Great to see a Chikara section added to the boards. I'm really looking forward to this set. Just figured I'd ask everyone who their favorite star in Chikara is?
For me it's Ultramantis Black. I like his in-ring work and character plus his commentary is a riot. He's really a well rounded member of the Chikara roster and I hope he gets a card in the color set due in July 2011. I have many favorites in the promotion but he tops the list for me.

I also can not name a favorite having never seen a show, just bits and pieces on youtube. I am confused as to how these indy feds work. Many of the wrestlers mentioned on here are in ROH. Do these guys wrestler for multiple feds at the same time? I hope someone can clue me in on this.

That's pretty much how it works, particularly on the independent circuit as most guys (or gals) compete for various promotions. You will see Chikara stars pop up in ROH, PWG, and other indy groups wherever they can get bookings. Chikara basically runs two or three shows per month so it frees up their talent to book themselves in other promotions in the meantime. Hope that clears it up for you. By the way, if anyone hasn't seen Chikara check youtube, their web site, or even better go to smartmarkvideo for their DVD's. I only have a handful of full shows but have collected all of the Best of 2002, 2003, etc. DVD's and the promotion is just a lot of fun to watch and a nice alternative. To add to my initial post, besides Ultramantis Black other favorites I have in Chikara are Quack, BDK, Jigsaw, and the sadly retired Mr. Zero.
