I used this rule for my USWA fed over the weekend, when Bobby Eaton and Brutus Beefcake wrestled in separate singles bouts. Eaton rolled his Double Goozle several times and I would have him re-roll down to Level 2 Offense. He still ended up winning over Masked Superstar, but I think the rolling down a level kept the match going longer and gave him less chance to hit the Alabama Jam. I'm going to continue using this rule on future cards and see if it makes a bigger difference.

OK, I got it. I did something similar before. Using the following grid:
Level 3 Tag Move = Level 2 Singles Move 3 Add 1 = 3 0 or +1 finisher = Add 1 +2 Finisher = 0 Finisher +3 Finisher = +1 Finisher ...etc.

Using the following grid: Level 3 Tag Move = Level 2 Singles Move 3 Add 1 = 3 0 or +1 finisher = Add 1 +2 Finisher = 0 Finisher +3 Finisher = +1 Finisher ...etc. That's not a bad idea, Todd. But I prefer the other option. My only thing is that with a guy like Hawk or Bobby Eaton, who have already a "substitute" move for the tag finisher/move written on the card, it allows a variety of ratings for the individual move, and not a "set rule". For example, Eaton's ALABAMA JAM is a (+1), coming from a tag finisher of (+3). While Hawk's FLYING CLOTHESLINE is a (0) (on the revised card), while the DOOMSDAY DEVICE is a (+4). It should depend on the individual wrestler and his move(s).
