An admission: I really enjoyed the dying days of WWECW. I may have been the only one, but to me, it was a breath of fresh air in the otherwise uber-corporate "WWE Universe". Pro wrestling at it's most basic level. Small, evolving roster. One hour of TV a week, feeding to a single title match and (very rarely) a secondary match on PPV. Completely random tag teams (anyone else miss TatsuDust)? So I want to do something similar. I'll have a singles title and a tag title, both initially vacant. 3-4 matches per week, 1-2 matches on a "corporate PPV" every 5th week. So here we go...it may not be the best, but it is simple. And sometimes simple is fun.

CCW Show 2 January 11th, 2000
Show starts in the locker room, as Roderick Van Dam IV brings in a suitcase of money. He finds Greg Valentine, who is getting for his match.
RVD IV: "Excuse me kind sir, I was wondering if I could have just a moment of your time."
Valentine: "Make it quick, twerp!"
RVD IV: "Well, sir, I know that you are a well-known tag team competitor. Since my unfortunate loss last week, I find myself quite keen to challenge for the Tag Team Championship. So what do you say, chap, shall we dance? I can cover all training expenses!" (points gleefully to the suitcase he is holding)
Valentine (looking exasperated): "You are annoying, go away!"
Valentine leaves the arena as the CCW TV opening plays
Debut of "The Beast" Greg "The Hammer" Valentine defeated Dan "The Beast" Severn with a small package.
Valentine returns to the locker room, passing RVD IV along the way:
RVD IV: "Good show! That is why I want you as my partner, my good man!"
Valentine: "No, go find someone else. Look there is someone now! You are so annoying! Shoo!"
CCW Championship Semi-Final: Steve Williams defeated D' Lo Brown with a backdrop driver.
Roderick Van Dam IV is outside a locker room. He composes himself and walks in. "Well, if it isn't the mighty Road Warrior, Hawk! I know you have a big match coming up tonight, but I want to talk...business. I'll get right to it. I would like to bestow upon you the honor of teaming with the great man himself, Roderick Van Dam the Fourth." (he points to himself during each word, finishing by patting himself on the back)
Hawk was not really paying much attention, he was warming up for his match with Inoki. "Look, kid, my teaming days are in the past right now. I'm only thinking about Inoki, so unless you can help me with that....."
RVD IV: "Say no more, my dear man!" (he smiles and leaves the locker room)
CCW Championship Semi-Final: Antonio Inoki defeated "The Road Warrior" Hawk via DQ when Roderick Van Dam IV hit Inoki with his briefcase in full view of the referee (to the severe annoyance of Hawk)
After the main event, Hawk took off after RVD IV, and brought him back into the ring. Hawk hit him with a powerslam and a flying clothesline, as Inoki was recovering in the ring.
"THERRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEE. Now that I got rid of THAT piece of garbage! Inoki! I want another match. Not about the tournament, I want to show I can beat you!"
Dan Severn then came down to the ring. "He pulled the tights! Valentine pulled my tights! He ruined the debut of 'The Beast'! Valentine I want you next week!"
This brought out Valentine. "I beat you fair and square Severn. Why does everyone here cry so much? I once died my hair black! I had to carry so many no talents to tag team championships! And now I'm here in CCW. Alright, look. You want me Severn? Hawk, you are a tag wrestler like me, and you want to show Inoki? I don't think you want to team with Severn, so I say, next week: Hawk and I versus Severn and Inoki? Agreed?"
Severn agrees, and Inoki doesn't quite seem to know what is going on, but shakes everyone's hand and it seems we have an agreement as the show goes off the air!
Next Week: Killer Kowalski vs D' Lo Brown Nick Bockwinkle vs "Rambling" Roy Heffernan Dan "The Beast" Severn & Antonio Inoki vs "The Road Warrior" Hawk & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine

CCW Show 3 January 18th, 2000
We get right to the ring this week:
D' Lo Brown defeated Killer Kowalkski when Kowalkski was disqualified for biting
After the match, Roderick Van Dam IV, with his ever-present briefcase goes into the locker room where Greg Valentine and Hawk are warming up for their match.
RVD IV: "Gentlemen, I am glad you are both here. Last week....didn't go very well for us....."
Valentine: "It went fine for me there buddy. I won my match."
RVD IV: "Well, yes, but...". Hawk finally notices RVD IV in the room and charges after him. Valentine thinks for a second, and then decides to hold Hawk back.
Valentine: "Let's hear the little twerp out."
RVD IV: "Finally, a voice of reason. Listen, Hawk, I TRIED to help you, just like you asked"
Hawk snarls at him.
RVD IV: "Right, well, um...yeah. So which one of you are going to be my partner to go after the CCW tag team championship?"
Valentine looks at him for a second and then laughs.
Valentine: "Funny you should ask that kid, you see, since we were teaming this week, Hawk and I have had a bunch of time to talk. We seem to mesh well. We actually decided that if tonight goes well, we might just do this full-time! We even picked out a name: The, er, Hammer Warriors! (laughs) What do you think, Hawk?"
Hawk (screaming): "OHHHHHHHHHHH WHATTTTTTTTTTT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..........HAMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR!"
RVD IV runs away, quite scared.
Valentine: "We may need to work on that..."
We go back to the ring: Nick Bockwinkle defeated "Rambling" Roy Heffernan by DQ after Heffernan got frustrated during the match and hit Bockwinkle with a chair
After the match, Heffernan kept hitting Bockwinkle while screaming at him, leaving him laying as other wrestlers and referees finally pulled him off and to the back.
Main Event: The Hammer Warriors (Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Hawk) defeated Dan Severn and Antonio Inoki when Hawk pinned Severn after the Doomsday Device(!)
The show ends with the newly-formed Hammer Warriors celebrating their win...and an add for next week:
"Five days before Ultra-Mega-Excitement Battle: It's time to PICK YOUR POISON! Steve Williams and Antonio Inoki will each pick an opponent for the other. See it live next week!"
Next Week: The Ultra-Mega-Excitement Battle Royal Qualifying Match: Nick Bockwinkle vs Ox Baker Pick Your Poison Matches: Antonio Inoki vs Steve Williams' choice Steve Williams vs Antonio Inoki's choice
