This fed will be a bunch of bootlegs from here on the board, I am ordering a couple of the original sets after the first of the month, some of the COtG original cards, and a slef made card thrown in here and there. Jerry Jones has bought out Fritz Von Erich and Bil watts, and our Promotion will run shows in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisana and of course Arkansas. The overall concept is that Vince decided to work within the system asnd created WWF Territories. Verne has done the same. We will go into how and why Jerry has bought World Class in our Television Show. The flagship Television Show, World Class Championship Sports, will air live on Thursday nights on Fox Sports Southwest and will air around the contry on the vsarious Fox Xports affiliates the same as other Wrestling shows, mainly NWA shows. Every Champioship Sports braodcast will promote a house show for the coming Saturday. That will be the major show. In our UNiverse, at least for now, Pay Per View Events are done on a nationwide basis and participating offices contribute matches to the show. Is Jerry going to like that model? We'll see! ENpugh of this kinda of background, in the words of a famous man, "Let the good times roll<' He said it in English because I can't spell in French!!!

It is the Saturday after Thanksgiving. A special sports Presentation Comes on Fox Sports Southwest at 7 pm Central. The Show Opens with three men sitting at an anchor desk. The back ground is ddecorated like a wretling/boxing ring. The blond man sitting screen left speaks: RR: Hello everybody! Rick Renner with you this evening on this very special presentation on Fox Sports Southwest. This is the Priemere episode of World Class Championship Sports, the next big thing in professional wrestling. This is the first time we have forayred into the world of professional wrestling here on Fox Sports Southwest. And we are excited to be part of this great up and coming promotion, that undoubtably will explode onto the scene and change the landscape of professional wrestling forever. WHen you think of innovation in soprts there is only one man that should come to your mind, he is the new owner of World Class Championship Wrestling Association, Oh, yeah, by the way he owns a little football team knowen as the Dallas Cowboys as well,a man that really needs no introduction Mr. Jerry Jones.
After the obligitory niceities Renner asks :
RR: Jerry, why professional wrestling, why World Class Championship Wrestling?
JJ: Rick , it's pretty simple. I thrive on competition and there is no more pure competition that pro wrestling and pro football. Both of these great sports are man versus man, one-on-one competition. The difference is in pro wrestling there are NO excuses. You cna't blame the coach for a bad call on thired and six, or you can't blame your teammate for missing thier block, or dropping the pass or missing the tackle. If you don't do your job in the ring, you only have yourself to blame and you are the only one that looses. World Class gives me the best opportunity to compete on the "Corporate" level if you will. You see Rick there are really three wrestling "leagues", if you will, in the United States. There is the American Wrestling Association and they have several offices or promotions across the country. Mostly in the Midwest. Then there is the World Wrestling Federation, they also have several offices across the country, but they are based in the Northeast. i believe thier headquarters are in Stanford, Conneticut I believe. Then there is the National Wrestling Association. The NWA is the oldest and most widely recognized wrestling league in the United States and the World. The former owner of World Class, were at one time a member of the NWA, but they broke affiliation with the NWA earlier this year. Just after they broke their affiliation with the NWA I attended the big, yearly card, that the WWf puts on every year, they callit Wrestlemania. I was a guest of the man that is the driving force behind the WWF a young man named Vincent K McMahon Jr. He invited me to Wrestlemania and wined and dined me trying to get me to invest in his promotion. I fell in love Rick. I am not going to lie. It is the biggest most entertaining night I've ever experienced. It is right on the same level as owning the Cowboys, now when we get to the Super Bowl and win it I think you know what will be more exciting, but this was incredible. I was sold on the whole world of professional wrestling, except for one fact. Whyy would I invest the kind of money Vince and I were talking about and not get to be the boss. When I made my investment into buying the Dallas Cowboys, I am not going to lety someone from the outside be in charge of that much of my money.
RR: It wouldn't make any sense.
JJ: No, it wouldn't make any sense at all. Beside all of the advantages the Meteroplex and some other surrounding areas, that we will talk about later in the program, made Dallas just the perfect place to have a wrestling promotion. So I investigated the landscape and amde the former owner of World Class agreat offer.
RR: That was legendary wrestler and a man that was a fabulous football player at Southern Methodist University Jack Adkisson, better known as Fritz Von Erich, the Master of the Iron Claw.
JJ: Indeed Rick Fritz had owned the promotion for several years and had made it one of the most successful affiliates of the NWA for literally decades, but as I mentioned, Fritz and the NWA Board of Directors got crossways over a couple of rules interpretations, and World Class wound up pulling out of the NWA. I decided the NWA needed to have a presence in Dallas. And I plan on taking World Class back to the top of the league, just like I plan on taking the Cowboys back to the top of the National Football League. RR: World Class is not the only acquisition you amde you also purchased the rights to another promotion that was still a part of the NWA.
JJ: I sure did Rick. Growing up in Arkansas, that is where I first got interested in professional wrestling and I love the land and people of Arkansa almost as I do the people of Texas. You can't very well have an NFl team in Arkansa, but ther is plenty of room to have a wrestling promtion there, so I also approached another legendary wrestler "Cowboy" Bill Watts who owned a promoition known as Mid South Championship Wrstling which promoted wrestling in Arkansas, Louisiana , Mississippi, and Alabama, and Oklahoma. I bought the rights to Arkansas, Oklahoma and Louisiana and merged those areas under the banner of World Class Championship Wrestling.
RR: Wow!! As if the Lone Star State wasn't big enough, you go and add thye Bayou, the Hills and Oklahoma!! What a coup!!!
JJ: You've said a mouthful there Rick. The purchase of Mid South is the reason I hired this man, truth be told, he is one of the reasons I purchased Mid South Championship Wrestling, the mand to my left is Mister Jim Ross. Jim was the voice of Mid South Wreslting for several years and is known around the world as one of, if not the best, wrestling annopuncer in the world today.
JR: Thank you Mr. Jones, those are very kind words indeed.
JJ: As kind as they may sound they are the truth, especially the part where I talked about hiring you being one an essential part of the dealo. Nobody knows more abut Mid South Wrestling than you.
JR: We ahve been blessed an fortunate to hav ehad a long and fruitful association with Bill Watts and Mid SOuth Wrestling, which was , no offense to World Class fans, one of the top promotions in the NWA and the entire world. We have had some of the greatest wrestlers bless Mid South rings for several years, and it has been m,y priviledge to call some of the greatest matches and see some of the world's greatest professional wrestlers for several years.
RR: Jerry, Jim Ross is not the only member of Mid SOuth Wrestling you have brought into World Class.
JJ: No Rick it's not. Bill Watts is on the World Class Board of Directors, he son Joel Watts is going to be a major player in our production department, thier senior referee Tommy Gilbert will be one of our top referees, and we will see several of the top talents that have been wrestling for Mid South Championship Wrestling now wrestling for World Class.
JR: You are exactly right Jerry over the next several weeks we will see former North American Heavyweight Champions, Junk Yard Dog, and Adrian Adonis, who jheld the belt at the time of the merger. We will also see former Tag Team Champions, the RoadWarriors, The Midnight Express, Ricky MOrton and Robert Gibson. These are some of the top names in the world of professional wreslting.
JJ: There don't be deeived there is a lot of World Class talent that will be in the mix as well. Abdullah the Butcher and his manger Gary Hart, Buddy Jack Robertys one of the Fabulous Freebirds, and of Course the always popular, the outstanding Von Erich boys, Kevin, David, Kerry and Mike.
RR: But there are numerous other wrestlers from across the NWA, AWA WWF, and the rest of the world that are negotiating with World Class at this present time.
JJ: Once again, you are absolutley correct Rick. Ther are some of the greatest names in the professional wreslting business that we are in negotiations with as we are attempting to sign the greatest roster of professionla wrestlers the business has ever seen, and we want to bring them to the Metroplex and the entire World Class territory.
JR: TRhose great names, those great wrestlers will be engagin in the chase for one of the most prestigious regional titles in teh history of the NWA, the American Heavyweight Championship. Such outstnading athletes such as The Von Erichs , Fritz, Waldo, David, KEvin, KErry have all held that important Championship. So have legends like Johnny and Greg Valentine, Duke Keomuka, Chris Adams, Jimmy Garvin, Killer Karl Kox, you name one of the most importnat people in the history of professional wrstling and odds are thewy hav ebene American HEavyweight Champion.
RR: Thirty-two of the greatest names in the world of professional wrestling will be competing in a tournament to fill the vacant American Heavyweight Championship.
JJ: And as a special treat to the great pro wreslting fans across the World CLass area and Fox Sports Southwest viewing area we will be bringing you video of all thirty-two contestants. Over the next four weeks we will bring you the greatest action in the world of professional wreslting all leading up to the special four-day tournament to fill the American Heavyweight Championship.
JR: Indeed Jerry A special four-day tournament willbe held the first week in January to crown a new American HEavyweight Champion. There will be one stop in each of the four states Woreld Class Championship Wretling promotes in. Friday, January 6 we will be in Little Rock, Arkansas; Saturday the 7th we will be in New Orleans Louisiana for day two of the first round.
RR: Thesecond round will be held in the Myriad in Oklahoma City on Sunday January eight.
JJ: And the quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds will be televised right here on Fox Sports Southwest, on Monday January ninth from thre AMerican Airline Center in Dallas, Texas.
RR: When we return we will preview the first enterants in the World Class American Chamionship TOurnament.

RR: WElcome Back to our Special Edition of World Class Championship Sports here on Fox Sports Southwest. WE will now take a look at the 32 men who have entered into the Tournament to Crown the fisr World Class American Heavyweight Cahmpion. I am Rick Renner and I have been joined by the new owner of World Class Championship Wrestling Mr. Jerry jones and the man who will be charged with the play-by-play duties for World Class Championship Sports MR. Jim Ross.
JR: Jerry I know that one of the advantages World CLass has is an owner that is not afraid to invest money into talent the fans across the World Class territory want to see and that begins with the men you have contracted with to participate in this tournament.
JJ:I like the way you phrased that JIm. We are investing in the talent our fans want to see. And we are a business and we do, think our fans will be happy with the product we put in the ring week-in, week-out.
RR: The first talented individual we are going to take a look at in action is "Polish Power" Ivan Putski.
JR: Ivan Putski is one of the strongest men entered in this tournament Rick. He is stocky and pack s a lot of poer into that Polish Hammer. Ivan may not have had the most success of anybody in this tournament and he made be nearing the end of his career, but he is still a crowd favorite whereever he goes.\
RR: He is a look at Polish POwer in action, courtesy of South Atlantic Championship Wrestling.
"POLISH POWER" IVAN PUTSKI def JOe Mirto in a squash, getting the job done with POLISH HAMMER.
JJ: Putski could be a handful for anybody, especially when he drops the Polish Hammer on his opponents.
RR: I sure wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that hammer. Next up we look at Ivan Putski's opponent in the first round of the AMerican HEavyweight Championship tournament. Adrian Adonis. Jim after a stint in another organization that was rather unflattering for Adonis, Adrian is getting back into shape and is proving how tough he really is.
JR: Indeed Rick. Adrain Adonis is one of the toughest individuals I've ever seen in the squared circle. BAck home in OKlahoma we would say he is as tough as a $2 steak. Watch this clip from Windy City Wrestling and you'll see exactly what we mean. Afterwards we will hear from Mr. Adonis.
ADRIAN ADONIS amkes very short work of the Windy City Warrior, putting him away with GOOD NIGHT IRENE.
AA: Dallas, Texas you brag about how things are bigger and badder there than anywhere else in the world. Well I grew up in Hell's Kitchen, New York. WE didn't call it Hell's Kitchen because we had more Sunday School Socials than any other neighborhood. You couldn't help but be tough if you grew up there and I was the toughest. So all you wanne-be Cowboys and cow punchers and desperados line up because I'm coming to town and takiong the American Heavyweight Championship as my prize. Remember evenb you Texans can remeber you spell Wrestling A-D-O-N-I-S!
JR: Adonis is avery confident competitor and like we said, he is "un-rounding" back into shape if you will, and he could make a lot of noise in teh American Heavyweight Championship Tournament.
JJ: It makes me sad to see other organizations almost ruin a man's career, by asking him to be something he really isn't . You won't see that type of thing here in World Class. We are all about competition here and Adrian Adonis is a greeat comptitor. I think he really means it when he calls out "good Night Irene" I thnk the lights go out for whoever gets caught in that move.
RR:When we return after this commercial break we will look at some of the most legendary names in Lone Star State Wrestling history that will be involved in the tournament for the AMerican Title.
RR: WElcome back to Fox SPorts Southwest and World Class Championship Sports, as we take a look at the men who are entered in the 32-man tournament for the American HEavyweight Championship. You can't talk about wrestling in the Lone Star State or Louisiana, Oklahoma, or Arkansas with out talking about some of the greatest names in the history of the business and we are going to see the progineny of many of those names competing in thes tournament.
JR: Dory Funk Senior almost single-handedly started professional wreslting in the Texas Panhandle and West Texas. Both of his sons Dory Funk Junior and Terry Funk have been forunate enough to reach the pinnalce f the sport, they hav eboth held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, the only brother duo to ever do so. Terry Funk has had a stellar carre, and shows no signs of letting up. The self-proclaimed "Middle Aged and Crazy" Funk wants to add the American HEavyweight Championship to the long, adn distinguished list of Championships he has held, hoping to use it as a stepping stone bnack to the NWA World's Heavyweight Championship , currently held by the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Here is a clip form sister NWA Aaffiliate promotion Central States Championship Wrestling.
TERRY FUNK destroys Spike Huber. Funk had the youngster in positiyon to be pinned several times but refused to do so, instead choosing to apply more punishment. After the match ends Funk adds to Huber's embeassment by bringingn in a rope and hog tying him in the middle of the ring.
JJ: I'm not going to lie to you, that guy scares me. I believe him when he calls himself "Middle Aged and Crazy", especially the crazy part. I don't understand how someone who has been in the wreslting business as long as he has been is able to continually punish his own body as well as his opponent bodies that way.
RR: Here are some pre-recorded comments from the man who runs the Double Cross Ranch.
TF: Jerry Jones, I hope you open up your Daddy Warbuck's wallet and go out and find the toughest (Censored) 's you can, because that's who I want in the ring. I wnat to taske them and cripple them and then castrate them like we castrate the calves on the Double Cross Ranch. We do that because they don't need their (cnesored) no more. Neither will anyone you put in the ring against me. Especially if it's one of those egg-sucking dog Von Erich boys. I'll take a lot of joy in stringing them up and cutting their....
VTR ends.
RR: we had to end that interview right ther as Mr. Funk got a little more graphic than what we are comfprtable with here on Fox Sports Southwest.
JR: Rick for your sake, and our viewers sakes, I hope your guys int he truck have some of the quickest trigger fingers in television, becasue I have a feeling there will be many uncomfortable moments courtesy of Mr Funk and Jerry some of those will happen for a lot of the opponents Terry Funk will face in the ring.
JJ: I will tel you agian that guy scares me and he really is one of the toughest people I've ever met in my life. If he is anywhere nearly as competitive in the ring as he is in the negotiating room then there are a lot of people that need to be scared.
RR: Some of the folks that will undoubtably get into the ring with Terry Funk during his stay her ein World Class Championship Wrestling, but I doubt will be very scared will be another family of Texas wrestling legends, you heard "Terrible" Terry call them out by name, the fabulous Von Erich Brothers.
JR: If you have ever seen a wrestling event in the state of Texas you have heard of the legendary Von Erich family. Currently there are four brothers competing in the squared circle and all of them and I mean all of them have the potentyial to carry the NWA World Title. Kerry Von Erich has befeated Rick Flair for the richest prize in professional Wrestling when his brother missed a scheduled OWrld Title MAtch due to acute intestinitis while on tour in Japan. David recovered ut not too long afterward World Class pulled out of the National Wreslting Alliance and the opportunities have not been there for any of the Von Erichs to recapture the gold. That changes now that World Class and Jerry Jones has returned to the fold, and Ric Flair and his NWA Championship are in the cross hairs of these four brothers.
RR; we have a special feature as the beautiful young lady who will be our back stage reporter for all World Class events Emily Jones caught up with the Von Erichs at their Dallas County Ranch.
EJ: WE have indeed caught up to four of the most popular, dynamic, stars that will grace the ring in World Class Wrestling, Kevin, David, Kerry and Mike, Von Erich. Kerry you have been to the top and you have held the NWA World Championship, that has got to be the ultimate.
Kerry: The Ultimate feeling of that victory Emily was winning that for the great fans in the state of Texas and most importantly my brother Dave. It was supposed to be his match and his time to shine, I know he would hav ebeaten Ric Flair that day, but he was sick adn had to ahve some surgery, so it was my priviledge to be the first Von Erich to hold the most importnat championship in teh world, but mark my words all four of us, and even our little brother Chris will hold that belt.
EJ: David, is there any animosity or hard feelings that Kerry got to win the Championship while you were on the shelf and then World Class pulled out of the NWA and you ddin't get your chances.
DVE: No Emily there is no animosity. WE're family, adn it doesn't get any closer than the Von Erich clan. I could never have been any prouder of Kerry than that day he whipped Ric Flair in the middle of the ring in Texas Stadium. My dad made the best decision he could for the wreslting fans of texas and World CLass wrestling when he pulled oput of the NWA. That's what happens when you ahve a sniveling coward like Ric Flair running around with the World's Title. There can be no honor ans respect in that and when a Von Erich holds that belt, and trust me we all will, likE Kerry said, we will restore honor to the NWA World Title.
Kevin: First things one of us has to win the American Heavyweight Championship and Championship the three olest of us have held and a Championship our dad raised to a level, that makes the American HEavyweight Champion the number one contender to the NWA Title. We are here to bring World Class back t that level of repsect and prestige and winning the American Title will do that.
MVE:My brothers and my dad are the best trainers ever in the sport of professional wreslting and they have me to a point where I feel ready tro compete in the American Championship Tournament and I will NOT let them down.
EJ: Has anyone given any thought to what will happen iof the American HEavyweight Championship comes down to two of you competing in the ring?
All four boys lok at each other and with a mischevious grin thaey all attack each other in a way trhat brothers do.
Ej: WEll< I guess that answers that. ( EJ has do jump out of the way as David tossed Mike at her feet). For World Class Championship Sports and Fox Sports Southwest I'm Emily Jones (Jsut as she signs off, Kevin andf Kerry execute a football tackle on EJ and carry her off)
RR: WEll it looks like Emily will have her hands full trying to getr away fr0om the Von Erich boys. And Jerry Boys will be Boys.
JJ: They will be Rick and I can only hope all the boys in the Owlrd Classs locker room act like those Von Erich boys!
RR; We'll be back with more previrew after this commercial break.

RR: We're back with our final segemnt of the week, adn we take a look at one more legendary wrestling family that made it's name in the Lone Star State, we are talking about the Blanchard family, in particular Tully Blanchard.
JJ: Tully's father, Joe Blanchard, is on the W#orld Class Board of Directors just as Bill Watts and Fritz Von Erich are.
JR: "The Superbrat" as he has been known in the past is on his way to WOrld Class and he definately has the creentials to do that. He is a multiple time UNited States and World Television Champion, as well as multiple time holder of the NWA World Tag Team Title, with another man who is from the lineage of a legnedary wrestling family ,"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Anderson is also entered in the American Heavyweight Championship Tournament.
RR: WE are going to see these two superstars in tag action even though they will be completing indivdiually in the AMerican Title Tournament. From Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrstling her eis Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard against Jay Youngblood and "War Eagle "Chris Chavis.
It is a back and forth match, with Tully and Arn hitting simultaneous Spinebuster and slainshot suplex for the win. Afterward, Blanchard and Anderson are standing in a studio with Bob Caudle and RIc Flair.
TB: I got a call asking me to come back to Texas and then, after I quit laughing Jerry Jones opened his wallet and we got down to business. Jones told me how much money I could make as American HEavyweight Champion and "Slick" Ric here told me how much I could earn making sure he never had to go back to Texas. I thought to my self, that's a lot of Cervezas and Senoritas, SO I told Jerry jones that I would bring some class back to Texas.
AA: Tully's right. It's all about the bread. The Cold Hard cash that Jerry jones and Ric Flair can put in my pocket, adn the pieces of scum I get to hurt, Hell Yeah, it's a done deal!!!
RF: Jerry Jones, you want to amek money off the Nature Boy's back by crawling abck to the NWA, well Pal, the Champ isn't real big of letting bygones, be bygones, and If Double A and Tully want to earn a little extra cash by taking care of business in Texas and World Class then the Champ is going to make sure, they ahve the resoources they need to succeed!! Wooo!
RR: Some Strong words from all threee men there Tully Blanchard, Arn ANderson, adn evne the NWA AWOrld HEavyweight Champion Ric Flair.
JR: Ric those three men are known for doing more than just using strong words. They usually get what they want and it seems they want the American HEavyweight Championhip in their fold.
JJ: Blanchard aand ANfderson are definately tough competitors, but trust me and mark my words (as he points to the camera) Ric Flair will not be able to hide behind anybody. I usually get what I want too.
RR: That does it for our premiere episode of World Class Championship Sports : Special Edition. We will be back next Saturday night here on Fox Sports southwest as we continue to look at the men entered in the American Heavyweight ChampionsipmTOurnament January 6-9. Until next week I'm Rick Renner saying so long, for Emily Jones, Jim Ross, and Jerry Jones. We'll see you next week. (ENd of Special Edition #1)

Rick Renner is seated at stage right, with two other men in sports coats seasted to his left.
RR: Welcome to World Class Championship Sports Special Edition number two here on Fox Sports Southwest. Last week we looked video of eight of the thirty-two men that are entered in the American HEavyweight Championship Tournament. Today we will meet eight more men who will compete in the tournament to name the new American Heavyweight Champion. But bfore we go any further let me intorduce the gentlemen who will co-host the next two hours with me this evening to my far left, he is the play-by-play television voice of the new World Class Championship Sports program which will air on Thursday nights here on Fox Sports Southwest, Mister Jim Ross. The "man in the middle" is an appropriate name for our other co-=host because he is always in the middle of the most exciting things going on in sports, regardless of the sport, owner of World Class Championship Wrestling Jerry Jones. Jerry some strong words form Nationla Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair to close last week's program.
JJ: Rick you are right. Mister Flair came on this program and all but admitted that he is paying two of his business associates, Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson to come to WOrld CLass and protect him by winning the Americna Heavyweigh Championship. Well, if they can do that then good for them. That means one of them will have gone through 31 of the toughest hombres in the world of professional wrestling to accomplish that feat. I fthey think they won't do what I and the World CLass Board of Directors tell them to they will have wasted that effort becasue we will strip themof any Championships they hold, fine them adn possibly even fire them. And a word of warning to Mister Flair, if you thik you ahve the "stroke" as they say to hide and get around the Americna HEavyweight Champion and World CLass Championship Wrestling, just remember money tlaks and ... other things walk.
RR: With that let's get on wiht the action. Jim, last week we saw Blanchard and Anderson as a tag team that will be competing individually in the tournament, as we open the show this week we see two other wrestlers who ar emore known as "tag team wrestlers" competing in theis tournament.
JR: Indeeed we do first we see a man that was one half of the the final Mid-South Tag Team Champions wiht his long time tag team partner in the Rock and Roll Express, Robert Gibson, the exciting Ricky Morton.
VTR: Ricky Morton defeats the unpredictable Missing Link with General Skandor Akbar in his corner. Morton uses a high crossbody block to defeat the link after a missed headsmash in the corner.
RR: EMily Jones is in the Fox Sports Studio with Ricky Morton and RObert Gibson, the Rock and Rooll Express.
EJ: Thanks Rick I am with the Rock and Roll Express and my first question is for Ricky, why enter the American Heavyweight Championship Tournament as an individual when you and RObert have been so successful as a tag team.
RM: Emily it's real simple. I love Robert like a brother . WE have been up and down the road together for many years, adn there is nothing I wouldn't do for him we are family. But it has been a while since I ahve held singles gold and I need to prove to myself that I am still at the top of my game as an individual.
EJ: Robert does this signal the end of the Rock adn Roll Express?
RG: No way Emily!!!! THe ROck and ROll is here to stay. Ricky and I will always be together. SOme bands break up like the beatles, or the Eagles, butr family is forever and Ricky and I are family. We will be in the tournament for the AMerican tag team tournament.
RM: That is if I don't win the American Heavyweight Championship. RG: I( stand Corrected but if you do win that belt just remember tha tI will be ther ebehind you cheering you on the entire time brother.
The two men shake hands and send out their signature "I Love You" sign to Gibson's mother.
Back to desk JR: Those two men have bothe held singles titles Jerry, Robert has been the Continental Junior Heavyweight Champion and Ricky Morton ahs been the Junior Heavyweight Champion here in Texas for Joe Blanchard's promotion.
JJ: They are definately exciting as a tag team and we will see them as a tag team here in World Class, but Ricky Morton has the potential to ride the momentum all the way to the American Championship and maybe even the NWA World Title.
RR:WE gho from one great individuakl in a successful tag team to another. Road Warrior Hawk and his partner Animal are argubly one of the toughest most successful tag teams in the history of the sport of professional wrestling.
JR: Rick the Road Warriors have held the NWA World Tag Team Championships more times than I can count, as well as holding the American Wreslting Association and World Wrestling Federation WOrld tag titles. They ar eabout as legitmate as you can get and Hawk is undobtly one of the most feared atheltes in the entire world of professional Wrestling.
JJ: I am not going to lie. I love the Road Warriors Jim. They remind me of myself and Jimmy Johnson when we were running around on the UNnversity of Arkansas football team. Were were the two roughest toughst son of ...a guns around and nobody messed with us. Nobody messes with Road Warriors either.; I really like Hawk, he probly reminds me of myslef more, especially the hair.
Both Ross and Rennare are stunned and dumbfounded. They sit ther contemplating what Jerry Jones has just said.
JJ: Let's go to the tape and watch Hawk courtesy of our sister promotion Georgia Championship Wreslting.,
HAWK demolishes Pat Rose with a top rope clothesline in just around three minutes.
JJ: That was fun I told ya, nobody messes with the Road Warriors, nobody messes with Jerry Jones, nobody messes with thet Dallas Cowboys!!! That was fun!
Renner still has a confused look on his face.
RR; When we come back we will meet more competitors in the AMerican Championship TOurnament, here on Fox Sports Southwest.

RR: WElcome back to World Class Championship Sports : Special Edition I'm Rick Renner along with Jim Ross and World Class owner Jerry Jones. Fellas, we are about to see an individual that the fans in WOrld Class are more than familiar with.
JR: Fans all across the world have been thrilled with the exploits of Gentleman Chris Adams, but he has found a home here in the World Class region. Adams has collected titles all across the United Staes adn Europe, in his persuit of the WOrld Titel he has his sights set on the American Heavyweight Championship.
JJ: We see the star from Stratford-on-Avon here in a clip from Mid South Championship wrestling as he faces the dnagerous Masked Assassin.
Adams wins as he hits his Superkick on Assassin who had just missed a headbutt with a loaded mask.
JR: A nice win for Chris Adams over one of the crafiest , wilest veterans in the wrestling game, the Masked Assassin.
JJ: WE may see more of the Assassin in the future Jim, but I can guarantee you we will see lots more of Chris Adams and the excitiment he has to offer.
RR;Next we will see two of our competitors going against one another and to add to that they are two of th top luchadores in all of Mexico.
JR: Psicosis and Heavy Metal have traded the UWA Middle weigh and Cruiser weight titles between themselvves several times and though they are not paired agaisnt each other in the first round of the American Heavyweight Championship tournament, that is not to say these two high flyers won't meet in the later rounds, maybe even for all the marbles.
Psicosis and Heavy Metal battle to a double countout in a high flying bout that saw both men pull out all the sxtops. They are counted out when after a tope con hielo by Psicosis, both men are so worn and battered that neither one is able to get back into the ring before the referee completes the 20 count.
JJ: Those aren't the biggest dogs in this fight by any means, but you can never count them out of the contest, because the luch libre style is something not a lot of guys are used to and these guys are masters at that Mexican style of fighting.
RR:Speaking of dogs in the fight how about JunkYard Dog in tis fight
JR: We have seen one half of the final Mid South Tag Team Champions, Ricky Morton that has entered the American Heavyweight Championship Tournament, the final NOrth Americna HEavyweight Champion, the Junk Yard Dog has also thrown his hat into the ring so-to-speak. JYD has been one of the toughest competitors in pro wrestling many years.
JJ: When he hits a guy with that BIG THUMP Jim, it's all over with.
JR: Indeed Jerry most of the time it is. Let's go back to Mid South Championship Wrestlng and see the Dog in action.
Junk Yard Dog defeated Colonel Buck Robley with the Big Thump.
We go to Emily Jones standing by with JYD.
EJ: I'm here with one of the most popular men in all of pro wrestling the Junk Yard Dog.
JYD: Ms. Emily that sure is nice of you to say and might I say you sure are looking pretty today!! It doesn't matter how popular I am. There are a lot of tough men entered in the tournament to become the next American Heavyweight Champion and if the Dog is gonna lay in that sunshine them I've got to be on the top of my game. I've been training and watching all the tape I cna on as many guys as I cna and I can't wait to get in the ring and prove that this dog still has quite a bite left. Arrg ! Arg! Howl!!!
RR: the spotlight next falls on a man who has held the AWA World Championship and the WWF World Taf Titel on a couple of occassions Jerry the exciting Canadian superstar Rick Martel.
JJ: Even though he has risen to the top of a couple of inferior organizations Rick Martel has not reached the top of the NWA, but he fefinately has the ability to do so, and it will start with a good showing here in the Americna Heavyweight Championship tournament.
JR: I'm not sure Rick Martel has to prove himself to anyone, he has definately had some great success in this businss. Let's take a t look at Martel versus, another young Canadian Superstar, Dan Kroffat. from Calgary and Stampeded Championship Wrestling.
Kroffat grabs an early advantag but is soon no match for the veteran Martel who hits a swandive body block fo r the win.
JR: Very impressive showing by one of the odds-on favorites in the tournament.
RR: ANohter one of the favorites to win this tournament has got to be another former NWA World Heavyweight Champiopn and one of the most impressive physical specimens in the field the man simply known as GOLDBERG.
JR: Watch this clip from the NWA affiliate in Honolulu and see for yourself how impressive the former Defensive Tackle from the UNiversity of Georgia can be.
Bill Goldberg wins a three versus one handicap match over Johnny Pelelu, The MAsked Avenger, and Ricky Vaughn. He hits all three men with the spear/jackhammer combonation on the way to the easy victory.
JJ: Wow!!! That's all IC an say after watching Bill Goldberg beat three men. That is one of the most impressive things I think I've ever seen. I may need to sign him up for the Cowboys defensiveline as well as for World Class. He may not get to the quartback but if he eats up two or three blockers somebody will.
RR: The next man we are going to see doesn't quite have the physique of a goldberg, but he can be just as devistating.
JR: Abdullah the Butcher is one of the ost unpredictable and viscious individuals to ever step into a professional wrestling ring. No he may not be quite the athlete a Bill GOldberg is, But Abdullah is more than capable of making an impact on the American Championship Tournament and World Class Championship Wretling especially when Gary Hart is pulling the strings.
JJ: From San Juan, Puerto Rico here is Abdullah versus Invader Number One.
Abby is at the top of his game, destroying the Invader. It is easy to see the blood soaking through the popular Puerto Rican stars amsk. Abby ends the match with the Meat Cleaver.
JJ: I told you Terry Funk sdcared me, and I'm not sure Abdullah the Butcher doesn't give me just as many goose pimples.
RR: well fans we are halfway throught the field of 32 join us next week when we take a look at osme of the newr younger up-and coming faces entered in the American Heavyweight Championship Tournament. For Jim Ross and the Owner of World Class Championship Wrestling Jerry Jones, I am Rick Renner. We'll see you next week here on World Class Championship Sports Special Edition.
