Hey guys,
I know a few of you have received the cards for POW 2124, but have not received the handbook yet. The handbook and trainer charts will be sent out tonight. I'm sure you will like them!
I will post here when they go out incase someone's email has a problem receiving them.

Is POW now fully going MMA style ? Now that handbooks, cards, and charts are getting out to people, I thought it would be a good time to clarify the future direction of the POW. As stated during the Q&A at GalactiCon and in various conversations over the weekend, given that we as a creative team want to distinguish POW from the GWF and have the fed be seen as more than just a secondary wrestling league, our goal is to build POW up as the premier promotion for MMA. To that end, following the 2125 edition, the writing and overall creative direction for the fed will be as if it were exclusively an MMA fed. That means more emphasis on individual character development and less on overarching dramatic storylines a la Dr. Barnabas and Thayne/Jardiil. This isn't to say that there won't be drama and animosity among certain characters, but that the days of three-set storylines are done. Now... Bearing that in mind, we do realize that there are those who don't want to see the wrestling side of things go away. And for those people, we want you to know that we fully intend to support wrestling cards for all characters in pdf form. That means that you can still play the POW as a wrestling fed (or as both formats) should you choose to. Just bear in mind that the storylines will largely be "up to you, promoter!" But we know that as creative a bunch as you guys are will have no problem coming up with great angles for the men and women who populate the POW ring. Hopefully you can understand why we felt this move was necessary. Basically, we feel that it's better to blaze a new trail than to just continue being GWF Lite. We also hope that someday the MMA format we've brought to COTG will spread out to new fans who aren't into pro wrestling and wouldn't find out about the COTG-verse otherwise. Thanks for reading, and we hope you're enjoying Prophecy 2124!
