I found this looking at old ECW resutls:
Body Count Match: Pat Tanaka pinned Rocco Rock
Anybody know what 'Body Count' match is?
If I could find out, I might be interested in creating such a match for the game.

I found this looking at old ECW resutls: Body Count Match: Pat Tanaka pinned Rocco Rock Anybody know what 'Body Count' match is? If I could find out, I might be interested in creating such a match for the game. That has me curious as well. That dates back to the days when ECW was Eastern Championship Wrestling. Tod Gordon was the owner and a young Paul Heyman was just getting his start as a booker. Paul was a student of Eddie Gilbert, who was ahead of his time with pushing male soap opera themes to the forefront. Paul took the garbage style Memphis had perfected and gave it a cutting edge, rebellious feel that was marketed toward a younger, northeastern demo in Philly. Cable exposure and underground trading among hardcore fans was the difference maker, which helped to attract a cult following beyond the locals. It would be interesting to revisit this 'Body Count' idea (which doesn't seem to show up on Google beyond the referenced 12/93 match). It would be an example of one of Paul's first experiments. From the old Sports Channel Philadelphia show, compare the difference in tone between the Gilbert '93 and Heyman '94 TV opens, the age old conundrum of whether to play it safe and push familiar names or take a risk and try to establish a niche brand:

Yeah, I've searched high and low on Google. It's driving me nuts that I can't find anything. :-)
