I had a major blast again this year, and plan on going again next year. Here is my review of the entire weekend complete with minor rant.
Friday: My adventure started as I was on the freeway heading to LA. At 7:30am I get stopped by traffic and my car stalls on me. No big deal it will start up again. Not this time as smoke and a nasty smell was coming from the engine. After sitting on the side for an hour I called a tow truck that had already stopped by and we took a trip back down the freeway so I could drop my now dead car at home. Said tow truck driver then dropped me off on the street so I could rent a car. Guess what no major credit card no rental. I finally got on the train at 1pm and made my way to LA. Next I took an hour bus ride to the corner of where I thought I needed to be only to walk another half hour down the street and arrive at the hotel just 15 minutes before my first Deluxe Photo Ops. (Ok rant over)
I met Mr. Vegas downstairs and got all checked in then headed to the pool for my photos with Ryan Shamrock and The Kat. Even after 10 plus years or so away from WWE they both still look awesome. Mr. Vegas and I then went to the cafe to eat and rest up for the ROH show. The ROH show was pretty good. It was so sweet to see The Kings of Wrestling vs Worlds Greatest Tag Team live. Just an all around good show. Around 11:30 when the show was over we went to the bar for a drink and see who showed up. Most all of the guys on the show were in the lounge area, and from where we were at the bar SoCal Val was down there and ODB was even getting her drink on minus the flask. Just before the bar closed down at 1am Mr. Vegas and I called it a night so we could get ready for Saturday.
Saturday: I headed down to the area where the shows are held at 9am so I could be there for my 9:30 Photo with Roddy Piper and Bob Orton on Piper's Pit. You have not lived until you meet Piper on person. He is so awesome to talk too and a riot. At first he thought he was going to interview everybody that was getting a picture but the photographer told him no and he said "I am not interviewing them? I was going to say I hope these people know what they are getting into." After that I went down to the convention area and walked around to all the vendors to see what was offered and wait for my noon Photo op. I ended up getting a picture with Torrie Wilson because it is Torrie Wilson and I havent had the opportunity to ever have a picture with her. I then headed back upstairs to the ring area again to get my Photo with The Hart Foundation. Let me tell you, it is no easy task getting in and out of the ring, either through the ropes or under the ropes. I still enjoyed it and the Foundation picture is my favorite.
Finally back down to the convention for autographs with the first 13 guests Roddy Piper, Tito Santana, Ryan Shamrock, Terry Funk, Tatanka, Val Venus, Mean Gene, Jim Neidhart, Vampiro, Shane Helms, Danny Davis, Essa Rios, and Shane Douglas. Right after my Hart Foundation picture we were told that 2 of the printers were down so it was going to take awhile for our pictures to get printed. I was bummed because after I went through the first line my picture finally printed out and I couldnt go back through and have either Neidhart or Danny Davis sign it. After that I went back to my room to rest up for the PWG show. Holy crap was that an even better show than ROH. The show was supposed to start at 8:15 but in typical PWG fashion things got started a little after 9. ODB came out for the first match as a surprise to most people since she wasnt scheduled to be wrestling but it was still a nice surprise. Then we got to Jake Roberts "retirement" match. It was what I expected it to be which was 3 minutes of crap but with Jake being Jake he made it what he could and the crowd ate it up. There was lots of Thank You Jake chants and everything. Then the Legends Battle Royal was up. Everybody was standing for this one since it was announced that 2 would start then every 30 seconds a new person would come out. Danny Davis and Mike Graham started out then Jimmy Hart came out third and it was beautiful. I had never seen Jimmy wrestle and never knew he did but he was gold in the ring running around and being heel Jimmy Hart. I got a good picture of Mike Graham trying to throw Jimmy out and him holding onto the ropes for dear life. It finally came down to Piper and Terry Funk as the last two. Funk grabbed a mic and wanted Piper to bow his head and the crowd to bow their heads and pray. Most of us knew what was coming next and sure enough Funk thunked Piper right in the face with the mic and it was on! Eventually Piper managed to get Funk out and win the whole thing. The show finally ended around 1am and I went to my room and crashed for Sunday.
Sunday: I was up early and downstairs for the Breakfast With Champions. It was money well spent as I was sitting with Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito. Due to the language barrier it was sort of tough to talk to Mr. Saito but his wife was there also for translating and it was still a good time. There were lots of good stories shared and a few of the guys talked about Mr. Fuji being a notorious ribber. It was a really great breakfast. Then we headed back downstairs for the last autographs with the remaining guests that included: Paul Orndorff, Bob Orton, Barry O, SoCal Val, The Powers of Pain, Traci Brooks, Savio Vega, Mr. Fuji, Mr. Saito, Mike Graham, and Ken Patera. The whole convention wrapped up around 2 and Mr. Vegas had already left for the airport. I was going to walk back down the street to catch another hour bus to the trainstation but Grant generously offered to give me a ride. I want to thank Grant for giving me one last trip around the city, thanks to his GPS and being late for a class we took a good trip and I almost ended up going to his class with him.
All in all it was a really great weekend, and between myself, Mr. Vegas, and Grant we got some really big signings too. When they come out you guys will love them.

Is it safe to assume that there are still some legends that were signed last year that have yet to be released? I look forward to hearing all who were signed at Wrestle Reunion and enjoy the stories that we get to hear after they are announced.

Is it safe to assume that there are still some legends that were signed last year that have yet to be released? Yes, there are still some signings from last year (Wrestle Reunion 4) that have not been announced yet including a cool LOW signing made by Toasterboy. But, once again, the signings this year at Wrestle Reunion 5 for LOW are definitely overall bigger names than the LOW signings last year at Wrestle Reunion 4.
