Nora put up a great fight against Jazz who just didnt have an answer for anything Nora threw at her and Nora retained the Women's Title.

The Road Warriors defeated The Love Brothers. (Animal pinned Hartford with the DOOMSDAY DEVICE.)

The Midnight Express and Miracle Violence Connection wasted no time in going after each other before the start of their match. All four men brawled all the way out to the ring and a ref had no choice but to come out and start the match.

Sherri Martel defeated Trinity Denucci after a leg drop.

George Hackenschmidt defeated George Steel with RUSSIAN BEAR HUG.

Buff Bagwell defeated Savage-T with the BUFF BLOCKBUSTER.

Dennis Condrey defeated Les Thatcher after the FACE FIRST LEG SWEEP.

Bobby Heenan and Harley Race come down to the ring to major boos and both look happy.

BH: "Well tonight Harley is going to have his tune up match for the Royal Rumble. This choice of opponent was hand picked also by Mr. Bockwinkel so bring out the opponent.

Harley Race defeated Mr. X with the PILEDRIVER.

Of course it would be Mr. X. We all thought that Race was going to have a real tune up match, but naturally we were all fooled and both Heenan and Race are smiling at their misdeed.

Double Dog Collar Match
The Sheepherders defeated Rob Van Dam and Sabu

Who would have thought that in this blowoff match The Sheepherders would finally take out RVD and Sabu? It finally happened though but I dont think we will see the last of these four men going at each other.

World Heavyweight Title Match
Antonio Inoki defeated Curt Hennig by DQ. (Hennig kept ramming Inokis head into the guardrails at ringside.)

So much for sportsmanship on the part of Curt Hennig. It was a fairly decent and clean match until the 15 minute mark when they headed to the outside. Hennig just kept slamming Inoki down onto the guardrails and ignored the ref to get back in the ring forcing the ref to call for the DQ and the crowd to become very unhappy with the outcome.

ECW Title Match
The Terrible Turk defeated The Sandman with a rib crusher.

Turk said he was going to do it and he did. He and Sandman went back and forth in a pretty non hardcore type of match and finally after repeated rib crushers The Sandman couldnt take anymore and submitted to The Terrible Turk. The Terrible Turk begins his second reign as ECW Champion.

Before the LWF Title match the wrestlers are seen picking their numbers for the Rumble. Super Crazy comes in and draws his number from the tumbler and looks very pleased. As he is leaving Nick Bockwinkel comes in and glances at Crazys number, then out of nowhere clotheslines him and steals the number looking very happy with himself.

A Video package now plays highlighting the feud between Nick Bockwinkel and Lou Thesz, with the inclusion of Harley Race into the Title match tonight. Then Harley and Bobby Heenan come to the ring and inform everybody that the match is now 2 out of 3 falls. The crowd boos as Heenan and Race look extremely pleased with themselves.

1st Fall: Harley Race pinned Lou Thesz after the PILEDRIVER
2nd Fall: Harley Race defeated Lou Thesz by Count Out.


Well so much for The Heenan Family plan on getting the Title off of Lou Thesz. Yes Harley won 2 straight falls but because he won the second by Count Out he fails to get the Title which stays with Lou Thesz. Both Heenan and Race are furious and argue with the ref but it does no good. Now Nick Bockwinkel needs to hope he can win the rumble or no title shot for him.

Now we know why Nick was so happy, he grabbed number 30 off of Super Crazy and cruised to an easy Rumble win last eliminating Danny Hodge in an incredible match. Now Nick will go to Wrestlemania to face Lou Thesz or whoever happens to the the LWF Champion.

Announcer: "Wow what a night, one title changed hands and Nick Bockwinkel did what he said he would and won the Royal Rumble. We will find out the fall out tomorrow night on RAW, goodnight!

Announcer: "Welcome to RAW everybody. What a night at the Royal Rumble last night! Nick Bockwinkel won the Rumble match and we know will be facing Lou Thesz or whoever the LWF Champion is come Wrestlemania! Lets get to the ring for the start of the action!"

Penny Banner defeated Jazz after a top rope splash.

Penny just took it to Jazz and eventually pinned her. After the match Jazz decided to attack and beat Penny until Nora Greenwald came out for the save and drew Jazz away screaming that Nora was next.

Exotic Adrian Street defeated Mr. X after The Daffodil.

Yukon Eric defeated The Mountie by DQ. (The Shock Stick was used.)

Jim Duggan and Ted Dibiase defeated The Killer Bees. (Duggan pinned Jim Brunzell after a piledriver.)

This was a fairly good match heading into the Tag Team Invitational coming up. Duggan and Dibiase got the win.

Jushin Liger defeated Tiger Mask with the FISHERMAN'S BUSTER.

Ida Mae Martinez defeated Nora Greenwald after her DROPKICK.

Jazz made an appearance during this match and knocked Nora silly with a punch which allowed Ida Mae to hit her DROPKICK for the non title win.

The New Age Outlaws defeated The Armstrongs. (B.G. James pinned Brad Armstrong after a spike piledriver.)

Eddie Gilbert defeated Kevin Sullivan after a DDT.

Main Event: Lou Thesz defeated The Crusher with a THESZ PRESS.

RVD: "Come on Charlie I think I have proven what it takes to be the ECW Champion just give me a chance."

CC: "Ok fine Van Dam, I will grant you your title shot, but if you fail to win the title, then you go back to the bottom of the list and wont get another shot until you get back up the ranks."

RVD: "I can live with that Charlie I will do whatever it takes to get the title off of Turk."

Al Snow defeated Timber after a moonsault.

Sabu defeated Danny Doring with the CAMEL CLUTCH.

Doring has done since joining the ECW brand, maybe it is time for a change.

The Sheik defeated Jerry Lynn with the CAMEL CLUTCH.

Main Event: Rob Van Dam defeated Harker Dirge with the FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH.
