I just wanted to comment on the current Omni/Odyssey storyline from the All Centra Entertainment 'New Beginnings' style set. One word: Fantastic! The storyline concept that the 'split' happens when one of them captures the Essence and due to that each has stayed in the federation to make sure the other version of themselves doesn't take the Essence and erase their own future (i.e. Omni watches Odyssey to make sure Odyssey doesn't erase Omni's future and vice versa) is a very good concept and can lead to some serious feud issues (heck, a side story could be them splitting up and leading factions to war against each other saying that their future is the better one!)

So what happens if they win the Tag Essence? I wasn't clear about that from the handbook. One wins the singles Essence = bad for both.....same apply for Tag?

I imagine it's the singles essence that causes it. If they both win the tag essence, things are still balanced.....

They way its gonna go for me is that if one holds the essence and one doesn't... poof.

That's what I suspected too, but wasn't sure....and for storyline purposes, I guess I'll go with The Others being unsure at first too -- because I had them pull out of the tag-team title tournament for fear of the tag Essence bringing about their end.

I have big plans for them, I'm just a little nervous about having one or the other go poof in story, and having the 'official' story go the other way.
I'm all for doing my own thing, but if you get too far off the track it can be hard to maintain, ya know?

If you play up the sci-fi enough and this happens, you could have everyone think it's Omni and it really be Odyssey or vice versa. That'd explain this happening and allow one of them major heat for fooling everyone after the Other vanishes. |

Yeah, that'd prolly work.. its kinda swervy for my booking taste, but it would work.. I plan on having it not happen, really, but OTOH, both guys are pretty good, so I like to be prepared  |
