Since nobody responded to my 'Starting Up' thread, I have another question: How often should fighters fight in the future? Do they heal faster, or is it like today with weeks of preparation/healing? How often do you see a fighter fighting in a 'game year'?

Personally I do see medical advancements and non-human biology adding to the potential match time for each fighter. But I currently only run one MMA show a week with only 4 fights a card and 6 Supercards with up to 8 bouts, so the in ring time for each fighter is not really a big deal. No one fights that often right now. Thinking of expanding to a 6 to 8 match show a week and the 6 supercards being the only times the belts are held up, but that is a work in progress.

I think a weekly show with four to six matches, maybe one to two top guys in the main event, with the rest being lower guys would work. Possibly a PPV every month to keep things fresh and going (that being the time the titles are on the line). Possibly have the top talent wrestling once or twice per month.

I generally have fighters on a three or four card rotation barring injury.
But I can run one or two cards a week, so I do get a quicker turn around.

I have them fight about every other month in game time. I have a rotation set up so guys usually go 2-3 months between fights. Sometimes guys will fight like 6 weeks apart. I mean Jon Jones is going to fight Shogun Rua in 5 weeks. Why can't guys in the future do that?

Well, technically speaking, each real life fighter would prefer to fight after five or six weeks. And they can. But with a league like the UFC, the sheer number of fighter that want and need exposure puts that at more of a 9'to 12 week rotation. Most of the training time is spent working on specific attacks and counters based on the opponent.
But heck with stuff like Star Trek heal all drugs and Bacta,, training (and recovery) time would be shortened.
