Note: This guide is also accessible directly from the CAC screen on COTGonline.
Creating a COTG card is something that Promoters have been doing for as long as the game has existed. There are rules to the creation process that can be found here...
Once you've purchased a pack of Create-a-Character Cards, you'll be able to design your own COTG digital wrestler card from scratch OR edit an existing official COTG character in your digital card collection!
There are two parts to character creation:
Edit is where you enter all the cards information including character name, vital stats, moves, special notes, and bio.
Choose Image allows you to select a piece of art for your Create-a-Character digital card from a pool of original stock art or art from your collection of official COTG characters.
At the bottom of the Edit page, you'll notice the ability to Clone Another Wrestler. This tool allows you to select an existing COTG character in your digital card collection and with the click of a button, fill out the Edit screen with that characters stats. From there you can tweak the information as you desire and even select new art of the character.
Note: Cloning a character does NOT affect the official version of the character whatsoever.
Formatting Offensive and Defensive Moves Properly
With the new Create-a-Character system, you are allowed to enter, edit, and delete whatever information you want on the Edit screen. Since all CAC digital cards are fully compatible with all aspects of COTGonline, the information entered will display in the Game Table and Gallery...HOWEVER if you wish for your CAC digital card to work properly with the Play-by-Play Simulator, all information must be formatted properly.
IF A CARD IS NOT FORMATTED EXACTLY AS IT SHOULD BE, SIMULATED MATCH RESULTS INVOLVING THAT CARD WILL NOT BE ACCURATE.
For best reference, always refer to official COTG character card backs when in doubt. Also feel free to cut and paste examples from this page onto your card Edit screen and adjust accordingly.
Here are some guidelines and sample moves:
OFFENSE
* Offensive moves must always be entered as: move name, space, dash, space, number
Ex: forearm smash - 1
* Power and Agility moves must always be entered as: move name, space, dash, space, number, space,(pw) OR move name, space, dash, space, number, space,(ag)
Ex: spinebuster slam - 2 (pw)
Note: (ag) and (pw) must always be lowercase letters and be enclosed in parenthesis
* Chart moves must always be entered as: into the ropes, into the turnbuckle, out of the ring, deathjump
Note: these instructions must always be in lowercase letters
* Choice moves must always be entered as: move name, space, dash, space, number, space,(ch A) OR (ch B) OR (ch C) etc.
Ex: swinging DDT - 3 (ch E)
Note: 'ch' must always be in lowercase letters while the 'choice letter' must be an Uppercase letter. There must be a space between the 'ch' and the 'choice letter' and both must be enclosed in parenthesis.
* Finishing moves must always be entered as: move name, space,(+#)
Ex: CETUS MASTERLOCK (+1) or GRECIAN SLEEPER GRIP (0)
Note: Finisher ratings must be entered as a number preceded by the + sign, unless the number is 0. There should be no space between the + and the number. It is not necessary that the finisher name is in all CAPS, although it's recommended for COTG continuity purposes.

* The leave the ring option on defense must always be entered as: down,space,dash,space,3,space,(lv)
Ex: down - 3 (lv)
* Pins must always be entered as: PIN,space,#,space,(#)
