Great News Is it safe to assume that there are still some legends that were signed last year that have yet to be released? Yes, there are still some signings from last year (Wrestle Reunion 4) that have not been announced yet including a cool LOW signing made by Toasterboy. But, once again, the signings this year at Wrestle Reunion 5 for LOW are definitely overall bigger names than the LOW signings last year at Wrestle Reunion 4. |

Why are signings so top secret? Never really understood that. Knowing might increase excitement and.......just never understood why it's so hush hush.

It's always something I've wondered about. I guess it's to build anticipation, but I think we'd do that just as well if we knew the names.

I think people don't say who've they signed because they don't feel it's their place to do so. Announcements come from Fed HQ alone. At least that's how I feel.
From a FG standpoint, I think that signings aren't announced because there's only 10 spots (or so) in a set. If you announce 20 signings, but only 10 get released you'll start arguments about why person A was released over person B. Plus we've also heard tell of last minute signings that shuffle the set around so you'd probably not want to announce someone who'd get bumped if a bigger* name drops in.
*I know the term bigger is relative.

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel too about my signings. Those things get publicly revealed/announced by guys like Tom and Tournament Master and I respect that. Just like Ty States did after he attended that WSU event last year, I think it's OK to say signings happened at a major event. But saying who exactly the signings were would be out of line IMO as that speciifc info should come come from guys like Tom and Tournament Master. |
