The fact that they aren't real doesn't mean they can't be legends! Exhibit number one, Tommy Overdrive. Tommy is every regional independent champion you never saw circa 1994; the muscle armbands, the black spandex bike shorts with contrasting color sidestripe, the knee pads that match said sidestripe, and calf-length white patent leather boots. The typical big fish in the small pond, Tommy never made it past television squash matches on the national level, but he carved out a nice niche for himself in the Indiana/Illinois/Missouri area for the better part of two decades. TOMMY OVERDRIVE | 6'1"; 242; Lafayette, IN | Level 1 Offense | Level 1 Defense | 1. chop to chest - 1 2. hip toss - 2 3. forearm smash - 2 4. running knee - 2 (ag) 5. body slam - 2 (pw) 6. jumping back elbow - 3 (ch D) | 1. The fact that they aren't real doesn't mean they can't be legends! Exhibit number two, Steve "All Night" Rocker first gained prominence in the southern United States as part of the All Night Rockers with partner and "brother" Al Rocker (real name Alan Gunkell) in the mid 1980s. When Al decided to call it quits Steve struck out on his own and became a popular mid-card performer for several regional territories. Steve's high energy style was a hit with the younger fans and in 1987 he was signed to compete for the number two national wrestling company in the United States. Sadly, his career was cut short just one year later as a result of an in-ring injury but his career continues right here in the FLS (Fictional Legendary Stars). STEVE "ALL NIGHT" ROCKER | 5'10"; 227; Wendell, NC | Level 1 Offense | Level 1 Defense | 1. back heel trip - 1 2. arm drag - 1 3. flying head scissors - 2 (ag) 4. into the turnbuckle 5. atomic drop - 2 (pw) 6. suplex - 3 (pw) | 1. hurt - 2 2. hurt - 2 3. dazed - 1 (tag) 4. dazed - 1 (tag) 5. The fact that they aren't real doesn't mean they can't be legends! Exhibit number three, Gary Stanton was a successful college wrestler and football player. After his college career was over in 1971 he was recruited heavily by a famous Minnesota wrestling promoter with a penchant for pushing amateur wrestlers and "legitimate athletes" in his territory. Stanton had all of the physical attributes and skills to be a success, but may have lacked the charisma to catch on with the fans. Stanton flirted with the top of the card in tag team and six-man matches, often teamed with the promoter's son and another top draw, but never quite caught on enough to main event on his own. Once out of his comfort zone of the upper midwest, Stanton never distinguished himself from the pack enough to make a serious impact. He had a solid, if uninspiring, ten year career and retired to open a successful chiropractic clinic in Iowa. GARY STANTON | 6'2"; 235; Des Moines, IA | Level 1 Offense | Level 1 Defense | 1. collar and elbow tieup - 1 2. single leg takedown - 1 3. hip throw - 2 (ag) 4. arm bar - 2 (pw) 5. into the turnbuckle 6. gut wrench - 3 (ch E) | 1. GARY STANTON - 2 2. hurt - 2 3. GARY STANTON - 1 4. dazed - 1 5. dazed - 1 6. dazed - 1 (tag) | Level 2 Offense | Level 2 Defense | 1. standing surfboard - 2 2. front chancery - 2 3. forearm uppercut - 2 4. into the ropes (c) 5. suplex - 3 6. pair of dropkicks - 3 | 1. hurt - 2 2. hurt - 2 3. hurt - 2 (tag) 4. down - 3 5. GARY STANTON - 2 6. GARY STANTON - 1 | Level 3 Offense | Level 3 Defense | 1. fireman's carry - 2 2. double arm suplex - 3 (ch H) 3. out of the ring (c) 4. abdominal stretch - 3 5. spinning toehold - 3 6. AIRPLANE SPIN (+1) | 1. hurt - 2 2. hurt - 2 3. down - 3 4. down - 3 5. hurt - 2 6. PIN 5(2) | Ropes - A Turnbuckle - B Ring - C Deathjump - C Disqualification - 4 | Agility 0 Power 0 Cage 4 |
