save. Sabu hit the Arabian Facebuster, busting Mark open. Sabu locked on the Camel Clutch but Mark made it to the ropes. Sabu locked on the Camel Clutch a second time but Mark made it to the ropes a second time. Sabu threw the younger Briscoe to the floor and Mark made a comeback. Mark and Jay hit the high elevation hip toss for a near fall. Mark hit a crossbody from teh top for a near fall. The Briscoes hoisted Sabu up and hit the doomsday device but Sabu managed to kick out. Sabu made a comeback and hit the Arabian Facebuster for a near fall. Sabu hit Air Sabu for the win. Lou Thesz vs. Mr. X: Thesz spun X in an airplane spin and then put him away with the Thesz Press for an easy win. Harley Race answered Larry Zbyszko's challenge, saying he'd be glad to beat Zbyszko a second time, with or without the TCW Heavyweight title on the line. Brian Kendrick vs. Bob Roop: Roop and Kendrick battled back and forth. Roop stopped Kendrick in his tracks with a shoulder breaker but it wasn't enough to put Kendrick away. Kendrick mounted a comeback and once again Roop stole Kendrick's momentum with a shoulder breaker. Roop ollowed it up with two more shoulder breakers for the win. Ted DiBiase vs. Paul London: DiBiase planted London with two loaded glove shots right off the bat. The woozy London was easy prey for a crossbody from the top but managed to kick out. DiBiase hit the loaded glove a third time for the win. Jerry Lynn vs. Necro Butcher: Lynn out-wrestled Butcher for the first half of the match and looked to be on his way to victory when he hit the German Suplex. The One Man Gang entered the ring, breaking up the count. Lynn knocked Gang out of the ring with a dropkick and dove through the ropes with a suicide dive. Necro recovered and attacked Lynn from behind, powerbombing him on the concrete. Lynn broke the count and Necro threw him out to the floor a second time and hit a DDT. Lynn, a bloody mess, managed to break the count. Necro threw Lynn out of the ring a third time and hit him with the barbed wire 2x4, drawing the DQ. After the match, Necro Butcher, One Man Gang, and the Missing Link attacked Lynn until Magnum TA and Les Thatcher hit the ring, evening the odds until security arrived. Andre the Giant vs. Illio DiPaolo: DiPaolo took the fight to the Giant but Andre was too much for him. Andre took DiPaolo down and went for the big splash but DiPaolo moved out of the way! DiPaolo body slammed Andre to the delight of the crowd. DiPaolo tried to whip Andre into the ropes but the Giant reversed it and squashed DiPaolo with a sitdown splash. DiPaolo kicked out and Andre hit him with the Big Splash for the win. Andre, Masked Superstar II, and King Kong Bundy worked over Illio DiPaolo until The Crusher and Bryan Danielson arrived. The six men battled as the show went off the air. next week: - London & Kendrick vs. DiBiase & Roop - #1 contenders match
