I know that we have Legends of the future coming up. I think it's great but I probably won't buy it. However, I understand that there are many wrestling fans on this site who are open to the idea and follow the Indy scene. I'm just wondering due to the wording on the Legends website of taking LOW in a new direction does this mean that the Legends of the past are a thing of the past? If it isn't, is it realistic to expect another set this year?
Cheers!

It must be getting harder and harder to sign names, even past sets have received critiscm even though I thought they were all to a high standard.

There are still lots of names out there and there will be a more typical set coming out later this year.........if I were to guess, I'd say Octoberish.

I'm getting intrigued by Future Legends, I wonder if their stats will be tailored so that if they were bought into legends by promoters, it would reflect realistically? I'm sure these guys have much talent but if I were to buy a set and wanted one guy to compete, I would like to think he would put up a good match at best but job to the Legends.

That's my understanding of how it's going to work. They'll be best suited to go up against each other and would not stand much of a chance vs Buddy Rogers, Harley Race, etc.

You and Havoc have it right!

That would be cool, I think I might buy this set. Some of you guys might have to fill me in on how indy feds work.

Of course, dice can do some crazy things...
Statistically, are these guys (on average) closer to Steve Corino or SD Jones? (Not that I'm sure there's a difference, as Corino has lost to Jones every time I've had that match, I think...but again, dice do crazy things).

Havoc brings up a great point...Most of today's wrestlers wouldn't stand a chance against the "legends", which is yet another reason why I decided to go with 3 "promotions", it just seems more realistic to me. While it's impossible to be 100% accurate due to the lengthy careers of some wrestlers, I've tried to group them in the era's which they were most successful. Actually, I'm quite anxious to add the new set of Indy wrestlers to my most "current" promotion, & I've never even seen any of them wrestle! What better way to learn about these guys than to have a federation filled with them? I'd love to see more older wrestlers added as well, but I think the "Legends of the Future" will really give this game a more current feel, which should appeal to alot younger of an audience who might not have seen or remember some of the Legends that are currently represented. After all, someone has to carry on the tradition when we're all gone, right?
